Speaker 1 (00:29):
Thank you.
What's going on world?
What's going on world?
It is World World Variety withMatt, your host, and we're
bringing it back.
I know we have been gone for awhile, I know things have been a
little bit crazy, but we arebringing it back and I've got
(00:53):
all kinds of weirdness for you, some funny stuff we're going to
be doing this week.
We're going to be doing ananime section, since we haven't
done an anime section in a while.
So, yeah, we're gonna go aheadand get started right on that.
So let's transition to ourfirst weird news story of the
(01:16):
week.
Let's get it going, let's getit popping, all right.
So it's been a while since we'vedone any sports and I thought
this one was interesting becauseit affects a lot of what we see
on TV.
So if you watch sports, some ofyou might like different sports
(01:40):
, some of you might not.
If you have a certain sport, please comment below or let us
know what kind of sport that youlike.
But this one involvesbasketball.
Now, basketball, admittedly, isnot my favorite sport to watch
on TV.
It's kind of like I know I'mgoing to catch a lot of hate for
(02:03):
this it's kind of likebasketball is OK to watch.
It's more of a background thingfor me.
I think it's more interestingwhen you're at the game, so I
kind of view it as like baseball, whereas, like, I'd rather be
there experiencing it thanwatching it on TV, because
watching on on TV is kind ofit's okay.
(02:25):
There's some crazy things thathappens during basketball games
which make it a little bit moreexciting than, let's say, golf
or tennis or or racing or thingslike that.
So, yeah, I'm probably going tocatch a lot of hate for that,
but that's okay.
Everybody's got their sportsthat they like to watch.
(02:47):
I also sit around and turn onsoccer in the background, and
that's a background sport for me.
I think a major area of sportsthat I like is just the college
realm.
I know a lot of people likeprofessional sports, but for me
I like the college realm becausethe college realm is more
(03:08):
exciting, a little bit lesspredictable than some of the
professional sports, becausesome of the professional sports
involve a lot of money, although, to be honest, college sports
is getting to the point wherethere's a lot of money involved
too.
So it may not be long before Istop watching sports altogether,
but the college sports realm isstill decently fun to watch,
(03:31):
and preferably.
For me, college football iswhere my realm is at as far as,
like basketball is concerned.
College basketball is excitingtoo.
It gets a little bit moreexciting during march madness,
and then of course, there's thenba.
The nba is is kind of back andforth.
I don't know, I honestly don'thave a love for nba, but it's.
(03:57):
It's still fun to watch withfriends or have on the
background.
So we're gonna be talking aboutsports.
The reason why is because thisaffects a lot of basketball.
So if this were to be a thing,so this article that I'm reading
here, if this were to come topass, let's say if this idea was
to come to pass, it wouldchange a lot of the basketball
(04:19):
game as a whole and how we lookat what we're watching, say, on
TV.
It could be good, could be bad.
Let's get into the pros andcons of each one, ok, so first
off, the article itself.
Hardwood is basketball'slongtime foundation.
A Germany company would love tochange that to glass.
(04:40):
Now, germany does have a lot oftech that they bring to the
floor in the world, so no punintended, but they actually do a
lot of tech, and I'm sure ifyou know about German car
companies and things like that.
They're big and influential inthe tech space.
So for the fact that they'dlike to change hardwood to glass
(05:03):
in basketball courts, I've gotto assume there's some tech
involved.
That's just my assumption, based on what it sounds like.
All right, um, so let's see alittle bit through.
Okay, so this one says uh, christhornton loves to talk about
playing basketball on the mostfragile sounding surfaces glass.
Why, okay, a German companybuilding floors made of
(05:28):
fused-together layers of safetyglass?
Okay, first of all, it's safetyglass covering LED panels.
Now, what did I say?
If it's involved Germany, there's got to be some tech
involved.
So this is where it starts.
The courts are far more dynamicvisual feast with customized
playing lines, logos, colors, animated graphics and
(05:50):
advertisement with multiplesorts, with multiple sports, not
multiple sorts, all right.
So this is where my issue comesin.
All right.
Issue comes in All right.
First of all, if you watchsports in your sports
(06:10):
connoisseur, or you, in yourfriends, watch sports a lot,
you'll notice that there's adsin everything.
