Speaker 2 (00:03):
Here we go Mario Courtney Lopez back beyond the mine.
Slots to talk about today, including the latest Emmy nominations.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Plus we've got to break down the latest version of
the national anthem that is going viral. And we've got
a new case in Courtney's court. But I'm next our
Good Deed of the Week. You are on with Mario
and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
John, Mario Courtney Lopez. Every week we celebrate someone who's
done a good deed, like to give them the spotlight.
Who do we got today?

Speaker 4 (00:28):
Taylor Swift Well.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Spotlight at her bitch.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
She does many, many good things well. She continues to
make huge donations to food banks for every stop on
her airs tour. During her stop in Wales, she made
their largest single donation ever, covering the cost of close
to eleven thousand meals.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Guys, that's incredible.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
And in Liverpool her donation paid their food bill for
twelve months, that's a whole year.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
That really is incredible. She's globally given a hand good
for her awesome come out.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
More Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (01:03):
What I'm Mario and Courtney Lopez Here. Streaming services are
now officially the Kings at TV. For the first time ever,
more people are watching television on streamers than cable or
basic broadcast. That's crazy. YouTube and Netflix are the biggest
platforms that that's interesting. YouTube didn't even cross my mind.
But what are our kids watch all the time? YouTube? YouTube, Amazon, Hulu,

(01:25):
Disney Plus and tub are next. That's interesting. What's to
be to be is like episodes that are like two
three minutes long, really short content on there.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Well, cable and broadcast still do well when it comes
to live events like sports and the presidential debate. I
always still turn on my cable.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
I think a lot of people obviously still do. But
this is skewing much younger. You're Mario Lopez. Let's take
a look at what's on TV today.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
CBS says season twenty six of Big Brother, this season,
the castmates will vote in a seventeenth house guest.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
How twenty six seasons? I can't believe.

Speaker 6 (02:02):
I haven't.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
CBS does not like to cancel shows over there. Survivor
is like on season four hundred and Brother Survivor is
gonna survive forever. Yeah, that's never going away.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Netflix's debut Simone Biles rising witnessed the gymnast journey to
the twenty twenty four Summer Olympics.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Okay, just in time?

Speaker 6 (02:20):
And who has season two of Unprisoned?

Speaker 5 (02:22):
When Kerrie Washington's Ted talk goes viral, it leads to
public scrutiny of our family, including her formerly incarcerated father.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Oh, I feel like it's still in that scandal sort of.
It feels it feels like the plot of scandal. It
does a little bit. Oh, I'm sure it's good. Then
Yamaroo Courtney Lopez tipping to dish out some common sense.
Just as all Rose Courtney's court is now in session.
Today's case comes from at Ouni Kunkle, and they say,

(02:52):
my husband steals it covers from me all night long.
When I tell him what he did, he says he
didn't know, but doesn't apologize. I said that I would
have apologized if me, but he says he doesn't need
to because he was unaware of his wrongdoing. Who is right? Oh,
this is like us, honey, buton reverse, you steal covers.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
You know.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
He doesn't know that he's doing it, So how can
you apologize for something you don't know.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
That you're doing.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
She's not lying no, she's not.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Lying, but does he have to? Like, you know, I'm
so sorry.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Let me get you like, just okay, I didn't mean
to do it.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
I'm sorry, and just just move on. My gosh.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Oh yeah, he's got he's got to say something.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
And now you know, so just get a couple extra blankets.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
There you go, more fun.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
On the way on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
You're on, Mario Lopez. Don't forget about the sweepstakes We've
got going on right now at our website. It could
make you five thousand dollars richer, all thanks to our
friends of Twigs. They're going to cut a check to
one lucky listener, so big thanks to them and every
one on mars only one way to enter and get
the rules head over Onla Maria dot com. Mario Lopez.
Here was some quick buzz for you. Despicable Me has
made box office history. It is the first first animated

(04:00):
franchise to top more than five billion dollars. Wow, that
is saying something and Universal is very happy about that.
They're officially the mascot now at Universal the Minions. The
latest installment, Despicable with Me four, has now made more
than four hundred and thirty eight million worldwide. That is wild.
My son Dominic sought at an old school drive in

(04:24):
oh He said it was a blast and now he
wants to go all the time.

Speaker 7 (04:27):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
All right, let's get back to the newsic all Mario
Lopez nominees for the seventy six Emmy Awards were announced
this morning. Let's take a look.

