Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Gary and Shannon and you're listening to KFI
AM six forty, the Gary and Shannon Show on demand
on the iHeartRadio app. There was pretty got to get
into this audio coming out of the Oval Office.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
I mean, this is explosive.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Well, what's funny is it started out pretty normal. It
started out relatively cordial as a matter of fact, where
President Trump was welcoming Vladimir Zelenski from Ukraine into the
White House today and I mean they're still there. They
are expected to hold the double podium standing news conference
in front of reporters in a few minutes, but they

(00:34):
earlier sat in the Oval Office and the big chairs
in front of the fireplace, and it did not go well.
And it kind of started out in some comments early
on in this news conference where they're talking about this
minerals deal. The United States and Ukraine have come to
a deal where the rare earth minerals that exist in Ukraine,

(00:55):
once they're mined and sold off, the United States is
going to get some of that money. Because of the
billions of dollars that we have been sending over there
for military aid. President Trump wants to make sure that
the American taxpayer is protected by getting some of that money.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
We see a really good will for this terminals for
US as very important.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
And I think he's talking about LNG terminals liquid natural
gas terminal.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Security of European continent. We have the biggest storage gas storage.
We have the biggest in Europe. Yes, it's yeah, and
we can use it.

Speaker 5 (01:28):
You just for l G use it. For gen we will.
It's going to change here.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
We can help EURE because Europe really helped. President Trump
said that they made less support, but they have our
friends and they are our very supportive part.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
That they really gave a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
And it's talking that's Zelenski saying the Europeans have given
a lot to Ukraine as well.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Spread they really they did, but they gave much less.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
No much less, no no, no, okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
All right, So that's the beginning right there. You could
hear Trump say, don't argue with me.

Speaker 5 (02:07):
Yeah, don't.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Fact that he did was not I mean in the
way you know you said it started off well, well,
I mean Trump was taking a shot from go saying
stuff like, oh, you dressed up today. He was already
trying to be the alpha in the room, right, He
was already trying to exude the I'm the dominant one here,
but I.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Mean, it did.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
It really did devolve into, you know, counting favors and
demanding gratitude.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
And it was just a bad look. Well just a
bad look.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
That's why I want to know what goes on between
that meeting and this news conference that's supposed to start
eight minutes ago. This was a deeper into this sit
down news conference that they did.

Speaker 7 (02:49):
The problem is, I've empowered you to be a tough guy,
and I don't think you'd be a tough guy without
the United States, and your people are very brave. But
you're either gonna make it deal or we're out. And
if we're out, you'll fight it out. I don't think
it's going to be pretty, but you'll fight it out.
But you don't have the cards. But once we signed

(03:10):
that deal, you're in a much better position.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
I mean, that was the That was the general tone,
which is you're being disrespectful. You have to be more thankful.
If you don't have us, you have nothing. I mean
the term you don't have the cards, he said. President
Trump said multiple times to Zelensky.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yeah, and it's also not a great look to have
Trump and jd Vance appearing to gang up. It looks
very mean girls that are like ganging up on Zelensky
in the Oval office in this live televised conversation.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
I so so that actually raised the question in my
mind because I can't can'cy they're trying to do. They're
replaying this tape because it was just incredible from the
White House, and I can't see who's sitting on the
couch with jd Vance. Jd Vance is off to the side,
but I can't tell if that's Marco Rubio, the Secretary
of State that's next to him or not. But but