Now, and I mean it practicallyruns everything.
You can't even go onlinewithout seeing an ad.
You can't read an articlewithout seeing an ad.
You can't do anything onlinewithout seeing an ad now, and
there's a lot of advertising insports right now, to begin with.
So for the fact that they wantto add LED panels to the floor,
(06:33):
obviously you know where I'mgoing with this.
There's some pros and cons, thepros being yes, we get a more
interesting court to watch.
Also, con might drive yourfamily's eyes crazy, depending
on what they put on the court.
Now you're talking LED panelslike this is basically like
(06:55):
playing on a huge TV, like theseguys would be playing
basketball on a huge TV and thecourt could change colors and do
all kinds of crazy stuff.
Pros and cons on a huge TV andthe court could change colors
and do all kinds of crazy stuff.
Pros and cons Again pro, you'dhave a more interesting back
court.
You'd have a more interestingTV experience.
Con right away.
(07:16):
Tech is hackable.
I'm just going to say it.
Tech is hackable, so I don'tsee this going well at all.
If you have anything with anLED panel, a computer, a TV
screen, a monitor, it ishackable.
(07:37):
Now, granted the NBA andprofessional sports, they
already have LED panels andmonitors and stuff and we do
fine with them.
Whatever already have ledpanels and monitors and stuff
and we do fine with them, whatever.
I'm just saying, with a targetthat big, someone's going to
want to hack it, I'm sure.
Uh, so there's that problem.
The other problem is visually.
Um, you could also drivepeople's eyes crazy, especially
(07:58):
if they're older and they'rewatching the court that's
changing a million colors anddoing a million different
animations.
Third thing that might be badis just the distraction from the
game, so you're no longerwatching the game, you're
watching a, basically TV withina TV, which is wild.
(08:21):
And then the last part is it'seasy to distract players with a
court that's animated.
I'm sure it's not going to makeit easier for them, although a
lot of pros would be like well, you can play on anything if
you're a professional, well,that's fine.
(08:41):
But I'm still seeing the factthat you might be distracted
just a little bit if your courtis changing colors and doing
things without your knowledgeright below your feet.
And the last bad thing that Isee with this is they're going
to use it for too muchadvertising and it's going to be
already blown out of proportionmore than it already is.
(09:01):
And advertising today just istoo much.
There's too much ads oneverything and you can't even
enjoy the game anymore.
There's no.
I mean, they're getting back tocreativity with some of the
jerseys and designs that they'remaking, but at one point there
were so many ads on the jerseyand everything that they it just
didn't look that great.
So I don't know.
(09:23):
You know, let me know what youthink.
I don't know if this is a goodthing.
This is definitely interestingand definitely up there with one
of the crazier ideas.
What?
Let me know what you wouldthink of an LED court.
I know, as a kid I probablywould have loved it, but in
professional sports, I don'tknow, I really don't.
(09:45):
So, yeah, let me know.
April Fool's Day just happened.
So I didn't want to record onApril Fool's Day because, yeah,
I didn't want to be taken as ajoke.
Quite literally, all right, joke, quite literally, all right
(10:12):
.
So with our April Fool's article, april Fool's Day is celebrated
with pranks and hoaxesworldwide.
Now, I knew that we celebratedit here in America, but I didn't
know how it worked around theworld.
I guess it is a worldwide thing.
Let's check in and see whathappened here, from France to
Iceland to the United States, april Fool's Day will be
celebrated on Tuesday, withpractical jokes and elaborate
hoaxes.
(10:33):
So to make sure to triple checkviral posts.
You know, honestly, I don'teven look at the internet that
day.
I don't look at my phone.
I try to avoid my phone becausebasically everything that you
see online is probably a lie ora hoax.
So I try not to look atanything and we kind of agreed
in my family to not look at thephone at all on April Fool's Day
(10:54):
because it's all bogus.
Your location.
It could be marked with a fishsecretly pinned to someone's
back, or a whoopee cushion, oreven news reports of flying
penguins.
Yes, that actually happened inthe us.
(11:14):
Pranks are typically followedby screams of april fools to
make sure all are aware of theunsuspecting recipient of a
practical joke.
Here are some things to to knowabout April Fool's Day and its
history.
Where did it come from?