Speaker 6 (04:36):
Who was honored under Comedy is The Bear?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
First of all, I have a problem with The Bear
falling under the category of comedy because it's so stressful
and it's really not that funny. To be honest with you,
I don't know that I've laughed watching it, right, It
definitely should be in the drama category. In Hungary and anxious, yeah, exactly.
With all that said, I haven't caught up on this
latest season. It's been met with mixed reviews, but this

(05:01):
is based on the last season and then a couple
of episodes that were really strong Curby Enthusiasm. That's one
we've seen the entire series for and it being the
last season, I think it should get recognized.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Right, it was. It was really good.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Yes, Larry David from that show, well, he's always himself, right,
So yeah, if you can get rewarded for playing yourself.

Speaker 6 (05:20):
Why not only murderers in the building.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
You know I love murders.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
I haven't watched this one, so I really can't say Hacks.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Hold on everything, hold on to everything, I said Curby Enthusiasm. Honestly,
that was just from a nostalgia point. Hacks was excellent
this year.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
It was incredible.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
It really was, and the acting was next level. Both
of the leads, Jeane Smart and Hannah Einbeinder, deserve that
Emmy wins. So yeah, I think we changed the Hacks.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
Right, I know.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
And a show that you I don't think you've watched it,
but you really should. I think you'd enjoy it. Avid Elementary.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
It just anything that has to do with the school
just gives me. I want nothing to do with it.
Makes you think about your kids, Yeah, I just want
nothing to do with it.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (06:05):
Under Drama is the Crown final season?

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yeah, we haven't checked into this one. I always get
the Crown with that other one, Bridger, I always get
the Crown in Downton, Abbey and Bridgerton all confused. They
all blend into one. The morning show over on Apple
that's supposed to be about the Today Show basically and
that sort of drama when Matt Lower was there. Yeah,
we haven't had a chance to check that one out.

Speaker 6 (06:29):
This one's been on my list for a while, but
I haven't watched it. Slow Horses with Gary Oldman on Apple.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
It's not even on my radar, and I love Gary Oldman.
It's about awesome.

Speaker 5 (06:37):
He plays like a guy who works for like the
CIA or something, but they are m I six, but
they work for like they're like the rejects or the
bad kids something.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
It has nothing to do with horses.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
No, well, he's awesome, so I'm sure it's great.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
Showgun.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Is that the one about the samurai?

Speaker 6 (06:55):
Yeah, that's the one.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
You're Steve cam who does the boxing podcast with you love.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Some other people that really like him too. Okay, show Gun.
I kind of like that. It's action.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
I know nothing in this category, and.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Trophies are gonna be handed out. September fifteenth, on ABC.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
More Mario Lopez coming up, you're.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
All Mario Lopez. We got some celebs turning a year
older today. I'm gonna try to guess her.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
Ages TV's Eric Winter from the Rookie He pulled you
over once.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
Hey, I'm that show My buddy Winter. Uh, six seasons in,
still a rookie.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Okay, nice? Heads up about his birthday, I'm gonna say
he texted now. Yes, he's forty nine forty eight. Oh,
I thought he was only one year younger.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
He's two years from American Idol and he's a country
artist to himself.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Luke Brian forty two forty eight. Oh, I had the switch. Yes.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
And David Hasselhof from Baywatch Night Rider. That's a video
on the internet where he's eating a burger on the floor.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Oh, that's iconic. David Hasselff has to be sixty three
seventy two? Is he really? He looks pretty good.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
More. Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Mario Courtney Lopez here, And we just told you last
week about the new Ryan Murphy legal drama with Kim Kardashian,
Halle Berry and Glenn Close. Well, Hallie has just quit
the show before it even got off the ground. She
says it is due to a scheduling conflict.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Halle was going to be Kim Kardashian.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Well, that's the thing. It was going to be an
execut She was set to be an executi producer on
the show too. So she's given up two paychecks. There's
some rumors going out there that she was not aware
of the casting of a Miss Kardashian and did not
want to participate. If that is the case, I mean

(08:37):
I can kind of respect her choice and in the
fact that is the case, because you know, she's relactress.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
So I saw clips of Kim and American Horror Show
and she was not bad.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
I have to give it to her. And you know what,
she just goes it. She goes for it and she
does it, and I really do have to give her props.
But no, she's not Allie Barry. Let's just get that straight,
all right.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Well, props for that. Hallie will be in a project though,
with my boy Mark Wahlberg, in a movie called The Union,
which drops on Netflix next month. Mayo, Courtney Lopez, here

(09:25):
was some quick buzz for you. Twenty twenty four has
been a big year for music so far. Streams are
up eight percent from last year and sales are up
almost four percent. The biggest genre currently is hip hop
and RB, followed by rock, pop, country and Latin Okay okay.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Well Taylor Swiss, Tortured Poets Department, or as I Like
to call it Tortured Pets Department is the biggest album
of the year, so follow up followed by Morgan Wallins
One Thing at a Time. He's great when he's not
thrown chairs.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
What was he thrown chairs for?

