Unknown (00:03):
I it's time to combine
a guilty little pleasure with a
new healthy habit. Kick up yourfeet and listen in this is
wisdom and chocolate.
Once you have come up with thethought or the idea, you are
actually already starting theclock. You've already started
developing an idea that iscoming to life with the energy,
(00:26):
the vibration that the verythought creates. And so when you
hold off and you go, Okay, I'mgonna start this on Monday. I'm
gonna start this next week, whenyou start doing things like
that, you're stifling yourselffrom the very moment everything
should begin. In other words, you're creating the energy. It's
(00:46):
already there. And you go, I'mgoing to shelve that until I'm
ready to start doing that, whichis basically a form of
procrastination. If you thinkthat you want to have a
healthier body, have a betterbody through exercise. If you
want to start working on yourspiritual life, if you want to
start recording podcasts, whatever the thing is, whatever
(01:09):
it is that you want to startdoing, if you go, I'm going to
start it tomorrow or the nextday. You're procrastinating
until it starts. Why not startas soon as you have the thought
act on them, right then andthere, whatever that means. Now,
I always advocate coming up withclarity from the get go,
understand what it is thatyou're thinking you want to do.
(01:32):
What's it going to take to getthere? How much time do you
need? Do you do do you need amentor? Do you need to hire
people to help you understandand get clarity from the get go.
Instead of going, I think I'mgoing to look into this next
Monday, and then taking seven days to
work yourself up to that. Youneed to think it through a
(01:53):
little bit. Is it worth yourtime to even approach on Monday?
And why not approach it nowmaybe give your friend a call.
Hey, I just thought of this.
What do you think of that?
Right? Have a conversation.
Maybe write down the idea. Writedown some bullet points. How can
I get this thing done? How muchenergy do I need to put into
(02:14):
this? Right? These are allthings that you can do from the
moment you come up with theidea. When we put everything on
the back burner, we're settingourselves up for mediocrity or
not getting success right. Youknow, I don't like the word
failure. I think that failure ismore of a judgment. And really,
(02:34):
if you're acting on something ornot acting on something, you're
putting yourself in a positionof learning or we're staying
where you're at, that'sbasically it. You don't need to
think failure. You didn'taccomplish it. Why? Because you
didn't do it. It's that simple.
And the more complicated we makeit, the worse we feel about
ourselves. And I believe thatthe better you feel about
(02:55):
yourself, even in the mostchallenging situations, you can
pick yourself up and moveforward in a stronger, bolder
way. So here you are. You've gotthis idea, it's come up, and
you're thinking, Okay, I'm goingfor it. I'm going to do this
thing. And you realize, wow, bets said, don't hold off to
think things through, right? Soyou pick up your phone or a
(03:18):
piece of paper, or whatever thething, and you start writing
down your bullet points. Makesure when you are in that stage,
when you're when you're writingdown those bullet points, you're
you're thinking forward, don'tallow yourself to think the way
you used to. Don't allowyourself to fall back into old
(03:39):
patterns. What happenedyesterday does not have any say
on what happens to you today.
You right now, in this moment, can choose how you're going to
move forward into this new thingthat you are starting. If you
make moves from where you're at,this excitement for this new
(04:01):
thing that you're going to try,you are more likely to succeed
if you start from where you havebeen, then you're more likely to
procrastinate, drag your feet alittle bit, even if you've been
successful in the past. You'vegot to make sure you're in the
right frame of mind in order tomove forward into this new task.
Now, in some of the speechesthat I give, I talk about this
(04:24):
line that is, is a line ofprogression where you have an
idea and you move forward andyou you get this thing done that
you've been really working on,and you feel super excited. You
have the opportunity at thatmoment to feel the plateau, to
stay in that moment of wow, Iaccomplished this, or to at that
(04:46):
moment think, what am I going toaccomplish next? What new,
exciting thing am I going to do?
Well, you don't want to stifleyourself. You don't want to stop
in the middle of what you.
Life can be progressing towardright? So when you hit that
plateau, immediately startthinking of the new thing. What
(05:08):
can I do next? What new andexciting thing can I do if you
are working all of your life tobe in the Olympics, and you're
in the Olympics and you winwhatever award you've been
trying to win, where are yougoing next? Sometimes our goals
are so big that we think thatthere's nothing beyond that. But
(05:28):
Olympics is one thing. Maybe youwant to become a chef. Next,
maybe you want to be the world'sbest dog trainer. Next, you can
take a totally differentdirection and make that goal as
intense as you made the firstgoal. Just make sure that when
you reach that plateau whereyou've gotten what you want,
that you're actually thinkingforward. So you know where you
(05:51):
can go next. Make sure thatyou're coming from where you are
at right now. Don't assesseverything based on where you've
been and the accomplishmentsyou've already had, have the
excitement, allow yourself theexhilaration of thinking of
something new. Allow yourself tothink from the place that you're
(06:13):
at, so that you can grow insteadof thinking, Well, I've done
this before, but I'll go aheadand try this again. I knew this
woman once who I tried toencourage her, to encourage her
son to get into a coupleprograms. And every time I would
try to encourage her, she wouldsay, well, he already knows
that. And as it turned out, bythe time we finally got him
(06:37):
involved in some of the thingsthat I was recommending, we
found out that he loved beingaround the people, and even
though he knew a lot of theinformation that was being
presented in these programs, hewas excited to be learning those
things with other people. He wasalso excited to learn things
beyond what he already knew.
