Today we're going to be diving into the emotion code
by Dr Bradley Nelson, and thisis a book that reveals how our
body stores emotions.
He uses the language trappedemotions, but I just like to use
the language.
Stored emotion doesn't feel asheavy in the body, and in this

book he talks about how thisenergy, because it has been
stored in our bodies, how it canultimately affect a lot of
areas, if not every area,including money, in our life.
Quotes like money mindset right, you've been doing the rewiring
of your thoughts, but you don'tyet feel like that connection

in your body.
This might be because theenergy that you have within
hasn't yet been released, and soI just wanted to talk about
this book today, because this issomething that I do discuss
with my clients and it has beenextremely helpful for me, and I
think that you know when I saythis work like any type of

(01:13):
self-development work, right,but like we have to to take all
parts of us into consideration,right, like we have to the body,
the mind and the spirit, right.
So you do have to startchanging the way that you think
about money and the way youthink about your life and what
you feel like you're capable of,like you do have to change your
self-concept and your beliefabout yourself.

(01:34):
And also there's the body work,the energy work that I've
talked about before and then I'mgoing to talk about on this
episode, where we do have to tocare for the body.
Like there, there is energythere that a lot of us probably
still have from our childhoodbecause we weren't able to
express it, um, when we wereyounger.

(01:55):
And then we also have to.
I believe we, you know, likethere is something higher than
us, like the spirit side, and soare we connected to God spirit
source, are we believing insomething higher?
So you have to, you don't haveto, but you, I think, it's
important to take intoconsideration, like money,

(02:15):
mindset Isn't just our thoughts,it is all three parts right Our
body, our mind and our spirit.
So I want to offer you that, ifyou are ready to explore your
own money patterns more deeplyand I would encourage you as we,
what I do with my clients isvery slowly and you want to give

yourself the space to dive intothis sacred work, I would love

Okay, so let's talk about whatthe book is and how I feel, like
that it's helped me and we'llgo from there.

So the idea behind the emotioncode book is that what Dr Nelson
talks about is that the bodydoes store he calls it, like I
said, trapped emotions, rightFrom significant past
experiences where we weren'table to express it and, um, you
know.
So what we did instead, becausewe didn't feel safe to cry or

(03:20):
to let that anger out or toexpress the frustration that we
were feeling or whatever emotionit was at the time grief,
whatever.
Then what we did was werepressed it or we suppressed it
, and we did this from a placeof probably not very conscious.
We did this from a place of tokeep the connection with our
loved ones Dr Gabor Mate talksabout.

This is like trauma isn't theactual event that happened.
Trauma is the disconnectionfrom ourselves after the event.
Right, it's what we had to doto stay safe and to feel close
to our caregivers.
So, because we didn't feel safe, because we didn't feel like it
was okay to express ouremotions, we stuck them down and

(04:03):
the energy like I've said onnumerous podcasts, energy is
never created or destroyed, soit's got to go somewhere, and so
a lot of times it goes intosome organ in our body and
that's where it stays untilwe're ready to release it, and
so these trapped emotions cancontinue to cause these

(04:24):
repeating patterns that we have.
You know, if you think aboutoverspending or avoiding your
money or never feeling safe likeI've talked about this on
numerous times, like it'sactually in my podcast show
description or show notesdescription or whatever it is
you know, like I have said thatthere was never an amount of

(04:45):
money that I had that I feltsafe with and that might show up
amount of assets that you have.
It could be a dollar incomethat you're making every month,
like it's just going to show upin different ways for you.
But what that really like?
I always look at what isactually happening and then what
is the root cause underneaththat.
So he talks about the sciencebehind the emotional baggage.

