Speaker 1 (00:00):
What TV show did you watch all the way through
already on Netflix.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I believe it's the Eddie Murphy documentary.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
It It basically has Eddie Murphy in his house, which
is the most amazing, incredible, most ginormous house. I think
I've ever seen the bubble.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Hill a bubble hill, because that's place called bubble Hill.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
I think so. I mean, I watched Selling Sunset, I
watched Selling the OC. This house is it tops all
of them. It's insane, Like his roof is literally electric,
so he could open and close his roof when he
wants to feel like he's outside in the inside anyway.
So it basically goes over Eddie Murphy in his career
and he's talking about, you know, just growing up in

(00:40):
the business and being in the business so long and
really paving the way for a lot of black celebrities,
Like he was a black comedian, but then he was
also an actor and a singer, and he did so
many things and it really caused like a total ripple
effect in the industry. And it's really cool to see
all the celebrities that are on the show that have
worked with him in the past and that have admired him.

(01:01):
From Afar, like you know, like Kevin Hard, Dave Chappelle,
Pete Davidson's in it and some other huge stars. And
he talks about his feud, his long feud with SNL
and why he was feuding with SNL. It was really fascinating.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
I can't wait to watch it.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
I want to watch it too. Does it get into
like his daughter because I think his daughter just married
Martin Lawrence's son. No, I'm like, what a weird like collab.
You have two of these iconic comedians and now their
kids are getting married.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
I would have loved to see that. That's really fun.
He does talk about his kids and how important they
were to him, Okay, but not specifically.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Did you get into we're talking about the show on
Peacock called All Her Fault, which is now going like
the world is starting to talk about it.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Yeah, everyone's obsessed with it. So yesterday I went home,
I spent twenty minutes on my TV trying to find
the Peacock app and then after twenty minutes, I finally
find it because it wasn't downloaded on my TV and
apparently I don't have a Peacock a gap, And I
was like, I could have sworn I watched a TV
show on Peacock before, so why don't I have the app?
So I still haven't had the chance to start watching it,
but I will get to it.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Now you have the app.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Now I haven't downloaded on the TV. Now, I just
got to find someone who has a Peacock account.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
So I have to pay. If it's like, what is
it like nine ninety nine and one or something like that,
that show's worth it just to watch the show and
then never renew the app again. Okay, but that show,
I think it's worth nine bucks.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yeah, it's so good for me, Like I have, we
have cable, so I didn't realize it was like I
just lugged in through my cable. Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Also, there's a show on Netflix that I am. I'm
on season three. It's really really good. It's called The Diplomat.
I got like two episodes left, and I'm telling you
it's a really good show. It's such a good show.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
I did start this morning. The new one that's number
one on Netflix. It's like Death by Lightning. Oh yeah,
hou'se not wait, that's the President one. Yeah, it's about
it's about Andrew Garfield, the guy who shot him and
I literally watched ten minute it ten minutes of it,
and after finishing all Her Fault, which is a really heavy,
serious show, I feel like this is also going to
be a really like serious show, and I was like,

(02:59):
I need to trash TV.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
So I started is so good. Hey listen, I'm gonna
go out there. I think it's better than selling Sunset.
The dramas. I think the houses are pretty. I think
the people are more dramatic. I'm a I'm a bigger
fan of the OC. The Cemetery Road on Apple TV
is fantastic. Episode four dropped yesterday.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I started watching that and Marines, a documentary on Netflix.
I started watching two days ago and it is amazing
and mad props through our military. The Marines makes you
want to join and become a marine, which is probably
what it's supposed to do. But it's put together by
Steven Spielberg too. That's wild to see that show. I
don't know if that it was Top ten a couple
days ago. I don't if it still is

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
