(00:24):
Welcome back to Wisdom Rising.
This week we are sharing ourrecent webinar with you entitled
Sacred Sexuality and the Chakraswith guest in my beloved Jim
McDonald's.
In this episode, we're coveringwhat are the chakras, how the
chakras inform our sexualselves, how energy moves through
the chakras, and how chakraawareness supports tantric
(00:45):
practices.
Now, it's my belief that tantrais an amazing energy mover
modality and a very joyful wayto understand how to move energy
in your body.
And the chakras are the lens inwhich we can view that energy
movement.
Where does energy move freely?
(01:05):
Where does energy get stuck andstagnant?
This is all super supportive tothe tantric practices.
So I hope you stick around forthe full episode.
And if you enjoy this, pleasecheck out our five-week intro to
tantra masterclass startingNovember 5th, which is this
Wednesday.
Hope you enjoy this episode.
So welcome, welcome, welcome, everyone to our Sacred Sexuality
(01:29):
and the Chakras presentation.
I'm Christine Renee, and this isJim McDonald.
SPEAKER_01 (01:34):
Yes, I am.
SPEAKER_00 (01:37):
Um I am sure some of
you want to know a little bit
about who we are, what ourbackground is on these topics.
So I think we're just going totake a hot minute to share a
little bit about that, and thenwe'll dive into the
presentation.
SPEAKER_01 (01:50):
Yes.
So you have a background inchakras.
SPEAKER_00 (01:54):
I do.
SPEAKER_01 (01:54):
In fact, when I
first met you, it was at a
meditation you were leading onthe chakras.
SPEAKER_00 (02:00):
Yeah.
So I've been teaching chakrasfor a really long time.
SPEAKER_01 (02:04):
Yeah, that was 2019.
That was a long ago.
SPEAKER_00 (02:07):
That was a while
ago.
And basically what happened forme is I was really not in a
good, healthy place, physically, mentally, emotionally, all of
it.
And my route to healing andwholeness was through the lens
of the chakras.
So I started studying thechakras and doing Reiki for the
chakras and dressing for thechakras and kind of became a
(02:30):
little obsessed and um changedmy wardrobe and became really
colorful and really found a lotof support and finding peace and
alignment through what thechakras had to offer.
Really understanding myself camethrough the chakras.
And so it's been a lot ofself-study, but I even taught in
(02:52):
2021.
I think it was 2021.
I taught a chakra clairvoycoaching certification for a
seven-month program.
So I I've definitely I've beenin it, I've taught it for years
and years.
It's always been a part of myReiki classes, and I just really
enjoy it.
SPEAKER_01 (03:09):
Yeah.
So you want that's interesting.
So uh I could go on for a whileabout my path through the
chakras.
I will start just by saying I'ma licensed chakra dance
facilitator, which is a dancehealing modality that was
obviously you could say peoplehave been dancing the chakras
(03:30):
for thousands of years, butthere's a modality called chakra
dance that was developed inAustralia in 1998 by a woman
named Natalie Southgate.
And I in 2017 was trained to bea chakra dance facilitator, and
I I've offered classes here inthe Bozeman area, but I also
even co-facilitated with Nataliea seven-month deep dive course
(03:54):
way back in 2019-2020 whileeverything was happening.
So it was an interesting time tobe doing a deep dive in the
chakras.
I also am a uh Tantra teacher intraining, and that's a huge part
of Tantra.
So I was first introducedthrough my tantra work a long
time ago, and it just keptgrowing from there.
(04:17):
So exciting, excited to talkabout it because in tantra,
which we're going to be offeringa class, the chakras are present
and we're often moving energythrough the chakra system.
SPEAKER_00 (04:30):
Yeah, which is why I
love it so much.
So um, I think I have also had areally um a big interest in
sacred sexuality for a reallylong time, whether it was in my
midwifery days or whether it wasum I'd taught sex ed for middle
schoolers multiple years.
(04:50):
So um, yeah, it's just part ofpart of who I am.
So let's dive in because one ofthe reasons why this spurred an
interest is I posted in ourFacebook group, shamanic mystics
moon rising Facebook group, about where do you think
sexuality lives in the chakras?
And a lot of people haddiffering opinions.
And I was like, oh, we shouldjust totally just do a
(05:11):
presentation on this.
So here we are.
SPEAKER_01 (05:13):
So what are the
chakras?
Or do you say chakras?
SPEAKER_00 (05:16):
We'll talk about it.
And we'll get into how to let goof the dogma, how the chakras
inform our sexual selves, howdoes energy move through the
chakras, how chakra awarenesssupports tantric practices, and
then we'll have a QA at the end.
SPEAKER_01 (05:32):
So we have a lot of
ground to cover.
SPEAKER_00 (05:34):
We do, but overall,
um, we're gonna give you the
surface layer, the tip of theiceberg when it comes to the
chakras.
SPEAKER_01 (05:42):
Okay.
SPEAKER_00 (05:42):
Okay.
So the chakras are energycenters within the body, and
they're translated from Sanskritas a wheel.
SPEAKER_01 (05:50):
So what do you mean
when they're when you say
they're energy centers withinthe body?
SPEAKER_00 (05:54):
So they're actually
connected to this nervous system
plexi underneath each of the thecenters in the body.
There's actually a nervoussystem plexi.
So it's got an electromagneticfield, it's got um, and they're
also connected in with ouremotional range, like they're so
they're so complex in my mind, right?
(06:18):
So the energy centers, we haveseven primary.
So if someone asks you how manychakras are there, you're gonna
get a ton of different answers.
And that's okay.
Tonight we're gonna focus on theprimary seven, because most um
schools of thought focus onthese seven as well.
