Speaker 1 (00:00):
But they're gonna win us up to thirty four miles
an hour, only getting up to seventy three. It is
sixty eight right now. Doing something tomorrow night at seven
o'clock on my own Instagram, which is Johnny Magic eleven.
I'm gonna have the principal from Saddler Elementary and we're
going to talk about some of the things that they
need at their school. I've taken them on with my
program Central Florida Together we can, and she was telling

(00:22):
me about how the kids play soccer and they don't
even have nets, and I said, well, how do they
know when the scores? They just go back and forth?
And I'm like, that just broke my heart. So I'm
gonna have her on tomorrow night to talk about her
school and some things that we can do. And if
you have access to any of the things that we're
talking about, then go ahead and donate it, and let's
go ahead and get them taken care of and then
we'll take on another school and another one. But tomorrow

(00:43):
seven o'clock Johnny Magic eleven. That is my Instagram. If
you want to go ahead, and you know, make sign
me up now so you'll be ready tomorrow night.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
We're gonna do that.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
We're gonna talk to her because I think Central Florida together,
we can do anything.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
We do it together.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
And that's one thing I wanted to do is pull
the community together to just help this school. And they're
great people, the great principal, the teachers, they'll love those
students and let's see what we can do. And it
just broke my heart that I'm like, I just like
to say, so they play soccer, what are you There's
no they's run up and down. Yeah, they pretend. Come on,
we get we get nets. Come on, we can do that,

(01:16):
all right. Listen, I saw this over the weekend and
it happened. You know Lebron James, you know, if you
know who he is, and if you don't know sports,
Stephen A. Smith is probably the highest paid personality they
have on ESPN, and he was going in on Lebron's kid.
His kid's kids name is Bron and he plays for
the Lakers and they say that they, you know, drafted
him because Lebron wanted them to. Lebron's wanted the greatest

(01:36):
players to ever play the game. And he's not putting
up any numbers, so he's just going off saying, why.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
You do this to the kids. He's not ready.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
There's kids in the D League that want that chance,
but you're the kid is taking that chance from those kids.
Why you're doing that to them? Why you're doing this
to your family? I mean, Steve and A went off.
So they're playing the game and Lebron sees them right
in his face and alippery to say, hey, man, don't
talk about my kid like that. You know pretty much
it will keep my kids name out of your mouth,

(02:06):
you know. And you could tell it was uncomfortable, and
stephen A was like okay. So Steve and A got
back on the show on Friday and say, hey, Lebron
came to me not as a basketball basketball player, but
it's a father and I respect that, but I wish
it would have gone down like that. Oh by his agent, Nos,
my agent, we could have talked yut.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
But the thing is that he went straight to him, yes,
the agent.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah, he's right because it was public.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
I mean, everybody saw and people were recording it, so
it went viral and he wasn't even going to mention
it until they went viral.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Went viral, and he did, and he's like, man, I
feel sad because I like Lebron, but he did.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
I heard that did you hit? An interviewings he went
hard on the kid.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
You know, he and I get it. Hey, Lebron's one
of the best players in the world. He plays with
the Lakers. He wants his kid. He wanted to be
the first father and son to play. They did do that.
Blah blah blah. He's earned to me, he earned that right.
But there's kids who are listening right now who play
in the d League because we have one here, and
they're like, hey, when I get my chance. I've been
down here balling for years and my dad is not
NBA player. So I understand both sides of it. But

(03:07):
my thing is this. You don't talk about somebody's kids.
I tell that, or I say that on the air.
You don't mess with somebody's children. They will come at you.
There're people in jail right now because somebody messing with
somebody's kid, and an jail I'm gonna eat my time.
I'm gonna eat my time. You know, what, what do
you do this person? You know did this to my kid.
I've seen when I was a little, when I was younger,

(03:29):
I saw my mom go after somebody because my brother
did something. He he his bike or something he put
in somebody else's yard. And this person complained and my
mom said, they did what And she told me she
called me this, that and the other. And my mom said,
come on, I'm a gold cut. Something about to happen. Yes, listen,
I'm Tony's mom. Yes, listen, my son is not in

(03:50):
the streets. He ain't robbing nobody. He's still nobody. He's
had his bike. If you had the problems like emn,
and I can tell by the person. You can tell
when somebody's crazy because the other person. I was like,
you ya, you're talking to yeah a minute ago, but
now they put the air out to Jad like all right,
if you got a problem with.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
My children, don't talk to my kid.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
You talked on me.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
I was like, what's happening here?