There are plenty of theoriesabout where this day of pranks
and hoaxes came from.
(11:34):
It's not clear exactly whichone might be true, but what is
clear is that April Fool's Dayhas roots stretching back
hundreds of years.
One idea is that it dates backto France in 1564, with King
Charles IX moved the New Yearcelebration from its week-long
observance beginning March 25thto a celebration on January 1st,
(11:56):
according to the Library ofCongress, congress Congress.
Those who forgot or who werenever told about the change were
mocked, although the librarynotes that the true history of
the new year is more complicatedas different parts of the
country is reserved on differentdays.
So, as a similar theory tiesApril Fool's Day to the 1582
(12:24):
change from the Julian of theGregorian calendar, according to
the library, but it explainsthat this type of origin story
has been used to explain severalholidays and maybe more of a
migratory legend, could beconnected to the march 21st,
(12:48):
vernal equinox, which is knownas a day when people are tricked
by unexpected weather changes.
Interesting, according toencyclopedia britannica,
whatever its origin, the firsttime there was clear documented
reference to the day was in 1561, when the Flemish writer Edward
I don't know how to say thisEdward de Dene I think it's
(13:12):
D-E-N-E, d-e-n-e.
You can you know what you candebate about that yourselves
Wrote in his poem about anobleman sending his servant on
pointless tasks.
According to the library ofcongress, the servant soon
realizes that he has been senton a fool's errand because it's
(13:33):
april 1st.
There you go.
Where do you guys think it camefrom?
That's some cool theories, uh.
And what are your favoritepranks?
I know, for it's always theselike I can see them coming a
mile away.
But, like when I go online andI look for new movies or new TV
shows, these pranks are usuallylike posters or things they try
(13:54):
to announce that are like themost absurd TV and news shows.
Or they might try to trick thepublic into like oh, they're
going to announce a season two,or they announced a season two,
or whatever.
And when you know it's justbogus because we don't get shows
that fast, or you know youdon't get your show that fast,
or whatever.
So yeah for me, and drink waterhere.
(14:19):
For me.
It's got to be that it's got tobe bogus, because a lot of the
shows that I watch do not comeout that fast.
All right, so please, yeah, whydon't you guys tell us what
your favorite April Fool's prankis and let us know where to
watch it or if it's recordedonline?
(14:40):
That would be cool.
Next, all right.
So we did this story a whileback and I thought it'd be cool
to cover this again because ithas an update.
If you listen to this show, youremember that we reported on a
certain toilet that went missing.
(15:02):
Yes, kids I said toilet family,I said missing.
Yes, kids.
I said toilet Family, I saidtoilet.
Yes, this is toilet talk.
We reported on a certain toiletthat went missing, and this
toilet just happened to be solidgold stolen from an English
(15:25):
palace.
Well, we got an update today.
That's quite interestingbecause the thief who stole the
golden toilet from the Englishpalace got convicted today.
So he got caught.
Bad guy got caught London.
He got caught.
Bad guy got caught London.
A thief who swiped a goldentoilet from the English palace
(15:52):
was convicted Tuesday, alongwith an accomplice who helped
cash in on the spoils of the18-carat work of art insured for
nearly 5 million pounds.
Now for our US listeners, that's a little over six million
dollars.
Michael Jones had used a fullyfunctioning one of a kind
latrine as he did reconnaissanceat Blenheim Palace, the country
(16:15):
mansion where British wartimeleader Winston Churchill was
born.
The day before the theft, prosecutors said he described
the experience as quote unquotesplendid.
He returned before dawn onSeptember 14th 2019, with at
least two other men armed withsledgehammers and crowbars.
(16:39):
They smashed a window and priedthe toilet from its plumbing
within five minutes, leaving adamaged flood in their wake as
they escaped in stolen vehicles.
Now, I don't know about you,but that's gotta be one heavy
toilet to try to steal.
I mean, regular toilets areheavy enough, but have you ever
(17:01):
tried to lift a gold one?
At least not in my time, Ihaven't.
This was an audacious raid whichhad been carefully planned and
executed, prosecutor SeanSaunders said, but those
responsible were not carefulenough, leaving a trail of
(17:27):
evidence in the form offorensics, cctv footage and
phone data.