Sometimes where you're at allowsyou to expand into other things.
(07:01):
In other words, you don't haveto reach, like, keep going
higher. You've got the plateau, and you keep reaching sometimes
where you're at at that plateau, you can go, wow, I can expand
what I've just experienced toget to areas I didn't even know
were possible. In other words, the goal that you had grows into
(07:22):
something even bigger. So Don't,don't stifle yourself by
thinking that because of yourage or your stature or or you
know, whatever the situation is,maybe it's the job that you have
that you've already reached thepinnacle and there's nothing
left to learn. That's not true.
(07:42):
We all have something to learn, each and every one of us. Now, I
do want to encourage you tothink beyond yourself, not just
in the sense that you're growingoutward, but how does your
success affect the people aroundyou? What is it that you're
doing in the goals that you'rereaching for that actually
(08:04):
serves other people? Rememberthat any job that you do can
serve other people, but ifyou're not acknowledging the
fact that you're doing that, you're really missing out,
really, if you're a baker, oryou're an assistant Baker, or
maybe just sweeping the floorsin the bakery, recognize that
all of those things are leadingup to the very things that
(08:26):
people are coming in topurchase. They're excited about
the breads that they'repurchasing. They're excited
about the cookies. Makes themfeel good, makes them feel like
they've they're sort ofrewarding themselves by buying
something from your shop. Thething that sets you apart is how
you are affecting others, andbeyond that, it's how you
understand you are affectingothers. You can be affecting
(08:49):
others, and it feels good, wow.
You know, had a good day at worktoday, but when you start
acknowledging Wow, that personreally had a lovely smile on
their face when they left, orperson walked in and they
started talking, talking to melike I'm their best friend. But
maybe they needed that. When youstart acknowledging those
things, you start realizing thatyou are living in service, and
(09:09):
when you feel really great aboutthese those things, you try even
harder to live in service. Infact, you might put yourself in
positions where service iseverything that you're focused
on. Maybe you've got yourregular job and you're
recognizing, wow, this feltreally good, and then you
volunteer your time somewhereelse and doing basically the
(09:31):
same thing, because you knowthat these people really need
it. See you can expand out inyour own experience. But while
you are doing that, you canaffect other people and that
right there that sets you apartfrom everyone else around you,
and if you can encourage thepeople around you to do the same
(09:54):
thing, like, hey, come with me.
I'm donating my time at thisplace. Today, I'm going to be
working.
Working with children. You'regoing to have a blast, or I'm
going to be helping to clothepeople who are going for their
first job interview. You'dreally love this. Come with me.
You know, if you're encouragingpeople to take part, then you're
reaching out even further thanyou were before, and that is
(10:17):
absolutely incredible. So Ithink that the thing we need to
talk about now is how all ofthis has to do with you on a
physical level. And we're alwaystalking about spiritual,
emotional, mental, we're alwaystalking about those things. But
let's talk about spiritual for alittle bit, and let's couple
that with physical, because wecan't really live in service to
(10:43):
others. We can't set ourselvesapart. We can't really work
toward goals unless we're takingcare of ourselves. And we really
need to make sure that we'reframing our thoughts about our
bodies and the way that we'reinteracting with people. We need
to frame that by understandingthat we're living in a temple.
(11:05):
This is what houses us,the the inside, the personality,
the emotions, the soul, all ofthat is housed within the
physical body. This is yourtemple. This is where everything
begins. This is where the sparkof a new idea comes into play.
This is where your clarity comesinto play. This is where your
(11:27):
drive is brought to life, andwhere you generate the energy
that allows you to move forward.
This is where Focus comes from.
It's all inside the temple, howyou react to the people around
you, how you support the peoplearound you. All of this happens
within the temple, and each oneof us has one and each one of us
(11:48):
is unique. The temple is unique.
