(01:02):
over ten thousand recommended installers. Tirac dot com the way
tire buying should be so um. The New York Jets,
they've decided on a quarterback for the remainder of the season. Now,
this is a stunning, stunning development here, but apparently it's

(01:23):
not going to be Zack Wilson. Here was the Jets
head coach Robert Sala talking about the decision. Mike, did
you a clearance? So he will be the starter. The
second quarterback, number two quarterback will be Joe Flacko. He
still has a huge plan in our future. And we're still,
like I said, we're not quitting on the young man.
We're gonna do everything we can to develop them. So
there's so there's that the status Mike White your starter

(01:45):
moving forward there for the New York Jets. Has there
been a coaching staff that has received less criticism for
the way they've gone about managing the quarterback position this year?
It's weird. Mean, let me just go through this eason
and you guys tell me what the hell is going
on in New York. Okay, So to begin this season

(02:07):
it's it's Zack Wilson, right, but then he gets hurt.
Instead of Mike White, it was Joe Flacco who comes in.
So then Flacco ends up eventually being dethroned by by
Zack Wilson because Wilson returns from injury, he's healthy, not
playing that great, and eventually then they insert Mike White

(02:30):
instead of Joe Flacco to get the next crack at it.
Mike White then gets hurt. He's out, and so instead
of going back to Joe Flacco, they go back to
Zack Wilson, but instead of Joe Flacco being the backup,
it's Christ Chris Traveler. I mean, I'm just I'm trying
to make sense of all of this, how it's gone about.

(02:50):
And then, of course, you know, Mike White's healthy again,
so then he gets reinserted back in as a starting quarterback,
but instead of Zack Wilson being the backup, because you know,
Robert Solid keeps telling us, we're you know, this is
the end of Zach Wilson. We're gonna see him again, Okay,
but now he's inactive and Joe Flacco is back to
being the backup. This has been quite possibly the most

(03:11):
mismanaged quarterback position or carousel that I've seen in a while,
and to me, it goes back to the initial benching
of Zach Wilson that should have never taken place for
the simple fact that if after all of this you
still miss the playoffs, what was the point. I mean,

(03:33):
what was the point of all of it? If you
still miss the playoffs? Even if you make it, Mike
White's not going to be the quarterback in the future.
It's no disrespecting Mike White. Have a lot of respect
for the ways handed himself and conducted himself through all
of this. He's, no doubt given this offensive spark when
he's in there as opposed to Zach Wilson. But they'll
go look the drafting of the quarterback next year. Like

(03:53):
I said earlier this season, where Jets fans got upset,
But that's the reality of how this league works. But
for some reason, Robert Sala has not received any criticism
whatsoever for how he's managed it, at least a comparison
to how Brian Flores managed things with Tour Tungboa and
that that, you know, yanking him back in and out

(04:14):
of the lineup with Brian Fitzpatrick. So I look at
this and say, I'm not surprised by it. I do
feel for Zach Wilson the sense of I wish they
would have gave him the entire season. If you're gonna
draft the number two overall, and you're gonna make that commitment,
then let it play out. You can't yank him out
of there and keep putting him back in and forth

(04:35):
where you never truly get to see if he could
fight through adversity and develop and become the player you
hope he's going to be, regardless of your team's circumstances.
That's just where it's at. So I do find it
convenient though, that after not having clearance from ten separate doctors,
that now Mike White four days later is clear to
be the starter again. It's it's a bit ironic that

(04:58):
that timing happened to work out as you now get
into your more difficult schedule moving forward the last two weeks,
having to go to Seattle and finish with Miami as
opposed to two of the worst defenses we've seen the
past two weeks in the Detroit Lions and and who
they faced this past week. I've just slipped my mind
the Jaguars, the Jaguars who also in the league. I believe.

