festive fun.
Speaker 4 (00:25):
So turn the music up. You're on with Mario and
Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
You're on, Mario Courtney Lopez. Happy to be back home
after a travel nightmare this week. I thought I was
going to escape the wrath of the airport delay, being
that the government was opening back up. But even though
it's on the way, it hasn't happened yet. It takes
a few days and it's basically staff shortage. If you
can get out early in the morning, you're good for
(00:53):
the most part. Later on in the day it starts
getting risky. And that's what happened to me. I was
at our nation's capital for really cool event, the Civics
National Championship, meaning specifically for all things having to do
with civics. Government history really my favorite subject. These kids
are so smart, brilliant. It's like a gauntlet they have
(01:16):
to go through. But it was so with the Constitution
and section Article two, and I'm like, oh my gosh,
we're talking about twelve thirteen year old. This is wild,
very very impressive and very cool to.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Be a part of.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
That was at the Hay Adams Hotel that I was
staying at, which is literally behind the White House, and.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Lincoln stayed there. Was really cool.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
The President of Syria happened to be very next to me.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
That's a story for another day.
Speaker 5 (01:37):
But anyway, we probably saw you on the Mussy movies.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
They did, They did, He absolutely did, because we were
on loop there. Anyway, the event went great. I was
excited to come back home early, get to my gate
and they said we're going to have a delay for
about twenty minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
I said, okay, that's fine, we can.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Get away with that. Then it quickly turned into an hour,
then three hours, then six hours, until they inevitably canceled
it and had to take the one the next day.
And it just I told you that was going to
happen by now, I was so lucky during this time
that it hadn't happened. It finally happened. But man, it
(02:16):
wipes you out.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
Yeah, wipes you just sitting there, the stress of it, the.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Stress of it, and then you do finally get on
the plane. It's another six hours.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
It's hard to catch up one rest that way. But
I made it back on one piece. That's the important thing.
Speaker 6 (02:29):
Or Mario Lopez coming up al Mario Courtney Lopez music
rolls on right after a quick look at some of
the new stuff on TV and streaming.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Amazon Prime has a season one premiere of Malice, a
psychological thriller about a young man Adam played by Jack Whitehall,
who charms his way into the life of a wealthy
family to enact revenge.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Ooh, I like it.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
He's plotting. He's patient my kind of revenge.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Netflix is premiering their new limited series The Crystal Cuckoo,
a Spanish thriller series on Netflix about Clara Metal, a
medical resident who receives a heart transplant after a fatal
heart attack. Her recovery sparks an obsession to find her donor,
leading her to a secretive small town where she covers
a twenty year old mystery linked to the young man
(03:15):
whose heart now beats inside of her. Oh, that's kind
of cool and HBO Max as a serious premiere of
The Seduction, a French period drama series on HBO Max
that reimagines a rise to power in eighteenth century Paris.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
If you will, Almroo, Courtney Lopez quickly saying happy holidays

being hunted by professional assassins.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Now this is a remake, of course, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger
in the original.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
It was awesome. So was Richard Dawson, the old school
host of Family Feud.
Speaker 5 (04:34):
He was all sat right.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Oh wow, it was great and it played a bad guy.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
This kind of reminded me of just being in a
hotel with Nico for two weeks when he had his
nerve guns. I was just trying to survive and not
get shot when I turned a corner keeper.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Tatiana Maslani.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
A wife becomes isolated in a secluded cabin and has
to fend off an unspeakable evil.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
You know, things don't ever go well in a cabin.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
No, you might get a fever. Now you see me,
Now you don't.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
Jesse Eisenberger, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Woody Harrelson, The Four
Horsemen and a new generation of illusionists try to bring
down a worldwide criminal network.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yeah, magicians who are thieves. Let's do it more.
Speaker 6 (05:18):

