Kathy Nelson is a telecommunications engineer with an electrical engineering degree. She spent 25 years working at a utility company while also serving on the Board of Industry Trade Association. In 2017, she became the first chairwoman of the board for the 70-year-old trade association. Kathy then worked at a small startup radio manufacturer before transitioning to her current role as an engineer in a consulting firm, where she focuses more on strategy than design. Three years ago, she started a podcast, which has been a highlight of her career. Kathy is passionate about discussing the unexpected paths that people take in their careers.
Lennis Perez, also known as the Chief Wellness Engineer, is a highly accomplished individual with a passion for promoting well-being and preventing burnout. With a background in chemical engineering, Lennis worked in that field for 16 years before founding their own company in 2016. However, it was Lennis' personal experiences with burnout that sparked a new direction in their career. Recognizing the importance of managing stress and prioritizing well-being, Lennis became a certified meditation teacher through Chopra Global, a journey that included the privilege of spending time with renowned wellness expert Dr. Deepak Chopra. Today, Lennis strives to bring balance and well-being to women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) as well as professionals and students in the field, emphasizing the need to prioritize self-care and prevent burnout.

Ruthie's Table 4
For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
