(00:26):
I can't believe someone's right here.
It's crazy to me because time has flown by so quickly in 2025.
Well, maybe because of all the crazy things happening in the
world or the show being super consistent.
I have no idea. But already realizing where we
(00:49):
are in the calendar just blows my mind.
But you're here and I like to welcome you guys because this is
an episode where I start my break for the summer and from
now on I will have sporadic episodes, but more info on that
later. We'll get to all the cool stuff
(01:09):
plus a cool announcement later on in this episode of some
interesting things happening, but if you are here, make sure
you're subscribed to the show. Whatever platform you're
listening helps a bunch. If you do have time, please rate
it and check out all the music series episodes that feature
artists and some commentary episodes.
(01:29):
And it's just a fantastic year so far.
But it's not for break. And I've done this last three
years in a row where the summer is so sporadic I need a break.
So I don't post every Sunday forthe next few months.
And I build up for other things,as I will mention later on with
some stuff happening in the background.
(01:50):
I'm working on some new merch stuff and new other things.
But it's been a great year and we've done a lot of things on
this show. Won't me and all these awesome
artists. There's been tremendous amount
of music and there's been a lot of growth, but in this crazy
world today, hopefully this showhas been able to entertain you
(02:12):
for at least a small part of it.And hopefully it gave you a
break from all the craziness that's been out there the last
6-7 months. But let's talk about social
media for a second, because you have to as a creator.
Of course there's a lot of musicians.
(02:32):
Social media is huge and I I've taken off focus from it for a
little bit because it doesn't seem to matter.
Social media doesn't seem to matter because as there's been
one of my favorite platforms to post on Instagram, there's been
a massive unfollowing and we either people are bored or just
(02:56):
a conscience, not entertaining enough or just are there for me
to follow them. Well, it's taking me back a
little bit, which is fine, it's going to happen.
But it hasn't changed my listens.
There's been no impact to my study lessons.
So I guess what I'm learning from this is that I could have a
(03:21):
I could lose 100 people, people follow me in a week.
But I continue a steady growth and listen.
So maybe I should take a different approach to social
media. Maybe it's one of those learning
curves after so many years. You have to examine what works,
what doesn't. I thought you on some other
(03:42):
stuff very shortly. But this year outside of that,
listens have been great. We've reached new milestone in
countries 125.6 plus. Crazy.
So 10 extra countries this year just on its own local support
growth has been tremendous. I think April's local month
(04:05):
helped a lot. And of course, discovering great
local music and throwing on the playlist helps the reach of this
year, different apps, things like that has been fantastic.
And honestly, there's gonna be way more music coming up later
(04:27):
this year, so we'll get to that. There is with all that couple of
issues on address, but first just to let everybody know,
there is a show brand revamp coming.
It's time. I'm going to change up a couple
different things. I've been working on some
(04:48):
designs and different other stuff to make it make it make a
visual change to different things.
Not audio change, but a visual change to the show that's going
to come because it's getting, soit's getting very consistently
the same in presentation. So that'll be adjusted.
(05:10):
So if you're, um, artists take that approach once in a while
when they reinvent things. After a couple of years things
get stale, so the show will do the same.
No, I want to give some advice to artists that I always do.
(05:31):
If you're thinking of being on it, if you wanna come to the
show and be on it, I'm going to help you because what makes my
life harder is answering questions that would be answered
if you were just listening to the show.
Take a peek at the show. It answers a lot of questions.
(05:52):
You have to listen every episode.
Search out what I've posted about.
Check it out. There was a group of episodes
this this year, three in a row, about helping in an artist close
into those. There isn't enough time to do
(06:16):
what needs to be done. Just isn't.
I'm at the mercy of time. I'm very limited on a monthly
basis of what I can do. Nice.
Sometimes I squeeze in 20 interviews, sometimes I will.
Most of them I squeeze in none. It's very scheduled dependent on
my schedule varies consistently.I think consistent is the
(06:37):
inconsistency of my schedule of where I can provide.
But I am out here after I don't almost six years of being
putting episodes out every Sunday.
That's why I have 380 plus out there.
I've survived fake people scamming musicians, an artist
(06:57):
for their own benefit and reached.
I've survived other podcasts. I've survived so many different
things because of consistency and support and I see this stuff
happening on X but even more nowon threads, which I'm trying to
avoid as much as I can because it doesn't do much.
All it does is support fake people.
(07:20):
Threads does not seem to want tosupport real supporters of the
artist and the music because I see these music influences,
influencers asking for artists to drop their links and connect.
People don't realize they're getting anything from this.
(07:41):
This is just helping the scammer.
And then there's so many scammers calling themselves
music influencers and music supporters and business people
and all it takes is a second to look at their profile and
realize that it's a scam. They don't help actual artists.
(08:01):
They claim to want to listen, add to their playlist and
whatever. Look at their profile.
They're promoting themselves every second they get.
Not even didn't even promote their show they claimed to have.
It's time to not waste your time, and I've mentioned this
before because it goes the same for artists.
You only have a limited time. Don't just spam your links, go
(08:26):
look where you're sending it. You're just helping them grow.
The more they grow, the more they scam people.
Look at pages like mine where it's all about helping artists,
consistently sharing playlists, consistently promoting the
artists that are on the show playing their music.
(08:49):
That's where you need to look for and there isn't that many
people like this out there. There really isn't, and This is
why this show is here. But I can't do it all by myself.
I really can't. That's why I need everyone
listening to like and subscribe and share this show as much as
(09:13):
you can. For anybody who wants to
discover independent music or some music commentary or other
commentary, share the show, sendit to someone.
Is it great music out there thateverybody gets to experience?
And we want to do that. The music series returns after
(09:35):
the summer once I figure out my schedule for them not be random
shows until that time of whatever.
There's some cool topics I want to address.
Maybe one or two episodes this summer will pop up after this
one. I'm trying to find time to
continue on YouTube and rumble with the entertainment news.
(09:55):
There's so much to unpack, but there's it's been 3 months and I
haven't had time. I really haven't had time
working on some things that I can't spoil.
I do have other podcasts that I do that I'm trying to make time
for also. And of course, try to enjoy
summer in a break and maybe you have a vacation, who knows.
(10:17):
I don't know, I have no idea. Again, schedule is crazy, but
I'm staying true to this show and we're going to get through
all of it and keep sharing fantastic music from around the
world because nothing better than updating your playlist to
(10:38):
songs and refreshing your playlist with fantastic music.
And there's over 240 tracks on the playlist right now.
Boston music, all genres love getting great feedback about it
because the variety of it. You can go from one genre to
another and never double back inlike 15 minutes of listening
(11:00):
just because it varies so much. So your support is key.
I think you're for listening this much to me, babbling about
stuff, but it's just an update what's happening this summer and
later on in the near future, andI hope to find everybody's
support for these artists continuously.
(11:22):
I'm playing all this music all summer, let's do this again soon
and I want to thank you for all for listening.