The purloined potty has neverbeen recovered, but is believed
to have been cut up and sold.
Yeah, I think that was what weread in the first story, that
the actual toilet itself was cutup and sold, but they caught
supposedly the person who did itwith his.
(17:48):
I don't know if they caught hisaccomplices, it says, but they
definitely caught the thief, which is crazy.
Let's put it this way.
The satirical work titledAmerica by Italian conceptual
artist Mariso Catalean poked funat excessive wealth.
(18:08):
It weighed just over 215 pounds.
The value of the gold at thetime was 22.8 million or $3.6
million.
The piece had previously beenon display at the Guggenheim
Museum in New York.
The museum had offered the workto US President Donald Trump
(18:28):
during his first term in office, after he had asked to borrow a
Van Gogh painting.
Jones, 39, was convicted ofburglary in Oxford Crown Court.
The theft was planned by JamesSheen, 40, who previously
pleaded guilty to burglary, conspiracy and transferring
criminal property.
(18:49):
Sheen then worked to broker adeal with Fred Doe to cash in on
the haul.
Prosecutors said In a series oftext messages Sheen referred to
the loot as a car, but he wasactually talking about the gold.
Yeah, that wasn't really hardto piece together.
Doesn't take a genius to figurethat one.
If you're going to plan a heist,it's probably not the right way
(19:09):
to do it.
To be honest, I'll link up withyou.
I got something right up foryour path.
Shane told Tone one message.
So here's my thing.
Nowadays it's so hard, it's sodifficult to be a criminal, and
here's my reasoning it is soeasy to trace.
(19:31):
So, like if you use any sort oftechnology in your quote
unquote heist or anything likethat, these messages and
everything can all be tracedLike someone can get a clue on
it, someone can find it.
There's nothing that you doonline or on your phone or
whatever that can't be traced.
So the fact that they did thisheist and they used messages to
(19:55):
kind of convey, even though theytried to be cryptic in their
messages, y'all still got caught.
So the question is who knowswhere the pieces of toilet is
now?
Imagine if you're one of thesepeople that bought a piece of
toilet.
You're like yeah, yeah, I got agold toilet that I got off a
black market.
It was just a piece of it,though.
(20:15):
All right.
Well, enough of toilet talk, but that was crazy.
Thank you All right.
(21:19):
So to our last section of theday.
I wanted to do an anime sectionbecause we haven't done anime
for a long time and we haven'thad an anime section on the show
, and we've got a few minuteshere, I believe.
Yes, we got a few minutes here.
To wrap it up, I wanted to doan anime section because, number
(21:41):
one, we haven't talked about itand, number two, the anime
content has been absolute fire.
Okay, first of all, if you'venever watched anime in your life
and you're like what is this?
This kids cartoon nonsense, which a lot of people are,
they're like you know what Animeis?
Kids cartoon nonsense.
I don't think I'm going towatch it.
Well, first of all, you'rewrong.
(22:01):
Second of all, it's not all forkids.
It's quite unsafe for kidssometimes, and sometimes it's
purely safe for kids.
So here's the thing Anime isjust another genre of TV in my
mind.
So I call it, you know, justanother TV genre.
Because, just like you wouldwatch a streaming service like
Netflix or Hulu or I mean youname it there's all kinds of
(22:27):
streaming services.
Now it is a separate genre ofTV.
Just like you would watchsports, you would watch drama,
you'd watch romance, watch scifi, watch fantasy, whatever All
of that is available in theanime world as well.
So the anime is a genre of TVto all the way to not safe for
(22:52):
kids and more adult anime.
Just like you would have movieswhere you'd have kids, safe
movies and not safe movies.
So there you go.
So that's kind of a rundowndefinition of anime.
Also, if in case you werewondering, a lot of shows and
movies that we get today comefrom the plot lines of anime
(23:12):
writers.
Sorry if you didn't know thatand you feel betrayed by the
world.
That's how it is.
A lot of stuff came fromanimation writers.
Um, a lot of stuff.
I mean the plot lines, for alot of anime is genius and fun
and convincing and rewatchable, and that's where all these
(23:32):
writers they just get.
They just get inspiration fromother writers and just bounce
ideas off of each other andthat's how we end up with these
awesome shows.