How we operate within it isunique. So it's really, really
important that we take care ofthe temple, and how do we do
that? Well, yeah, okay, you cango on a diet. You can work out
all those boring things thatnobody wants to talk about, but
(12:12):
when you reframe it and when yourecognize Wow, working out the
temple helps me to have moreenergy, and it helps me to gain
more clarity. So I'm going to dothat because it not only feels
good, but it helps the templework better when you reframe it,
(12:33):
and it has nothing to do withtaking things away. Like I'm
going to go on a diet because Iweigh too much, right? When you
change that to I want moreenergy. I want more energy, so
I'm going to start cutting outsugar. I'm reading about that.
It is not good for you. Itlowers your brain function. It
slows you down. It createsinflammation, which causes
(12:54):
issues with with arthritis andthings of that sort. So why am I
even doing that? I want theenergy, so I'm going to take
care of the temple. And wow, what helps with taking care of
the temple? It's not eatinglettuce every single meal. It's
a balanced a balanced andwonderful diet full of healthy
(13:15):
foods. And a lot of the cheaperstores that are out there are
actually offering organic foodsand things now, so it's possible
for you to eat really healthy, even if you're on a budget, if
you're somebody who's glutenfree, just understand something
for many, many years, if youneeded to live gluten free,
there were no alternativeoptions unless you wanted to
(13:37):
grind your own flours. And mostpeople did not. And I was one of
those people who did not. So formany, many years, I just didn't
have bread, I didn't havecookies, I didn't have cakes.
These were not things that I atebecause I couldn't have gluten.
So know that you can live.
Because this was many years ago,and I'm still alive, you can
(14:00):
live without those things. Andif your body doesn't like
something, why are you giving itto it? If you want the energy
feed it something that gives itenergy, eat a pear instead of
eating a cupcake, right? If youlove salads, awesome. Make sure
you put a little protein in thatsalad. Maybe have an egg now and
(14:22):
then. Maybe make sure thatyou're eating a balanced
vegetable meal instead of just,oh, I'm gonna have some lettuce
and and some 1000 Islanddressing, right? Maybe what you
do is you have a baked sweetpotato. Maybe you cook a bunch
of vegetables, maybe in someavocado oil, maybe you steam
(14:47):
those vegetables and mix it upevery single day, because the
temple likes variety, and stopallowing the taste buds to
dictate whatever it is thatyou're eating.
Thing. Think of how it's goingto feed your body. Of course, if
it tastes nasty, don't have itright, but make sure that what
you're doing to to feed thetemple is feeding you on such a
(15:12):
lovely and deep level that yourability to think gets stronger,
your ability to love becauseyou're not cranky, gets
stronger. Your ability to thinkpositive thoughts about yourself
because you're making acommitment to yourself and
you're following through thatgets stronger too.
(15:33):
Take care of the temple. Don'tvandalize the temple. Don't
write graffiti all over theinside of the walls with your
negative thoughts, oh, mygoodness. Don't do that. Don't
vandalize it by eating stuffthat sticks to your arteries.
Don't vandalize it by eatingthings that creates arthritis
and breaks down your joints.
Make sure that you're caring forthat temple, that you're loving
(15:56):
it, that you're drinking a wholeheck of a lot of water, and you
stop drinking all of the softdrinks. Make sure that you're
doing what you need to do tofeel good. And make your choices
based on that, not based on Ineed to lose weight or I need to
cut this out of my diet. Makethe choices because you want to
have a better life. Make thechoices because you want clarity
(16:21):
of mind so you can make wiserand bolder choices throughout
all parts of your day.
Stop vandalizing the templeInstead, start caring for it so
that you can live in service toothers and to yourself, make
(16:42):
sure that everything you'redoing throughout the day is
based on where you're at rightnow, and remember that if you do
choose, okay, I'm just gonnahave this chip ahoy. I'm just
gonna do I'm gonna have the chipAhoy, and I'm gonna just deal
with it. Realize that what youtwo today. What you do today
(17:03):
affects you three days from now.
So if in 72 hours you need to beon your game because you've got
a big meeting coming up in 72hours, if you're out to do a
keynote speech or you're leadinga retreat, if in 72 hours you
need to have one of the biggestconversations you've ever had in
your relationship.
(17:25):
Don't eat the chip ahoy.
Keep yourself clear in mind whatyou do today will affect you for
up to three days after you doit. Get yourself out in nature,
walk around, get the steps inright. Give yourself some time
to connect to the people aroundyou in a loving and caring way.
(17:48):
Make wiser, stronger, healthierchoices and stop vandalizing not
only your temple, but your lifewhen you choose to get something
done, get it done, get it done, and make sure that there are
elements of service going oninside of that goal. And most of
(18:09):
all, make sure that whateveryour goals are, you're feeling
great about them, with that blessings to each and

the world. And with that inmind, I designed energy daily.