Speaker 6 (09:57):
He threw him out, throw it off a roof of
a bar.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Oh yeah, can't be doing that more? Yeah, I be
doing that. Meanwhile, let's get back to music. You're a
Mario Lopez. Let's get to your comments.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
What'd you find in? I mentioned sisters sort of at
Drew mcweeney. The story of the Hawk Tour Girl is
too funny. Pretty soon she's gonna get top billing on
the next Mario Lopez Christmas movie.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Very funny, Drew mcweeney. You know, society is usually a cameo.
Maybe perhaps society is usually defined by the people you
make famous. What does that say about.

Speaker 6 (10:35):
I would say maybe we're an idiocracy.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Wow, that is I've never seen someone stretch out fifteen minutes,
so so long.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Come that for Mario Lopez? Coming up?

Speaker 2 (10:45):
What amorrow? Courtney Lopez? Here, let's take like what's ring
of the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Kevin Durant talks to Logan Paul about rising up Rihanna,
Do we remember what rising means?

Speaker 2 (10:54):
That's when you got mad charisma and you're trying to
spit game.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Well, you can find that by searching for impulsive spelled impulsive.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Clearly he failed because she's uh not married. Is she married?
I don't think she's married, but she has true kids
and is well she's taken asap rocky. Yes, she's definitely taken.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Jojo Siwah gets vulnerable talking about losing friends over internet hate.
You can listen to that by searching Jojo siwaan.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Now, I know Jojo Siwah has become a controversial figure,
but every time I see her, she's very sweet. Hi Mario, Yeah,
I mean she's very she's a very nice, very nice girl.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
You can't miss her.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Yeah, he definitely can.

Speaker 6 (11:30):
You guys both were convolsing to you.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
We went viral, went viral. Yes, my nieces, my daughter
all roasted me.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
All embarrassed.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Everyone was sending us messages, you know what are you doing?

Speaker 3 (11:43):
The Ladies of Melrose Place talk about rewatching the show
for their podcast called Still the Place. You can search
that by checking out on with Mario dot com.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here was some quick buzz for you.
A couple of big divas are taking a break from music.
Adele says she is stepping back after her Vegas presidency ends.
She wants to pursue other creative endeavors for a while.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
Meanwhile, Ariana Grande is also putting all music on the
back burner. She says she's putting one of her attention
to Wicked for now. But the first of those two
films drops in November.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Jal Marrow Courtney Lopez. The National Anthem is not an
easy song to sing, probably one of the hardest. Actually,
Missus Lopez knows that first hand. We've got a memorable
rendition this week during Baseball's Home Run Derby, and for
all the wrong reasons. It's from Grammy nominee Ingrid Andress,
who says she had a little too much to drink
that night.

Speaker 7 (12:37):
Yes read the bombs bust yaypro to the night that
a plague was.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Officially the worst version I ever ever heard. Carl Lewis
and Fergie are Roseanne is going thank you, Yeah, you guys.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
I have to give all the players props because I
did not see one person break face, and that was
breakface territory like like that was like, where are we
and what are we doing?

Speaker 4 (13:21):
We're in the twilight zone.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Absolutely, I knew I knew she she was under the
influence of something.

Speaker 4 (13:26):
There's no way.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Well, I'm just surprised that she chose to drink prior
to singing. If you want to get your party on,
you're at the home run derby, fine, but why don't
you wait till after you've done the song? It's right
at the top of the game.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
Ryan.

