Speaker 1 (00:04):
this is wisconsin sports on the go with trade,
your place for all things.
Wisconsin sports, now your hosttrade, how we doing everybody.
And welcome in to wisconsinsports the go with Trage.
I'm your host Trage.

(00:25):
It is the first time we'll behere on 5 o'clock.
On at 5 o'clock instead of the7 o'clock hour, if you guys have
heard the show before.
We usually shoot at 7.
But instead we're on at 5tonight here.
So a little bit of a bump up.
We had the radio.
They came to me over the weekend, well last week there, and

(00:45):
they're like, hey, idea, right, let's move this thing up to five
.
We've always been talking aboutways to improve, ways to expand
the show and we're like, hey, let's move it up to five o'clock
hour.
There, we'll move Bill, thehuddle will start at.
I think it's going to start atseven, so it'll be seven to nine
there, then the Luke FickleShow.
So five hours straight ofWisconsin sports talk.
What else could you want?

(01:06):
What else could you possiblywant, especially after the
weekend that we had there?
It was a good weekend there allthe way around.
I got a little sniffles off theweekend there.
My kid he was Thursday night hegot sick and the wife was like,
well, can you stay on Fridaywith him?
I was like, yeah, can you stayon my Friday with him?
I was like, yeah, I can stay onmy Friday with him.
Well, I think I took too manyhacks and sneezes to the face
because I got sick on Saturdaythen and then the wife got sick

(01:29):
on Sunday.
It was, I mean, it was one ofthose kind of weekends there,
but he was, I mean, the wholetime.
I was like I wish I could besick like you, because he's
jumping around, he's having thetime.
We're all feeling better, stillstill trying to work past it.
So if I sound a little like Idon't know if you call it

(01:49):
nasally or whatever, that'swhat's going on here.
So, anyways, anyways, enoughabout that.
I hope you guys are enjoyingyour Wednesday and your night
here.
But we got lots to BadgersBadgers.
Christian's going to bestopping by here.

(02:10):
I believe Christian's going tobe stopping by.
I would say next year on theshow we're going to have him
stop by.
We're going to talk a littleBadger football here, because
the Badgers, I believe, in myopinion, left a lot to be
desired coming off this lastweekend.
There was a lot left to bedesired.
Once again, I don't know.
I'm going to hear what he hasto say.
I'm going to hear whatChristian has to say Because,
christian, I'm in the camp ofLuke Fickles doing an okay job

(02:31):
and everything like that.
But yeah, we're going todiscuss Because I want to hear
what he has to say, Becausethere's a lot of fans right now
who don't feel like theprogram's heading in the right
direction.
There's a lot of fans who arelike, okay, we got to pump the
brakes, but then there's themiddle ground and that's where
I'm kind of at.
It's like what do I need to seeto feel good about this team
and about the direction of theprogram, because it still feels

(02:52):
like there's some struggle.
And I don't know if it's newcoordinator I got.
Hopefully christian can talk meinto it.
So we're going to get into alittle bit of badgers here.
I mean, the badgers got the win, that's what matters, but they
got a big test coming to obama,so we're going to talk about
that here.
Uh, probably next up here on theshow, we got a little packer
talk.
To get to, packers beat thelions over the weekend.

(03:13):
They're not just a beat, theydidn't just beat them.
That was a beat down.
That was a beat down.
And coming off this weekend andwe're going to talk about
Umber's going to stop by later,we're going to talk more Packers
, but coming off this weekendthe Packers to me show they are
the team to beat in the NFCNorth.

(03:33):
I firmly I don't want to.
I don't want to get crazy.
You know I don't want to getcrazy.
Talk right, I don't want to gettoo far ahead of ourselves here
, like some fans already callinga Super Bowl run, but I
honestly, watching that team andthen watching whatever that was
on Monday night there betweenthe Vikings and the Bears,
collapse once again.
I just can't.
I just can't.

(03:53):
Caleb Williams he might have allthe talent in the world but
that is just a downhill sloperight now for Caleb Williams.
Right now, three head coaches Imean it's just.
It doesn't seem like it'sgetting better.
It really doesn't.
And hope I, I don't hate BenJohnson, so hopefully, maybe at
some point he figures it outwith him, but right now, man,
man, oh man.