(05:20):
I mean, listen of how dare you to discredit you know,
the medical uh people associated with the Jets that we're
looking at Jack will soon. Maybe the eleventh doctor saw
something on the scans that the tenth, ninth, eighth and
anybody before that didn't see. I mean, I I don't
think that's pretty reckless to go ahead in question you
know Mike White, Yeah, Mike White, Yeah, come on now.
Eleven times to charm you know, Elevin's the number of

(05:41):
our Stick City. They brought him back. We are they
brought him back, and bringing Mike White back under certainly
Stick City as a place, um and it's a place
probably whereas Zach Wilson will probably come visit and try
to find himself because they've they've told Robert Sillies told

(06:03):
the entire football world, in the New York Jets fan
base that outside of extraordinary circumstances or just an extraordinary happening,
that that Zack Wilson is not their guy. He's not Robert,
he's an active because they want to have the ability
to trade him. Glazier said that they're done with him. Yes,

(06:26):
I mean, you've told everybody you're he's not your guy,
That's that's what And we said this, I mean, if
we want to take another victory lap. We did say
that last week that if if for some strange reason,
the reasoning behind Mike White's aggressive approach to trying to
get cleared is so that he can play, and that
the Jets were actually waiting on him to get cleared

(06:50):
so that they could play him. After you made Zack
Wilson the starter. I think we said if he doesn't
have success in this game, that this could mean the end.
Like I think that was you Jonas that they actually
threw it out there, like this could be the end
for him. So I just I look at this situation.

(07:10):
It's not it's not seemingly going to magically get better.
You're not gonna say, Okay, we're getting the young kid
getting them right. We haven't given up on the young guy.
Like why even mentioned that. You don't even have to
mention that because conventional wisdom says what it says. The market.

(07:32):
It's like it's like testing a theory in the market.
You know what happens. The market will tell you what
you have and if it doesn't perform, then the market
has spoken. You can't say, the market is lying, like
the consumer is lying, no, you can't do it. And
and that's what's taking place right now. There's buyer's remorse

(07:55):
going on all over the league. I mean, think about
what's going on in Denver. I mean there's just a
whole lot of buyer's remorse going on. And there's buyers
remorse that's going on with Zach Wilson, and and there's
no there's no turning back from it. I would respect
the situation more if Robert Sala was a little bit
more candid about the scenario. You know, don't don't tell

(08:18):
me you're trying to get the young guy right, like, no,
we're trying to make it to the playoffs, and he
doesn't give us the best opportunity. I would like he
seems like that type of guy. I would I would
totally be even more of a fan like he he.
I became a fan of him watching the way he
coached the defense in the Saffran then the way he
came in and he brought his mentality. It isn't over

(08:39):
the top like some coaches maybe in terms of being
a tough guy coach. It isn't over the top. It's
just right there at at It's it's like it flirts
with meathead coach, but it's not like he's good. If
he would just maintain that that hard, hard kin type
of approach, I think he'd have more people buying into

(09:01):
the fact that you're going to move on from Zack Wilson.
I think this makes it messier because he's he's almost
trying to straddle defense and be like, look, we could
still use him. We were kind of into him, you know,
he just needs some more development. He needs to to
understand it, like no, man, like, just just let us know,
you know, and I think we'll respect you more and

(09:23):
and and what you have to say. Because now moving
forward to I mean you gotta look at it like, okay,
you know, silas of smoking mirrors, due like he's not
really going to tell you the up and up about
what it is, even though you expect him to be
that type of guy. It's the hard thing is now
the position they put themselves in. I mean, I think
they're more app to try to go after a free
agent quarterback this offseason, more so than draft one, because

(09:48):
you have to look at where the rosters at. They
are in a position to compete to go to the
playoffs if they have a if they just have competent
quarterback play. So if you look at the list of
potential free agents, I mean, you could have maybe a
Matt Ryan, depending on how things go in Inniapolis. Jimmy
Garoppolo will be a free agent. But you're concerned is
he's coming off an injury and he's had injuries his

(10:11):
entire career. Can he stay healthy. I can't imagine Tom
Brady would want to go to the New York Jets.
I could be wrong in that assumption, but there's a
number of players who could end up, you know, being
free agents after the season that have a veteran presence
that they might look at and say, this is the
best alternative because we don't feel like we can draft
the guy that we really love, or Phiel is ready

(10:33):
to play right away. You know, maybe Anthony Richardson from
Florida is available at that spot, but they don't feel
like he can come in right away and play. And
you could Anthony richard handle that media market and the
pressure and everything else that comes along with it if
he's still a player that needs time to develop when
they're in a win now mode. So I think the
veteran routes probably the route they're gonna go. And then
that leaves you to look at do they let Zach

(10:54):
Wilson sit there and continue to kind of soak things
in and develop, or do they move on a six
seventh round pick and cut ties. Now, it's probably best
for both parties to do that. At least you give
him a fresh start somewhere else with a team that
wants him, and you give yourself an additional you know,
draft pick, and you admit a mistake and you move on.
You know, that's probably it was what makes the most