Speaker 6 (13:44):
It's the weirdest, weirdest thing.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Being in that situation, no matter who you are, what
you've done, it's very nerve wrecking. I get taken a
shot to maybe cool calm.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Your nerves a little bit, maybe one.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Maybe one, But that she just Houston.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
We have a problem, no major problem.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Mario Lopez. Here we find something to celebrate every single day.
Today is National hot Dog Day. I gotta say this,
and maybe I am biased, well of course I am,
But the Dodger dogs at Dodger Stadium are so good,
not the Mario Lopez hot dog. You know what. Thank
you for reminding, Hey, Frasier, there's a Pink's hot Dog
iconic hot dog place here in La and they did

(14:29):
name a hot dog after me, and with all the toppings,
it's got everything to tear up your stomach, from likejalepenos
to bacon, to guacamola, sour cream, tomatoes, and it is outstanding.
So thank you for reminding me. Shout out to Pinks
because of the portion of the proceeds go to the
Boys and Girls Club of America. Mario Courtney Lopez here

(14:50):
with a quicker reminder by the iHeartRadio Music Festival. Tickets
are now on sale. You're gonna want to get them
before they sell out. The lineup keeps getting bigger. We've
got Dua, Liipa and Halsey now.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
Ooh, plus big s on Camila, Cabeo, Doja, cag Onen,
Stefanie holds your End, so many more. It's September twentieth
and twenty first at the T Mobile Arena in Vegas.
Get tickets at Amathmario dot com.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
It's up all with mari on Courtney Lopez. And yesterday
we were talking about an article in People magazine and
it was just because they've been putting out these confusing
headlines and I guess it works makes you want to
click on it and find out what's really going on.

Speaker 6 (15:24):
Because you have to decipher it right.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
However, I always post a bunch of different headlines. You
follow me on ig and I try to put a
waited comment or just whatever I'm thinking. Daily Mail recently
posted one and there was no confusion. I just can't
believe they posted it along with a picture. It read
and I'm quoting. Meet Derek Blastsberg, Hollywood socialite accused of
fleeing Gwyneth Paltrow's Hampton's home after quote catastrophic diarrhea? Who

(15:50):
counts Jeff Bezos and Demi moras his pals? Can you
imagine you blew it up so bad that they had
to write a news article about you? And then they
put a picture of you.

Speaker 6 (15:59):
Can you imagine being Jeff Bezos and the other person
who are now.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Attached to the sky.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
Yeah, he's just like, what the hell he's catching strays
over here?

Speaker 2 (16:07):
You attaching me to the diarrhea guy. But this guy forever.
If I know this guy, he's forever diarrhea boy.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Every time I see Straw the diary.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Boy, this was an article? Is this the wildest article ever?

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Also?

Speaker 6 (16:22):
Who told the story?

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Whether this is my favorite story in a long time.
Poor guy. They got a tight close up one or
two so you can know what he looks like.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Well, we're not inviting him to our house.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
No, Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
What a Mario Courtney Lopez here? Jelly Roll teaming up
with the WWE. Two of his tracks will be the
official theme song of next month's Summer Slam event. His
new single Liar and dead End Road from the New
Twisters soundtrack sounds like jelly Roll is also going to
be performing live during the event. It's going down August
third in Cleveland. Look at jelly Roll.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
I got a little scared because I thought he was
going to partake in the WWE, and I thought, you
know what, great, that was good casting on their part.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
But I actually thought that too because he's a big dude. Yeah,
could work.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
But his music is great, so even better.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
All right, let's get back to that music. You're on,
Mario Lopez. And we're all fans of Twigs and Bars
around here. As George Costanza once said, it's the only
candy with the cookie crunch. Well, our friends at Twigs
are providing the prize. So this week's sweepstakes a check
for five thousand dollars and who couldn't use that that
kind of money with Leitch experience more of the things
you love, like a concert, vacation, throwing one way to
enter and get the rules. Head on over to all

(17:32):
Mario dot com. You're on Mario Lopez not for one
last thing. It's the end of an era for Las Vegas.
The Mirage Hotel in the Casino is closing its doors
after thirty five years. No, I vividly remember when that
hotel went up thirty five years ago. I'm getting old
if I can remember that. I remember when he was

(17:53):
the biggest thing and they had Sigfried and Roy launch
it and the volcanoes with the fire. It was incredible,
really transforming the city back in the nineties. It was
actually built nineteen eighty nine. It was the world's most
expensive resort, cost six hundred and thirty million to build
at the time. It's going to now be the new
hard Rock Hotel and Casino that's supposed to open in

(18:15):
twenty twenty seven. Ironically, it had a hard Rock Hotel
and casino which was torn down and now is the
new Virgin Hotel. So if you hang around long enough.
I guess you'll resurface at some point.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
More Mario Lopez coming up a lot.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
It's time for me to pass the mic, but I'm
back tomorrow with a new life act in Coordinay's Corner
and Ghostbusters Ernie Hudson. Until then, Mario Lopez saying good night,
