after a travel nightmare this week. I thought I was
going to escape the wrath of the airport delay, being
that the government was opening back up. But even though
it's on the way, it hasn't happened yet. It takes
a few days and it's basically staff shortage. If you
can get out early in the morning, you're good for

the most part. Later on in the day it starts
getting risky. And that's what happened to me. I was
at our nation's capital for really cool event, the Civics
National Championship, meaning specifically for all things having to do
with civics. Government history really my favorite subject. These kids
are so smart, brilliant. It's like a gauntlet they have

to go through. But it was so with the Constitution
and section Article two, and I'm like, oh my gosh,
we're talking about twelve thirteen year old. This is wild,
very very impressive and very cool to.

That was at the Hay Adams Hotel that I was
staying at, which is literally behind the White House, and.

Lincoln stayed there. Was really cool.

But anyway, we probably saw you on the Mussy movies.

They did, They did, He absolutely did, because we were
on loop there. Anyway, the event went great. I was
excited to come back home early, get to my gate
and they said we're going to have a delay for
about twenty minutes.

I said, okay, that's fine, we can.

Get away with that. Then it quickly turned into an hour,
then three hours, then six hours, until they inevitably canceled
it and had to take the one the next day.
And it just I told you that was going to
happen by now, I was so lucky during this time
that it hadn't happened. It finally happened. But man, it

wipes you out.

Yeah, wipes you just sitting there, the stress of it, the.

Stress of it, and then you do finally get on
the plane. It's another six hours.

going to escape the wrath of the airport delay, being
that the government was opening back up. But even though
it's on the way, it hasn't happened yet. It takes
a few days and it's basically staff shortage. If you
can get out early in the morning, you're good for

the most part. Later on in the day it starts
getting risky. And that's what happened to me. I was
at our nation's capital for really cool event, the Civics
National Championship, meaning specifically for all things having to do
with civics. Government history really my favorite subject. These kids
are so smart, brilliant. It's like a gauntlet they have

to go through. But it was so with the Constitution
and section Article two, and I'm like, oh my gosh,
we're talking about twelve thirteen year old. This is wild,
very very impressive and very cool to.

That was at the Hay Adams Hotel that I was
staying at, which is literally behind the White House, and.

Lincoln stayed there. Was really cool.

But anyway, we probably saw you on the Mussy movies.

on loop there. Anyway, the event went great. I was
excited to come back home early, get to my gate
and they said we're going to have a delay for
about twenty minutes.

I said, okay, that's fine, we can.

Get away with that. Then it quickly turned into an hour,
then three hours, then six hours, until they inevitably canceled
it and had to take the one the next day.
And it just I told you that was going to
happen by now, I was so lucky during this time
that it hadn't happened. It finally happened. But man, it

wipes you out.

Yeah, wipes you just sitting there, the stress of it, the.

Stress of it, and then you do finally get on
the plane. It's another six hours.

I love hosting Thanksgiving back because you know why, No
gifts are involved, no present giving. You could just have
food and drinks for people and you just talk about
how thankful you are.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Oh gosh, I get a headache just thinking about hosting
Thanksgiving because there's no end time.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
People just stay, then they eat, and then you can't
get rid.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Of them, and you also have to cook for everyone,
and everyone's so particular, and then they start talking politics.
It turns into a nightmare.
Speaker 5 (20:17):

I don't know if you've ever been to our parties,
because we tell people when to leave, so we do
have an end time. That is why I'm pro Thanksgiving.
Go home, thankful you came, but now you must leave.

only got maybe a day or two to recoup, and