(11:16):
sense for the Jets after this season. But you know, look,
Zax in a tough spot. You know, he's not gonna
have anyone who's really pounding on the door to bring
him in and give him a shot to start. He's
gonna have to earn it back, either through good play
as a backup, through injury, or maybe a quarterback competition.
But either way, um, I think there's probably some things

(11:36):
that were taking for granted. And as I said, when
it first came out, everyone got all excited about him
being into moms and everything else along with that. How's
that looking now, Yeah, it's by the way, if I
was at Wilson, I'd want to get the hell out
of there too. It's over. And just that the reaction
early on in that game, just from the fan base

(11:56):
that's completely turned on him, by the way, fan fan
base that was so sensitive of anybody ever was critical
of Zach Wilson, you know, over the past year plus.
Now all of a sudden they've turned on him. Robert Salez. Hey,
but no, no, no, no, no, you can't do it.
Let me, can I throw out a possible scenario for you.

(12:19):
If we're going veteran quarterback next season for the Jets,
all right, and you're looking around and maybe you want
to make a deal. Are you calling up green Bay?
Say who's who's on the trade block? Is it either Rogers?
Is it Jordan's Love? Are you at least well, I'm

(12:40):
just saying, like a legit option, But I'm just saying
who who would be? Who would you think green Bay
would be more likely to trade or be willing to
trade Rogers or Jordan's Love? After this season? The clear house? Okay,
because I wonder if they would call you get rid
of his Aaron Rodgers contract, they get rid of both

(13:02):
of them. Hold on now there, if they went out
there in the playoffs, yeah, I mean, they're gonna beat
the Vikings this week, but they got them at home.
There are three point favor last time I check. I'm
just saying, like, if they go into the playoffs, I
don't know why Green Bay would be itching to get
out from underneath that contract when he's under contract for
another two years. Yeah, I get it. What if they

(13:23):
don't make the playoffs. I just think that this was
a wild year for them and it just didn't look good.
If they limp into the playoffs and and when the
super Bowl, then I look like a brilliant, brilliant guy,
and I will take my victory lap um and you know,
Packers in the super Bowl. I'm gonna tell you what's
crazy is Baltimore Ravens are going to make the playoffs

(13:45):
as well, and and so both my teams will still
be alive. You know, Derek car will be with the
Jets next year. I'll tell you another one. Give me one.
Jimmy Garoppo, Low, Yeah, that's not it. That's not a
spicy doesn't need to be spicy. I'm just saying, all right,

(14:06):
I think that does make the most sense. All right,
let's go around the horn. All right, somebody's getting traded
to the Jets. It's got to be a quarterback. I'll
take Rogers, Burnos got Derek Carr? Who else has got one?
Let's just throw them all out there, because one of
us is going to be right, Yeah, trade, it's got
to be a trade. They're bringing in a veteran. Come on,
but one of us is going to get it right,
so we can we can claim it if they don't

(14:28):
trade anywhere. Okay, but what if they just then, Lee,
we'll delete all this stuff and then no Jet fans
as proof of it. So let's just go ahead, like,
let's throw something on on on the grill here, Let's
let it heat up a little bit, and then if
it's ready to go, we'll serve it. Alright, Lee, we
got one Baker Mayfield? Okay, I mean this year though, Yeah,

(14:48):
come on, it's got to be a trade. Let's get juicy. Yeah,
let's do what Jon said. Yea, throw somebody out there.
There's here, Okay, they all right, Kyler Burry there one
that's all that's interesting. That would be far who you got.
Let's go do a trade? Come on about Lance. Okay, okay,

(15:12):
how about it? Way can you imagine that that'd be great? Alright,
so listen, I think we've thrown enough out there, and
if these would be better if Garoppo side with the
Jets and then all of a sudden, Trey Lance gets
traded there, that'd be that'd be fantastic. But it's a
man they really have. And now that you bring up,

(15:33):
by the way, the comparison between Robert Sala and Brian
Flores and they're handling up quarterbacks, it is true. Nobody's
mismanaged a high draft pick quarterback since Brian Flores, like
Robert Sala has and yet free pass. And you know
what I think it is because he wears a long beanie. Yeah,
but I think he went way hard. Everyone is that

(15:54):
you're stupid. I think he went way harder on that
then Floras did on onto a dance Flora, yake him out,
like deactivate him? Did he Come on? Man, I'd rather
get pulled out of a game like yeah, I'm messing
it up, or man, I don't know why I can't