(04:14):
So the bears got a lot tofigure out.
I think the Vikings, vikings one, but I think the Vikings are
still there.
I don't know their middle ofthe pack.
I don't think they upgradedthat quarterback.
I don't know what the you.
I would have ran it back withSam Darnold.
I'll be honest with you.
I don't know if he would havehad the same hit as what he did
last year, but I had to write itback.
That's all my opinion on thatone.
So we're going to talk we got,we're going to talk NFL with

(04:40):
Kyle that Packers-Lions game.
I think the Packers showed theyare the top team in the NFC
North.
I really do.
That is my biggest takeaway, and maybe we'll call it an
overreaction Wednesday here orsomething, but that is
definitely what I took away aswell, watching that team.
That's a darn good team andthey are going to go as far as
Jordan Love can take thembecause, all in all, all

(05:00):
together, there's a new juice inthat locker room.
There's a new life.
The way Matt LaFleur and Halfleyout-coached Dan Campbell it's
been a while since theyout-coached Dan Campbell and Dan
Campbell just at a loss forwords.
This team, the Lions for beingthis big, old, tough, nitty
group.
They just seem like they gotmanhandled in the trenches.
It just looked like a differentPackers team.
It felt different from what weeven saw last season to start

(05:23):
the year.
So, like I said, we're notgoing to get crazy with it.
We don't want to call SuperBowl run, but this Packers team
right now pretty darn good andwe're going to find out more
about this team tomorrow asthey're going to be taking on
the Commanders there on Thursdaynight football.
They're a quick turnaround, gotsome injuries to worry about,
but this team right now lovewhat we're seeing.
We're going to talk about itlater on here in the show, so

(05:44):
make sure you're sticking aroundfor that.
We got some Brewers talk to getto here Tonight on the show.
The Brewers the magic numbercontinues to drop as they won
that series over the weekendthere against the Pirates.
I tell you what over thatweekend it didn't just make it
great that the Packers won, itdidn't just make it great that
the Badgers won even though I'mtelling you that there's still

(06:06):
some worry with this Badger team, even though there was the
worry with the Badgers.
But they still won right andthe Packers won.
The greatest part was that theCubs lost two games to the
Nationals.
That made my weekend.
Nationals fans, if you're outthere, if you're listening,
nationals fans, thank you.
Thank you, nationals, fortaking care of the Cubs.
That was awesome Because I sawthe Brewers winning and I'd

(06:29):
check the scoreboard and I'mlike no way, no way.
Nationals got the lead and I'mlike, just hang on to the lead.
I'm looking at it and I'm likehow are they going to hang on to
the lead?
I don't even know half of theseguys on, they just took it to
them.
That's a decent team out therein the Washington Nationals and
they got a special place in ourheart now that they took care of
the Cubbies there over theweekend because pushed the
Brewers' lead out a little bitthere and that NL Central

(06:52):
dropped the magic number.
The magic number continues togo down for this team.
Brewers made some moves and theymade the right move.
They made the right move.
Everybody was like what arethey going to do?
How are they going to haveHoskins come back?
And I said it was easy.
I even posted it over there.
I dropped it out on Facebook.

(07:13):
There was a post, I think itwas, by the Brewer Fanatic and
they're like Jake Bowers ismaking it hard for the Brewers
to make a decision on what to dowhen Reese Hoskins comes back.
And I'm like this isn't hard,this isn't rocket science.
Hoskins boom back on the bench.
Jake Bowers boom back on thebench.
You want him to be maybe anoutfielder one day?

(07:34):
Whatever, throw him out there.
You want him to be a DH?
Sure, you want him to playfirst base.
He can do it with the best ofthem.
He's pretty darn.
Nick Bauer is pretty good firstbase.
Andrew Vaughn as much as Idon't want to see him at third
base has been taking groundballs over there.
Isaac Collins can actually playthe infield and we saw Sal.
I don't know whatever happenedto the pipe dream of Sal Frelick
playing third base.
I don't know if it's actually agood idea or not.

(07:55):
I don't know.
We haven't really seen itfull-fledged yet, but we know
Sal's got that in his backpocket somewhere.
You have Andrew Monasterio onthe bench.
I mean you have options.
Bryce Teran can slide over, durbin can slide around.
You have versatility of players.
Anthony Siegler was not.

(08:15):
Anthony Siegler was a waste ofa roster spot at the moment.
I really like Anthony Siegler.
Okay, he makes good decisions atthe plate.
There you go.
That's what people will say.

(08:36):
He makes good decisions at theplate, but he was never going to
.
He hasn't really.
He hasn't done anything in awhile.
He hasn't had success.
And when you haven't hadsuccess for a stretch, what are
you going to do?
I mean honestly, you can't justkeep that guy in the lineup.

