Speaker 1 (00:01):
It is the best of two pros and a couple
of Joe with Lamar are Rady Quinn and Jonas Knocks
on radio. All right, so who's ready to hear a
bunch of rich people fight. Yeah, a bunch of rich
people fight. It's like the opposite of the Hunger Games.

(00:24):
Dan Snyder, Uh, little little Danny as they call him,
Little Danny Snyder. He's obviously got the heat turned up.
And uh, they had some some owners meetings yesterday in
the NFL and got together. There was, you know, another
sidebar argument that we'll get too later on between some
Super Bowl champion winning owners. But then you had the

(00:45):
pressure that's been turned up on Snyder and there's been
calls for him to sell the team or for them
to move in a different direction. And of course in
steps Jimmer Say, the Coult's owner, who shared, Yeah, he
shared his thoughts on what he feels like is enough
there to make a decision moving forward when it comes
to Dan Snyder and his football team. You know, it's

(01:08):
a difficult situation. Um, you know, I believe that there's
a merrit to remove him as owner. I think it's
something that we have to review, We have to look
at all the evidence, and we have to be thorough
in going forward. But um, you know, I think it's

(01:30):
something that has to be given serious consideration. Unfortunately, I
believe that that's the road we probably need to go down,
and we just need to finish the investigation. But it's
greatly concerning to me, um, the things that have occurred
there over the last twenty years. So the first owner
to go public with we need to go in the

(01:51):
direction of getting Dan Snyder out of the league is
none other than Jim Mercy, who's got just nothing but
a squeaky clean image off the field. I mean, there's
no issues, nothing from his past. So step right up,
Jim er Say, and be the first one to speak
on this, even though there might be a little bit
of baggage job in your past and some stuff that
they could dig up if they wanted to. So now
I think, look, everyone's got baggage right like like everyone everyone,

(02:14):
No one's perfect. I think the difference with jimmers say
is a lot of what he has been perfect about
has been public, so it's like he's he's like, yeah,
I can speak honestly because you guys know all about me.
You know, like is there treated lying on before before
I started talking. He's he's been out there in the
open all his transgressions. For the most part, I think

(02:35):
everyone's kind of seen and he just is who he is,
so he's he's looking at it, just speaking his mind.
Where I think there's other owners who might have more
stuff that people don't know about and they don't want
to become public. And that's where this whole thing gets
really interesting. Like I'm just fascinated to watch how this
all unfolds, like what gets leaked out there, If Dan

(02:58):
Snyder actually has stuff on the these guys and it
will see the light of day, or if he was
just threatening to do that. I mean, this is you know,
it's like a soap opera. I mean, this could be
a TV show, Like I don't know. I mean, maybe
it will be a TV show in five years from now.
Who knows. It's I don't think it's beyond the realm
of possibility that he has information damning information against other owners.

(03:24):
And I mean you would have to say, Jerry Jones
has to be one of those owners that would be
on that list of of people, just assuming now who
else will be on there. I have no idea. But
you know what I started thinking when I heard Jim
er Say come out and say that. The first thing
I started thinking was people don't come out and say

(03:48):
things like that when they have as much advisory people
in their lives. Somebody, somebody, somebody has been talking to
Er say, Er Say felt comfortable and confident enough to
speak at length, not just like real quick, like at

(04:08):
length about the merit of removal of of Dan Snyder.
So to me, that says that says he's the one
that's that's breaking the ice. Whether whether it was another
owner or what you know, I don't know how that's received.
Of course, people are going to sit there and say

(04:28):
exactly what we're saying. Jim ersty of all of all owners.
Jim ersay, you can google search of a mugshot at
Jimmers saying, uh, you know, twenty pounds of trash bag
filled pills and in the back of his car and
all that like. But with all that being said, is
that a lot there to say he can't own the

(04:49):
franchise that he has, like what has been reported that
would give merit to Jim er say not. And he's
a legacy guy, right his dad owned the team. Yeah,
I'm pretty sertain he's a legacy guy. So my my
whole thing is the fact that an owner came out
and was comfortable and confident enough to say that he

(05:12):
needs to be Dan Snyder needs to be removed. I
honestly got to say, I think it's the beginning of
the end. That's That's what I think. Whether it's Jim
Rcy and and whether people don't feel as though he's
credible enough, that's that. It goes without saying that. That's
that can be opinion based, But I think that this
could signal the signal signal to the beginning of the

(05:35):
end of you. He is a trend setter. You know.
He hasn't been known to put up some conference finalists
uh banners in his stadium. You know what's caught onto
that yet. But I'm telling you, I think someone eventually will.
And I do think you're being prophetic because if you recall,
remember when Little Danny said I will never change the

(05:56):
name of the Washington You can't say that word right
rid skin he did. Now we're gonna get thrown off.
He I do not deserve to own this seat. As
as a morning radio show host. I'm sorry for for
stating the name of the team that I've played to
that boy since you said I'm gonna go there. Seven