SPEAKER_01 (06:34):
Although you could
think of chakras as the as the
color continuum.
Like if you if you look at thecolors on your screen, they're
rainbow.
It's the rainbow, it's the Roy Gbiv rainbow.
And if you think about it, therecould be as many colors in
between as and any color inbetween could be considered uh
an energy center, a chakra.
(06:56):
Um, we're just we're just gonnapresent what we know.
Um, but part of what we'retrying to urge is is that you
may have your own experiencewith the chakras, and you may
come to your own understanding, and different schools will have
different understandings, and wearen't giving you the answer on
the chakras.
What we're actually inviting inis this idea of hey, there may
(07:20):
be these energy centers, and youmay have a different experience.
How might we do practices thatallow you to figure out what
that relationship is?
SPEAKER_00 (07:29):
Exactly.
Yeah.
And so you'll see them in therainbow, you'll see them with
white or gold at the top.
I mean, there's a lot ofdifferent ways that these are
presented.
And I would say personally, Ilike seeing it as a rainbow, but
I don't think that'snecessarily, you know, I don't
think there's a lot of factswith these.
We we're gonna go through thechakras from the root through
(07:52):
the crown and just give you alittle snapshot of each.
So we're gonna start at rootchakra, and so it's located at
the perineum.
So I like to think of it aspubic bone and down, meaning
everything is included frompubic bone and down, but where
is it specifically?
That's debatable, right?
SPEAKER_01 (08:13):
Well, yes, for sure.
So typically you could you couldput it there, pubic bone and
down.
Sometimes it's down, right?
Connected to the center of theearth.
The chakra goes all the way downto the center of the earth in
the way it's typically stated.
It does it include our genitals, does it not include our
genitals?
Is that more in the next chakrathat we're going to talk about?
(08:34):
Is it in this chakra?
That's not something we aregoing to define.
In fact, I've studied twodifferent schools.
I study sky dancing tantra thatincludes the genitals in the
root.
I study chakra dance, which putsthem in the Sigral chakra.
SPEAKER_00 (08:49):
And I think it's a
little bit of both.
Like I think that you can thinkof root chakra with its
foundation and safety of going, this might be your anus, this
might be your vulva, like theexterior, but not the internal
for women.
So I think there's a lot ofdifferent um debate on exactly
where our sexual organs lay whenit comes to the chakras.
(09:13):
And so I think that's you cankind of feel into it what is
true for you.
Know that the chakra, rootchakra is often depicted as red,
and that the inherent right ofthis chakra is to have.
It's about making sure you haveall of your basic fundamental
needs met, and it also has avery primal energy to it.
(09:35):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (09:38):
Well, uh, primal
energy energy.
So sometimes it's associatedwith the idea of power animals,
that sort of thing.
It also is related to the earth.
So our groundedness, that'sthat's the whole idea of having
our needs met.
So our ground, our safety, ourphysic, physical needs.
Now, obviously, our whole bodyis physical, and you may feel
(10:01):
that physical physicalitysomewhere else.
I think it's just an interestingquestion to notice.
Is there this part of you thatyou notice?
Where do you notice it in yourbody?
Traditionally, it's here.
You may be like, oh, when Ithink of safety, it goes to my
head.
That's fine.
Just notice these things, but itis about having needs met, it's
(10:22):
about yeah, primality, it couldbe about ancestors, that sort of
thing.
SPEAKER_00 (10:27):
Roots, roots.
All right, moving on is sacralchakra.
Sacral chakra is located betweenthe pubic bone and the navel.
For women, I often think of likethis is your womb space, right?
This is the the create yourpelvic bowl holds all of those
really important organs.
So for the men, it's still theprostate, it's still like so.
(10:48):
It's that whatever's in thepelvic bowl is one way to think
about it.
And once again, it's kind of upfor debate about where do our
sexual organs really lay, whichwhich one root or sacral, the
physicality of it all.
SPEAKER_01 (11:02):
True.
Um, the element for this, eventhough we don't have it on here,
is water.
So think of flow, think ofsensuality, think of your
feelings, think of whatever inyou receives.
It's about receiving.
SPEAKER_00 (11:17):
That's such a good
point.
It's about being beingreceptive, right?
You're receiving.
Um, it vibrates this orange, then inherent right is to feel.
So oftentimes in sacral chakra, this is where you know that all
of your emotions are valid.
And it's very creative, it'svery artistic, it's very um
sensual because that's part ofthe feeling nature of it.
(11:40):
And so the affirmation for theshock would be I create, I'm a
sensual being, enjoy thepleasures of life.
SPEAKER_01 (11:47):
So it's an
interesting thing because I
would identify sexual ac sexualenergy with creativity.
So that would be an argument forthe sacral in that sense.
SPEAKER_00 (11:57):
Yeah, I typically
put it there.
All right, now we have the solarplexus chakra, which is located
between the navel and thesternum.
So it's right so we're herefinally.
SPEAKER_01 (12:10):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (12:10):
Right beneath your
ribs where the ribs come
together.
That's like the typical spot,right?
And it's also associated withyour GI health, your your
stomach, your liver, all of yourinternal organs that are in the
belly are typically seen assolar plexus, like related to
(12:31):
solar plexus.
SPEAKER_01 (12:32):
And the element for
it is fire.
It's about activity, it's abouttrusting your gut.
It's about also the ability toset boundaries.
SPEAKER_00 (12:43):
Yes.
Motivation, letting things go,having like that firm.
It's like your no center.
Like I'm not available for this,I'm letting that go.
I can be is also um very muchcorrelated with your
self-esteem, your self-worth,your self-love.
Like all of that is solarplexus, too.
SPEAKER_01 (13:02):
So when someone says
act from your gut, they're
really talking about your solarplexus.
