This is a deeply personal episode for me.
Earlier this year, one of my children got in trouble at school for being unkind to a classmate. I was surprised and I wasn’t quite sure what to say or do. I had that voice in my head whispering, “What did I do wrong?” and “How should I handle this?”
It took a pause - and a deep breath - for me to come back to my mindful parenting roots. The principles I’ve shared with so many others suddenly became my own compass again.
In this Parenting Path in Action episode, I’m sharing how I navigated that moment, step by step.
Because if you’ve ever felt that wave of panic after a call from school - or felt unsure how to help your child take responsibility without shame - I want you to know you’re not alone. And I want you to feel supported with the tools and confidence to respond with calm and connection.

Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today.