(06:18):
years later he did eventually change it, Yes, he did
so maybe seven years from now we're talking about someone
besides Little Danny owning the Commandos. If you could own it,
do you think the first thing you do is going
to change the name, not not back to obviously the
old one Washing FO team. If I could own the team, yes,

(06:40):
I would change it from the Commanders. Think about it,
because you kind of want to differentiate yourself from the
last guy. If he does sell it like that might
be one of the first things I go to, I go,
you know what, we're going back to the Washington football team.
I don't want to be associated with the whatever that
would you move them back to RFK Stadium. I play there,
I play there tomorrow. I play there tomorrow. It's not

(07:03):
in good conditions, It's not it doesn't matter. Hey, neither
is FedEx all right showed us pointed out last year
we had urine apparently just pouring out over fans in
the stadium. Now, I don't know why you have I
don't know why you have waste waters or sewer pipes.
You know, whoever decide that, Well, it's not even high

(07:25):
up there, just traveling over you know people fans looks
like it was a water park right at What do
you think we just run these uh these sewer lines.
We can put it right over. It should be an issue.
Let's make it look like gutters and if they act
like children, will open them up. You know me in

(07:47):
one of those aquariums, you know, like you want to
stare at the sharks and but not actually get bit
by one. Guarantee you it does have something to do
with getting a new stadium. Everybody stands to make more
money if Washington is doing better. You got to keep
in mind when when Dan Snyder took over Washington, that
was the highest grossing That was the number one franchise

(08:10):
in the NFL. That was the number one grossing franchise
in the NFL. I think people forget how great that
organization was, like because if you like, that's he's you
know what I mean, like he's running all the way,
he's ran that into the ground, like it's no longer
that that you know, that story franchise or that revered

(08:33):
and and you know kind of monetize herble brand. It's
not at all. If you go back to team of
the eighties, like everyone gives, you know, it to the Niners.
And since well the Niners are the team of the
eighties and Washington one three super Bowls, three people they
think it's the greatest super Bowl team. Like is that

(08:56):
team or super Bowl teams the ones with Jacobe and
Russ Grim and all of those guys, Like the Hogs
with rig some people consider them the greatest team. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's that, you know, the Hogs, Washington Hogs. They so

(09:18):
uh so Dan Snyder and I don't know if this
is Dan Snyder, but I'm sure one of his representatives
actually put this together. So they responded to jimmer Says comments.
It was it was basically kind of a a note.
Not not a big surprise, uh you know, coming from
Jimmer say one of those things. The one part that
is interesting interesting is that they sent a memo, according

(09:40):
to some sources, to owners in the league on the
ESPN article that we talked about last week that came out,
and the one thing that they pinpointed that they said
is patently false, and they denied it and even hinted
at some sort of a legal approach they're going to
take towards ESPN. Is the fact that Dan Snyder would
higher private investigators to go look into the background of

(10:05):
Roger Goodell and some of these owners. So that was
the statement prepared. But I think it's an interesting tactic
because if he I mean, if he files, what would
be defamation or however you'd go about him? I sure
it would be slander because that slander though, like how
good is your case? He approach? I mean him and
Kanye West, they got it. They got some story. That's all.

(10:27):
The other story don't not bring he said he. I mean,
these guys are crazy, man. They keep changing their names
all the time. Have you ever worn yeasies? Have you
ever worn those before? They're not comfortable. I tried them on.

(10:48):
They're not gonna watch. Everyone claims that's the one thing
about him that they like is the comfortable ultra boost
or blow those out of the water. Brady got me
a pair? Ever go back? Okay, I'm telling you, man,
what they say. You know what they say? Oh yeah,
do you know what they yeah? You yeah? Huh? Have

(11:10):
you worn ultra buse? No? But I am on the
dark side. Though you know what I mean. Yeah, well
you you didn't know what Jonas was getting at, what
he was hinting at what you didn't go back. I
was just talking about shoes here, That's that's all. I
was trying. What you have? You wore the easiest, though

(11:32):
I've never worn them. I've never owned every one said,
because I'm always like, they don't look very good, really comfortable.
They don't look like moon shoes. Yeah there's something bad him.
It's not not all that hot. But but they're in
the same they're in the same category. I think his
is way worse than than you know. I did not

(11:53):
hire personal investigators to go over like. That's not defaming
as somebody, but but I think he's a pro coaches.
They're trying to tear at the fabric quote unquote of
his relationship with the owners about because he knows if
owners feel like he's now trying to dig up dirt
on all of them to oust them, then they're gonna

(12:16):
what the quote was last week. But he's denying that,
and that's why he's he's that's the faming. That's a
much better conversation, not not I didn't hire personal investigators.
That what you just what we just said. If he's
saying I did I never said those things in terms
of threatening to out, you know, other other owners and

