The resurrection of Jesus Christ isn't just a historical event—it's the very foundation of our faith and hope. Through a powerful examination of 1 Corinthians 15:12-17, we confront the critical question Paul posed to the early church: what if Christ hasn't been raised?

Paul's logical reasoning is both simple and profound. Without the resurrection, our preaching would be meaningless, our faith would be futile, and most devastatingly, we would remain trapped in our sins. But the glorious truth is that Christ did rise! This reality changes everything about how we understand forgiveness and salvation.

Using a relatable analogy of an unexplained "Road Closed" sign that leaves drivers confused and uncertain, we explore how God doesn't leave us wondering about the resurrection's significance. While the angel at the tomb simply declared, "He is risen" without explanation, Scripture fills in the details about why this matters so personally for each of us. Because Jesus conquered death, our sins aren't just temporarily hidden—they're completely gone, wiped clean forever.

Take a moment today to let this transformative truth sink deep into your heart. Your sins are fully forgiven because Jesus lives! Join us as we celebrate this profound reality and discover how embracing the resurrection can bring fresh hope and purpose to your daily life. Subscribe to Wisdom for the Day for more daily spiritual insights that will strengthen your faith and guide you through life's challenges.

(00:25):
Today is day 108.
He is risen From 1 Corinthians,chapter 15, verses 12 through 17
from the New Living Translation.
But tell me this since wepreach that Christ rose from the
dead, why are some of yousaying there will be no
resurrection of the dead?
For if there is no resurrectionof the dead, then Christ has

(00:47):
not been raised either.
And if Christ has not beenraised, then all our preaching
is useless and your faith isuseless.
And we apostles would all belying about God.
For we've said that God raisedChrist from the grave.
But that can't be true.
If there's no resurrection ofthe dead, and if there's no

(01:09):
resurrection of the dead, thenChrist has not been raised.
And if Christ has not beenraised, then your faith is
useless and you are still guiltyof your sins.
Now, recently, our street wasunexpectedly blocked by a sign
that said Road Closed.
It gave no explanation.
Later we learned that it wasjust a sewer line repair and

(01:31):
would only last a day, butwithout any details.
It left us confused anduncertain.
The announcement at Jesus' tombwas kind of like that the angel
declared he has risen, butdidn't explain how or what
exactly that meant.
Thankfully, god's word doesn'tleave us there.
The apostle Paul clearlyexplains why Jesus' resurrection

(01:53):
matters so much to each of us.
In 1 Corinthians 15, paulpoints out that if Jesus didn't
rise from the dead, everythingwe believe would be worthless
and we would still be trapped inour sins.
But the amazing news is thatJesus truly did rise again.
Because of his resurrection, our sins aren't just hidden or

(02:18):
forgotten.
They're completely gone, wipedclean forever.
They're completely gone, wipedclean forever.
This is the good news Christ isrisen and your sins are fully
forgiven.
Let that truth sink in.
Today.
I want you to take a moment tocelebrate what this means for

(02:38):
you personally.
Your sins are gone becauseJesus lives.
Pray with me.
Risen Savior, thank you fortaking away my sins through your
resurrection, even if I can'tfully grasp how it happened.
Help me live each day trustingyour amazing grace, amen.
