One focus I rarely get to explore here is conscious parenting. Yet it’s foundational to everything else! In my work (and in my upcoming book), I’m bringing to the foreground our original connection with Presence. It is our original blessing. That’s very different from original sin and all that stirs up. What if we carried that awareness into how we are with the children---our leaders of tomorrow? Jay Aedo is a children’s book author, practical philosophy teacher, and an international entrepreneur. His book Conscious Bible Stories approaches children’s Biblical teachings from a gentler, more conscious perspective, turning away from narratives that stir up victimhood, anxiety, and self-blame at a young age. Jay believes retelling these stories will show the next generation that God wants them to feel empowered and confident in themselves, without the weight of fear and shame.