So, that being said, a lot ofpeople in the anime community,
just like a lot of communities, are very toxic and the funny
part is you can tell kind of thefans that like the real anime
(23:52):
fans from the people that justwatch one show, and then you can
tell the people that fans thatlike the real anime fans from
the people that just watch oneshow, and then you can tell the
people that just hate on theshow just because it's popular.
So the funny part is when yougo to watch, when you go to
watch stuff like I don't read, Itry to avoid reading anything
online from any fan ever, because the problem is when you
get into a comment section fromanything online, you could have
(24:14):
the best day of your life andthere's going to be something
toxic in the comments.
So I always tell my my kid toavoid the comment section at all
times.
Like when you're going online, never look at the comment
section, because it's alwayssomeone being a troll or someone
you know there could be nicepeople in there, but there's
also a ton of people that justwant to ruin people's day and
(24:37):
that's their whole thing in life.
We don't know why.
They're just like that.
So it's funny because peoplewant to hate on great works of
art too.
So, like, just because an animeis popular, people want to
start hating on it.
And you know, they say theyhave good criticism when they
really don't.
(24:57):
They can't even back it upbecause they're just saying
anime stereotypes and at thatpoint they're just trying to
list off a bunch of things thatare similar to other shows so
they can justify their hate.
It's crazy.
And the reason why I say thatis because the number one
popular anime this year is sololeveling.
(25:19):
Sorry, it is.
It was worldwide, it was, ittook over, it was huge, and not
just because, I mean, there wasa lot of hype around it, but it
was just the whole anime as aplot.
I've looked at the manual, I'velooked at the novel.
I've looked at the manhwa.
I've looked at the novel.
I've looked at the manga.
I've looked at the manhwa, thenovel and the show itself.
(25:41):
I've seen the whole show.
I've seen seasons one and twoso far.
We're hoping that they're goingto do a season three.
Right now it's kind of up in theair because everybody's taking
a break to do other projects.
That's fine, but I don't reallythink it's fair that we have to
take another break from sololeveling when you've got things
like One Piece.
And that's the thing.
The One Piece fan base is sotoxic.
(26:03):
They like everything isinferior to One Piece.
But I tell you what One Piecedrives me crazy, because, yeah,
I have a controversial take onOne Piece, number one the main
character.
He loses all the time and theonly people that save his life
(26:26):
is his friends, which it's not abad thing to lose, guys,
there's a lot of learninglessons in losing.
But when you're looking at ananime main character, it's it's
kind of ridiculous.
Like the guy I mean, let's putit this way, we're at over 1500
episodes probably way more thanthat in one piece and the
(26:48):
character does like it shows himkind of getting stronger, but
he does the same thing everyfight.
And not only does he say itdoes the same thing every fight,
he announces it before he doesit.
He gets beat almost every timeand then not only that, but the
(27:08):
fight could take like 40episodes.
So these One Piece fans arehating on solo leveling because
they're all devoted to One Piece.
But One Piece is only superpopular because there's 1,600
episodes, solo leveling.
We've had two seasons, that'sit.
There's like how many seasonsof One Piece?
(27:31):
There's so many.
There's so many seasons of OnePiece, there's so many.
There's so many seasons of OnePiece.
But that's the only reason whypeople are like well, one Piece
is the best.
It's because there's like over1,500 episodes, and that's not
the case.
Like One Piece annoys me, itreally does.
It's a fun show.
Don't get me wrong.
I love watching One Piecebecause I love pirates.
So for all of you saying, oh,he's hating on One Piece because
(28:01):
he doesn't like One Piece, no,I love pirates, I can watch
pirate shows all day.
It's just that the charactersdrive me crazy sometimes and a
story like doesn't progress asmuch as you would think it would
and the characters don'tprogress very much.
So they do progress, but ittakes a long time.
So and that was my issue withthe first Naruto season to the
first Naruto season was reallyslow when we got to Shippuden.
(28:26):
I think that was everybody'sfavorite because the pacing
started to catch up and then westarted to see more mature
storylines and more thingshappening in the village and
things like that.
So, yeah, that's my take on it.
Feel free to to hate on that allyou want, but all you one piece
stands out there like I can'tstand you because you, you just
(28:47):
it's one piece is what it is.
