Rhona Pierce (00:00):
When I started this podcast, it was about
challenging the rules of work, especially in hiring. But
somewhere along the way, Irealized it's not just about
what rules we break, it's aboutwhat we build in their place.
And that's what Workfluencer isall about. Welcome back, kind
of. This is gonna feel a littledifferent today because it's not

(00:22):
just another season or anotherseries.
It's a whole new podcast.Throughout the playbook was
where I explored how work waschanging. It was about calling
out outdated hiring practices, building personal brands, and
rethinking leadership. But themore conversations I had, the
more I realized there wassomething bigger happening,

(00:44):
something more powerful thanjust rejecting old systems.
People weren't just throwing outplaybooks.
They were writing their own, andthe common thread, content. Over
time, I noticed a shift, and notjust in the guests, but in you,
the listeners, in the DMs, inthe questions I kept getting.

(01:06):
You weren't just interested inbold takes about hiring. You
were asking about building trustonline, attracting talent or
opportunity through content, balancing influence and a full
time job, and making your brandvisible without making it all
about you. That's whenWorkfluencers started taking

(01:27):
shape.
Because whether you're arecruiter, a founder, a team
lead, or a marketer, if you'reusing content to change how we
talk about work, this podcast isfor you. Workfluencer is the
podcast for professionals usingcontent to build influence,
attract talent, createopportunity, all from within the

(01:48):
walls of corporate. It's notjust for full time creators.
It's for the talent acquisitionleader turning hiring pain
points into LinkedIn posts. Forthe employer brand manager
launching video campaigns fromthe shadows.
For the recruiter who went viralbeing real about burnout. And
for the founder who figured outthat storytelling does way more

(02:11):
than any job board ever will. These are the creators who still
clock in, or at least that's howthey started. This podcast will
explore how they build trust, what happened when content
turned into offers, clients, andopportunities, and sometimes
even pressure. We'll talkstrategy, content, platforms,

(02:34):
monetization techniques, and thereal reason content unlocks
career leverage, even if younever wanna be an influencer.
There are four kinds of peoplethat I had in mind when I
created Workfluencer. First, thecorporate content creator.
You're pumping out post beforeyour 9AM stand up. You're

(02:57):
building a personal brand thatsupports your career and the
company that you work for. Youwanna speak up without stepping
on toes.
Second, the side hustler. You'rejuggling a full time job and a
part time business. You'resqueezing in content creation
between client calls, teammeetings, and bedtime. You know

(03:17):
this works. You just need aplan.
Third, the creator founder. You've turned your content into
a client attraction machine. Nowyou're building systems, hiring
help, and trying to stay true toyour voice. And finally, the
content enabler. You might notbe the person in front of the
camera.

(03:38):
You're the one enabling yourteam to show up online. You're
in talent acquisition, employerbranding, recruitment marketing.
You manage internal creators. You fight for budget, build the
approval workflows, and try tomake content that doesn't sound
like marketing wrote it andlegal edited it. This podcast is

(04:01):
as much for you as it is forthose hitting publish.
Here's what to expect fromWorkfluencer. Tactical
interviews with professionalswho've built influence through
content without quitting theirjobs, at least most of them.
Plus, new recurring segmentsthat bring out the real stories
behind the posts. Plea theFifth, my personal favorite. You

(04:26):
saw me launch it at Transform inVegas A Few Months ago.
It's a confessional style, rapidfire question segment where
guests get to tell you what theyreally think about recruiting,
content, and all the messythings in between, boss
reactions. Because how could wetalk about being a creator,

(04:48):
having a nine to five, and notlet you know what people's
bosses really think when they goviral? DMs and deals. That's
what we all want at the end ofthe day. So the real ways that
these creators have been able tosecure brand deals or get
monetized for the content thatthey create.

(05:10):
And would you post that? Anotherone of my favorites where my
guest and I sit down, look at apiece of content, analyze it,
and decide if this is somethingthat we or that they would have
posted. We're keeping it honest, insightful, and just a little
unfiltered. Because this isn'tabout hype. It's about building

(05:32):
real leverage through contentthat actually works.
So here's the ask. If you'vebeen listening since throughout
the playbook, thank you. Ifyou're new here, welcome. Either
way, I'd love for you to come onthis journey, because the people
who are shaping the future ofwork, they're not asking for
permission, They're buildinginfluence. One post, one story,

(05:55):
one video at a time.
Workfluencer is the podcast forprofessionals who are changing
how we talk about work and thosewho should be. The first full
episode drops next week. Can'twait to share it with you.