Again, you may feel thatsomewhere else in your body, but
that is typically where I feelit.
Yeah.
I'm gonna act.
I feel that that's my center ofgravity, honestly, when I'm
moving.
SPEAKER_00 (13:18):
Right.
Yeah, the tandian, that's whatthey call it in Chinese
medicine.
And its inherent right is toact, like it it's very
action-oriented.
SPEAKER_01 (13:29):
So if you looked at
the sacral, that was about
receptivity.
This is almost the opposite.
This is about acting, right?
SPEAKER_00 (13:38):
And oftentimes I've
seen it depicted where your
sacral chakra is your divinefeminine, your solar plexus is
your um your sacred masculine.
And then as we move into heart,it's like the union of both.
It's the finding the balancebetween your masculine and
feminine energies.
SPEAKER_01 (13:55):
If we're fortunate.
SPEAKER_00 (13:57):
Right.
So the heart chakra is really isin the center of your chest,
located between that sternum andyour collarbone, but it is right
here in the in the center, andit does correlate with your
physical heart, your immunesystem, your blood, and it's
correlate and your lungs becauseit's correlated with air.
That's the element is air, andhow do we breathe?
(14:19):
And so that's um that's kind ofthe physicality of it.
SPEAKER_01 (14:22):
And even more if you
think about the lungs extending
out your arms and your hands.
So sometimes there'll be chakrasthat people will identify there.
But you can, if you use theseven system, it's a really
expansive chakra, and theelement for it is air, as you
might imagine, because our lungsare in it.
So it is about our love, it'sabout forgiveness, it is about
(14:46):
self-forgiveness, forgiveness ofothers.
Can I breathe into it?
How does that feel?
The lightness or the heavinessthat you feel within you.
SPEAKER_00 (14:54):
Yeah, I often think
about this is where you live out
loud.
The lower three chakras are veryinterpersonal, like they're
about your relationship withyourself.
Whereas when you move into theheart, this is exterior, this is
living my life out loud.
This is about relationships.
How do I receive love, kindness, support in my life?
And how do I offer love, kindness support, right?
Like it's an balance of thosetwo, that left side being your
(15:17):
feminine energy side, your rightside being your masculine energy
side.
SPEAKER_01 (15:21):
It's also at the
center of our chakra system, at
least if we understand it asgoing up and down a body.
And if we think about it, thefirst three were material, and
we went from earth to water tofire to air.
So things are kind of rising toa more spiritual place.
And the heart is sort of the notonly the union of the masculine
(15:42):
and the feminine you, but theunion of your body and your
spirit and your body.
SPEAKER_00 (15:48):
I love that.
Yum.
So the inherent right is tolove.
The affirmation would be I amloving and lovable.
All right, which brings us tothe throat chakra.
It's about your voice.
Um, you want to think aboutoftentimes it's seen as right
right directly on the throatwhere the thyroid is, but it
(16:10):
also includes everything fromcollarbone to your ears, right?
So including your sinuses, yourjaw, your mouth, like all of
this is also throat chakra.
And so, yeah, it's it has to dowith that thyroid, and that
would be where the nervoussystem plexi is, is in that
thyroid area.
And it's about communication, like not only in communicating
(16:32):
your needs, desires, once, yourfears, your boundaries, but also
listening to others.
So it's not about listening torespond, it's about listening to
hear.
And that's oftentimes I getfrustrated with people talking
about throat because it's justabout a one-way communication.
I'm gonna talk.
And it's like, oh, wait, yougotta hear equally.
SPEAKER_01 (16:54):
And it's also
listening to yourself through
that process.
So if we think about the throatchakra, if we use it with the
system that includes the ears, the nose, the mouth, it's
involves listening just as muchas it involves speaking.
That sometimes keeps people whohave very quiet voices and like,
oh, I like to listen.
And so you may still have someun out of balance in that, in
(17:17):
that throat chakra if you'rejust listening all the time or
if you're just speaking all thetime.
SPEAKER_00 (17:21):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (17:22):
Uh yeah, go ahead.
SPEAKER_00 (17:23):
And I'm I definitely
see it both ways.
You know, like there are somepeople who are really quiet or
really loud, and and it'srecognizing in yourself like, am
I communicating my needs, desires, wants, fears,
boundaries, those types ofthings, or am I holding back?
It's when you're you're bitingyour tongue and not speaking up.
Or on the other hand, I've hadclients that they will
(17:47):
constantly speak so they don'thave to hear the issues going on
in their world to the pointwhere I've had clients starting
to go deaf at age 40 becausethey can't stop talking because
they don't want to recognizewhat's happening in their own,
their own family relationships.
SPEAKER_01 (18:07):
And since we're
talking about sexual energy and
the senses, don't forget thatyour sense of taste and your
sense of smell are there too.
It's are there too.
It's a very and your sense ofhearing.
So three of your five senses arelocated in your heart in your
throat chakra.
SPEAKER_00 (18:22):
And also the touch,
like that's happening here too.
So right, and touch is happeningeverywhere.
Everywhere, right?
Presumably, but yeah, it's soit's very um, it's also the most
narrow of the chakras.
So I always find thatinteresting.
You know, your heart is like thewidest part of your body, and
your throat is the most narrowof your body.
And so sometimes I see peopleget bottlenecked here with the
(18:44):
energy flow.
And so it's something to beaware of of like, how am I not
moving the energy from below upor the energy from above down
through that throat?
SPEAKER_01 (18:54):
And the element is
ether.
SPEAKER_00 (18:57):
Cool.
Um, so yeah, this is aboutexpression, expressing your
truth, your purpose, andlistening compassionately.
Third eye chakra is typicallylocated between your eyebrows
right at the forehead, and it'susually depicted as indigo.