It's a great show, but it'sit's got an MC character who's,
I'm sorry, dumb as heck and hedoesn't fight very well and he
gets beat all the time.
He should have been like beatenby now is the safe way of
putting it, but he's not.
Because of all these otherthings and mostly because of the
(29:10):
stereotype tropes that y'allone piece hater, the One Piece
stands say that every otheranime has.
So you know what?
I don't want to hear it, allright.
So that's my rant on that.
One Piece is a good show though.
So if you're looking for apirate show, that is fun, it is
a good show.
I'm not going to say it's not agood show.
I love a lot of anime.
So I'm not just gonna hate onanime.
(29:36):
I criticize, but I don't hate.
I'm not doing the work.
The work is amazing.
I'm never going to like say, oh, they didn't do any work, like
no, like every anime show thatis in depth and the animation.
Like you should see some of thebehind the scenes of these
animations.
They're just insane and theamount of work they put in is
fantastic.
(29:56):
For me, I love solo leveling, this second season and the first
season.
Some people didn't like thefirst season.
I love the first season.
It set our story up.
It was great, the conspiracyand mystery and the plot behind
solo leveling.
A lot of people don't get it yetthey think they get it but they
don't really get it.
So they keep saying it's astereotypical trope of other
(30:18):
anime when it's not so.
It's just how far we get intoit.
A lot of people are saying thatthe third season is where it
really picks up, which I'd haveto agree.
I don't even know all thespoilers yet, but I know it gets
really crazy in season three.
And as far as other animes, likethe mainstream animes, I still
(30:39):
love them all.
Guys, like I'm not going tohate on anime, I'm not hating on
anime, I'm just saying I stilllove them all.
They're just certain thingsabout certain animes that drive
you a little crazy, but they'rebearable, but they're bearable.
So, that being said, butthey're bearable, but they're
bearable.
So, that being said, we've hadso many anime go crazy in the
(31:00):
last year.
I don't know how you can justpick one.
To be honest, I don't know howpeople can say, well, one piece
is the best, or solo leveling isthe best, or bleach is the best
.
I love them all, even thecrappy anime, even the anime
that they don't spend any timeon and you see mistakes and
things like that.
It's so funny to watch and it's.
If it's an enjoyable storylineand it's just enjoyable to watch
(31:21):
, I don't have a problem with it.
So I don't know.
I think there's people that liketo love to hate on anime
because they want to criticizeevery little thing.
But then you got your peoplethat just love anime.
Period, we'll watch almosteverything under the sun and
just will enjoy it for the sakeof enjoying it.
Those people know joy in lifebecause they found something
(31:41):
that they're passionate about, whether it be movies, tv shows,
anime, whatever and they're justhaving fun.
They go to work, they gothrough a hard week, whatever
they got to do, they go home andthey watch anime and TV shows,
and those people aren't hurtinganybody.
So I don't, I don't see theproblem with it.
So I wanted to talk about 2025.
(32:03):
We are hitting spring becausewe just passed April Fool's Day
and it is April.
The April drops are here.
I wanted to talk about a fewanime that might be on your
radar, might not be on yourradar Fire Force.
Do I recommend it for kids?
No, fire Force is reallyintense.
It is a weird one.
(32:25):
It's definitely not yourtypical story.
It's definitely a weird one,but it is an extremely
captivating and intense animeand there's a lot of fighting
scenes, a lot of mystery, a lotof conspiracy around the whole
thing.
There's different organizations, there's all kinds of stuff.
Without spoiling it, there'sjust all kinds of craziness.
(32:47):
And this, this one mc, iswrapped around making friends,
going from not having anyfriends to having a bunch of
friends.
So it is a really good anime.
Do I recommend it for families?
Not really, because of howintense and crazy and violent
some of the scenes get.
But is it a great anime?
Yes, we have Fire Force Season3 coming back.
(33:10):
My Hero, which is more familyfriendly.
This one I'm not sure because Ihaven't seen this, but this
one's called my Hero Academia,vigilantes.
As you can guess if you haven'tseen my Hero, my Hero Academia
is based off superheroes andvillains and that's the whole
entire plot line.
And Vigilantes is for thoseheroes that never really found
(33:36):
like a legal hero license ordidn't have a legal hero license
or couldn't qualify or whatever.