(04:04):
jd Vance would start speaking and Trump would cut him
off in some of the instances. And I don't know
if there's if there's a even a little bit of
a power play between those two during something like this,
of course, but.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
It's it's it was. It was not a good look.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
You're there to bolster Trump, you're not there to outshine him.
And the moment that jd Vance started to make it
about him and Zelenski, Trump would cut him off.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
And it does appear I got it. I've got eyes.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
On the person sitting next to jd Vance at least
the top of their head. It does look like the
top of Marco Rubio's head.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
Let's do this.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
I wanted to play for you the AI stuff that
Conway did. Next segment. We're gonna We're gonna blow this
whole thing up. We'll actually do swamp Watch at ten twenty.
We'll do it in the next couple of minutes and
play some more of the tape from this meeting with
Zelenski and Trump. Unless they start the news conference, we
may have to we may have to jump into that
as well. But again, a very tense meeting so far
are between President Zelenski and President Trump.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
So also, let's not me let's not make light of
Zelensky going after jd Vance too, kind of fact checking
jd Vance.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
I mean, it's an.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Urination match all the way around. Yeah, the Oval Office
is full of urine right now.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Oh that's okay, that's one way to put it.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
We have many times covered the doom that is artificial
intelligence that is coming. It is mere moments away when
it comes to societal timelines, and all of our jobs
are at risk.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
You and I we're at risk. And how do I
know that? Last night?

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Conway played a an unreal version of you and I
promoting his show.

Speaker 5 (05:51):
Three days ago. Yeah, they did this.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Hey, it's Gary and Shannon and I have to admit.
The Tim Conway Junior Show is the gold standard. Okay,
now it almost sounds like I'm congested, doesn't it.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
And I don't know.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
I don't know where they got this. I don't know
how they did it. It scares me to my bones.
Hey it's Gary and Shannon and I have to admit.
The Tim Conway Junior Show is the gold standard. We're
just the warm up act.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Absolutely, Gary. If you think our show's good, wait till
you hear Tim's. He's the main event.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
So don't miss tomorrow's episode of the Tim Conway Junior
Show from seven to ten pm right here on.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
Wait, what so they screwed it up on purpose?

Speaker 3 (06:31):
That's terrifying because neither you nor I has ever said
anything like that. I mean, I guess we've said things
like that now, but we have never said that word.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
That is not us.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
That's not really my speaking pattern. But but yeah, the
voices alone are creepy as hell, right.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Because they're close enough exactly, And that's the worry. Like
I wonder if I were to play that for my
wife or my kids, if they would know that that
wasn't me.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
I will say when I heard that, I cringed so hard,
like I wanted to sink into my chair.

Speaker 5 (07:07):
It was so eerie. It's terrifying.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
I support it.

Speaker 8 (07:13):
Guys.

Speaker 5 (07:13):
Now they can make a sick If I don't want.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
To come in on a random Wednesday, I can just
call Ai Shannon be like, here, take the ball, take
the wheel.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
And she doesn't, and then she can just do the
whole show.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
She has nowhere near having an umbrella drink out by
in the desert or something.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
You can go all the way to the desert for
an umbrella drink.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
That's nice a time of year. This is pretty disgraceful.
This is this is awful.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
This constant talking over each other and demanding thanks and everything.
It's it's it's showmanship. It's it's for television ratings.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
It is awful.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
It is an awful exchange of No diplomacy is what
it is.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
President Trump hosting President Zelenski from Ukraine. In fact, let's
jump into an early edition to swamp.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
Wa'm a politician. Wich means I'm a cheat and a liar.
And when I'm not kissing babies. I'm stealing that lollipops here.

Speaker 7 (08:05):
We got The real problem is that our leaders are done.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
The other side never quits.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
So what I'm not going anywhere? So that now you
train the swap, I can imagine what can be and
be unburdened by what has been. You know, Americans have
always been gone at present. They're not stupid.

Speaker 9 (08:23):
A political plunder is what a politician actually tells the truth.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
Whether people voted for you were not.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Swamp watch, they're all counternoying. Uh, let's just jump into again.
They're playing this over and over again through the ABC
network and it is pretty crazy. I don't know if
they're going to even hold this news conference that's supposed
to take place because a big suv has parked outside

(08:48):
the doors of the White House and apparently Trump, in
a statement just a short time ago, said that Zelenski
is welcome or can come back when he is ready
for peace.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
Wow. Anyways, let's jump into again.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
This is the earlier meeting in the Oval Office between
President Trump and Presidents Alaska.

Speaker 8 (09:12):
Well, that's what I do. My whole life is deals.
I know pretty good, and I really I've known him for.

