In this episode of Yeah The Gals I am joined by Founder and Director of JB Dance, Jessie Byrne.
JB dance, was something Jessie started back in 2009, originally in her local community hall.
At 19, full of passion and drive to create a space for dancers to feel support and empowered, she didn’t expect that over the next 16 years, there would now be 14 locations on the Central Coast and additional studios in Newcastle.
Having loved dance from a very young age and approaching the end of high school, Jessie was told that not only did she need to find a career that didn’t involve academics but that she would never make it as a professional dancer unless it was I quote ‘on a pole’
With total motivation prove she could do whatever she put her mind to, Jessie spent time overseas training to be a teacher, came back and kicked some bloody amazing goals.
Passionate is one of the many amazing words I’d use to describe this gal and it was an absolute pleasure to chat with her!

Boysober
Have you ever wondered what life might be like if you stopped worrying about being wanted, and focused on understanding what you actually want? That was the question Hope Woodard asked herself after a string of situationships inspired her to take a break from sex and dating. She went "boysober," a personal concept that sparked a global movement among women looking to prioritize themselves over men. Now, Hope is looking to expand the ways we explore our relationship to relationships. Taking a bold, unfiltered look into modern love, romance, and self-discovery, Boysober will dive into messy stories about dating, sex, love, friendship, and breaking generational patterns—all with humor, vulnerability, and a fresh perspective.