(05:08):
He talks about how to useemotion code and like the
technique that he created tohelp you release the emotions
that may be sitting in certainorgans and he really dives in
and kind of shows you like thethought process behind muscle
testing and energy healing.
I don't know about you, but inthe beginning, when I was more

(05:31):
so on I don't know which brainit is right or left, but very
like logical and obviouslyanalytical, financial, all that
kind of stuff I wanted to knowthe science behind it.
And so he does go into that andhe does talk about how that
actually works.
For some of you, you might justbe able to just believe and
trust.
I'm definitely on that side now, but in the beginning I really

(05:52):
needed some of this, um,fact-based or science backed
information in order to help meunderstand it.
And so he talks about you know,the symptoms that you might be
experiencing.
He talks about like where thesetypes of emotions are typically
stored in the body or in theorgan.
And I think that it that thisis really important because what

(06:17):
I have noticed in myself andwith clients, because so many of
us I mean all of my clients arethis way.
We're so high, functioningright, we have accomplished so
much in our life and yet we havedone this from a survival state
.
We probably wouldn't say thatthat's how we have gotten to

(06:37):
where we are, because it's justso normal for us and we're so
used to feeling this way, butit's almost like once you move
out of that survival state, thatfight, flight, freeze, fawn
response, and you get into amore creation or relaxed or what
you know the parasympathetic isrest and digest like a more

(06:59):
relaxed state.
Then you have the hindsight andthe clarity to see like, oh
gosh, I was operating from sucha fight, flight, freeze response
, but we don't know it whilewe're in it, because it's just
our normal, it's just sofamiliar to us.
So I want to first and foremostsay give yourself all the love

(07:20):
and compassion because I trulythink that a lot of you are
around my age, you know forties,fifties, um, where we have
really had to push and and getto where we are from such a
stress response, and that thereis another way to live life and
to generate money and to enjoyyour money.

(07:42):
And so this book, I think, isyou know, I always encourage
everyone to do their ownresearch get the book, read the
book, see what feels good to you, take what resonates, leave the
rest Like.
Don't take my recommendation aslike the end.
All be all like.
Do your own research.
But for me, what I found is itwas a way that you know I could

(08:02):
bypass the mind and just getinto the body and just do some
releasing that didn't have to gothrough the mind.
So even if you don't do thefull technique, you know the
awareness alone that yournervous system is carrying these
old imprints can bring, I think, can give you, allow you to
have so much compassion andclarity and love for yourself.

(08:25):
You know like it's not likewe're intentionally trying to do
this, we're not trying to makeour money.
Mindset shifts hard onourselves, right.
There is some underlying thingssometimes with some of us that
we actually need to take care of, and when I say that I mean
like to love on and to give somesupport in other ways besides.
You know the talk, therapy andthe coaching and things of that

(08:48):
sort.
So I would recommend, if itresonates with you, see how it
feels in your body, but goingand seeing a practitioner first
to kind of teach you thetechnique, to show you how it
works and see how that feels andthen start to use it on
yourself.
And he talks Dr Nelson talksabout this in the book that you

(09:10):
can totally do this by yourself.
So if it resonates, read thebook, find out what feels good
for you and then let your bodylead versus thinking you have to
do it a certain way.
I really, truly believe likewe're not broken, we are
perfectly whole and worthy andamazing and abundant, and just
these incredible beings with oursouls walking on this earth,

(09:33):
and that there's nothing wrongwith you, why you might continue
Like.
I remember it was back in 2021and I remember crying in the bed
and telling my husband like Ijust don't understand why I keep
having this money thing come up, and that was when I really
started to get into the body,because the money mindset just
the sheer, like watching mythoughts, thinking new thoughts

(09:56):
wasn't cutting it.
And so I just want each of youto know that, like there, I know
the self-development worldreally talks about our mindset
and and I do believe that thatthere is a place for that and
there is also a place for ourbody and our spirit, and are we
taking care of all three ofthose?
And so you know there might bestored experiences that you have

(10:17):
that your body is stillcarrying right, and when you
release them, you free up thatenergy and you get to experience
life in a much calmer, freerstate.

yourself, you know, so that youcan show up for all of you today
and in the future, and also foryour children.

You know I say that a lot oftimes that this work is
generational work that we'redoing, and it works both ways.
It goes down when we make thesechanges and it goes up the line
too, and so you get to rewriteyour story with your children,
you know, and your grandchildren.