Speaker 10 (09:19):
A long time. I've dealt with him for a long time.
He had to suffer through the Russia hoax. You know, Russia, Russia,
Russia was a hoax that was all Biden. It was
nothing to do with him. So he had to suffer
through that, and he was able to do that.

Speaker 8 (09:34):
I think that he wants to make a deal and
he'd like to see it end. That's all I do.
That's what I do my whole life. That's what I
do is make deals. I'm in the middle of a mess,
because this is a real mess. It's a very dangerous one.
If this doesn't get solved now, it's not going to
get solved for a long time. So I hope we're
going to I hope we're going to get it solved.

(09:55):
In the back, please.

Speaker 11 (09:58):
Promise. Farmer cling repeatedly that has government believes and free
speech and his navigation censorship, but a specially he's government
to rescu people for memes and crimes and even more
words than is pressuring American companies to to sessure American.

Speaker 5 (10:13):
His honors to have.

Speaker 11 (10:14):
How can you be a reliable trust beligue partner When
he says those that are demonstrably false on.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
Such an important time.

Speaker 8 (10:20):
Well, we actually spoke to him about that yesterday and
we thought they took it very very much too far.
JD was very strong on it, so is I, so
is Marco.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
Again, that is from inside the Oval Office civil part.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
That's that's not even what's making headlines. That's like the
nice city party part.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
So let me read to you the truth social post
that the President just put out.

Speaker 5 (10:43):
This would have been.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Nine minutes ago that this hit truth social statement from
President Donald Trump.

Speaker 5 (10:50):
Quote.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
We had a very meaningful meeting in the White House today.
Much was learned that could never be understood without conversation.
Under such fire and pressure, what comes out through emotion.
And I have determined that President Zelenski is not ready
for peace if America is involved, because he feels our
involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations. I don't

(11:12):
want advantage. I want peace. He disrespected the United States
of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come
back when he is ready for peace.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Okay, do we have the audio of Trump yelling at him,
because that's the stuff that's making the headline.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
Uh, that is h Yeah, that's.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
The stuff that you need to hear, because if we
hid Biden being unhinged for a year and a half,
this is up there. I mean, Trump talking like this,
saying and JD vancing. Have you even said thank you once?
Have you even said thank you since you sat down?
Like it's just it's it's school yard stuff in the
Oval Office. Like I understand that these conversations can get contentious.

(11:51):
We want this, we want you to sign this peace deal.
Ukraine's saying, well, we're a very proud company. We don't country,
we don't want that. I understand these conversations happen, but
it devolved a childlike back and forth, not just even
back and forth because Trump wouldn't let Zelenski.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Speak, and it was just it was something I've never
heard of before in the Oval office.

Speaker 5 (12:13):
Insane on twenty fourteen.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
So during a lot of years, I'm not speaking about
ju just Biden, but those times was Obama, then President Obama,
then President Trump, then President Biden, now the President Trump
and God bless now President Trump will stop him. But
during twenty fifteen, nobody stopped him. He just occupied and
took he killed people. You know what the contact twenty fifteen.

Speaker 6 (12:40):
Twenty fourteen, So how would he kills that here?

Speaker 4 (12:45):
Yeah, by the secondly right, yes, but during twenty fourteen
till twenty twenty two, yeah, what the situation the same
that people have been dying on the contact line. Nobody
stopped him. You know that we had can we say
with him a lot of conversation mabilateral conversation.

Speaker 5 (13:03):
And this is but.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
The whole you know, you weren't a tough guy till
I made you a tough guy thing.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
I mean, say what you.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Will about Zelensky, agree with him or not, but this
is somebody who has really put his I don't want
to say body on the line, but he's put his
body on the line. I mean, this is somebody who
has stood up for his country. And you can agree
to help them or not help them.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Ukraine.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
I mean I can be talk, I can have that
conversation all day. I don't stand firmly in either camp.
But the whole idea of you haven't even said thank you.
Wouln't be a tough guy if I wasn't here. It's
just it just sounds you know, you're better than that,
you're stronger than that. It just sounds like it's a
weak thing coming from a weak person, and that's.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Not who he is. It's just it's very odd.