And I think a lot of peoplethink about intuition.
(19:20):
And I always encourage aboutperception.
How do I see the world?
What glasses am I lookingthrough?
Am I wearing rosy coloredglasses?
How am I interpreting the worldas it's presented to me?
And as you do that, this isabout how are you thinking about
it?
How are you learning?
What's your intuition?
What's your spiritual gifts?
(19:41):
What are you seeing beyond?
So it's it can be verymultifaceted.
SPEAKER_01 (19:45):
I'd also say it's
about your imagination.
Yes.
And your imagination in thewildest sense possible.
It can go anywhere.
So if intuition is, in a sense, seeing things as they are
through your mind's eye,imagination is seeing what's
possible through your mind'seye, and they're both really
part of the third eye.
Yeah.
The element would be light.
(20:11):
But it's a it's a matter oftrust.
So, in a way, if you think aboutit, we're considering all of
these chakras through a thirdeye lens.
We're we're saying, What arethese things?
How do we tell them apart?
We're using our third eye thewhole time that we're
understanding this.
Is a third eye practice, in away, this webinar.
SPEAKER_00 (20:30):
Well, and I loved um
teaching my students that the
imagination is where the divinecan communicate with you because
it's so true when like yourimagination station is open to
possibility, you have thisreceiving energy coming in from
the crown, which is where we'regoing next.
Oh, the crown chakra is locatedat the top of the head or just
(20:54):
above the head, right?
Like if you had a crown on thatthat energy right above it is
where the crown chakra would be.
And oftentimes it's depicted asviolet or gold or light energy.
And I like to think of it as bigpicture thoughts.
How do I see my see the world asseparation is an illusion?
What's my place and the world ina big picture?
(21:16):
Whereas root chakra is verydetailed-oriented, crown chakra
is very big picture-oriented,universal, universal, yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (21:26):
It's a connection
with the universe, it's the
oneness, it's the acknowledgingthat everything, however
different we distinct we makeit, in the end, it's all just
one, one with ourselves as well.
So it's it's not only connectionwith the universe as far as it
goes, but our deepest connectionwith all that we are, all that
(21:46):
is the element for it is spirit.
So it's it is our most spiritualof the chakras, and it's yeah,
in in essence, we're allconnected through our crown
chakra.
Although I like to think of itas also because it's connected
to everything.
If we think of that wheel, oneof the what chakra means in the
(22:09):
Sanskrit, that wheel can connectback to the root.
SPEAKER_00 (22:12):
Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01 (22:13):
So we look at
ourselves as up and down, but if
we think of it in terms of uh ofa system, it really connects
back down.
SPEAKER_00 (22:22):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (22:22):
That's how I see it.
So it connects everywhere,right?
But one of the places itconnects is right back down.
SPEAKER_00 (22:27):
And I love to think
of it like it's an energy flow
where it can move, we'rereceiving up from the earth, and
that energy field is movingthrough the body and out into
the auric field, thenreconnecting back down again,
and then it can also goopposite.
So I like to you can think of itboth ways.
So there's a lot of differenthealing modalities like Ricky,
(22:47):
where you're receiving down andthen it's coming all the way
through and up back out.
So it can it, there's a lot ofenergy movement possible through
the chakras.
SPEAKER_01 (22:57):
Yeah.
Um, you can see my purple hat.
But yes, my my violet hat.
Unless you're listening, andthen you cannot see it.
SPEAKER_00 (23:12):
So and that's why
one of the reasons why we wanted
to add in like letting go of thedogma of the chakras, is because
it's really important tounderstand how does this apply
to yourself?
How do you feel it?
Because so often we see thechakras taught as okay, it's
gotta be this topic has to fitinto this box, and it's the only
(23:33):
way it's gotta be.
And I'm all about breaking thebox and be like, maybe it
doesn't work that way.
Maybe we can see it as amultifaceted, multi-dimensional
topic, and that it's notnecessarily so structured, so
black and white.
SPEAKER_01 (23:48):
Yeah, people have
very strong opinions on chakras,
even how to pronounce the wordchakra, which in Sanskrit is a
ch, but people say chakra, and Iknow what they mean, and I think
that is fine for me.
Other people may object.
People have very strong feelingsabout the color, people have
very strong feelings about theplacement, people have very
strong feelings about thenumber, people have very strong
(24:10):
feelings about what's involvedwith them.
And I must admit, I don't havethose strong feelings.
What I want people to notice isdo we have these different
aspects of ourselves?
Does that generally make senseto us?
Where do we feel them in ourbody?
And it may or may not be inthose spots.
You may or may not associate thesame things as the things that
(24:33):
we're talking about.
But I believe tantra is aboutremoving the conditioning from
the society and coming to yourown experiential idea of it.
And if you listen to our otherwebinar and our actually our
podcast where we talk abouttantra, we talk about the
experiential nature of Tantra.
So we want to encourage anexperiential relationship with
(24:57):
chakras where you come to yourown understanding of those, and
we cannot be dogmatic if that'sthe case.
Right.
And if you're very dogmaticabout the chakras, tantra might
be a little difficult for you.
I wouldn't say it's would be badfor you.
It'd be a great practice to tryto see how that validates your
view.
SPEAKER_00 (25:15):
Exactly.
SPEAKER_01 (25:16):
But it but it's
gonna be more challenging than
than having an open relationshipwith what might be possible.
SPEAKER_00 (25:26):
Right.
I think that's where we get intothe third eye.
Like, how are we perceivingthis?
Do are we are we bringing in aclosed-mindedness to say that
this is not in my realm ofpossibility because of X, Y, and
Z?
It doesn't fit into thestructure that I need to have,
right?