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Yeah, I'm scared. I'm scared for that day.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
I know, Yeah, I know, I know. And I've heard this.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
I thought about Ray, Ray, don't play when it comes
to the children.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Well, you will be bailing me out.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Somebody saying the other day, You're like, just wait for
one of these parents to talk.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
About my kid when they're playing.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
I can't.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
But it's like, what if it comes down to like
the sportsmanship, what if like the kid was in the
wrong because of the sportsmanship like which I mean, I'm.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Like realistic about, like you know what to blow up on.
But if it's just like, yeah, attacking my child.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
And that's what what Smith was basically doing. He was
just talking about stats and numbers and the results of
the littlebron.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Kind of personally like what you doing to your family?

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:57):
You know what, he you know that kids mentally ain't
for this. You know you're destroying And he said family,
And I'm like, and I think that's what he crossed
the line. No longer you're talking about basketball. You brought
my family. And he said, don't talk about my family.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Wow. Now the reason hearing about your mom?

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Never met her, but I found out I would assume
your mom is one of those again your face, if
you mess with the.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Children, Yes, And she's one of those where if it
happens where like you know someone you know, lack of
a better term, attack does she'll straighten it out. But
after all that mess is done, when we all go home,
she'll sit all of us down and be like, you
know you were in the wrong for it too, Like
I can't think of any particular moment, but my mom
raised all of us.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
On the streets. I got your back, but in here don't. Yeah,
the real is going to.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Learn this is where you made a mistake. Now, you
shouldn't have done that, get me wrong, and mamma got
a little hard, But don't you I get that. I
want to find out when did you have to step
to somebody for messing with your kids? You don't mess
with people's children, You just don't do it. And as
parents driving it kids right now, look at the kids.
Don't nobody messing with my baby, not at all. Four

looking for how today of seventy three?

Speaker 2 (06:32):
All right, Lebron said, hey, man.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
You can talk about sports, you can talk about basketball,
but don't talk about my family. He's like, and he
you can tell I don't mind. I'm ready to lose it.
All they say, mess around and find out, but they
say it kind of a little bit stronger than that.
I want to find out. When did you have to
step up because somebody said or did something to your kid?
Valeriees Moro calla.

Speaker 6 (06:50):
Good morning, Hi, good morning guys, Good.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Morning to you. All right, So what happened?

Speaker 6 (06:56):
Okay, so my coworker and I we have scheduled days off. Well,
this happened kind of at the end of October. My
daughter was in the hospital for about a week. She
got discharge on a Saturday, and I told her, if
the doctor has availability appointment on Monday, I'm gonna take it,

(07:18):
even though it's your day off. She then proceeded, mind you,
she doesn't have kids. She then proceeded and cussed my
daughter out, saying that I don't care about blank your
daughter's health. She can blank herself.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
No.

Speaker 6 (07:38):
Yes, And it took every ounce of me not to
hair just talking about it, I'm trembling.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Were you caught up and be like, oh I still
feel that energy?

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Wow?

Speaker 6 (07:52):
I would have to go up to my manager's tell
them what's up. And I went to the manager.

Speaker 7 (07:56):
That have kids, so you know he gets it.

Speaker 6 (08:00):
Unfortunately, she's still there.

Speaker 7 (08:02):
I can't wait till she would be like.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Are you going through something?

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Because you know, you never know, because I need to
know before I take my next step if you're dealing
with something, Because if you're dealing with something, I understand,
but that wasn't the right way if you're find it's
about to go down in here.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Has she ever apologized or have you ever brought it
up again?