(16:15):
do anything right, Like I'd rather be in the game
than be deactivated like multiple times. Well, this is now
multiple times he's deactivating, but on the road. One was
against Denver. They lost that game. The other game was
against the Raiders and the only reason that Miami won
that game, and he had all these these Brian Flores

(16:37):
ball washers were like, oh see, he made the right move.
Ryan Fitzpatrick won the game for the Dolphins. First of all,
he nearly got his head ripped off. I forget who
was it a god? Who was the guy for the
Raiders that that made the play and got no, no, no,
it was it was a d n made to play
for the Raiders and almost ripped Ryan Fitzpatrick's head off,
and they got called for a personal foul and then

(16:59):
they went on the field and kicked along field. But
it wasn't like Ryan Fitzpatrick being brought in won them
the game. Yet everyone made it seem like that was
the proper move to make deactivate a player. You can't
do anything for me, I can't. I can't put you
in and say nope, I don't know that he can
focus on out there. Yeah, he go what he's got,

(17:22):
he's got he's got either interests out here by did
you see Zach Wilson's mom was going at it with
some Jets fan on like snap face or something like that.
One last trade, by the way, one last trade, said
Russell Wilson. Okay, well, hold on. Now, Robert Sala was

(17:43):
in Seattle. There's some familiarity there. It's a system that
he'd be familiar with, one that has a great defense,
good rushing attack. He wanted to be in a bigger market.
It's the bigger market that for his post career aspirations
he wants to be in. I'm just saying, if the
Jets could make something happen there, what would be his

(18:07):
catchphrase when he went to New York after this season?
Let's fly, Let's let's fly, Let's fly. Think about this,
if the if the ownership group, if the ownership group,
and let's just have it. Let's fly. You know it. Actually,

(18:35):
it does kind of make a little bit of sense
if thee will. So he so he got it all
the cash from Denver. Yeah, and that's why he didn't
get all them. But that's why he didn't get all over.
But that's why I didn't get all them bit rooms
in his house because he wasn't playing on his than exactly.
So he was what's the ratio bedrooms, the square four bedrooms,

(18:59):
twelve bath rooms. I like four bedrooms twelve bathrooms. I
get that, Like, if this isn't a bedroom in the bathroom,
you have a place to poop throughout your your house.
I want to know the square it's always it's like
a one square square foot home. Yeah, can we get
the square foot bedrooms? Score, but twelve baths Yeah makes sense. Okay,

(19:22):
I understand. You gotta everywhere, you gotta you gotta a
place to take a crap every every you got to
go to the bathroom. When he comes square feet, you
go all right? So listen, Yeah, I had a square
foot house on key. Would you stop being so relatable

(19:43):
and fell asleep? I would fall asleep in certain spots
in my house and wake up and be confused as
to where I was at samee saying if I could
have gave reports back then, Like I woke up and
I was like, every time I wake up in my

(20:04):
foot on I'm like, where the hell am I? That
was that the house with the Yeah, that was the
Koi Pond house. Yeah, I had some interesting memories from Yeah,
that was where I had the duel with with the crab.
I was I was crabbing. Wait what And I was
put I was putting off whatever, I was putting all

(20:26):
the crabs into the you know the barrel. H yeah,
and this one crab, this one crab got loose and
that happened. And he was I mean he was he was.
He was postured and posed on me like he was
looking up at me. I was clearly taller than he
had his pinchers ready to go, and I was just like,

(20:49):
hanging from your belt buckle. I mean, you're actually just
going to my I mean, are you doing the Gillette?
I mean, y'all, y'all are so focused who started it?
I mean, you guys are so focused in on my
pelvic region. I mean no, it's Bert to too, not

(21:12):
not cute, but Berto and Jonas so dumb. Well, No,
it's good anyways. And the way the way those crabs walk, dude,
it's it freaks me out. Every time that's sade the side.
They just they move so fast side to side. You
don't expect that. All I know is I get I'd
let that crap go because of the way he made

(21:36):
me feel the passion behind his eyes and his pinchers
that he wanted to survive, and I free the rest
of them. So he basically instead of us going from
old baying them and eating them with some red potatoes,
they were freed into back into the set the Whitehall Creek. Yeah,
I let them all go. More of a story as

(21:57):
as you gotta be a fighter. You gotta hope that
one is willing to fight put it on the line,
and the rest of yet well. And also LaVar doesn't
want crabs. It's true. It's like the worst punch line.
You forced me talking of crowbar forced? Do you want crab?