So it's just something to beaware of and to and an
encouragement to be open-mindedaround how you feel and if it
(25:51):
makes sense according to what wejust described, fantastic.
And if it doesn't, that's okaytoo.
SPEAKER_01 (25:58):
Exactly.
Write that down.
It's down.
SPEAKER_00 (26:03):
That's true.
This is it.
So a lot of you came on tonightbecause you wanted to hear about
how the chakras inform oursexual selves.
And I I I love this conversationbecause I really do believe our
sexual selves is our whole selfand that it's going to be
(26:24):
influenced by each of thesechakras in a different way.
And so that's what we want totalk about now.
SPEAKER_01 (26:29):
I know in the class
we'll probably talk more about
what that means, but what do youmean when you in maybe in a
brief way?
What do you mean when you saythe sexual self is the whole
self?
SPEAKER_00 (26:40):
That you can
experience sexuality and
sensuality with your wholebeing, your mind, body, spirit,
whole being.
SPEAKER_01 (26:48):
So in our society,
we've typically identified
sexual experience with a genitalexperience, with the orgasm
being in this genitalexperience.
Right.
And we've talked a little aboutwhere those genitals may be in
the chakra system, but we'resaying actually you can take
whatever take the energy whichis both in the genitals and
actually in other parts of yourbody, integrate them and let
(27:11):
them flow through the chakrasystem.
In my school, it's somethingcalled the inner flute that
we're moving that energy up fromthe ground all the way up
through the crown or todifferent levels.
It doesn't have to go throughthe crown, but the goal, there
aren't really goals, but if youwere to have a goal, it would be
to move that energy up all theway through the crown.
(27:32):
But really, it's just to be andto notice and to see what
happens inside of you.
SPEAKER_00 (27:37):
Right.
And so we wanted to actuallybreak it down into the chakras.
One way you could think about itwould be okay, so we're looking
at root, where is that primalnature within ourselves that
want to experience this?
Right.
What's the what's the physicalneed for to have sex?
(27:58):
Right.
And that oftentimes would bedriving the root to have this a
fundamental sexual need met, versus sacral chakra might be
much more in the creativity ofthe sexual experience.
The creativity, the flow, the umit's the sensual nature of it
(28:21):
all, right?
And so those can becomplementary and very
satisfying just to experiencethose differences, right?
And how they interact um as asexual self.
You want to add to that?
SPEAKER_01 (28:39):
Or do you want me to
keep going?
Keep going.
So whereas like the wheel of thechakra spinning.
SPEAKER_00 (28:45):
I'm I'm gonna go for
it then.
So solar plexus, oftentimes Ithink about where's my
self-esteem at, right?
And so if you have a lowself-esteem, if you have body
image issues, if you're notfeeling good about yourself,
how's that gonna impact your sexlife?
Right.
If you feel really whole andcomplete, like I'm amazing, I'm
I love myself, I know what I'mdoing in all of this or whatever
(29:08):
it may be, that's gonna helpimpact a healthy sex life.
Versus if I if you're reallyconcerned about how am I how do
I look, how am I breathing, whatam I doing with my body, is that
acceptable or not?
Like if there's an overanalysisof waiting for your validation
to come from someone else, that's gonna be a solar plexus
issue.
SPEAKER_01 (29:26):
I would add one
other thing that you can go
solar plexus the other way, beoverconfident.
Yes, have too much of a sense ofyourself, be so arrogant that
you think you're saying a man asGod's gift to women, for
instance, would be solar plexusgone wrong the other direction.
And both are possible in each ofthese chakras where you can have
(29:47):
an underabundance or anoverabundance, depending on how
how we look at it.
And they can apply sexuality.
Did you want to go through theother four?
Are we gonna go?
SPEAKER_00 (29:56):
I yeah, I'm totally.
SPEAKER_01 (29:57):
All right, keep
going.
SPEAKER_00 (30:00):
Well, and I think
this is important because I
think that's it.
Like noticing if you're lower onthe energy for this chakra or
higher on like which way are youswinging on the pendulum?
Overly abundant or less, right?
And so in the heart space, thisis about connection.
This is about relationship.
So obviously that's going toimpact your sexual nature with
(30:21):
your partner.
Or are is this aboutself-pleasure?
And are you able to know thatyou're worthy to receive, right?
Is that sacral?
Is that hard?
Is it both?
You know, all of that, all ofthat's so important in this.
And so the throat is is so muchabout communicating your
boundaries, communicating whatyou want, communicating what
(30:42):
your fears are, so that thesexual experience that you do
have, it can be a pleasurableone for both people in that
dynamic, if there is apartnership happening.
SPEAKER_01 (30:52):
And think about the
connection between your lips
kissing and your genitals too.
So if we just want to look at aphysical level, it's clear that
the expression through the oneis related to the other.
SPEAKER_00 (31:05):
Yeah, it's actually
like where the cervix for women
and the vocal cords, if you putthem side by side, it's really
hard to tell them a differencebetween which sphincter is
which, which I think is amazingbecause as you bring your pitch
higher, your cervix willtighten.
Like all of these things arejust really cool to me, right?
To understand that our voice hasso much of an impact on physical
(31:28):
body.
So vibrational healing, all forit, right?
We want to use our tonality, ouremotional energy to bring that
energy up and through our throatchakra versus third eye, where
which we spoke about with theimagination and being able to
have the perception of what kindof experience that you want.
(31:50):
Like, can you envision it andcan you create it through that
third eye space?
SPEAKER_01 (31:56):
Also, if you think
about connection, right?
If we're moving energy and we'rein the flow, we might in the
moment be able to be morespontaneous, more flowing in our
sex life.
So even though we're we'retalking about systems and
processes and exercises, thereis room for spontaneity.