Speaker 7 (13:49):
The problem is, I've empowered you to be a tough guy,
and I don't think you'd be a tough guy without
the United States. And your people are very brave. But
you either it to make a deal or we're out.
And if we're out, you'll fight it out. I don't
think it's going to be pretty, but you'll fight it out.
But you don't have the cards. But once we signed

(14:11):
that deal, you're in a much better position.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
According to media outlets, the news conference that was supposed
to take place between Presidents Lensky and Ukraine and President
Trump has been canceled officially after the Oval Office meeting
that took place this morning, where they were discussing, among
other things, the mineral rights deal that the United States.
And again, here's the thing, was that even signed. Did

(14:37):
they sign this deal then?

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Or I mean, I don't think so.

Speaker 5 (14:42):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
That was the thing he was here to Zelenski's here
because he's supposed to sign this deal with the United
States giving us some of the profits from rare earth
mineral sales to help make good some of the hundreds
of billions of dollars that we've sent over there militarily,
and j Evance pops in or he was sitting on
the couch next to President Trump, of course, but he

(15:05):
starts to go after Zelenski and say, hey, wait a minute,
you guys are you guys are the ones having problems
right now? You don't even have enough people to fight
in your military right now, and you're coming to us
uh and dictating the terms of an agreement.

Speaker 9 (15:18):
You should be thanking the president for trying to bring
it into this.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
Company's into Ukraine that you say, what problems we have?
I have been to come.

Speaker 9 (15:26):
I've actually I've actually watched and seen the stories, and
I know what happens is you bring people, you bring
them on.

Speaker 5 (15:33):
A propaganda tour.

Speaker 9 (15:34):
Mister President, are do you disagree that you've had problems
bringing people into your military help? And do you think
that it's respectful as to come to the Oval Office
of the United States of America and attack the administration
that is trying to prevent the destruction of your country?

Speaker 4 (15:49):
A lot of questions. Let's start from the Big Sure
Hills to wall During the war, everybody has problems, even you,
but you have nice ocean and don't feel now, but
you will feel it. Infusion.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
You don't know that I'm blessed.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
You're not blessed.

Speaker 6 (16:05):
You don't know. You gotta don't tell us what we're
gonna feel. We're trying to solve a problem. Don't tell
us what we're gonna feel. I'm not telling you because
you're in no position to dictate that. You're in no
position to dictate what we're gonna feel. We're gonna feel
very good, feel We're gonna feel very good and very
strong influenced.

Speaker 8 (16:25):
You're right now not in a very good position. You've
allowed yoursell to be in a very bad position. That's
to be right about the.

Speaker 5 (16:32):
Very beginning of the war.

Speaker 6 (16:34):
Not in a good position. You don't have the cards
right now with us. You start having right now. You
don't wear your plans, spread your players. You're gambling with
your lives and billions of people see you're gambling with
world War three. You're gambling with world War three. And
what you're doing is very disrespectful to the country.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
This country.

Speaker 6 (16:57):
It's back to you far more than a lot of
people said they should have.

Speaker 9 (17:01):
Have you said thank you once this time, No, in
this entire meeting that you said thank you went to
Pennsylvania and campaigned for the opposition in October for some
words of apociation for the United States of America and
the president who's trying to save your country.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Please. You're saying that if you will speak very loudly
about the war.

Speaker 5 (17:23):
He's not speaking.

Speaker 8 (17:25):
He's not speaking loudly.

Speaker 6 (17:26):
Your country is in big trouble. No, No, you've done
a lot of talking. Your country is in big trouble.
I know you're not winning.

Speaker 8 (17:34):
You're not winning this.

Speaker 6 (17:35):
You have a damn good chance of winning out. Okay,
because of the president.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
We're staying inawa country, staying strong. From the very beginning
of the war, we've been alone, and we are thankful.