Speaker 6 (08:20):
No, we have not.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
She has never apologized.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
We haven't brought it up again. She's just the type
of person that is fake.

Speaker 7 (08:29):
Like she acts happy or.

Speaker 6 (08:32):
You know, normal, but it's kind of fake.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Listen, it's one thing, Valerie to say it, I mean
to think it.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
It's another to say it.

Speaker 7 (08:40):
She said it.

Speaker 6 (08:41):
She had no problem saying it.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Yeah, and listen, Valerie, in my eyes, you don't even
need to talk about this person. Your character speaks for itself.
For you to not throw hands girls.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
I do not care about my character at that about
my character.

Speaker 8 (08:59):
Right.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
He's a very sweet, beautiful person. She's a beautiful soul.
But Ray has a switch. There's about three or four
things that can hit that switch. If you hit that
switch with Ray. She don't give a damn about anything.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Yeah, Black, And you don't care about my child, talatable,
I don't care about your house?

Speaker 2 (09:16):
You up all right? Right?

Speaker 6 (09:21):
Right?

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Valor? Ray just became you great?

Speaker 1 (09:24):
That didn't happen to you, Valory, Yes, but no.

Speaker 7 (09:31):
I completely agree, blocked out a little bit.

Speaker 9 (09:33):
I feel bad.

Speaker 6 (09:37):
I had to step out to get in a golf
cart and start good.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
For you, Good for you. That's how you That's how
you handle it. That's how you handled value. Thank you
for sharing that and working Ray up. I appreciate that
you have a beautiful Thank you for sharing. No, she
she handled that extremely well, he did. That's I'm touching
the wrong over here, like I'm new all right from
like Mary Regina good more, good morning. When did you

(10:02):
have to accept to somebody saying something.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Of your kid?

Speaker 7 (10:05):
Well, I got a sam with Ray. Are you looking
for another job?

Speaker 9 (10:09):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (10:14):
Well, so I was. We were at a public library.
They were doing some like animal presentation for the kids. Okay,
they they it was jam packed. Everyone wanted to do it,
so they were like, everyone needs to let their kids in.
No adults for like let because yeah, well my twelve
year olds walking in with my younger kids trying to like,

(10:35):
you know, get in there. This lady puts her hand
on my kid. He's tall, he's like five eleven. Okay,
so she puts her hand on him and she pulls
him and she's like, they said only kids, and he's
looking like, what the heck? I told that. I looked
at her.

Speaker 9 (10:51):
And I was like, you better.

Speaker 7 (10:52):
Put get your hand off my kid if you unless
you want to lose that hand. And she looked at
me and she's like, this is for real kids. He's
not a kid. You're lying. And I'm like, and he's
looking at me, and I'm like, sweetie, they'll enjoy it,
they'll have fun. I'll take care of this. Yeah. I
was like, don't you dare put your hand on my kid.

(11:14):
And I was like, I don't need to explain anything.
He's a kid. Nowhere on this does it say it's
for little ones. Yeah, And then I'm petty the lady
library lady, and I was like, this lady's putting her
hands on kids over here.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Here's the funny thing about that is that I hear
you and anybody listening put themselves in that situation. Me,
my voice would have changed to something like this, get
your hand on my child, get your hand up, get
your hands off my child. That alone, go. Let you
know your next step. Don't be everything. Excuse me, get

(11:55):
your hands off. No, I ain't gonna say nothing, just
get at that point, take your hand off my kid.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Back up.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
You and I don't have to have dialogue. I didn't
threaten you. I just said, take your hand off my child,
that's all.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Wow.

Speaker 7 (12:15):
I'm quite lucky that I couldn't reach her to yes,
and I'm tall enough, And I was like, don't.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
You thank you?

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Thank you for sharing it. Here's my thing. I've heard
people say that, admit that. I don't think I'm petty.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Ray, are you patty?