(08:57):
You can't just keep trying toplug him in there and hoping His
defense wasn't even good.
So it's not even like and I hatetaking shots at the guy, but
his defense was struggling.
He had a few errors over theretoo over the last couple weeks,
some big ones.
I think they were in thatGiants series.
He had a few errors over theretoo over the last couple of
weeks, some big ones.
I think they were in that giantseries.
He had some big errors at thirdbase.
He wasn't an upgrade.

(09:19):
He wasn't an improvement at thetime, the dream or what we saw,
and if it was going to getbetter, maybe eventually he had
a hot stretch, but it justwasn't there.
So when the Brewers I, when Isaid it I said it's simple.
I thought it was simple.
You have andrew monasterio.

(09:40):
He can float around, but I I,there was no way.
There was no way.
Okay, who were you going to letgo?
Jake bowers was hotter than apistol coming up.
And then you had Andrew Vaughn, who continues to be.
He was your offense for thelongest time and now he's
starting to hit again.
And Reese Hoskins that is adangerous bench bat in the

(10:04):
postseason.
You talk about lack of power andthe Brewers not getting power
at the deadline, adding a guyback into your roster like Reese
Hoskins Simple, simple.
And yet people wanted to makethis seem like it was so
difficult to do.
So difficult.
I get now you're down aposition player who can spread

(10:27):
it out right, play third, playshort, whatever.
Siegler was not that guy.
I really don't.
Siegler was not that guy.
I really don't.
Siegler was not a guy late inthe game where I'm throwing him
out there.
He's not a Blake Perkinsdefensively.
He's not even a Caleb Durbin ora Jackson Churio defensively.
He had some decent plays, buthe also had some blunders.

(10:49):
He did not have a trustworthyglove, in my opinion.
So the brewers made the rightmove by sending him down.
Also sending down carlosrodriguez, because I am so sick
of carlos rodriguez gettingcalled up because it just it
hasn't been there.
It really hasn't, hasn't beenthere for him.

(11:11):
At the big league level he'slike a.
He's been a oh, we're gettingour butt kicked so we're going
to throw him out there kind ofguy for this team it's not.
I haven't.
You have other guys who canfill that kind of role.
A Chad Patrick, you can keep upand just fill that kind of role

(11:32):
.
You have guys, don't?
I mean robert gasser, eventually here he can come up
and fill that kind of role.
You have guys who can fill thatkind of role.
I, carlos rodriguez, did notfill that role, so I thought the
chad patrick move was a goodmove to also moving and giving
freddie peralta an extra day.
I like that move all the wayaround.
So the the Brewers made theright moves in my opinion, 100%

(11:54):
the right moves all the wayaround, and I'm not here
complaining about it.
If you guys have a differentopinion on that one, definitely
let me know.
If you guys want to hit up theshow at any point tonight here,
make sure you're doing it.
715-990-4914.
That is 715-990-4914.
I love to hear you guys'opinion on the Brewers, the
moves that they made today.
Packers, badgers, anything inbetween Make sure you're

(12:16):
shooting them in.
I'd love to talk about it herewith you tonight here on the
show.
So the Brewers make some moves.
Packers big win over theweekend against the Lions there.
We're going to talk about thattoday here on the show.
We're going to talk to himabout some NFL, a little bit of
college football there.
We have a whole boatload ofthings to get into tonight here
on the show.

(12:36):
So we are just getting rollinghere tonight.
We'll be back here after thisquick commercial break.
Christian's going to stop by.
We're going to talk a littleBadger football on the backside
of the ad break.
We'll be right back here onWisconsin Sports on the go Trage

end of the first hour, goinginto the top of the hour, we
love to do the Fan Zone broughtto you by Marshfield Motor
Speedway.
So questions, opinions from thefans, that will share it on the

If it's just an opinion, I'lljust share the opinion.
So if you want to be involvedin this, message me on any

(13:42):

Otherwise, message me at715-990-4914.
That is 715-990-4914.
You can let me know yourquestion and it can be sent here
into the fan zone.
So this one comes out of the715.
It is, what was the point ofsigning Luis Urias, I mean and

(14:02):
this one looks like mostlyBrewer questions here.
So Urias, basically just adeath piece, that's all it was.
It was an experienced deathpiece.
They've seen this guy before.
So signing him up, getting himdown to triple a, working with
them a little bit, maybe if youneed them at some point here, I
thought honestly urias would bean upgrade over anthony siegler.
So I'm surprised they didn'ttry to make that move earlier.
But now that reese hoskins isback, I don't expect that move