(12:37):
stuff like that, now that's different. Hired private investigators and
all that like it just that's an addition to it.
If now, if that wasn't the addition to everything that was,
then I get that. I do get that. I do
understand that. If he did not say those things, then
that is defaming and that is altering his his relationship
possibly with the other owners. She says. A year from now,

(13:00):
our start of next football season is Dan Snyder the
owner of the Washington Commanders sloan time. Yeah here from
now I think started next season. Oh yeah, this is
gonna be a knockdown, drag out fighting the legal battle forever.
I think. The better the better question is is does
the process the proceedings, does it become common does it

(13:24):
become public knowledge that that that process has begun, maybe
already has, like I don't know, to sell the team. No,
not to sell, I'm saying, to get it from him,
to rip it from his kung fu grip. Right now.
He's not letting nothing go. No, he's not. He's got
that's all he's got. How yaw? Yeah, why you look

(13:46):
like that? Why why are you looking at me? Why
you know they look at each other. We said we
all we got, you know, like he's looking the mirror
like thinking, like but we always got you know, He's
like Santo himself. Is he ain't looking at nobody walking
around that create. He ain't looking at nobody outside of
that create. It's not very many people he's looking at that.

(14:07):
It could be a yacht, it might be he walks outside,
looks the Mediterranean. It's like this. I'm just like, what
else is he making money off of? I don't know
if they're making a lot of money there, you know,
but what I'm sampled money. But listen to what I'm saying, Like,

(14:30):
if he were to lose that that investment, I mean,
you would have to assume that he's lost. He's gonna
be he's gonna be broke. Yeah, they will make him
sell it. I'm not saying he's going to be broke.
I'm saying I don't think he has anything else, but
he'll sell for what four billion? Yeah, I mean it's
not like you're going to be hurting after that. That's

(14:54):
the thing. Is like people want him to take his
team to hurt him. I mean, wouldn't you rather just
constantly have a media fan base just badgering him for
the rest of his life almost how much she stinks?
I mean I think that. I mean, it might be
worth worse than letting him sell where I could promise
you he's gonna get a premium for it, and then
he just goes on the rest of his life being

(15:14):
a billionaire. I mean, I just think jim Ursay is
pretty ungrateful. In fact, he's got a lot of balls,
one of balls on Jimmy. The fact that he's gonna
air out Dan Snyder like this, after Dan Snyder, after
its everything, after Dan Snyder took Carson Wentz off his
off his hands, and then he's going to turn around

(15:34):
and tell him to get rid of his team. That's
pretty disrespect And then you got Ron Rivera looking out
for him and sticking up for him after he threw
him under the bus. I mean, he picked him up
and brushed them off. Who knew, Carson. I can't believe
that this this this bus just ran you over. I'm
so sorry. Yeah, I don't know. Well, I mean, even
though I'm the one that pushed you out into the

(15:55):
street to get ran over by it. I mean, I'm
just saying I didn't mean it that they should have
been going to speed limit. I did all of the
paperwork in Indianapolis. You know, I did the scouting. I
was there, like you know, I know what I did
when I got you. I'm sorry. Yeah, And you did
not deserve to be with Jammer say you deserve to
be with us, and little Danny makes sense to me.

all right? So I mean you're not entitled to get
something that it feels like it. I thought I was
talking about marriage just once once. I was in the
wrong realm you was talking about Que, I was somewhere else.

(17:21):
Has that conversation and then Cute and then Cute responded
exactly the way, uh, a wife would. What did you say?
What you said? You said again? Did that conversation already happened?
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. Frustrating.

(17:48):
Que's response was so that though you are not entitled
to getting anything, yeah, sabing uh like speech or video.
I love listen to his like coach talk stuff. And
he was talking about that with his players, like how
during the season, you know, too many players for like,

(18:09):
once they've achieved a position that they earned that they're
then entitled to that, and he's like, no, you know,
every single day practice and REP you have to continually
earn that. Otherwise that that that you know that that
I guess earned spot can go out the window on
a heart heartbeat. But by the way, I think there's

(18:31):
value at Alabama when in the national title right now. Yeah,
I think there's definitely value. The question is, you know,
I think there's three teams in the SEC that you're
gonna get. You're gonna get Bama, Tennessee, and Georgia. Those
are the three teams because I do think Bama will
go through the SEC West. Now Old Miss has a

(18:51):
tough one this week um in Baton Rouge verus L
s U. But because they's currently sit on top of
the SEC West, but they do have to play one another,
I think Bama probably beats Old Miss. But I think
if they just the problem is now with one loss,
they have to win the SEC Championship, Like they can't
afford to go to that game and lose, and so

(19:13):
they're either gonna be playing Tennessee in a rematch on
a neutral site, or they're gonna have to go up
against Georgia. What would you say the odds are to
win the SEC right now according to DraftKings, Like, where
would you be for Alabama? Probably? Okay, Alabama's plus one forty.
Tennessee Tennessee, who just beat them, is plus six fifty

