Hello, lovely listeners, and welcome to Zero
Waste Imperfectly, the show thattalks about all things zero
waste with kids.
I'm your host, sheila, and I amthe mother of three and a
sustainable grocery store owner, and today I wanted to talk to
you about one of the productsthat we have in our store.
The brand is called Green Llamaand most likely, if you haven't
been to a refill store, youhave not heard of Green Llama,

(00:21):
but it is a company that's basedin Tennessee.
It's a husband and wife teamand they make cleaning product
refills, and I know if you go toa traditional grocery store,
you have seen refills, but theytypically come in a bottle.
So you take a bottle, you buy abottle to refill a bottle, and
so you are paying for thepackaging again.

(00:41):
You're paying for the waterthat's used in the product and
it's not that eco-friendly and, chances are, the product itself
is not all that clean either.
And this is why we absolutelylove green llama.
First off, because it's made inthe us and it's eco-friendly,
so it tablets.
There's three varieties rightnow there's a bathroom cleaner,

(01:02):
there's an all-purpose cleanerand a glass and mirror cleaner.
And you have to picture theycome in little packets that are
about two inches, maybe threeinches, tall and an inch wide,
and they have.
Some of them have two tabletsin there and some have one
tablet.
And all you do is you take abottle that you already own, a
spray bottle, you add water toit 16 ounces and then you drop
in these tablets and you waitfor them to dissolve.

(01:22):
And then you drop in thesetablets and you wait for them to
dissolve and then you have yourcleaning product, which is
awesome because the packagingthat it comes in is fully
compostable.
They're ewg friendly products, which means they're safe for you
and for the planet.
They smell amazing becausethey're made with essential oils
, not artificial fragrances.
And the ingredients I'm tellingyou you will love it.

(01:45):
So there are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven
ingredients.
So I'm looking at the lavenderbathroom cleaner.
So it's sodium cocosulfate, citric acid, sodium carbonate,
sorbitol, sodium benzoate, lavender and rosemary essential
oils.
That is it, and they are all onewg as as safe products.
I mean, what's what?
What could you possibly ask forthan this?

(02:07):
They're amazing.
If you have some time, I'd lovefor you to go on Green Llama's
website to learn more abouttheir company.
Go on their Facebook andInstagram.
They do amazing things.
They're spray bottles.
Now.
They're using all kinds ofrecycled products, so they're
using turbine blades to actuallymake new spray bottles.
It's really incredible whatthey're doing.
So check it out, because if youwant to go to a clean cleaning

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