(22:19):
I love crabs. It's corn. Yeah it was corn. It
was forced. But it's all right. You have crab. You're
acting like a crab in the barrel. How about that.
Stop trying to pull me down, jonas A. That is you.
I saw you look down at least two times when
he was bringing it up joking, meaning that you're dealing

(22:39):
with that issue right now. You have a conflict right now.
You look down at least two three times like dang,
Like let me put this on lev Can you see?
Can you tell what's going on here? That's why you
went to the bathroom two extra times during the show
the day to prosing with that comb and that powder

(22:59):
out that ajax whatever it is that Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio, Very Jonas talks
in the air. Alright's coming up next. We've got one
player who could be on his way back, a player
in the NFL could be on his way back, and

(23:19):
it's a guy with Super Bowl experienced. We'll tell you
who that is right here on FS are be sure
to catch live editions of Two Pros and a Cup
of Joe with Brady Quinn, LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knocks
week days at six am Eastern, three am Pacific on
Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio. Got to
do better, Buddy man, dang to many people know, uh,

(23:44):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Jonah Man, you can hang out with us as
always on the I Heart Radio app. So we are
going to get into what the future may look like
for one team in the NFL moving forward at head coach.
So we'll have that for you here coming up. We'll
call it a little over ten minutes from now. But

(24:08):
Jimmy Garoppolo, is he getting back? Is he starting to
come back? Is he starting to want to take over
the job there for the forty Niners because apparently he's
gotten the cast off. The cast is offer Jimmy Garoppolo. Uh,
the Brock Purty experiences off and running. They are rolling,
are the forty Niners. But Jimmy Garoppolo is on his
way back. He has not been put he's not been

(24:29):
made inactive alright, He's not out for the year, alright.
He still remains on the active rosters. So there's a
potential that we could see Jimmy Garoppolo at some point.
So are we going to see Jimmy Garoppolo take another
snap for the forty Niners this season? With the way
brock Party has played, all right? Who wants to take
first day of this? Right? This is gonna be interesting.

(24:50):
I I feel like, um, we all kind of buy
into the hype right when the backup comes in and plays. Well.
Were were having that conversation in Dallas, but us here, Yeah,
I mean we had that we remember, I can't feel
the rush USh rush. We got people seeing um, you know,
seeing Mike White come in. They're all hyped around it.

(25:11):
Chris Traveler came in, plus Zach Wilson. That got some
cheers when they got a first down. Um, I just
I feel like that's how we all want to feel
until it comes with screeching hull. And I'll be curious
to see if, if you know, what's happened with Brock
pretty does or not because there's such a good team
around him. I mean, let's be honest, they got the
number one defense in the NFL. They've averaged over his

(25:33):
three starts. Okay, they've averaged a hundred seventy seven rushing
yards a game. So just to put that in perspective,
that'd be second in the NFL about like a yard
or two to Chicago, who runs the ball more than
anyone else because adjustin fields in the rushing attack. Um,
but they've literally been one of the better rushing teams
since he's started the past three games. And look, Garoppolo

(25:55):
averages about two and twenty yards passing a game like
they always this year, that's where the stats have been. Uh,
Pretty hasn't actually gone over that number, and he's averaging
a little less. So I just we haven't seen there
really be a game where Purtty has had to carry
this team, and I don't know if you will. And
so it then comes down to the question of does
Kyle Shanahan make the switch because he feels like he's

(26:18):
got more upside with Jimmy Garoppolo or keep brought in
the hot handed with what they got and Brock Purty.
It's gonna be fasten to see based on how this
thing finishes. I I tend to think if Jimmy Garoppolo
and the Niners have a plan for him to make
it back this season, then they want to play him.

(26:40):
That's what I would assume. Otherwise, it's like, you know,
get your foot healthy, we'll run it back. But if
if they're you know, if they're in you know, I
guess in agreement and and collaborating on Okay, we're not
gonna put him on the i R where we're gonna
rehab him. We're gonna get him back and see if
he can go. I would assume that that's because they're

(27:03):
going to want his services. Now. As how that applies
to to Brock and how he plays, you know, I
don't know. I mean, can he play well enough over
the next couple of couple of weeks? Is it is
it even feasible to think that you're looking at him
and saying if he plays well over the next two
weeks we write that hand into the playoffs, is that feasible?

