In this episode of WooBiz, host Andy Walker talks with Jonathan Ashford, a former tech executive who had a near-death experience (NDE) that completely transformed his outlook on life, work, and abundance. Once driven by money, status, and achievement, Jonathan died for three hours and came back with profound spiritual insight. Now, he teaches others how to find peace, purpose, and self-love without chasing external success.
Jonathan Ashford expands on the theme of manifestation, revealing that the real secret to attracting what you desire lies in setting an intention and then releasing it. He explains that true creation comes from alignment with the divine, not control or effort. When you let go of the need to chase outcomes and instead trust the process, life arranges the right opportunities in perfect timing. He likens it to walking up a staircase that forms only as you’re ready to take each step. Jonathan emphasizes that genuine abundance arises when intentions are rooted in love, service, and connection to others—because what we create is always meant to uplift the collective, not just ourselves.

Jonathan’s Near-Death Experience and Awakening
Jonathan shares how a sudden medical emergency caused his organs to fail, leading to clinical death for three hours. During this time, he experienced what he calls “the long blink” — transitioning into a velvety darkness, then a life review and profound encounters with divine beings. Upon returning, he realized that his previous life of ambition and materialism had been driven by a lack of self-love.
From Executive to Spiritual Messenger
Before his NDE, Jonathan was a 46-year-old C-suite executive in tech and marketing, living a high-consumption lifestyle. After returning, he walked away from everything—career, possessions, and status—and began living simply, offering spiritual guidance on a donation basis.
Key Lessons on Life, Love, and Money
Jonathan reveals that love and self-acceptance are at the core of human existence. He learned that judgment is the absence of love and that self-forgiveness is essential. He explains that money is merely a tool for experience—not a measure of worth—and true abundance comes when one is ready to receive it.
Spiritual Insights and Psychic Abilities
Since his experience, Jonathan reports enhanced psychic perception—clairvoyance, clairaudience, and even clairalience (psychic smell). He discusses how everyone has these intuitive abilities but must “tune the radio” of awareness through calm, gratitude, and connection to nature.
On Angels, Spirit Guides, and the Divine
Jonathan describes encounters with divine energies and spirits, explaining that angels and guides appear in whatever form we most need—sometimes as pets or loved ones. He emphasizes that no one is ever truly alone; spiritual support is constant and omnipresent.
Practical Guidance: The 14-Day Nature Challenge
He encourages listeners to spend 15 minutes a day in nature for two weeks—walking mindfully, expressing gratitude, and recognizing the consciousness of the natural world. This practice, he says, opens the heart to love and deep peace.
WooBiz+ Extended Segment – Manifestation and Intention
In the extended WooBiz+ segment, Jonathan shares his perspective on manifestation. Contrary to common self-help teachings, he advises setting an intention and then letting it go—allowing divine alignment to bring outcomes naturally. He likens it to a staircase that appears one step at a time: you must trust the process and not force results.
He also reminds listeners that all intentions should serve the collective good. When you help others, abundance flows naturally. As Andy notes, “If you help a billion people, you make a billion dollars.”
Jonathan’s Mission and Upcoming Book
Jonathan now dedicates his life to helping others awaken spiritually. He offers one-on-one sessions, group talks, and is currently preparing a book expected in 2026. His message: “You don’t need to die to wake up. Everything you’re looking for is already within you.”

Ruthie's Table 4
For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