(14:24):
to be made anytime soon, unlessif they need a bat or somebody
gets hurt, so that'd be my there.
Uh, who are the brewers?
Keep at the end of the season, reese or Vaughn?
Them both.
I think they keep them both.
I really do.
I mean having the power ofReese Hoskins, andrew Vaughn and
Jake Bowers all in the all onthe roster, all in the uh in

(14:47):
your disposable or disposal, Ithink that's a huge bonus.
So I'm keeping them both.
I think they do keep them boththere.
We saw Jake Bowers power lastnight, so you don't lose him.
I don't think they try to getrid of Reese Hoskins cause they
owe him a lot of money yet, so Ithink he stays.
Plus, he's a veteran bat who'sbeen to the post season, so I
don't know if you get rid of aguy like Reese Hoskins.
There is stronger middle reliefpitching needed.

(15:10):
I talked about that earlierwith Carlos Rodriguez.
Good to see him.
I thought it was good to seehim go back down.
Grant Anderson, though back.
I love Grant Anderson.
Has been solid for this Brewersteam all season long.
So getting him back off theaisle was huge.
And then you have Aaron Ashby.
He's been good, I think youknow Robert Gasser coming up
would be solid.
There is another question thatsomebody had that is going to

(15:32):
answer this one, but a JacobMizorowski potentially in the
bullpen, so kind of keeping aneye on that one there.
Also.
This last part to his questionwas is Bowers slowly getting
pushed out?
I don't think Bowers will,because I think I love I think
Pat Murphy loves bringing himoff the bench there.
So this one also comes out in715, and this is one of those I

(15:58):
was just talking about therewith the mizorowski.
Who do you think mizorowski'srole?
What do you think mizorowski'srole is in the postseason for
the brewers?
I'd almost like to see him inthe bullpen, where you could get
three to four appearances outof them.
I agree.
I agree.
The other night he had his bestouting in a very long time, as
long as, or the other day he hadhis best outing in a very long
time, as long as, or the otherday he had his best outing in a
very long time, his longestouting in a very long time.
It was great, but it's very hitor miss.

(16:21):
And can you see thatconsistently we haven't jacob
mizerowski.
You move into the bullpen, youput him in that long relief role
or maybe you have him be uh,you know a start, you know
opener, and then you go to aRobert Gasser or maybe even a
Quintana after Mizorowski I'm inwith that.
Or you go Quintana toMizorowski.
You go from like you know what,70 miles per hour up to 102,

(16:42):
like just to change in speed.
There would be a big thing.
But I'm definitely consideringJacob Mizorowski for the bullpen
and I'm kind of leaning towardshim being a bullpen role in the
postseason.
I don't see him as a starter.
I think you have Woodruff, Ithink you have Freddie, I think
you have Priester I don't thinkthere's any other way to put it
and then in your fourth spot, ifyou have a fourth spot, you

(17:03):
never need a fifth spot.
Sometimes you don't even need afour.
But if you needed a fourQuintana, then maybe you go to
mizorowski after him.
But that's where I'm kind of at.
Without plus you're gonna havelogan henderson coming back.
They're talking an octoberreturn for logan henderson, end
of september, maybe october,maybe right.
So it could be potentiallysomething to keep an eye on
there with that kind of move.
But robert gasser is definitelya guy that I'm looking at right

(17:25):
now.
Uh, last question that we had orwell, not last question here,
so I got a couple more here butthis question was did Micah play
more or less than expected?
What was the expectation?
I thought he played actuallyabout what I expected.
He played like 45 snaps.
I thought maybe he'd be about50%.
So he played about 50% of thesnaps.
I thought that was about aboutexpected out of Micah Parsons in

(17:48):
week one.
There.
I know that he wanted to rampit up, but I know the packers
will probably ramp him up goinginto uh week two, maybe give him
a little bit, a little bit more.
I don't know if it's going tobe crazy, but I know they're
probably going to deploy him alittle bit more out there, uh in
this upcoming game here.
So we could see could see alittle bit more out of michael
parsons in week two.

(18:09):
So was it?
What was the expectation?
I think that was about theexpectation for him there.
Uh, thoughts on if the Badgersplay against Bama like they did
in the second half.
If they play against Bama likethey did in the second half
against Middle Tennessee.
I think it looks like more of agame.
Um, it's.
It's still the differencebetween Middle Tennessee and

(18:31):
Bama.
I liked what I saw, the playcalling and everything like that
.
But, like Christian and I justtalked about here early on in
the show there, the offensiveline for the Badgers, that's my
biggest question mark and it'sgoing to continue to be my
biggest question mark.
So if they're healthy upfrontthere, does that change it?
Yes, but how much does itchange it as question mark?
Even when they're healthy, thatoffensive line is still a big
question mark.