Speaker 3 (12:35):
I can be.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
I can can be too. Yeah, I want petty. I'm like,
do you admit that? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (12:44):
Somebody said a teacher recorded my child crying in front
of her class, and my kid came to the office embarrassed,
telling me the story. And she works at the school,
she took her badge, took her badge off, went directly
to administration and told them they better handle it. Yeah,
but she said it like that, you better handle this.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Yes, handle this.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
She by saying that she's saying, if you don't handle this,
I to handle this.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
So y'all need to handle this. That's all she had
to say because they understood what was going on. Hey,
if I give you any word advice, y'all don't put
your hands. I don't mess with somebody else's kids. Celebrit
news coming up righty, what's going on?

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Lady gag got killed it on ES and l So
we're going to talk about it.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Coming up three minute. That whether that we're talking about
earlier starting to hit us now and it's going to
go until later on this afternoon. It's going to clear up.
I asked no Naris to look at what are they
saying about this tornado warner.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
Yeah, so I'm looking at it right now. It says
there's tornado warning for southern Sumter County. There's also in
the northern Pasco County up in west and central Florida.
And then this is going to be going on up
until nine am.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Now the matter of fact that my kid is a
weather you know, he knows all this stuff. Yeah, what
a warning means. It doesn't mean that a tornado has
been sighted. It just means that the weather is favorable
for one to break out at any time.

Speaker 8 (13:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
Literally, as a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located eight miles of mascot.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
Mascot yeh mascott. Yeah, yeah, moving about thirty five miles
an hour.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
See, I got to text my kid now. You know
you ain't supposed to have that phone on in school.
I know you're tracking some weather. Don't do that. That's
his passion. But yeah, so if you're those areas, we'll
keep you updated every time we go on. But those
badstorms that we were talking about that we're coming our way,
are coming our way right now. All right, we're talking
about family businesses and Ray you were mentioning what if

(14:30):
you inherited it or if you had one, what would
it be?

Speaker 3 (14:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (14:33):
So I was just watching a running point that show
with Keate Hudson point and she, you know, was basically
handed over the business. She was in the business growing up,
but then she just became the president.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
And that's that's a show this on Netflix starring Kate Hudson.
If you haven't seen, it's pretty good, like thirty minute segments. Yeah,
but it's about how she took over an NBA team
from the family. Yeah, that's pretty cool. But she she
watched it the whole time, and now she had an
opportunity to do it. So what would your family be.

Speaker 5 (15:01):
My family used to have a business in New York.
It was a building supply company. So they just had
like all these building supplies that they would like distribute
to like major construction.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Companies and all that stuff.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
So I feel like that would have been the company
that would be in it to me because it was
my grandpa's and my dad's and then you know, so
I never moved down here and kind of sold it
and got rid of it. Wow.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
This Hi, this is Ray. Can I take your order? Yeah?
You need how many eight inch pipe wrenches? And yeah?

Speaker 5 (15:32):
I mean a lesbian working for a construction company makes sense?

Speaker 1 (15:35):
Okay, we just celebrated International Woman's Day and I saw
a photo of a bunch of women in construction working, like, yes,
we do this damn thing. Yeah, so congratulations for me. Now,
my dad was into like construction, but he would never
teach me. Like I would go with him and he
would let me like carry buckets. But I'm like, Dad,
why don't you show me how to do it? He goes, no,
because you would use this as a fallback, he says, son,

(15:59):
I always he said, it's easy to push a shovel,
push your pencil than a shovel, and I don't ever
want you to do this kind of work because it's hard.
And I'm like, really, Dad, He's like yeah, he said,
you will depend on this if I teach you how
to do this, this will be your fallback plan. And
I don't want He said, I come home dirty every night,
and I don't want that for you. So he never
taught me. He want have taught me. Now my sons

(16:21):
would have been radio, but I won't. He knows how
to open and close a break, but I won't teach
him because this is a hard industry, man, and.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
It's hard it is, and it's a lot. It is
a lot, and fund like, you don't want to put
that pressure on him, like Brian looking at this, Brian
and his kid would he looked at it. Pride, that's pride,
that's my son is doing this job, and I admire that.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Mine.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
I'm like, I know what I had to go through
to get here, and it's a lot of luck because
at any time they can do cutbacks because we have
a company that's right across the street and they're cutting.
You know, we had hours and they're cutting and it's
just any Meeni miney mole. You know, I don't, I don't.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
I feel like you're some would do great in this
kind of platform. But obviously with his gift of the weather, Yeah, yeah,
he would crush that.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Clo and break like the best up.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
I taught him that when he was four, and then
I was like, nah, I'm gonna stop because it's like
I'm it's just different. Yeah, it's different. The reason why
would you be?