(19:37):
and they just but that's because they still have to
play Georgia. Yeah, if they lose the Georgia, Georgia goes
and they're sitting out with one loss, goad. That was
just a fun game. So does it give you the
odds for Tennessee to go to the College Football Playoff? Yes?
Can you vamp for one second? This? This is more
interesting to me because because they beat Bama, they're now

(20:00):
in a really really good position where I mean, I
think either way Tennessee might get in. Like if if
if they lose to Georgia and that's their only loss,
and you're assuming in this case, Georgia goes and wins
the SEC, you'd say they both get in. And even
if they beat Georgia they go to the SEC championship
game and lose and they're only losses to UM assuming

(20:22):
it's Alabama. If that's the only loss, would you say, well, yeah,
they still deserve to be a part of it. Yeah,
plus two sixty. So they're they're basically they're basically in
the college football playoff. Yeah. So so yeah, it's gonna
be fun to see how that how that shakes up.
When do we start getting the playoff rankings? That comes up?
What around Halloween time? Right, another couple of weeks. I

(20:43):
think it's usually around then. I think early on November
that's when the playoff rankings come out. I gotta be
honest with you, I almost wish they did it either
for the entirety of the season, or they waited till
the end of the season, or there's just more. That way,
we don't have to deal with the week to week stuff.
We're listening to come out and justify where they're putting teams. Yeah,
well listen now and what Plus, we're gonna talk to

(21:04):
patros I know he's been in morning because USC lost,
so you know. And then you got you know Cam
Rising who called that Lincoln Riley, Well, so that was
actually fake? Wasn't really? Yeah, it was too bad. Unfortunately,
that was one of those Twitter accounts that when viral
people start to think they read into it it was

(21:26):
actually fake. It's too bad. I love a good calling
out to Lincoln Riley, especially when everybody's been ball washing
USC in the media for the past several months. That's
too bad. But you know their championship rings. Speaking of championships,
you know they did. There were some really really big
rings too, by the way they were, they were really big. Yeah.

(21:48):
I mean, at some point they're going to get so
big that you're gonna have to put them on two fingers, right, yeah?
Is it or is there a chance that there will
ever be a two ring a two finger mpionship ring.
They'll just go to a watch. The next to the
next step up will be a watch, and then after
that it will be a belt. I just think that
the game changer is more than one finger ring, like

(22:11):
some old school type stuff like the pinky and the
ring or the ring in the middle or the pointer
in the middle, you know what I mean, like to
two finger ring your your Hall of Fame ring from
the college football hall. I don't know that I get
a ring. I hope I do. I wear that, bad boy.
If you don't ring ring for that, I would love.

(22:32):
I would love if if they do have one, what
do they what do you do if they give you
like a belt buckle? I mean, whatever it is, I'm
gonna put it in my you know, in my archives
of you know, I'm a I'm a collector. I'm a
memorabilia collector. So if it's not something, if it's not
a ring, then I'll wear the ring. Anything else, I'm
gonna just add it to my collection. You know. I

(22:55):
got Lebron James is one of Lebron James rookie year
um jerseys from Cleveland. I got a game Warren from
Michael Jordan's sign Shaquille o'ne game. Yeah. Yeah, Game Warren
shoes from Shaquille. How um they didn't stick and and

(23:16):
on and and and in fact, I could fit my
shoe on my foot inside of shock shoe. I could breakfast.
I cooked breakfast one time and shack shoes with my
shoes on. Yeah. She was walking around the kitchen with
you know what, the game Warren because I got him

(23:36):
off New York Giants. No no, no, no, no, after
the game Game one too, me after the game. So
he took it off his body. Here, Well you could
tell they were worn. Oh it was warm inside. I
mean I didn't put them on like immediately, I didn't
inspect them. It looks used out there. You can tell

(23:57):
what it's been used. You could tell he was as
used it right, Yeah, you can tell you war like
when you picked him. For instance, Jason Kidd gave me
a pair of his his game Warren shoes air quotes
we're not warm, never have been worn. You can just
tell you that's a That's the thing though, like with
with sports stuff, you can kind of tell I think

(24:18):
for the most part, maybe you could probably tell it that.
I don't know that the casual fan can. There's other
things in life though. That's like you used once, thing
like you know when you see it like that, that's
been used like that. Well, like for instance Lebron and
Michael Jordan's game warrens, I don't know if they're game
warn All I can do is go off of the well,

(24:41):
it's you know, you gotta validate it. You know, when
you pay what I paid for him, you gotta it's
gotta be validated. So, now, has Brady Quinn sent you
at jersey? No, he's never sent me a jersey, and
I don't I don't don't put that old stuff. I
don't put that pressure on anybody. I would love to
have a Brady Quinn Notre Dame. By the way, I'm
just putting it out there. I think I got I

(25:03):
think somebody gave me a Brady Quinn card. I swear
to god, I'm reaching into my bag right now, and
you have one in your and like I don't. I
don't know why. No, no, because like they gave it
to me, and I don't know if it's in your bag.
I'm I'm gonna be I have a different opinion of it.
I think I really do think I have it. I
think I have that in a David Anderson, my buddy,

(25:25):
David Anderson's Cary should just start talking about I will
say a cute you know, Golden dome er like either
the helmet rookie card just gone, yeah, I got it
right here, A Brady please tell me you can he
does have a Brady Brady Quinn Don Russ rookie card,
and I got a David Anderson definitely has the cards.