(18:51):
So that's kind of where I'mwatching.
In this one they got to get therun game going against Bama to
have any kind of success.
And I'm talking Dupree and I'mtalking Dillian Jones.
They got to get those two going.
You can't just rely on DannyO'Neal and his arm.
In this one you got to be ableto rely on a little bit of help
there from some of your runningbacks.
And it's not I, a lot of fanslike we talked about in the
first, second, first couplesegments, a lot of fans pointing

(19:13):
towards the running backs,blaming them.
I'm not blaming the runningbacks, I'm looking at the
offensive line.
The offensive line was bad.
So another question, or not anot another question.
But they said how about thatloyal greenwood football team?
Right now, loyal green footballteam has been fantastic three
and oh, start for them there.
I believe they kicked the, kicked the snot out of uh, uh
Nealsville there and then theygot a big win against marathon.

(19:35):
It was a big win, a goodmarathon team 26 to 20, got the
win there.
They're going to have sometough games coming up, I believe
I don't know when they playStratford.
I know they got Stratford atsome point.
Next up they have colby, thenthey're gonna have amherst, then
wittenberg, spencer, columbus, who just played a good game
against stratford, and thenwayawaga, fremont, and then they

(19:55):
play stratford in the year.
So there you go.
There is their finishing of thecwc large division there.
But they got a good start here.
They won 24 to 12 againstabbotsford and then won 50 to
nothing against neilsville andthen beat uh marathon 26 to 20.
So we'll see what happens there.
I mean pretty good loyalGreenwood team to start here.
We'll see if that continueshere.
And then the last question.

(20:16):
Excuse me, there I told youguys I had a cold.
My voice is starting to go onme already an hour.
Number one my mom.
This is there you go.
My mom texted in this show shesays happy birthday to me, so
thank you to her.
And then she said what awesomething will you be grilling up
using Kassim Spice for theBadger game?
I talked about it a little bitearlier.
I'm thinking about a brisket.
I'm thinking about a brisket.

(20:37):
I think I'm going to try out alittle brisket there, maybe for
this one.
Yeah, brisket.
I just had ribs last weekend, but you can't go around with
some ribs, so we'll see whathappens there.
A brisket and then.
So Packers play tomorrow.
So that's going to beinteresting.
I'm going to have to getsomething, get up there fast and
then it's going to beinteresting.

(20:57):
It's going to be interestingwhat I'm going to do for Packers
and then what I'm going to dofor the Badgers coming up here
on Saturday.
So there you go.
There's a couple of thequestions that we had coming off
of the weekend there.
So if you want to be involvedin the Marshfield Marshfield
Motor Speedway fan zone, makesure you're doing it.
Send your questions or opinionsto me 715-990-4914.

(21:18):
That's 715-990-4914 here.
So we're going to be back afterthe ad break here we're going
to come back top of the hour.
We're going to talk to Kyleabout the NFL a little bit.
What we saw stock up we sawStack Up, stack Down after this
last weekend.
Here we have some talk Packertalk, with Omer coming up.
We got some Brewer talk to wrapthe show here later on we got a
whole boatload of stuff to getto in hour number two.
So we'll be right back hereafter this quick commercial

(21:38):

Welcome back into WisconsinSports on the go with Trage.
I'm your host, trage.
As we come back here for hournumber two of the show here
tonight, I hope you guys areenjoying your Wednesday tonight
here.
Kyle is stopping by here.
We got lots to talk about.
We got lots to talk about withthe NFL and before we get there
we got to mention a greatsponsor of the show and that is

(22:00):
Badger Tree Care, the local treecare business serving Clark and
surrounding counties.
They do it all Tree removal, tree primming and pruning, full
cleanup, small lot clearing andstorm cleanup.
They do it all.
Trevor Barth there, call them715-937-3276.
That is 715-937-3276.
Check out the Facebook page.
I just shared some work thatthey just did on a local tree I