as well. In the meantime, what obscure holidays were celebrating today?
Speaker 4 (05:49):
Annie, it is a National Pickle Day.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
I love me a pickle.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
I tried something the other day, a sandwich instead of bread.
They had a thinly sliced pickle.
Speaker 5 (06:00):
Interesting it was.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
It was a little too much pickle. Yeah, and you
had the paper around the pickles. Your hands aren't like
gooey or anything. But it was a little too much
Like I like pickle, but that was like a lot
of pickle.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
One slice maybe maybe one slice.
Speaker 5 (06:14):
But the pickle should be an accent.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
It shouldn't be.
Speaker 5 (06:17):
It was like a structure of the sandwich.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
They were trying to go for keto version, right, Yeah,
less bread. I guess it kind of worked. I would
think you.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
One slice with it, because lettuce is kind of tasteless. Yeah,
so that's why it works, right, like the pickle, it's
just too overpowering.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
All right, it's time for some November or fourteenth birthday
is Mario Courtney Lopez here is always Fraser is gonna
shut him Out're gonna try.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
To guess the ages.
Speaker 5 (06:43):
Travis Barker from Blink one eighty two. Mister Courtney Kardashian.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
I think Travis, uh fifty one.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
God you blink and he's uh fifty.
Speaker 5 (06:57):
Fifty is correct?
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Oh wow?
Speaker 5 (06:59):
Uh, someone has been on the show more than anyone
else this year. Josh Doummel.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
That's right. Nice guys, nice to talk.
Speaker 5 (07:05):
Be back next month.
Speaker 7 (07:06):
I'm sure Josh fifty two fifty three fifty three is correct.
Right to two for two from Run dmc rev Run.
The rev has got to be sixty three.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
No, he's Rev in the engine to go into his
sixty sixth year.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
Sixty one from Seinfeld and Family Guy Patrick Warburton. I
don't know. On Seinfeld he's putty, yeah, And in Family
Guy he's Joe the next door neighbor in the wheelchair.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
I say he's sixty one.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
Who's the gug who zones like this sold the toes?
Sixty sixty one is correct, by the way, huhh. And
the current King of England, King Charles, the Third King
Charles and.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
His little sausage fingers I think are turning of seventy two.
Speaker 5 (07:55):
They do look like appetizers, they do.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
Charles is every since of what he did to Diane.
I just can't even whatever.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
You are seventy four.
Speaker 5 (08:10):
His majesty is seventy seven four.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Mario Courtney Lopez here.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
If you're gonna be a road trip in this Thanksgiving,
might want to pack some extra patients. According to all
state phone use, speeding, and hard breaking are all expected
to jump as drivers race to get to the Turkey destinations.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Experts say that your best bet is to drive at
night seven pm to one am or early morning, when
there are typically fewer cars on the roads. And it's
best obviously to avoid prime Turkey jam hours, which is
eleven am to three pm.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Yeah, you might as well just call it a day
unless you want to hang out in a parking lot.
Good luck out there, all right, Let's get back to
the music. Mario Courtney Lopez. Your music rolls on and
after Acordo makes us think with a random thought, oh
what you got?
Speaker 4 (08:55):
Ony?
Speaker 3 (08:55):
Okay, So I've realized something that makes me so angry
and I don't know why. Is when I am taking
the kids to school and I see people driving with
their coffee in a coffee cup, I go.
Speaker 5 (09:14):
Yeah, that's not good.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
I don't understand.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Like, it makes me mad. There's bumps, there's things that happen.
Why are you hold like I can see it and
I literally give them the evil eye? It makes anybody else.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
Or is that just me?
Speaker 5 (09:31):
I'm unaffected by that.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Well, they're they're the ones that are going to suffer
the confer you're not going to burst. You should break
really quick in front of them.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
They'll change.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
But I just don't help them.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Anybody would want to take a risk like that, That's
like why.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
There's the only thing not that I would do it anyway,
is if their coffee is like below halfway no still.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
Still, you know it's still you just get a little it.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
Doesn't fit in the coffee and that like you're holding it.
It makes me mad.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Those are people that probably live, or they should live
at least on the same street and they're driving for
thirty seconds or something and they just don't want to
change it and transfer it.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
Yeah, I'm sorry, you're a serial killer.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
You're a Mario Courtney Lopez into your list starting to
drop by like those. This one's pretty interesting. The most
searched Google words for twenty twenty five. Many of them
were political terms, not a surprise, but others were trendy
social media terms that many had a Google to clarify
their meaning. Let's go over a couple of them.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Gaslighting.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Oh, that should be the word of the year. I've
never heard it so much until this year.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Yeah, well, we've seen it a lot this year, and
that's why you've you've heard it, and apparently many people
wanted to know if they'd been a victim of it.
I'm kind of confused by what gaslighting means.
Speaker 5 (10:46):
Because it's what Roolf does to you.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Gaslighting is now I understand.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
I just thought that was just big.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Gas Lighting is when someone tells you something thing that
makes you change your perception of reality. Like, in other words,
you walk outside. This is a broad example. You walk
outside and it's raining, It's like, no, that's not really raining.
That's that's just a special effect from a movie right
now that it's not actual precipitation, And you'd be like, wait,
what it makes you question your reality?
Speaker 5 (11:17):
Like, no, it's raining, I see it all right?
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Well hyper bowl hyperbole.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
Pronounced google this one real quick hyperbole?
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Wow, wow hyperbly?
Speaker 8 (11:32):
Hi?
Speaker 5 (11:33):
Hi, you know are coming up to see?
Speaker 3 (11:35):
Yes, I know I want to win. Yes, we heard
a lot of exaggerated.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
We don't hear hyper bowl hyper boley.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
These days, like it cost me an arm and a
leg or I have a million things to do today.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
Basically an exaggeration.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
It's just an exaggeration. So good old hyper bowl niche.
What did I say that one day?
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Needs?
Speaker 6 (11:58):
No?
Speaker 5 (11:58):
That was kecha.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
W niche.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
It's been used more often as businesses and careers become
more specialized.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
Yeah, that makes sense.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
That word has been around for a long time. I
don't know why anyone's having to look that one up.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Right, And here's an odd one that made the top
ten barm It refers to the froth on a fermenting
beer or yee. So apparently a lot of bakers and
brewers have needed to google that one quite a bit
this year.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
They're just making upwards now that's a completely made up word,
barm you never.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Ever you know what else are made upwards all the
medication commercials, I swear they just take the alphabet throat
against the wall and see you.
Speaker 5 (12:39):
They see what word they get.
Speaker 6 (12:41):