And I believe that spontaneityreally can express itself
(32:19):
through through a wide openthird eye.
SPEAKER_00 (32:22):
Right.
And notice if it's not, right?
If your perception is like, I'mgonna be hurt, I'm gonna be
ashamed, I'm gonna be likewhatever your thoughts are
telling you, and that's yourperception of what your sex life
is or will be, or whatever, likehow is that gonna impact your uh
your sex life?
(32:42):
Right.
So notice what you're thinkingabout and what your what your
and this goes back to like howare you communicating those
fears, right?
And so these all, and then thisis going back to losing the
dogma because they're allflowing within one another,
right?
To where crown, if you arereally flowing all this energy
(33:03):
through your seven chakras andyou bring that energy all the
way up to crown, it's the cosmicorgasm.
And this is the whole body, physical, mental, emotional,
spiritual experience of thatreally beautiful sexual self,
right?
SPEAKER_01 (33:20):
Like, and we'll in
our class, we're not going to be
moving energy quite.
We may move energy to the crown, but we may we're not going to do
some of the practices that aremore advanced that that that
involves.
But I would encourage you toread a book called The Art of
Sexual Ecstasy by Margot Anon, where she describes practices
that do that, and um it's prettyyummy.
(33:43):
It's pretty yummy beyond.
I'm understating it.
It's incredible.
SPEAKER_00 (33:49):
All right.
So, how does energy move throughthe chakras?
And I've got to say, there's 101ways, there's so many ways to
move energy through the chakras.
SPEAKER_01 (33:59):
Only 101.
SPEAKER_00 (34:01):
12 thousands,
millions.
There's lots of ways.
There's lots of ways.
And I think for my background,my experience, a lot of it has
been through Reiki.
Like I knew about how to moveenergy and how to move energy
within the body and through thechakras was always my foundation
was in my Reiki practice, right?
And so then bringing in thisawareness of, oh, I can use it
(34:24):
with breath, I can move it withsound, I can use do it with
movement.
That from the tantric practicesreally helps ignite and really
be have more, even moreself-awareness of like, wow, I
can I can move this this way aswell.
SPEAKER_01 (34:38):
Yeah, we talked a
lot about this in our previous
webinar where we talked aboutthe three keys in our class.
If you take it, we're gonna haveweeks specifically devoted to
breath, sound, and movement.
But what we are going to bedoing, and what we did not
really talk about in thatwebinar, is we're going to be
moving it through what Imentioned earlier, the inner
(35:01):
flute.
So the inner flute is basicallythink of it as a channel that
goes all the way up through yourbody.
You can think of it as, youknow, going up the back and down
the front.
It doesn't really matter.
Just imagine almost like thisalmost cylindrical thing going
up through your body.
And we're going to be breathingand moving and sounding, but
(35:22):
starting with breath, we'regoing to be moving that breath
up through the root chakra, allthe way up as far as we can go
through that, through differentpractices.
And we will do practices that goto the crown, um, especially in
the breath work week and maybein the other weeks as well,
where we have we're stillworking out some of our
curriculum.
(35:42):
But we're but and some of that'sgoing to be based on you know
the needs of the class, ofcourse.
But we're going to be movingthat energy.
And if we move that energy, wehelp integrate the energy in our
chakras.
Because we've talked about howthere could be blockages, how
there'd be overabundance andunderabundance.
If we move that energy, we canbetter integrate that energy.
(36:05):
At least that's the theory, andthat's my personal experience.
That the more I move, the more Isound, the more I breathe, the
more um whole I feel.
Because I am whole, but I feelthat wholeness.
I feel that wholeness in mybody, and I'm happier.
A lot happier.
SPEAKER_00 (36:27):
Yeah.
And I threw in some of thesephotos as well, these pictures,
these diagrams, because this isjust another way to look at that
inner flute is that Shishumni, the Shishumna Nadi, this energy
pathway center line.
And then you have these energiesthat move through each of the
chakras up the center, theflute, the shishumni.
(36:51):
So I um I've seen it a lot ofways.
I just know from personalexperience, it feels amazing to
move your energy through yourchakras.
And whether you're doing thatthrough breath, movement, sound,
break ear, whatever it may be,it's such a powerful experience
to feel where the energy isavailable to flow to, and then
(37:12):
recognize oh, there's astagnation, there's something in
the way here that's not allowingit to move further, further.
And then using these practices, you're kind of energetically
busting through that stagnation.
And that's what feels reallyincredible too, is that learning
how to do this for yourselfmoves energy so that you're in
(37:34):
alignment, you're in youroptimal flow.
SPEAKER_01 (37:37):
Now, it may not feel
amazing at first because you are
releasing that energy.
SPEAKER_00 (37:42):
Right.
SPEAKER_01 (37:42):
Really hard things
may come up.
SPEAKER_00 (37:44):
Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01 (37:44):
You may start
crying, you may start feeling a
lot of resistance, you may feelnot great at first.
And we're just going to urge youto notice those experiences and
see for yourself and interpretfor yourself what that means.
Right.
Um in my own experience, yeah,it often took a lot of tears to
get to the joyful place.
(38:05):
Now I don't have quite as manytears, or if I do, they're very
joyful tears when I do.
But at first, yes, it was oftena really challenging experience.
And your body might say, Whoa, this is too much too fast.
And so you should always listento your body and take it at its
pace.
These practices can be adjusted.
(38:27):
But these are the tools to moveit, and I have found in my own
experience it does end up in anabsolutely amazing place.
SPEAKER_00 (38:35):
Absolutely.
So, how can chakra awarenesssupport your tantric practices?
That's a lot of what we've justbeen talking about.