Speaker 6 (17:45):
I said, thanks, you haven't been giving it. He gave you,
this stupid president, three hundred and fifty billion dollars.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
You will.

Speaker 6 (17:53):
We gave your military equipment. You and you met at Brave,
but they had to use our military one of you.
Guess if you didn't military equipment, you didn't have our
military equipment, this war would have been over in two weeks.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
In three days, I heard it from Putin in three days.
This is how maybe less in two weeks. Of course.

Speaker 8 (18:12):
Yeah, it's gonna be a very hard thing to do.
Business like this. Good tell you just.

Speaker 11 (18:16):
Say thank you.

Speaker 9 (18:18):
I said it, except for American except that there are
disagreements and let's go litigate those disagreements rather than trying
to fight it out in the American media when you're wrong.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
So U, I'm so cringey over jd Vance And you
know it's like and I'll catch help for this, and
I don't care. The thing is is like you can love,
you can love you. You have people in your life
that you love you. If you love Trump, then you
love Trump, right, But but you can also say to
people that you love in your life, hey, you're kind

(18:49):
of flew off the handle there. I mean, I can
say my brother and I have had these conversations like
kind of flew off the handle there. You know, like
it just when you're American and the d of America,
you do not have to protest so much.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Doth protest too much?

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Of course we're the superpower, especially in that room. You
don't need to talk about all we've done for you.
When Zelensky says things like you know, oh, when he
acts or you perceive him to act like he doesn't
understand how much he needs you. You can just give
him a look like, oh, bless your heart, you know,

(19:26):
but we mean to you and to your country. You
don't need to use the heavy bat, you know, and
hit him over the head with it.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
And it's an interesting tactic that both it seems like JD.
Vance and Zelensky were trying to use, which was I'm
going to be the more calm person here, and Zelensky
kind of fell into the chitter chatter, the arguing over
speaking over Trump to see who's louder.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
He Trump's not ever.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Going to back down from that that He's never going
to back down from that kind of a discussion. So
so then Zelenski kind of calms down and just says,
you know, very quietly, he tries to tone.

Speaker 5 (20:07):
It down and please please say that.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Breaks his voice down, He slows it down, He tries
to be a little bit quieter, and all of that.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
To do with children.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
Well, and then and then JD.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Vance, when things.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Get too hot like that, you've got to bring it
the temperature down.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
And then JD Advanced towards towards the end of.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
It in two weeks of course, he has they're.

Speaker 6 (20:28):
Going back and forth, say thank you, I said it,
except for America.

Speaker 9 (20:36):
He said that there are disagreements, and let's go litigate
those disagreements rather than trying to.

Speaker 5 (20:41):
Fight it out of the American media when you're wrong.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Now here's what I like, jd Vance And I've i've
I've given him credit where it's due. But jd Vance
had sit this one out. You've done nothing for these people,
literally nothing. You have done nothing. You demanding a thank
you is really rich. And sitting in the Oval office,
which you've been around for seven minutes, like, just be
in the room and be strong and silent, don't The

(21:07):
kissing of the ring of Trump's ring is just so apparent,
and it's just so over the top, and we get it.
And you want to back your guy, and that's what
you're doing by just being there. But you make yourself
sound silly when you're demanding thanks from somebody who's had
fifty thousand of his people wiped out in one day
or what have you.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Like you've been there for seven minutes, you don't get
the gravitas of demanding thanks from another world leader.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
Is it better that we saw this thing play out
in front of the TV cameras, Or would it have
been better if Trump and Zelensky had this argument in
behind closed doors, right, and then Zelensky gets up and
leaves the White House without having this news conference.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
Yes, yes, I don't think.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Well, listen, it's all so little when it comes to
what's at stake with Ukraine. It's all so very little
when you think about people actually living through this war. Right,
the optics of what happen in Washington today so very little,
so very insignificant. But I am sure we've had American
presidents who have behaved the same way, if not much