(25:48):
And look at that right here. Uh, please tell me
you kept your helmet, though I did, because that was
like one of the only things that you like a
new for sure it was yours, but like some I
mean some of the jerseys and all that stuff, like
I remember being like, yeah, I'd love to get all these,
but like I didn't. I didn't. I don't know where

(26:09):
the hell they went an auction or eBay or something.
And look at this one of six this card touchdowns
at Notre Dame. That Brady Quinn. That means between Brady
Quinn and myself we have career touchdowns past. We had
over the century mark with a few Russian That's yeah.
I wish I would have been able to run more
in college. That's the one thing that like, I remember

(26:30):
when Charlie White scot there my last two years, he
would not want me to run. We didn't. We barely
even put in any like boots or nakeds. He just
he was like, nope, Tommy, didn't do it. I'm not
gonna really have you do it. The only time we
ever the only time we ever ran one. It's kind
of a sad story. We had. We had a sick
kid who we were going out to Seattle to play

(26:53):
Washington and Charlie was like, hey, well, what you call
the first play of the game, and he picked a
naked of boot We like happen to have one in
that week, and um, we got that. I was supposed
to be our first play, right, We got the ball
in our own one so literally washed it drove down.
I think they threw a pick or fumbled or something

(27:14):
like on our one yard line, and so I knew
what the openers were and I knew we were starting
with that play. It was just a matter of I
think it was like a pass, right, but whatever. And
I looked at him, He's like, we gotta run it.
I was like, you gotta be kidding me. I'll gonna
run out the back of the end zode like there's
no room back here. And I ended up throwing a
completion of a sign on the flat and then he

(27:35):
like hurtled some dude to go like maybe twelve fifteen
yards and kind of start that drive. But but I
I still remember, like I was just like, oh man,
I wish I would have been able to run more
draws or just zone reads. All the kind of stuff
now that you've seen, because there is there a moment
from your college career that makes you emotional, like in

(27:56):
a good way, like in a positive way, probably probably
the last time being out there on the field, I mean,
just knowing that that was it, Like I mean, my
my my buddy, my best friend Shinna doing Duke way.
We he came to my hometown in seventh grade and
like we played baseball, basketball, football, everything from then on
moving up like our entire lives. Dude, Like we went

(28:18):
to college together, we roomed together. We got drafted in
the same division. He got drafted to Since and I
was drafted to Cleveland. Like we just had a really
unique experience between two friends that like, I mean, he
was my receiver. He ended up changing to being a
dB in college. But um, it was just such a
it's such a unique path and experience, Like it was sad,

(28:39):
Like I just remember looking at him thinking like this
is it, man, Like this is you know, we we
decided to come here together and play and all that.
Like it was just, uh, I don't know. It's just
one of those crazy moments that like you always look
back on. You're like, man, it was. You enjoyed it,
you know it was. It's obviously a special place. If
you could go back and do it all over again,
would you do it? For sure? For sure? Like I

(29:03):
always say that to people because even if the results,
let me ask you this, even if they were the
exact same, you know. I'll put this this way, if
they were the exact same or even the chance that
it didn't go well, I would still go back because
it was that much fun to do it all over again.
Somebody pose that question to me, would you do it
all over again even if you knew you might not

(29:23):
have the same success that you did the first time around,
I'd still take that risk. I mean because because here's
the thing, for it was conflicted. Here's the thing. If
I wasn't as good at football as I was, I
probably wouldn't have ended up with with the family that
I have. I'm just being honest, relatable, Jonas My whole

(29:48):
thing that was, it was never about the end result.
It was always about the process, the game and all that.
Like I always just I love football. I've always loved football,
Like I just I wish I could go out there
and play it, wind, loser, draw, whatever like That's that
was what was always in my day. But now I
love the fact that I have a good, great looking,

(30:10):
gorgeous family. And I just don't know that I would
have had the confidence you would have had it. I
don't know if I would have had the confidence to
pull it on your sticks. Man, I don't know. Come on,
if I wasn't sticks, I don't know if I'd have
pulled it off. Some eleven is not just your jersey number.
It's a place. You're right about that what you're trying

I have a new microphone. Yeah, sound heard you guys

(32:03):
talking about Martin bought it for me. I didn't lock
my way. Your other one sounded ma Mayanna sounded Tenny
feeling pretty good? You do sound good? Yeah? Yeah, I
mean uh and and you know you need a little
bit of good news. I know you've been yeah, obviously struggling.
I mean the Dodgers, of course, but it's so hard

(32:26):
for me with USC and then seeing the Lakers look
the way they looked, and it's been a difficult time
for you. Yeah. Some say that I just feed off
the negativity, like a maggot on old trash, and then
you turn into a beautiful fly. It is true, though.