It's really understanding thosefeelings of the chakras, what
obstacles are in the way, howcan we bring the energy through
them to really increasealiveness, to live an ecstatic
life, to live a life thatcontains bliss and pleasure and
(38:58):
just full bigger, fullerawareness.
SPEAKER_01 (39:01):
Right.
And notice there are twoseparate ideas going on here.
One is subtle awareness, theother is the feelings and the
increasing of aliveness.
So we're moving energy.
Energy is typically identifiedas Shakti.
So we're moving energy, Shaktienergy through our body, sexual
(39:24):
energy.
And we're using Shiva energy,awareness.
We're aware, we're intentionalin our moving of that through
the body.
So we're bringing what is oftenconsidered our masculine and our
feminine together through that.
So we had masculine and femininechakras, but we can also think
(39:45):
of the process of being awareand moving the energy as another
masculine feminine union.
And if in tantric theory, ifthose two are in balance within
ourselves, we are able toincrease our aliveness, expand.
SPEAKER_00 (40:03):
Yeah.
Yeah.
I love it.
Yes, please add more.
So I would love to open it upfor questions.
If you guys have any questions, know that we are, this is once
again the tip of the iceberg ofwhat we're going to be offering
(40:24):
in our five-week masterclass.
This can be for individuals, this can be for couples, this
can be your perfect date nightonce a week, or you can bring a
friend.
You can bring a friend.
Like if you have a practice, someone you can practice with
and you want to join at with afriend, you're more than welcome
to because all of thesepractices that we're going to be
(40:45):
doing are going to be energyenhancers through breaths down
and movement.
You can practice sacred spacewith a friend, just like you
could a um a spouse, right?
So know that whoever you'repracticing with, whether you're
alone in the practice, thingsare all always going to be
(41:06):
adjusted for that.
And know that if you are in arelationship, these are also
going to be really supportivepractices.
SPEAKER_01 (41:12):
Yeah.
You're going to have options, but the but the idea of Tantra
is that you're complete as youare right now, that nobody is
responsible for your pleasure.
You're responsible for your ownpleasure.
So as a solo, that's obvious,right?
That you're able to practicethis by yourself.
SPEAKER_00 (41:31):
But I just want to
be like, say that louder in the
back of the people who didn'thear it.
You're whole and complete onyour own.
SPEAKER_01 (41:37):
Yes.
Whole and complete on your own.
But it is also beautiful andpowerful and to be in witness of
each other in partnership.
And that can also bring up theedges because you now have to
communicate those desires, fears, and boundaries, not just
to yourself, but to someoneelse.
So sometimes the growth can be,I don't know, slightly faster
(42:00):
sometimes, but also morechallenging with a partner.
Yeah.
Recognizing it is still youdoing the work, whether you're
with a partner or not, it's youwho are doing it.
And either practice can be apowerful way to go through
tantra.
I have typically in my owntraining been a solo, but I've
had to partner with a wholebunch of different people
(42:21):
through that process.
And I've learned the power ofbeing in my own energy while
with someone who I'm notromantically attached to.
SPEAKER_00 (42:30):
Right.
Right.
And I I started my tantrajourney as a, you know, doing
the practice for me, myself, andI.
And it was amazing to do that, right?
Like to know that I'mresponsible for the own energy
movement within me.
And that when I am joined inpartnership, then I'm like, I
know how to take care of mymyself in my own energy.
(42:54):
And then it can be an enhancer, like when we bring in the sacred
space, the communication, theunderstanding of what our
intentions are and letting thatcreative flow and spontaneity
unfold as it would, as it will.
SPEAKER_01 (43:11):
And we're practicing
that right now.
We're offering you a webinar.
We're doing this together as acouple.
We're in partnership.
We had to develop this together.
We had to figure this out.
We're in our own tantricpractice right now.
We actually happen to be in asacred space that we did
beforehand to create thecontainer for this.
SPEAKER_00 (43:31):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (43:32):
So I am managing my
own energy.
She's managing her own energy, and we're going to communicate
about it.
SPEAKER_00 (43:37):
Yeah, exactly.
So the first week's class isgoing to be on creating sacred
space.
So we're we're really going toteach a very specific um
ceremony based off of Mar.
Well, who was it Margo and not?
SPEAKER_01 (43:56):
Margot came up with
the original idea.
Then the ceremony we did wascreated by a couple, Steve and
Lakita Carter.
SPEAKER_00 (44:08):
Which came up with
this really amazing ceremony to
how do you create a sacred spacethat feels really good
individually so that you feelcomfortable to share your
desires, fears, and boundaries.
So we're gonna walk you throughthe process of how to have
sacred space.
(44:29):
And um, that can be utilized inyour relationship and as well as
with clientele, with your familymembers.
Like it doesn't necessarily haveto be a sexual experience.
It's about creating a sacredspace to have deep, meaningful
conversations and connection.
SPEAKER_01 (44:49):
Yeah, we've you can
have sacred space with friends,
with coworkers.
We did this with your communitymembers.
SPEAKER_00 (44:55):
We did.
SPEAKER_01 (44:56):
So this is the this
is the ground of all the rest of
the work.
Everything is gonna be in someform of sacred space, but it
doesn't mean it has to, it'slike a great tool to be used
whether or not you're usedapplying it to your sex life,
sex life or your sexual energy.
SPEAKER_00 (45:13):
Right.
Yeah.
So that's week one.
And then week two, we're gonnawe're gonna start off with doing
focusing on breath, one of thekeys of Tantra.
And so we will be creating oursacred space and a like
shortened version so that we canactually have we'll have a short
mini lesson on why breath is akey to Tantra, how to utilize
(45:37):
breath, and then we're gonna bedoing breath work practices.
SPEAKER_01 (45:40):
Right.
