As a black woman, Ray has often been eroticsized, fantasized, and ostracized when it comes to dating. As a result, Ray has had to confront many stereotypes and assumptions that are placed upon her simply because of the color of her skin. Ray has been objectified and devalued, as if she was not worthy of respect or a knowledge of her own worth.

It is difficult to navigate the dating pool when so many people have preconceived notions of who black women are based on our race. Ray cannot be expected to fit into a box of what people think she should be. Instead, Ray strives to be her own person, with her own values and beliefs. Ray will not let anyone define her worth or dictate what she should be doing.

Ray refuses to let her race to define her and her experience in this world. Ray takes pride in who she is, and she knows that she is not defined by what others think of her. Ray will stand up for herself and others who have been judged unfairly. Ray will not be silenced. Ray will not be silenced. Ray will keep striving to be the best version of herself, no matter the obstacles that she may face.
