In this episode of Yeah The Gals, I had two very funny, very energetic, and incredibly talented women, Tash & Nikki, join me in the studio.
If you live on the Central Coast, there’s no doubt you would have heard, seen, or read COASTIES Mag. Born in 2020 by the original boss girl founder, Amy Bissett, COASTIES Mag was created with the simple intention of #supportlocal.
But where do Tash & Nikki come in? Well, this dynamic duo have known each other for many years, working in the travel industry together and now as digital marketing specialists for Local Search.
Eighteen months ago, both Nikki & Tash saw COASTIES Mag was for sale, and although they both have slightly different versions of events, they both basically wound up at a St George Bank, transferring the funds to purchase this amazing mag. Having never owned a publication before—Nikki nine months pregnant, both working full-time for Local Search, and also both having other businesses—it was their gut that told them they needed to do it, and I think the Central Coast community is bloody glad they did!
It’s been a whirlwind 18 months. They have laughed, cried, faced a few challenges, but also had an incredible amount of successes. Most importantly to them, they have continued to grow the connection within the local community.
What a pleasure it was to chat with these girls! They have plenty more up their sleeve and are only just getting started!

Boysober
Have you ever wondered what life might be like if you stopped worrying about being wanted, and focused on understanding what you actually want? That was the question Hope Woodard asked herself after a string of situationships inspired her to take a break from sex and dating. She went "boysober," a personal concept that sparked a global movement among women looking to prioritize themselves over men. Now, Hope is looking to expand the ways we explore our relationship to relationships. Taking a bold, unfiltered look into modern love, romance, and self-discovery, Boysober will dive into messy stories about dating, sex, love, friendship, and breaking generational patterns—all with humor, vulnerability, and a fresh perspective.