(22:09):
much worse in front of other leaders. I'm sure there
have been contentious arguments between world leaders in the Oval Office.
I'm sure vice presidents have spoken out of turn there
as well. I'm sure all of that has happened. But
we didn't need to see it live in real time.
And I think there's a reason for that. I think
there's a reason for us not needing to know everything

(22:29):
all the time.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
And this is case in point.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
Well again, President tmbarrassing did put out a statement shortly
after this meeting. He said, I have determined that President
Zelensky is not ready for peace if America is involved,
because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage
of negotiations. I don't want advantage. I want peace. He
goes on to say he disrespected the United States of
America in its cherished oval office. He can come back

(22:55):
when he is ready for peace. Now, while we were
playing that about three minute or so highlight reel of uh,
I mean it was all one piece. But Zelensky did
leave the White House, jumped into the suv that was
parked off to the side. I couldn't tell who it
was that said goodbye to him. It was a woman
in a blue dress, that was it. Uh, But it
definitely wasn't the president or Vice president.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
So not a good morning or I know where you.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
Go from there either, you know, because that seems that's
like burning it down.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Well, it just is that relationship get internationally? How does
this not embolden Vladimir Putin? I know the President is
trying to carve out, you know, and and make sure
that Zelensky has respect for the United States because of
the amount of work and the amount of money and
the amount of military aid that we've given them. But
how does an How does a public sorry, I almost

(23:51):
had a bad word. How does a public argument like
that do anything but embolden Vladimir Putin, who's sitting back
and cracking up laughing at what happened this morning?

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Past the popcorn?

Speaker 5 (24:05):
All right, what are you going to do next?

Speaker 2 (24:09):
I want to do something fun. It's Friday.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
You do swamp rats?

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Maybe I love swamp rats. We haven't gotten to swamp
rats yet.

Speaker 5 (24:18):
Yes, I have a pupe update as well.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
I do too. Is about the bronchial vomit?

Speaker 5 (24:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Yeah, again, we don't need to know everything. He suffered
a bronchial spasm today that resulted him breathing in vomit.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
Set back the calling.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
It requiring non invasive mechanical ventilation.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
So now tell me how that's non invasive. You you're
you're related to a doctor.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
I'm assuming that means that they did not put a
tube in his throat.

Speaker 5 (24:53):
Yeah, yeah, him, right, I think that's what that?

Speaker 2 (24:57):
Then? What is that?

Speaker 1 (24:58):
What is mechanical ventilation that is non invasive?

Speaker 3 (25:01):
Well, you can put a cover over someone's mouth, you know,
like a mask, and use the use a ventilator that way.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
No, that's not good if they're not going to bother
to If they're not going to bother to.

Speaker 5 (25:15):
Intubate you, then yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Good night Irene.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
Well, I don't think his name is Irene for one thing.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
But also they said that there was good response when
they did this non mechanic, sorry, non invasive mechanical ventilation.
They had good response in terms of gas exchange. It
is important and I want to know what that is.

Speaker 5 (25:38):
That's just the way the oxygen.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
They said that the development marked just set They said
the development marked a setback. And what had been two
successive days of increasingly upbeat reports. Would you call those
upbeat reports? I mean from my recollection, the reports where
he woke up today, he slept last night.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Well, it's just boy, it's already a tough enough road
for him dealing with double pneumonia, and then to have
this thing, the setback, where again it appears he had
suffered a sudden worsening of the respiratory condition, an isolated
attack of broncho spasm which caused vomiting with inhalation, which

(26:19):
is awful. It just sounds a coughing attack.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
Ough, So is this like what happens when you pass out?
You drink too much and you pass out and your
college roommate has to save you when you start vomiting
in your sleep.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
I guess, but I don't think there's the coughing that's involved.
You just vomiting your sleep or the liquor.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Or the liquor.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
Yeah, we don't even have time. We've got to put
some time for this story because this is important, and
it's important for Deborah too, because she's got to pick
between being a vegan and a nature lever. I know
that she's a nature lever and she's a vegan, and
now she's got to kind of pick between the two,
and I think it's going to be tough for her.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
I do, yes, Yes, you town.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
