What is a Bonnie in Goo Morning?
Speaker 3 (00:19):

Speaker 4 (01:11):
Will say, yeah, I have a great day, bunny.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
People complain about styrofoam not being biodegradable. You just gonna
be patient four or five thousand years, No problem, right back.
I cannot stand the sound of styrophone. If she gets
near it, she's like, hey, guys, hey, what's going on
with your side hustle.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
I got into dog training about sixteen years ago.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Okay, well, so is that your only thing now or
do you do something else?
Speaker 3 (01:41):
No? No, so I own a barbershop over here in
Sun City, West that's my regular job. The dog training,
I just I had a dog back then that I
went through about three trainers and nobody could help me.
And I went through a couple of grand and it
just got frustrating. So I started learning myself. Honestly, it
was because of the dog whisper Oh yeah show yeah,
(02:05):
that started going and I paid a lot of attention
and I learned a lot from him. And my ex
wife she got me all his books and he had
like training CDs and her training DVD.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Is should to say, all right, so now you literally
can train other people's dogs.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah, yeah, just about sixteen years now. I specialize working
with the bad cases.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Really, maybe you can help us with love pop because
sometimes we get some of those.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
I would love to all right, so.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Gus, let's talk about the barbershop. What's the name of
the barbershop.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
The barbershop is called Mercado Barbershop.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Okay, is that your last name?
Speaker 3 (02:40):
It's in No, actually I did. That's the name it
was when I bought it. The name of the shopping
center is also Mercado, and I guess that's why they
decided it's all of that. I was going to change it,
but the old owner put one of those you know,
those like those thermal stickers all over the front window.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Yeah, what do you do about that?
Speaker 3 (02:59):
I'm not paying that much money.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
So if you find Mercardo barber Shop, they can find
you to the Disgusted Dog Trainer.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Sure, sure, I have a Facebook page and everything for
the dog training to the name of the company is
it's a Rough Life rough.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Spelled r U f F. That's great, that's great, thank you. Justin.
What's your side hustle? Good morning, Good morning, your side hustle? Justin? Yeah,
I make moonshine we've got a couple of those already.
That must be a competitive market right now.
Speaker 5 (03:38):
It's you know, I haven't met anyone else down here
that actually makes it, but I learned by watching the
show Moonshiners.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
So how's your moonshine taste?
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Well, I've been told that it tastes just like water.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
That's scary.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
It's extremely dangerous, and I call it devil's water because
it before you know it, you're running around the racetrack,
but you're standing still.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
What's the main ingredient in your moonshine?
Speaker 5 (04:13):
I use corn and rye, so I use that as
my base. But I have like six different flavors that
I make.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Out of it. All right, So do you want us
to plug your website? No that we can. We can't.
Why don't like we should? But I don't know why
if we can, I mean I don't want to you.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
It's legal to make it in Arizona, but it's illegal
to sell it.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
There you go, okay, all right? Justin thank you brother, Heather.
Good morning. What's your side hustle?
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Hi?
Speaker 6 (04:41):
I sell my son's football cards.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
They're just different pictures of him playing football.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
No like trading cards like professional athletes.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
He collected them and now you're selling them behind his back.
Speaker 6 (04:58):
No, no, he's aware of it. I told him, if
you want to keep collecting cards, he has his favorite quarterbacks,
you have to let some go. And I've made close
to like ten thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Oh stoppish? Does he get a cut of them? It's
like his cards.
Speaker 6 (05:17):
Well, I'll buy him more boxes, but.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
I would want a little bit of my money for
my car.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
What card got you the most money?
Speaker 6 (05:32):
Last year? We had a C. J. Stroud sell for
around four k.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
What is it a rookie card or something?
Speaker 6 (05:40):
Uh huh? It was a rookie card and it's called
a kaboom, so it's like a big card. And then
another big big ones are hard to get, which are
downtowns and I don't know what it is, but I
just get these lucky boxes and I'm pretty good at
I don't know. I'll pick like the back box or
(06:00):
there's a dent in a box. I get these like
weird feelings and it's been really fun.
Speaker 2 (06:05):

I used to work in mortgage loans, but.
Speaker 9 (06:43):
I think it right now, I've been pursuing it.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
If that's your only job, then I don't think it's
a side hustle.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
It'll started that way. It sounds like right, but it's
not right now. It's not like if you're literally making
a living, then it's not a side hustle, right.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
Because that's like a Yeah, it used to be a
side hustle, but I noticed that as I was doing
it as a side hustle, I wasn't putting too much
energy into my business.

Well, thank you very much, Sonny, Sarah. What's your side hustle?
Speaker 6 (07:11):

They're really cool. They have like rustic plural aesthetics and well,
I forgot where I was going book.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Like a like a paper journal like a book book.
Speaker 8 (07:30):
Yeah, so I started with physical journals because I love
paper and writing. I feel like it gives me some
serenity in my day. But I also create digital journals
as well well.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
So you tell them what to do, what vitamins to take,
what exercise to do, or they fill it in themselves.
Speaker 8 (07:49):
Yeah, they filled it in themselves. There is some.
Speaker 10 (07:52):
Guy structure to it, so like depending on who you are,
Like I have one gear towards my mom, so you
can recognize like things that you're doing really well, because
I think that can be really hard for moms. I
have a professional planner and well it's just like a
wellness journal.

I was like, oh my god, Hi Starla, what's your
side hustle?
Speaker 9 (08:57):
Right side hustle is I'm actually a professional mermaid, So
I do mermaid birthday parties for little kids and sometimes
at dive shops.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
That's awesome. That is awesome.
Speaker 9 (09:08):
So you have yep, I've got the full silicone tail
at the top, I wear a wig that matches the
color of the tail. And usually I will go to
people's houses that have a pool what they'll book me
through there. And then sometimes I've done it at like
community pools or even like Lifetime pool have gone there
to do a birthday party.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Okay wait wait okay, So so you go and you
put on the outfit and then you're in the pool
and then like everyone comes home and there's like a
mermaid in the pool.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Is that how you play it out? Well?
Speaker 9 (09:36):
Yeah, usually the party is already going on. So my
fiance will carry me in like a fish out of
the water, and he comes and sets me down by
the pool, and then I'll hang out for either an
hour or two, depending on how long they book me for,
and then he comes and takes the murmaid away back
to the ocean.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
That makes me want to have a party at my house.
Speaker 9 (09:55):
It is so fun. I did a really cool party
in Scottsdale, which wasn't a birthday part but it was
a giant mansion and they had like over two hundred
people just hanging out walking around. I got to swim
in their giant pool. It had a shark tank which
you could see all the way through the pool into
the I've heard it.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
I've got pictures. I've got pictures of this guy's house.
Speaker 9 (10:16):
Yeah, it's cool as house. I've gotten to see some
amazing places.

How do people get a hold of you, Starla?
Speaker 9 (10:30):
Either on Instagram under a Mermaid north Star or there's
a website called gig Salad that I booked a lot
of my party through.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Do you have more than like you have other mermaid friends?
Could be cool that had like three or probably three
of four.
Speaker 9 (10:41):
I have met a lot of different Mermaids here in Arizona.
Actually a lot of people do it. It's like a hobby,
and then a couple other people do it at birthday
parties as well. So we've kind of maintained this friendship
through the years and we'll get to go and hang
out and do like mermaid meet up sometimes it's really cool.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
I used to have an aquarium and I would shill on,
just veg out, look at my aquarium, you know, and
just right.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
If I can get like three mermaids come to my house,
so you get a bag of popcorn and washing.
Speaker 9 (11:09):
Right, Well, you can always book me. I'm available.