(32:48):
The only thing that bothers me about the Dodgers losing
is we have to like go back to the lab
and do like four hour shows every single day, and
that's the that's the hour four intro. By the way,
the Eric being Rock Camp like that for a long time.
It used to be the hour three intro and then
I had an hour so we had to come up
with a whole other song. But uh, I guess, like

(33:13):
we we shouldn't be so surprised. I mean, the last
three years, I think the Dodgers have won over a
hundred games and they haven't advanced, and it's just kind
of been a pattern. And the Lakers didn't do anything different.
It's not like they addressed their shooting problems. They look
exactly the same. I guess the one thing that kind
of freaked people out is that they never watched Lincoln

(33:35):
Riley play in conference in Oklahoma, and they don't know
that you're gonna lose on the road by one point
every once in a while. So the only thing that
really happened that was great was that really decisive Rams
victory over p J. Walker, very dynamic quarterback on the temple,
Mike Vape Baby Vape freaking just absolutely popcorn the whole

(34:01):
Carolina team, um pets Rose. Where does this leave um
USC in your mind? I mean it's interesting, right because
the Pac twelve now where they're doing away with the
divisions this year, it will be the top two teams
playoff and between USC, U, C l A or Oregon

(34:22):
and Utah who's still in it? Like you have four
teams that that may be able to take this thing.
I do see this whole thing plan out. Yeah, and
then a few other teams that can beat them, you know, right,
that's the interesting thing. Like USC's gotta buy and then
they have to go to Arizona. Now, Arizona is not
winning on a bunch of games this year, but they're
better than they used to be, and they have one
of the PAC twelves best passers and Jayden Delora. And

(34:45):
if they go up and down the field on USC
and s C goes up and down the field on them,
what's to stop the same thing from happening that happened
against Utah on the road and Rice Seckles, I mean
USC had a hard time at Oregon's eight and half.
That stadium is ripped down right now. There was like
thirty thousand beat fans there. Obviously, Rice cle it's not

(35:09):
a lot of Beeves. Isn't not enough and as that sure,
Rice Sackles, don't be like RG three, God, they're ruining
r G three guys. He might Yeah, I don't know
he was this last year. I don't know him and

(35:29):
I never got to train you. But that's not true.
You treamed me every week at this spot. It's very
difficult for me to watch the r G three games
right now. I was watching them the Oregon State game
when they were playing Stanford, and I mean, it's a
college football game. There's no parental control on the game.
You have to honor the players. Their parents are watching.

(35:52):
If you don't, they rip your ass on Twitter. And
r G three new to the West. As Stanford is drive.
They ended up losing the game, but Stanford is driving
an r G three's going, Oh look at they're beating
up that beaver. Oh yeah, you gotta beat beaver. Beat
that beaver up. Like I'm not even exaggerating. I'm like

(36:14):
Jesus Christ with this guy. And then he's doing the
Washington game a couple of weeks before. It's because he's
with that idiot Mark Jones, and that guy wants to
do an on camera every three plays. You know, let's
get an on camera show us, like show you why
we want to watch a football game. Why don't have
to look at you? And they were doing uh, they

(36:35):
were doing uh Washington and Washington's beating Michigan State. Michigan
State's a top ten team at the time. And you know,
Jaden Delora is a really good passer. So is Michael
Panics Jr. I mean, those are the two best passers
in the pack twelve right now. They just had a
big showdown put up like a thousand yards collectively. But
r G three is going, look at this big Panics energy.

(36:56):
Oh you gotta come with that big Panics energy. And
it's like, oh my god, what you know that this
was not you last year? Man, Like come on, and
it's like it's like the four have fun, you know
how he listens to two pros and a couple. It's
like it's like the fourth It's like the fourteen year
old who went to Lids and bought the cocks hat
for South Carolina that said, yeah, it might have been me,

(37:19):
but listen, he was giving him out as his presence too. Yeah,
I get stocking stuffers. Yeah you guys. You guys like
to run for college football teams. What about my cocks? Yeah,
now I would have got dumb with that setting upsetting
to me, I would have got dumb for that. What
you just did? You know? I don't know, It's just
I think that it's the thing we're talking about. South Carolina.