(22:23):
mean, I don't know a local tree,but anyway somebody's tree in
their backyard there, and theydid an awesome job.
You couldn't even tell thatthey were there and took care of
business.
That was awesome.
So, kyle, how we doing.
It's wednesday.
We're back.
We're in the six o'clock hournow, instead of being in the
normal eight o'clock hour.
Now you're in the six o'clock.
Kyle, how we doing hey, I'mgood.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
You know it's week two.
It already feels like theseason's going by too fast, but
it was a fun week to geteverything kicked off, so I'm
definitely loving it, andautumn's in the air, so it's all
good for me.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
It was awesome.
It was an awesome weekend.
I mean NFL.
You had college football, youhad baseball, everything was
happening.
It was just awesome.
It was just awesome.
I just want to get out ofArlington, though, kyle.
We're talking like, as you guysknow, we're prerecorded, we're
watching this Brewer game.
I'm just like I just want toget out of Texas.
I just hate this team right now.
They're just driving meabsolutely nuts.
So, kyle, as you guys know, every single week and if you

(23:25):
guys have kept tabs on the show, you know that we minute in
honor of my grandpa and becausehe loved trivia and he loved
mellow yellow, so we call it themellow yellow minute.
So kyle is always thecontestant and if you guys are
out there and you guys want tojoin in, make sure you're doing
it.
715-990-4914, that is715-990-4914, but we always pick

(23:45):
a random trivia, like everyweek, we just do a random trivia
like top five, this, top five, that, and it's usually sometimes
sports related, but most of thetime we just do a random trivia
like top five, this, top five, that, and it's usually sometimes
sports related, but most of thetime we just think of random
things to do.
So this week, with autumn inthe air right, we decided let's
do top soups because it'sgetting chilly.
I'd had the cold over theweekend.

(24:06):
I had a cold, so I was eatingsome soup.
So, Kyle, we're going to do topfive soups.
I'm going to name them off andyou got to give me the top five
soups back in order.
So we have the classic chickennoodle, we have tomato, we have
French onion, we have broccoliand we have this one's gross

(24:26):
clam chowder.
So, kyle, we got our top fivesoups here, do you got?
Let's go start number five.
What is your number five soupon the list?

Speaker 2 (24:39):
okay, so let me see tomato, chicken noodle, clam
chowder, french onion, broccolicheddar.
Okay so, five I will go with.
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
French onion, five you went french onion at five
kyle.
Come on now.
French onion deserves a littlemore respect than that okay,
okay, uh, I'll be out of thefive.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
That's probably the one I eat the least, but you're
not even gonna throw the yuckone on there, kyle, come on well
, I'm from boston, so clamchowder is a big deal for me,
but I mean, I guess I'll putclam chowder five clam chowder
is number five and it should benumber five on everybody's list.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
Clam chowder socks kyle.
I'm sorry.
Anybody out there loves clamchowder respect, respect me, I
am not doing that, that's justcrazy talk right there.
So we got.
Clam chowder comes in at numberfive.
What do we have?
Number four on the list, guyfour, I'm gonna go.
I'm gonna go french onion fourfrench onion is number four, so

(25:41):
we're down to broccoli, cheddar, tomato and chicken noodle.
What is your number three?

Speaker 2 (25:48):
three.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
I'm gonna go broccoli cheddar broccoli cheddar is not
number three, okay I respectthat.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Then I'll go tomato tomato is number three.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
So you are between broccoli cheddar and chicken
noodle for number one soup andnumber two soup, kyle.
Two, I will go broccoli cheddar.
Broccoli cheddar is number two,so chicken noodle takes the top
.
There we go.
That one made sense.
I don't know if you go more.
Midwest clam chowder is like.
Two, I will go broccoli cheddar.
Broccoli cheddar is number two,so chicken noodle takes the top
.
There we go.
That one made sense.
I don't know If you go more.
Midwest clam chowder is like eh, probably not rolling off the

(26:22):
tongue there getting a clamchowder soup.
So, yeah, that's yeah, there'sour list Top five soups.
So if you guys I mean, hopefully you guys enjoy that.
We just love doing something alittle different halfway through
the show.
Because why not?
Because, absolutely, why not?
Plus, it's my birthday, so Ican do whatever I want.
You know what I mean it's mybirthday, I can do whatever I
want, right?
So that's all that mattersthere.
So, kyle, let's flip to the NFLhere.
Let's get serious, right, wegot to get serious.
Let's get serious now.