They start doing hero work ontheir own.
Some people would call themvigilantes, some people would
call them mercenaries.
You know the whole deal.
So it's kind of that in-betweenthing.
So that's what that film isgoing to be about.
(33:56):
We have One Piece coming backand all the One Piece fans are
going to be going crazy.
I know I am almost caught upwith One Piece Still not my
favorite season.
It is crazy.
His new anim, his new power, iscool to a point, but the
(34:19):
animation is so loony tunes Ijust can't get on board with it.
Um, and I know that's how it'ssupposed to be from what I've
heard from manga readers andthings like I know that's what
it's supposed to be like.
It's supposed to be kind ofcomical and that kind of thing.
But it's like this guy takes solong to get stronger and then
he gets a new power and it's soLooney Tunes-esque.
(34:41):
And it's weird because I wantto say One Piece isn't one piece
in the anime, right?
So why is it like his newpowers?
Somebody correct me if I'mwrong.
But his new powers is kind oflike somebody else from another
nation, if you know where I'mgetting at.
(35:04):
Ok, and then there's thebeginning after the end.
This one was supposed to bemonumental, like solo leveling
was, but I've heard that it'sbeing done by the wrong studio.
So who knows if this will begood at all.
Some people are not holding outhope, but a lot of people are
(35:26):
the beginning after the end.
I haven't seen it, but I don'tthink I would recommend it for
kids.
One Piece is more mainstream,my Hero is more mainstream.
So those are more familyoriented than some of the other
shows.
The Apothecary, the Apothecary, apothecary Diaries, season 2 now
(35:48):
I haven't seen this, but I'veheard it's a phenomenal show.
It's all based on mystery.
Got to check it out sometime.
Yet not exactly family friendly, not family friendly at all,
but it's like one of thosemysteries.
Like how do I compare it?
(36:09):
It's just a good mystery andromance anime and I think a lot
of people really enjoy it.
I really would like to check itout.
All right, and then other thingscoming.
We have Windbreaker coming back.
Windbreaker is an interestingshow.
It's a backdrop oftroublemaking students that love
to fight.
But there's a twist thetroublemaking students are
(36:32):
respected by the communitybecause they protect their
community, and this anime isabout one main character and the
surrounding friends that hemakes, and then this whole
school and the way they protecttheir community and then how,
like these different plots uh,coincide with other communities
(36:55):
and problems with rival gangsand all this other kind of stuff
.
So it's an interesting,interesting anime.
We have a bunch of other stuffcoming out, but those are the
main ones coming out.
And then summer we have a bunchof more huge drops which I
can't talk.
That was a bunch of more, bunchof more cheap drops.
All right, but yeah, we have abunch of drops and uh, let's say
(37:18):
, the one anime that's not sopopular that I have thoroughly
liked so far is um is called theUnaware Atlier Meister.
So what's really cool about thisone is this guy is an
adventurer.
So typical kind of like kickedout of the hero party story,
where this guy is an adventurer.
He's kind of useless in thehero party.
(37:40):
The hero party disrespects him, kicks him out, treats him like
crap, and then he goes to applyfor work and they find out that
this kid is really good atbuilding things.
So his skills are like S tierand like building and in alchemy
and different things like that.
So so when he goes to do likethese, the extremely Monday
(38:05):
projects, he finishes them likenot only fast but with crazy
quality.
So he ends up gettingrecognized by nobles and people
that work under nobles and justall this other crazy stuff that
happens to him and it looks likea really fun.
So far it's wholesome, so itlooks decent.
(38:25):
So I'm definitely checking thatone out.
There's quite a few others.
If you want to see the wholelineup, go to Crunchyrollcom
anime season lineup.
There's also other websitesthat have different anime
websites, so there's anotherlist that has different anime
websites as well.
As far as like other anime, there's Hulu releasing some.
(38:48):
There's Netflix.
Far as like other anime, there's hulu releasing some.
There's netflix.
There's um high dive releasingsome and several other animes
coming out as well.
So keep on the lookout forthose.
There's highly anticipatedanimes coming out this april and
it's going to be a lot of fun.
Oh, and I think that was goodfor one day, so I'm going to get
off here and I will see y'allnext week and, uh, no-transcript
(43:16):
.