I read this box Lockett which opens up and then
we have two photos in there, photo and me and
my children.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Oh that's great, that's very cool.

years and it's finally come to market and it is
the only FDA whole milk formula one of them on
the market. It is clean, nice, The factories are in Germany.
(17:13):
It is fantastic. I know when I was in that
baby phase, Like the formula is just so stressful, what
you're going to give your baby. Yeah, and I actually
used to get it from Germany. I would get it
from Europe because I just feel like the standards over
there are better. And so Nara is now here and
(17:38):
it's doing fantastic. The first week they had orders in
every single state.

Time for our weekly fake debate where the topics are
made upon the spot, but the passion is real.

All right, who's gonna be pro? Is gonna be con?
Speaker 5 (19:34):
You will be con? Courtney will be pro? Your topic today,
which will have fifteen seconds to make your case ten
second robottal afterwards. Is hosting Thanksgiving.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
I love hosting Thanksgiving back because you know why, No
gifts are involved, no present giving. You could just have
food and drinks for people and you just talk about
how thankful you are.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Oh gosh, I get a headache just thinking about hosting
Thanksgiving because there's no end time.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
People just stay, then they eat, and then you can't
get rid.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Of them, and you also have to cook for everyone,
and everyone's so particular, and then they start talking politics.
It turns into a nightmare.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
Missus Lopez.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
I don't know if you've ever been to our parties,
because we tell people when to leave, so we do
have an end time. That is why I'm pro Thanksgiving.
Go home, thankful you came, but now you must leave.
Speaker 5 (20:29):
Mister Lopez.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
And just when you've got the family out, then You've
only got maybe a day or two to recoup, and
you need longer periods of time to recoup from your
family after that. Thanks, I am not thankful for Thanksgiving.
More Mario Lopez on the way, Mario Courtney Lopez here
keeping all the music infestive fun coming your way as
we make a quick digital pit stop and on Mario
(20:52):
dot com, so Quordo can break down what's trending.