And we'll probably always havesome kind of movement practice
to start, even though movement'sone of the weeks, just to get
energy up because tantra isabout moving energy.
You don't get that just bysitting in a chair the way we
are in this webinar.
So it's great.
It is an experiential class.
SPEAKER_00 (45:57):
It is an
experiential class.
We're gonna have somaticexercises every week, right?
And they're doable exercises sothat you can tangibly do them
during class, watch the replay, follow along, and then when
you're comfortable, do them as apractice on your own.
Like we want to make sure thatit's it's uh tangible for
everyone to learn it and then doit or practice.
SPEAKER_01 (46:18):
And you can say no
to any practice because part of
this work is practicing yourboundaries, practicing your no,
honoring your no.
You can always do less than whatthe practice is calling for.
So you you're in control of thepractice, and then you just
notice how you feel with thedecisions you make.
The real tantra is not in doingthese practices, yeah.
The real tantra is in noticinghow it feels to make the
(46:41):
decisions you make around thethings we're gonna prompt.
SPEAKER_00 (46:44):
Yes, exactly.
SPEAKER_01 (46:46):
Even though we
believe doing this will help
move that energy, you may findsome other path through your
yeses and no's.
SPEAKER_00 (46:54):
Yes.
I think sound is this the thethird week, and so we're gonna
be adding in with the breath.
How do we add in sound?
How do we not only will createthe sacred container once again,
we'll do have some a lesson onsound and why this is so
important, and then we'll haveactual somatic practices using
sound, like really being likethis.
(47:15):
Is one of our modes, like how Isaid the chakra is so narrow,
it's because so many oftentimeswe are holding back our voice,
we're holding back our ourwords, our sounds, our our
emotions, right?
And so, how do we activate soundwithin the body?
And that's gonna be also reallypowerful because once you can
(47:35):
learn how to move energy withsound, that can be a real
enhancer for your sacred sexlife, right?
SPEAKER_01 (47:44):
Right.
SPEAKER_00 (47:45):
And then our fourth
week will be on movement.
So then we're gonna be addingin, right?
We're layering it up.
So we've got the sacredcontainer, we've got our sacred
bubble.
Now we're doing breath, sound, and then adding in movement
because when we can add inmovement, it's just another
energy enhancer to get into theflow.
And when you activate that, nowit where it's becoming much more
(48:07):
dynamic.
You can learn how to move energyin your body, and then there's
also practices that you canlearn with a partner to bring
all three together for yourselfand in unison with your partner.
SPEAKER_01 (48:20):
Sure.
Sure.
Sounds great.
Sounds great.
SPEAKER_00 (48:24):
And then our fourth
week or fifth week is going to
be on it's gonna be a QA, butalso like really listening to
everyone throughout the firstfour weeks of what are you
interested in?
What do you want to learn?
What do you want to know?
And then we're it's still gonnabe sacred space container, how
to create your sacred sex life, what does that mean for you?
(48:46):
What communications would youlike to have around that and um
or somatic practices?
SPEAKER_01 (48:52):
Right.
What what what would be the nextlevel of all of this?
SPEAKER_00 (48:55):
Right.
And so we'll match that class tothe participants' energy and
their needs, desires, and wants.
SPEAKER_01 (49:03):
So, yes, these are
introductory, introductory tools
from which we can build on forfuture work, although they're
powerful all by themselves.
SPEAKER_00 (49:14):
Absolutely.
So, yeah, we're hoping to teachthis class so that people get a
flavor of our energy, ofunderstanding what tantra is,
having some real solid practicesthat you can take home with and
practice for yourself and reallyfeel feel the feelings of moving
energy in your body throughbreath sound and movement.
You're smiling at me.
SPEAKER_01 (49:34):
I like you.
SPEAKER_00 (49:37):
Um yeah, and then
you know, we're hoping to offer
retreats at some point soon.
So this is a really great way tofeel into this type of work
before we can take it to thenext level with in-person
practices.
SPEAKER_01 (49:52):
Yes.
SPEAKER_00 (49:53):
Yeah.
Um, I have added the link to themasterclass in the chat box.
So know that you can go there.
You can look at it, we'll have aweek-to-week description in
that.
Um, we have already done a lotof podcasts that are now either
up on Wisdom Rising podcasts aswell as the YouTube channel.
So if you want to watch theconversations, but I I like, oh
(50:17):
my goodness, to do this inpartnership and relationship,
whether that's with yourrelationship with self and
understanding yourself on adeeper level or in relationship
with another is really profound.
Once you're in the coursework, you'll have a lot of those
pre-recorded videos there.
I'm already adding in somepractices so that each week
(50:41):
you'll have like, here's anotherlittle side practice if you want
to do it for sound breath ormovement.
So we'll be adding in some extrabonuses more than just the
weekly calls as well.
SPEAKER_01 (50:53):
Yeah, if you get in
the class, you can already do
chakra dance.
SPEAKER_00 (50:56):
You can.
It's so good.
So good.
It's like my favorite.
Um, it really is.
Like, I get so excited everytime he says the word.
I'm like, can we do that again, please?
Um, yeah.
So know that on the week ofThanksgiving, we'll have office
hours.
And so we'll have our finalcalls after Thanksgiving.
So we'll take a break that week.
(51:17):
But if you're like, oh, I've gotthis question, or I still wish I
had I want an extra class andwe're gonna be available to jump
on with you.
Um, whoever comes that night, but it won't be a formal class.
SPEAKER_01 (51:29):
Correct.
So it's five weeks of classesand one week of office hours.
SPEAKER_00 (51:34):
Yeah.
And if you have any questionsbefore class starts somebody,
please just reach out.
DM me DM me, DM Jim.

SPEAKER_00 (52:01):