(37:40):
Come on and raise up. I agree, come on and
raise up that game cock. I get. I get a lego.
Look he's about to dump me, all right, all right.
I get a little bit protective when it comes to, uh,
the calling of college football games, whether they're important games
in some eyes or not. And r G three I
thought was a lot more. He had a lot more

(38:01):
potential last year. That's all I'm saying. But that being
said about USC, a lot of people here are complaining,
like USC got screwed by the rafts and there was
a couple of bad calls in there, but what about
the other ten? I mean, they literally had twelve penalties
in the game, and that kind of smacks of the
Clay Helton, Lane Kiffin, Steve Sarkisian era, So that doesn't

(38:25):
go over very well. You had a good win this
past weekend. By the way, oh, I love watching Georgia
Southern now one of my favorite teams. And is there
any chance for the Pack this year with any team?
I mean, U c l A is a really good
and but they still have a tough go. They gotta
go to Oregon this week and Oregon. You know, I

(38:46):
did an Oregon game and Oregon looks a lot like Oregon,
which is a weird thing. I mean, Oregon looks a
little bit like the Mike Ballotti era Oregon and some
elements of the Chip Kelly era Oregan attacking defense, simple
offense with a lot of different window dressing things. But
they only run like five plays. And bow Nicks has

(39:08):
utilized his legs and and he's a pretty good thrower
and exciting player, and they have I love their running backs.
And then the starter transfer from Minnesota, Bucky Irving's got
amazing balance and a really fun player to watch. So
I think that's gonna be a heck of a game,
one of the best games of the I mean, game
Day is gonna be there, so I mean it's not

(39:29):
big noon, but they're not gonna play that early in Eugene,
so that's a cool thing. And I think U c
l A. They have the most kind of control of
the games in conference so far, and they've played good
teams like Washington and Utah. Of course they went to Colorado.
But DTR looks more comfortable than ever. He's just sitting

(39:50):
back there and really relaxed. We've talked about Bobo and Charbonnat.
They hit some great transfers with the Murphy twins and
a lot too and his easy hearn and people like that.
So I'm really high on u c l A and
what chip is created, and we've talked about it here
on this show, the development that they've had and they've
plugged in the right holes with the transfer portal, and

(40:12):
I said that U c l A success is not
synonymous with who's in the in the crowd at the
Rose Bowl and it has come to fruition. God, I
love this. My well done, by the way, who you
got this weekend? What games you call on this weekend?
Petros did I've been knocked over to FS two two
weeks in a row because of the baseball stuff. This

(40:34):
time of year, the Pack twelve takes a bunch of
buys and we have baseball content on Fox and FS one.
So I dive deep, deep into the Mountain West in Utah,
stay Wyoming. Yes, yeah, we'll be. We'll be with the Pokes.
And then I think on Thursday next week I get

(40:54):
to see that Utah team up on Pullman. Uh and
then uh, then we have another Mountain West gape like
Washington State, or excuse me, Fresno State, San Diego State.
By the way, Labar is big in Wyoming. Can help
you up, Yeah, with some absolute had a life out
there in Wyoming. It's a big place for celebrities. Have

(41:16):
you been out to Jackson Hole? Nor? How was it?
I didn't want to leave. Did you ride a horse? No?
But I watched a lot of people riding horses. Okay.
The one thing that really tripped me out about being
in wyol what I was there as a ten year
old at one time was how much it rains at

(41:40):
night and hales and thunder and lightning a lot of weather.
We don't have that here. Huh. They have. They had pike.
They had pike fish to eat there. I had fright
pike I was, I was, I was. They had big
mouth big mouth bass like there's there's not they had wally. Yeah,
there was no shortage of freshwater fish. I was so

(42:03):
impressed with the fish selection selection that they had there.
And their steaks were good. So that's that's you want
you want to get me going that that's have a
have an array of fish, like like big mouth bass
like that's you know, bowl on the phone. Yeah, you
know a P. Who's the worst? Your best friend? You

(42:23):
found me some fish like that, my guy, P who's
the worst team you've seen this year? It's a great question.
Colorado State. I mean, there's a lot of that in
the Mountain West, and you just see it in football
today and you see it a lot. With the portal
to some of these teams is that they're going through
a transition. Like they were a run heavy team with

(42:46):
the Dazio as the head coach, and now they hired
Jay Norvell and he's going to be an arete guy
and he's gonna bring in what like thirty receivers they
only had like five on the roster, So it's just
a gigantic exodus and entrance of players. And within the transition,
it's hard to compete, you know, when you run an

(43:08):
air raid team and you can score like maybe fourteen
points a game, you're gonna struggle. And j Norvel knows
what he's doing. I mean he he had to take
over and change the whole thing in Nevada with a
lot less resources than Colorado State. But to answer your question, honestly,
I think it's Colorado State. But I did a Colorado
State Nevada ty game and Nevada got beat by Colorado State,

(43:31):
and then Nevada just got beat by Hawaii, So maybe
it's Nevada. And see now they're going through a similar thing,
except they used to be an air raid team and
their new coach, Ken Wilson wants to run the ball.
So I think that's the type of thing that you
run into in that regard. Can I expand on that question?
I want to step on your cue. But have you

(43:53):
have you been paying attention to the uh, the fofers
and and kind of the lack there of real offers
that are out there. I know you, you're you're connected
to the high school scene, this whole this whole fake
offers like phenomenon Holly Molly, Bro've been exploding off you're