(27:29):
And then if the answer is, well, if you have
the choice between him and Garoppolo, are you going to
chance you know, Brock not being prepared for something that
the other quarterback has a lot of experience in in
those games. You know, playoffs are are much more difficult,
uh intensity level wise than than regular season. So I

(27:51):
would I would say if they're trying to get if
it's a discussion point, if that's something they're trying to do,
then I would assume they're preparing to try to you know,
to late him at the Raiders home against the Cardinals
their final two games, so basically two bye weeks to
finish off the I mean, come on, man, what the
hell was that on on Christmas Eve night for the Raiders?

(28:14):
I mean, what was that that was? But is Derek
Carr leading the league in interceptions? Is that that's not
Maybe he's got to cry more. Maybe that's what the
missing I think they just wanted. I just think they
wanted to honored Franco Man. Yeah, I honestly think that

(28:37):
that's why they gave the game away the way that
they did. It's like, listen, man, like, let's lose this
hard funk game late in the game. Um for Franco. Yeah,
let's do it for let's miss Renfro's miss Franco. It
was the immaculate missed reception. Yeah, the immaculating the immaculate interception.

(29:02):
There you go, the immaculate interception. That's what that makes
all the sunse in the world of me. Um, That's
what I would go with because honestly, like, you know
what else would would it be for the last Vegas?
By the way, wouldn't it make Kyle Shanahan's decision easier
if brock Party would just do the noble thing and
go out and play like crap once, just so one
of these games just play awful. So at least Kyle

(29:23):
Shannon can go Okay, now I know what the floor is,
let me go ahead, and uh once once Jimmy Garoppolo
comes back, let's go ahead. He's never been put in
a position to play bad, though. I mean, think about
think about how well they've run the football. I mean,
you're seeing Christian McCaffrey run off, you know, a ten
yard clip at a time. It seems like guys he's
throwing to our wide open? What was the touch of

(29:45):
the kill cod down the middle of the field. There's something.
There's other receiver right next to them. They're both the
same vicinity. They were both open right there together. It
was like that open together? Does that work? What do you?
What do they say? The type of coverage are you in? Hey?
Like that's what I would have looked over. I like,

(30:07):
what type of coverage are y'all in? He who throwing
throwing the yo? Ass? What type of coverage is this?
What is this? Two of them open in the same place.
Come on, y'all, but help you out here. Shouldn't that
be easier to cover the closer they are? Shouldn't it
be easier to cover Cosan Anthon genius? Man? It seems

(30:29):
like there's always dudes running wide open. I mean, maybe
he's gonna try to get three guys running together wide Oh.
I mean maybe he just looks at new and improved
ways to appease himself or entertain himself, Like I'm gonna
get three guys running in the same space? Why ass open? What? Hey?
By the way, is Nick Bosa now taking the lead

(30:49):
in defensive M v P? Are we looking at balling man.
That defense is ball and they are moving faster, you know.
That's that's the thing I love about when you see
a defense come together and and they have personnel, they
just move faster. You can see it. Like, So that's
going to be that that that type of defense where

(31:12):
you say, you know what, they might they might be
the ones that give the most fits to a Bengals team.
They might give the most fits to a Kansas City team. Like.
That's that's the type of defense you want to see
going into a matchup against a high powered offense. So yeah,
I like the way. So I've been telling you I'm

(31:32):
rotting San fran train, but it would be interesting. I'm
curious to see as well, um what they do with
the quarterback situation because it's I mean, it's not a
bad position to be in for certain. It's two pros
and a cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio.
All right, So coming up next, we're going to get
into some rumblings regarding a coaching search in the NFL,

(32:57):

three o'clock Pacific. Um. And we're gonna have a ba
Q News coming up tomorrow. I can't wait for that.
The funniest stuff to get to, A little Florida edition,
little Shenanigans from from Florida. Who knows, maybe we'll get abe,
get all Florida, maybe get two of the three stories
from Florida. Are you just really trying to get Florida
news in there, because it just, yeah, it feels like

(33:19):
that's the state you go to their Florida. It wasn't
the last time you listen to him, you know, I
mean listen, sometimes you say it's brought to you by
the great State of Florida. And then sometimes you say,
by the way, it's so passive aggressive. That was super passive.
How's the passive aggressive? It's weird. It's like Jonas feels
like the show should be a certain way, and so