(26:43):
Yes, nfl talk and noticethroughout the show.
We don't get serious, what?
Okay, let's just go with this.
Stack up, stack down.
We're gonna do a little segmenthere stack up, stack down.
Whose stack is up after weekone?
Which teams?
If you looked at them right now?
You ran down a quick list forme.
You don't you know, give mecrazy reason like you made a
couple reasons, right, but whosestack is up and whose stack is

(27:05):
down right now?
Let's do stack up stock up.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
I'm going to chargers .
I thought Thursday night I'msorry Friday because they played
in Brazil against the Chiefs.
I thought that was a big stepfor them in the right direction
where they went up against theteam in their division.
That's been a pain in theirside.

(27:28):
They're coming into this yearwith a lot of people thinking
that they could be the team tounseat the Chiefs Opening night.
They look explosive offensively.
I like what I saw from Herbert.
He was very comfortable in thepocket.
We saw him take off a few times.
He's not the most mobile guybecause he's a bigger

(27:51):
quarterback but he was smart inhis decisions of when he escaped
the pocket.
Quentin Johnson was makingcatches.
Last year he had issues withdrops and if he can produce
between him, mcconkie and KeenanAllen bringing him back, which
I thought was a big move forthem.
That wide receiver group isgoing to give a lot of defensive

(28:14):
coordinators headaches Now.
Alt was hurt on the off.
I mean sorry, slater was hurton the offensive line so people
were wondering about how goodthe line was going to hold up.
They held up well against theChiefs team that defensively
plays pretty well.
So I definitely have them stockup and I'm definitely seeing

(28:35):
them as potentially, after oneweek, the best team in that
division right now.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
I like that.
I like that Stack up therehaving the Chargers in that spot
.
What did you think?
Let's just go with the crazyone here.
What did you think of theSteelers after this weekend here
against the Jets?
I mean, just I don't know, didyou really expect what you saw
out of the Steelers?
I mean, what did you think ofthe Steelers Because that's the
big talking point I guess of theweekend there with Steelers

(29:01):
versus Jets.
I guess of the weekend therewith Steelers versus Jets.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
I guess with the Steelers it's maybe the Tomlin
effect.
They're probably going to bepart of the wildcard
conversation.
You know whether or not theyget a spot we'll see later in
the year.
But you know, offensivelyRogers probably gives them a
little bit more than russ andfields gave them last year.

(29:26):
They still need to figure outthe running game because at
aaron rogers age you don't wanthim to be like the catalyst, the
sole catalyst on offense andmeet some balance with him.
I was a bit surprised by theirdefense and how much they gave
up to the jets because I waslike surprised and how good
justin fields looked againstthem.

(29:46):
But you know, good win for them, good way for them to start
their season and for rogers youknow he said this is his last
year off to a good start lookgood.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
I mean he looks solid .
In game one did he look likecrazy good?
Now I mean, you don't go crazygood, but he looks solid and
that's all that matters at theend of the day if you're a
steelers fan, because a lot ofpeople out there are writing him
off and saying this is gonna bemike tomlin's first losing
season.
So yeah, this is a lot ofpressure on this one for mike
tomlin and rogers himself to seewhat they can do together there

(30:19):
.
So let's go stock down.
Which team had a little bit ofstruggle for you this last week?

Speaker 2 (30:28):
Stock down.
I guess I'll go with Miami onlybecause of the way that they
looked against an opponent thatnot a lot of people are giving
any credit to.
In the Colts, the Dolphins lookdisinterested.
We're seeing like infighting, with Tyreek Hill getting
frustrated.
You know Tua looked rough.

(30:50):
Mike McDaniel, this is a bigyear for him and for that to be
the way that they come out hehas to know he's in the
crosshairs with thatorganization because he hasn't
really lived up to the offensivegenius moniker that he had when
they hired him and that offenselooked terrible.
So they're a team that if theystart off slow it could get

(31:14):
really ugly down in miami withjust the frustrations we saw
this past weekend.
So they're definitely stockeddown for me didn't danny dime
just look fun though?

Speaker 1 (31:23):
didn't that just look fun?
And now you're like questioningdable and you're questioning
that entire giants organization.
If they were the problem or ifjones was the problem.
That just, I mean that justmade some fun controversy over
this last weekend there.
So I mean, all in all, so wegot stock up, stock down.
Yeah, that that dolphins team isreally I don't even.

(31:44):
Oh man, that's just that's ugly.
They got him.
Mike McDaniel's got to go away.
I just I am convinced that hecannot be the head coach of that
football team and if they wanthim to be, it's going to
continue to be like this becauseit hasn't gotten better Since
they went to the playoffs onetime.
It hasn't gotten better.
So what do you want, like, whatmore do you want out of this?
So let's talk about, I mean, grand scheme of things.

