Beyond the Spa Doors – Nicole Spargo’s Story of Courage, Growth & Creating a Safe Haven

This next chat is with the incredible Nicole Spargo, owner of the award-winning Five Star Day Spa in Erina on the Central Coast. Nicole recently celebrated 10 years of running the spa, which has become a sanctuary for relaxation, skin, and body treatments.

From the moment you step into the spa, there's an undeniable sense of calm. And that tranquility is no accident—it’s a reflection of Nicole’s warmth, resilience, and unwavering commitment to her clients and team.

But Nicole’s journey to owning Five Star Day Spa is one filled with challenges. What many may not know is that Nicole took over the business to escape an emotionally abusive relationship. After packing up her car, leaving Sydney, and bringing her four children to start a new life on the coast, Nicole would face years of battling custody for two of her children. She privately managed the emotional toll, navigating through difficult years before finding the support she needed.

With the help of her now-fiancé, Michael, her family, and the Domestic Violence Unit in Gosford, Nicole’s tireless documentation and reports finally found their way to the right people, and things changed literally overnight.

Despite everything Nicole endured, her resilience and determination to create a safe, nurturing environment are what shine through in this conversation. She’s built an extraordinary business where people feel cared for the moment they walk in the door, with treatments inspired by her own desire to help others feel looked after.