Speaker 4 (17:17):
I mean, honestly, I think the reality of everything is
real estate. Because my mom, she and my dad bought
their the first property when we like were really adjusting
ourselves here in like South Florida, and then like growing up,
my mom she really took care of the house. It's
a duplex. She still owned it to this day for
over twenty years. It's where we grew up, and the

(17:38):
conversation just kind of grew into the whole. You know,
when I retire, I want you guys to have this house.

Speaker 9 (17:42):
Now.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
Don't get me wrong, it's it's kind of like beating down,
Like I don't want to say we live in the ghetto,
but it's not the prettiest. Yeah, but that house sits
on a lot of money. It's down to the land
and the fact that you got too merged together. But
then I bought my first house and I just got
that experience from my mom. Then my eldest sister bought
a house. My middle sisters thinking about doing it too.
So I think we're in the business of real estate.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Really, yeah, mind, And that's how you do it. And
I've done it once before with airbnb.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
Before I moved up here, I was running my airbnb
business because I wanted a house to take care for itself.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
And that just opened a whole new door for me.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
I mean, I genuinely think I opened that conversation with
my family to be like, we should do this again.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, it's all about location.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
I want to find out from you if you if
your kids was in the family business, what would it be.
And if you are in the family business, tell us
how it works at one point, you know, it's yours
growing up. You had to work to get to that point.
And what is the family business? We'll give you some
love four oh seven now one nine one o six
seven eight seven seven now one nine one o six seven.
The Excel mobile for texting is four one o six

(18:45):
seven and we talk it to live streamers and on
social media. Family business, what would yours be? And if
you're in the family business, tell us how you got
into it and what do you do? Hit us up
now on Johnny South. It might be a sound of rotation.
Just be careful if you're out there driving. It's headed
this way. We've been talking about it all morning and uh,
something may be heading our way. So right now there

(19:06):
is a warning and effect. And we'll keep keep you
updated as much as we know because we got to
we have to TV on right now. So whatever we
find out we can we can share with you. But
there is something. Weather's about to get really bad out
there if you are out on the road.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
All right.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
We're talking about family businesses and if you had one,
what would yours be? Now, what do y'all think is
the biggest family business uh out there? That started small?
But now it's major. This is easy. I bet y'all
won't get No, I'm talking about the name, the name
of the family. This is easy. But it's so easy
that if once I tell you can be.

Speaker 2 (19:37):

are you in the family business.

Speaker 8 (20:05):
My family business would be fire protection.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Okay, and why is that?

Speaker 8 (20:10):
Well, my whole family has been in fire protection. We
do fire sprinklers, firewarms, just everything that's in the buildings
for the firefighters that he's safe while they're on the outside.
I learned it from my dad and uncles. He learned
it from his dad and uncles. But I agree with
your dad. I would not pass it down to my children.
I mean, I show them here and there, they go

(20:31):
and make some jobs, and I teach them a little
bit of stuff. But I want them to pursue themselves, man.
I want them to be them and to really encourage
what they want to do. You know.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Yeah, yeah, that's and that's how my dad was thinking.
His thing was like, listen, son, what I do is hard,
and it is hard. I mean, you know he was.
I mean, if it's thirty degrees and he had to
work outside, he was outside in thirty degrees and he
just didn't want that for us exactly. He just didn't
want to teach you there. So you can relate.

it for for forty five years. My mom started an
insurance agency in nineteen seventy four.

insurance business, a family business, you're getting paid.

Speaker 9 (22:11):

have a job. Yeah, you always like insurance, but you'll
always have a job.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
You'll always have a job. She is correct. Now you're
gonna hand that down to your kids? Or how's that
gonna work.