(33:40):
he tries to really passive aggressive force in that direction.
That's that's that's not accurate at all. By the way,
I got your ten dollars right here, you know what
I'm saying. Oh wow, um, So we're talking about our
friends listening on the blowtorch Am five seventy l A Sports.
They do have a play team in the NFL. It's

(34:01):
the Chargers. We talked about that to start to show
they clinched the playoff spot last night with that win
over the powerhouse Indianapolis Colts, who are on quarterback of
the season for the Indianapolis Colts, and the Chargers get
it done. So I would assume, and we brought this
up earlier that if you know Brandon Staley, let's say
he's gonna be safe and his job is gonna be

(34:22):
safe moving forward because they made the playoffs. The other
rumblings out there when it comes to Sean Payton, obviously
we talked about it with Nathaniel Hackett gone and vic
Fan Joe's defensive coordinate, but maybe that doesn't make sense.
But now you've got the Cowboys story that's out there
and Jalen Hurt status for coming up coming off that
loss to the Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles look like we

(34:44):
might get Gardner Minshew playing again this week because Jalen
Hurt status is up in the air. So now the
rumblings came out that Mike McCarthy could also be on
the hot seat as well too, and maybe that Sean
Payton to Dallas stuff starts to churn up again. My
question and is if Dallas and that game against Philadelphia, Look,
Dak Prescott had the interception early on, that's got to

(35:07):
be one of Dak Prescott's best games that he's played
as a Cowboys quarterback. That was an awesome game. Philadelphia,
you can argue probably should have won that game. About
Minshew played pretty well. But what's it gonna take for
Mike McCarthy to be safe from a job standpoint? What
does he need to do? That's it, That's it. So

(35:30):
so basically Sean Payton's looking around if the Chargers job
is not going to be available, if Sean McVeigh wants
to come back to the Rams and that's not going
to be available, and he's not interested in the Denver job,
if Dallas is the only one out there that he's
being rumored to go to, and Mike McCarthy, so basically,
McCarthy's got to win it all in order for Sean

(35:52):
Payton not to be the head coach of the Cowboys
next year. That's basically, yeah, if McCarthy does win it all,
by the way, I have no idea what Champagne is
gonna do with that all star staff that he's assembled. Yeah,
I guess true to the sidelines. Yeah, like it is
kind of it is kind of weird. Every job that
he's been rumored to go to, they're starting to they're
starting to go away. Brandon Staley just clinched a playoffs spot.

(36:16):
The Cowboys are on their way to the playoffs were
brought into the conversation. But I don't know how that
one works. Listen, I'm gonna start here with with Dallas.
Let's go back to McCarthy and and back on Sundays.
It was the first time we, you know, we had
the conversation about if this was a lose lose situation

(36:40):
for the Cowboys and if there was any way for
them to win in their game against you know, the Eagles.
And I would say with an astounding, you know, vote
of confidence, that this was the first time that I
could say I watched this team and said they're going
in the right direction, like this is this It looked

(37:02):
pretty good. It didn't look unimpressive at all what I
wanted to see. Because everyone I would sit there and say, well,
Jalen Hurts didn't play. Yeah, I say you're a hundred
percent right, But again, Jalen Hurts doesn't play defense, and
and I thought that Philly was a better team overall
even with Jalen out of the lineup, and we needed

(37:24):
to see if their offense could put together a game
that would say this is impressive. That game showed me
even without Jalen Hurts. That game showed me that Dallas
can make it through the NFC. That's what that game
showed me. The way they played in that game, Dallas
can make it through the NFC to the super Bowl.

(37:47):
So that's that's what. I haven't had that feeling coming
out of a game watching Dallas all year long, but
but to have that right now that I think that's
that's pretty important. So I think Dallas is in in
good shape. But to that point that I almost feel

(38:07):
like that puts that type of pressure that Q just mentioned.
It puts more pressure on Mike McCarthy to have that
type of success. So you needed it, though. They needed that.
When you're gonna begainst the backup quarterbacks. Say what you
want about Phillies roster. They come off a disappointing loss
to the Jaguar is almost losing the Texans. I think
they needed that when to change the reception and your

(38:28):
mind and all those are the people who are doubting
the Dallas Cowboys what they're capable of, because if they
would have lost that game, it would have not looked good,
especially as Nick Sirianni yelled across the field, take it again,
if you take this, take does that you again? That game?
You so good? All right? So so there it is.

(38:51):