(32:05):
Was there a game this lastweekend, or games that stood out
to you more over the rest?
Was there a tone-setting gameor one that you didn't really
expect to go that way?
Like, tell me about the gamesthis weekend here, some big
surprises to you.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
I feel like a statement game, bills and the
way that they came back againstthe Ravens down two scores five
minutes left and Josh Allen wentinto MVP mode and willed that
team back to victory.
The defense did get the keyfumble with Derek Henry, but you
know Josh Allen was wasthrowing darts, throwing dimes

(32:41):
Like he was doing it all, andfor them to come back against a
good Baltimore Ravens team thatlooked dominant most of the
night, I feel like that was JoshAllen's statement game.
I feel like another team thatprobably stood out.
I will say the way that thePackers went after the Lions
like that definitely was astatement.

(33:04):
I'm one of those who believesthe Packers could be the best
team in the division.
After one week they are thebest team in that division
Offensively.
The wide receiver you knowGolden brings something to that
wide receiver group that I don'tknow we can necessarily measure
yet, but just as a dynamicgroup.

(33:24):
Jacobs didn't even runnecessarily well, but you know,
when you need him he's verycapable and to take down the
lines the way that they diddefinitely caught my eye.
Like those are two games thatreally stood out from this past
weekend.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
That's why we keep bringing Kyle back on Cause he
says things like that about thePackers.
So that's why we bring him backon every single.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
I'm a big Jordan Love fan, so yeah, he loves him.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Some Jay Love there I would agree.
I that spoke.
I don't know if it speaks morevolumes to what you know what
Josh Allen and the Bills are orwhat the Ravens.
Yeah, I mean to blow a leadlike that.
That's also alarming if you arethe Ravens and now you feel bad
for the Browns this weekbecause they're just going to
get completely dismantledbecause I use a Bravens Browns
face each other this week here,so that's going to be ugly by

(34:08):
the time that thing's done there.
But I mean just a interestingfirst week of games.
I would say in total there Imean the Cowboys, they held true
to the Eagles there a littlebit in that one we saw.
I mean close ones across.
I mean there's a lot of closegames across the board there.
Bengals in a close one, I meanthe biggest.
I guess what was the biggestblowout of the weekend would
probably be man.

(34:30):
The biggest blowout was theColts and Dolphins.
Yeah, like, if I would havetold you that you would have
probably said no, like, thereain't no way, there ain't no way
that's going to be a blowout.
But no, that was definitely theone game that was a blowout
there.
So, kyle, I mean any finalthoughts, any final?
You want to put a bow on thisweek two or week one right week
one?
Goodness, I'm already in weektwo.

(34:51):
Oh my gosh, it's because we gotpackers, commanders, coming up
tomorrow there, so I'm just likein week two already.
Put a bow on week one for me.
Before I get crazy and get toweek two, put a bow on it.
Any final thoughts on week oneof this nfl season?

Speaker 2 (35:05):
I mean, look, I think it was a very interesting week,
from beginning of the thursdaynight, that great game, all the
primetime games really were good, even with the way the week
ended with vikings and bears.
I thought that was great cinema, seeing the new look-look Bears
versus JJ McCarthy, who'sbasically a rookie, and he

(35:28):
looked bad for about threequarters but in winning time he
actually showed up.
So if you're a Vikings fan, youshould feel better about your
team and as the Bears, I feellike you can be a little
hesitant to necessarily beworried.
I think they'll be fine.
But yeah, it was just a greatweek all around.

(35:48):
A lot of close games besidesthe Miami Colts one, but a great
way to start the season.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Yep, no, 100%.
I would 100% agree with you Agreat way to start the season.
So, kyle, thank you, as always, for stopping by.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
Let the people know where to find you out there
across social media yeah, so ifyou just look up, chomping at
the bit facebook, youtube wouldprobably be the easiest, and
then you can find my othersocial links on those two
platforms and go from there.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Look me up.
He's got great stuff there.
Make sure you're checking himout.
He's right now we're nfl mode, but once the nba comes back he's
gonna be all about nba.
He's gonna be all in everything.
He gets to all over the place.
So make sure you're checkinghim out, chopping at the bit.
So, kyle, thank you.
As always, we'll be back hereafter this quick commercial
break.
We got ummer stopping by.
We got packers talk about a bigwin for the green bay packers
against the lions, so we'regonna talk about that on the

(36:37):
back side of the ad break.
We'll be right back here onwisconsin sports.