(44:14):
talking about. It's like you can come here, you know,
come get a scholarship to Uh, I don't know what
are we talking about, South Carolina? Come to be a cock.
But you can't do it. Uh. If you don't make
the decision in twelve hours, this offer is going to explode.
So the exploding offer is always that's always been like
to be the exploding college. But it's the fake offers

(44:36):
that's like kind of running always been there though, well
both like there's always I remember sitting in up in
Michigan's office and not that they were pulled the offer,
but they're like pressure me that just commit that moment,
just comm commit right now. I was like, no, dude,
I need to think about this. U c l A
recruited me, offered me a trip, offering on the trip

(44:59):
back then they would offer you the scholarship. Two days
before the trip, they called me and canceled the trip.
You know, I mean, that's that's and I felt. I
was but hurt. You know, you're seventeen years old, but
and I did, but hurt now, But that yeah, I
don't think it's very different than what it used to
a lot of guys. That are out here posting blessed

(45:20):
to receive an offer, dotta dot and thereon following this
on Twitter, you know, I mean you might as well
try to keep track of where all the ants are going. No,
I mean, it's it's really it's the rats in New York. Yeah,
it's it's complicated, you know, it's it's a complicated process,
and it's really meaningless until they signed the letter of intent.

(45:41):
As you know, do you think that the transfer portal
has changed the way recruiting is taking place? Yes, uh,
in a few regards. You know, there's a lot of
unintended consequences of the different rules that we've made, you know,
like the four game rule, which was a great rule,
but now you mix that with the transfer portal, and
a month into the season, you've got a bunch of

(46:02):
guys quitting on every team and and and moving on
because they can get the season back. So a lot
of that stuff is made it more complicated. But I
think the one thing that we've always done in college
football on and off the field is a just and
adapt and these guys get paid a lot of money
to do that. And it's not like recruiting was this

(46:25):
orderly and very easy to follow business before the transfer portal,
you know, and it's always been a bit of a
rock fight, So I don't think it's gonna be uh
too much different. I think the people that keep their
players and their staffs together and then use the portal
as a supplemental thing are the ones that are going

(46:46):
to have the most success. Get him on Twitter at
the Old P's got a brand new mic. Sounds fantastic,
pet fantastic. We appreciate it. Just great stuff. The Old Pie,
The Old Pie, the Old Pie, pet Trus, Papa Vega's
co host of the Petros and Money Show on the Blowtorch. Yeah,

(47:07):
South Carolina or the Pokes. You know, if you're Wyoming
or or Oklahoma State, you're a you're a poke Pokes.
I wouldn't South Carolina. I wouldn't be offended to be
a South Carolina gets really but hurt is when you
call Oklahoma State oaky state. Yeah, they don't like to

(47:28):
get hot like that goes back to the dust Bowl
and like the Grapes of Wrath and the Ghost of
Tom Joad and they're like, don't you call us okay State? God,
my kindy gets so angry sometimes he's got a that's
got a giant tortoise on his property, though really that's
his pet. It's one of them. Yeah, yeah, one of them. Yeah,

(47:50):
those tortoises live a long time. Brady, riding on it,
I'd love to do. You imagine that, riding the tortoise.
Nice relaxing ride on a giant tortoise. Written Is it
that big where you can put like a seat on
it and sit on it? Walk you around? You'll drink
some mohito looking on what's your favorite mohito over still water?
I don't drink a lot of mohito's. I gotta be honest.

(48:12):
I'm not a rum drinker unless I go to Jamaica, Jamaica. Yeah, okay,
rich strip Now we're talking, yeah, Jamaica guns. Try to
get rid of any other Jamaican beer alcoholic name red

(48:33):
striped light guness that count? Okay, there's a lot of
vodka drink it. Yeah, Guinness Guinness. That's like the drink
in Jamaica is guinnesses. Yes, yeah, are you serious? Yeah,
Jamaica is very much linked with British thank you. Well. Yeah,

(48:55):
but anything you know, you can with the Crown. So
I'm not even gonna go into so Brady's Jamaican. Well,
when I was over, when I was in Ireland, I
did hear some stories about British putting some Irish over
and stop and then didn't really make Jamaica. I'm just

(49:18):
telling you what happened. Yeah, is that all right? Patris?
We appreciate it. We will do it again next week.
You guys know Shila Booths and a gang and got
jumped in. No real gang too, A real gang, a
real one. I realized it sounds central that like gang. Yeh,
I jumped in. Yeah, we were scared as hell of

(49:39):
that gang. And then I saw La Booth is in
the game. It was like, m No, it's no, not
that boy Wood. I don't want to get No, I'm not.
I don't see like like looking. Is he looking at
it for a role of a movie? No? No, no,
he's in the gang. Got jumped in both What does
that mean? Getting jumped in to get in to coming down?
