Have you ever wondered what will happen to your body after death? Today we dive deep into one of Christianity's most profound and hope-filled promises: the resurrection of the body.

Paul's teaching in 1 Corinthians 15:35-44 offers extraordinary insight into what awaits believers. Using the metaphor of seeds that must die before transforming into plants, Paul helps us understand the dramatic difference between our current bodies and our future resurrection bodies. Just as a tiny seed bears little resemblance to the magnificent plant it becomes, our resurrection bodies will be recognizably "us" yet transformed beyond imagination.

The passage describes our future bodies as imperishable, glorious, powerful, and spiritual – yet still physical in nature. This isn't science fiction; it's biblical promise. Think of how Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection – eating, drinking, being touched – yet also transformed in mysterious ways. That's our preview of coming attractions! For anyone struggling with physical limitations, chronic illness, or simply the natural deterioration that comes with aging, this message offers profound comfort. Whatever physical challenges define your earthly experience now, they are temporary.

Take heart in knowing that God has designed an amazing future for your body. Listen daily for more biblical wisdom to refresh your spirit and strengthen your faith. Become a community member today to continue receiving these daily spiritual insights that will transform your perspective and deepen your relationship with God.

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Welcome to Wisdom for the Day, your daily source for
spiritual refreshment andguidance.
I'm Rick.
Join me as I dive into God'sWord to find clarity and
strength for life's challenges.
Let me help you embrace eachday with faith and wisdom, ready
to feel inspired.
Let's get started.
Let's get started.

(00:24):
Today is day 115, new Bodiesfrom 1 Corinthians, chapter 15,
verses 35 through 44, from theNew Living Translation.
But someone may ask how will thedead be raised?
What kind of bodies will theyhave?
What a foolish question.
When you put a seed into theground, it doesn't grow into a

(00:46):
plant unless it dies first.
And what you put in the groundis not the plant that will grow,
but only a bare seed of wheator whatever you're planting.
Then God gives it a new body hewants it to have.
A different plant grows fromeach kind of seed.
Similarly, there are alldifferent kinds of flesh One

(01:08):
kind for humans, another foranimals, another for birds and
another for fish.
There are also bodies in theheavens and bodies on the earth.
The glory of the heavenlybodies is different from the
glory of the earthly bodies.
The sun has one kind of glory, while the moon and stars each
have another kind, and even thestars differ from each other in

(01:30):
their glory.
It's the same with theresurrection of the dead.
Our earthly bodies are plantedin the ground when we die, but
they will be raised to liveforever.
Our bodies are buried inbrokenness, but they will be
raised in glory.
They are buried in weakness butthey will be raised in strength
.
They are buried as naturalhuman bodies, but they will be

(01:53):
raised as spiritual bodies, forjust as there are natural bodies
, there are also spiritualbodies.
Now, most of us would probablyadmit that there's something
about our bodies we'd love tofix.
Maybe it's an allergy, asickness, maybe it's something
we've struggled with our wholelives.

(02:14):
None of our bodies are perfect, but if you're like me, you
probably can't even imagine whathaving a perfect body would
truly look like.
As followers of Jesus, webelieve something incredible
there will be a resurrection ofall believers.
When Jesus returns, our bodies, imperfect and broken as they

(02:36):
are, will be raised andtransformed.
We don't know exactly how itwill happen, but we trust God's
promise that our resurrectedbodies will be perfect, whole
and suited for eternity.
Paul explains this beautifullywhen he describes our
resurrection bodies asimperishable, glorious, powerful
, new and spiritual, yet stillphysical.

(03:00):
Imagine that Somehow, our newbodies will have all the best
qualities of both worlds.
Think how the risen Jesusappeared to his disciples, even
sharing meals with them.
That gives us a glimpse of thewonderful future God has planned
for each of us.
Today, I want you to live withhope, taking care of our bodies

(03:23):
now, knowing that somethingtruly amazing waits us in Christ
.
Pray with me, lord Jesus.
Help me to honor you with mybody today as I look forward to
the amazing promise ofresurrection.
Life with you, amen.
Well, that's all for today, butI'll be back tomorrow with more

(03:59):
