Speaker 1 (00:00):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming up on
this Thursday edition, news and notes from around the NFL,
including do we have an answer at the top of
the NFL Draft? Where is Carolina gonna go? We think
we know. Also, the New York Jets think they know
what's gonna happen with Aaron Rodgers. We are a little
bit skeptical. We're gonna hear from Albert Brier on all
(00:22):
the news and notes from around the league, plus the
latest on Lamar Jackson, with somebody with intimate knowledge of
the situation speaking up on it. We're gonna have another
edition of In case you missed it. We've got you
any you out and it's all yours coming up next
here It's two Pros and a Cup of Joe on
a Thursday, Fox Sports Radio. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
(00:46):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here. No, Brady Quinn,
he will be back next week, a little week off
for BQ. We'll make Yeah. Well you're not gonna feed
the Romers today, Well, yesterday is the PD suspension. I'm
gonna go, goy, what could today be? What's you going
with today? Let me think of that. What would really
(01:07):
bother some people? People is jumping out there like we
knew it, we knew he was leading. What when did
that happen? Yeah? No kidding, But nonetheless it is gonna
be lavarn I will work on an excuse for Brady
Quinn that'll piss some people off here before the end
of the show. How about he took some time off? Yeah,
(01:27):
that can work. Hey, Hey, how about let's let's go
with a option a here it took some time off? Yeah,
I got news for you. We're coming up on the
months where you're gonna start to hear some voices on
radio that maybe aren't normally in those time solos. It
is the season, everybody. I'm just letting everybody know that
that's gonna be happening around the corner here. Hey, man,
(01:49):
I listened to our shows this week, Bro, I'm not
I'm struggling. I'm struggling at to day football season. I'm like, man,
come far tight enough? I mean you know what, though,
when I've had to learn from coming from weekend overnights,
sometimes you just got to start spinning stuff out there.
(02:11):
Whatever you can throw against the wall, you just got
to throw it out there, because the reality is that
some of these stories have been discussed and talked about,
rehashed so much. But then there are new developments. Yeah,
just like the new development that we've got at the
top of the NFL Draft. And we're going to get
into that new development at the top of the NFL Draft.
(02:31):
And just a moment from now, right after we tell
you we are bringing this show to you alive from
the ti irac dot com studios. Ti irac dot com
will help you get there and unmatched selection, fast, free shipping,
free road hazard protection, and over ten thousand recommended installers.
Ti irac dot com the way tire buying should be.
So here is the development at the top of the
NFL Draft, which isn't until weeks away from now. The
(02:56):
development at the top of the NFL Draft is that
the Airlina Panthers had a bunch of representatives at the
Ohio State Pro Day. They saw CJ. Stroud throw had
nothing but great things to say about CJ. Stroud obviously
put on a hell of a performance. I think there's
only one quarterback that ever had a really bad performance
(03:17):
at a pro day, and it was Teddy Bridgewater back
from the because I think he wore gloves and it
kind of threw people off. But CJ. Stroud did have
a great performance. They also took him to dinner on
Tuesday night, whatever that means. I think they also took
Bryce Young to dinner last night, if I'm not mistaken,
because they're going to be an Alabama to see Bryce
Young later today. They're going to see Will Levis on Friday.
(03:39):
Anthony Richardson is next week. But nothing but nice things
to say about CJ. Stroud, And you would think, well,
they're just going and doing their due diligence unless you
pay close enough attention to the details. Because those betting
odds that we talk about when stuff like this pops up,
it's based on information and all of a sudden, if
(04:00):
you go to Draft Kings right now, CJ. Stroud a
four to one favorite to go number one overall to
the Carolina Panthers and to be the first quarterback taken.
Just two days ago, and we talked about this possibility,
it was about half that So there is momentum moving
towards CJ. Stroud being the number one overall pick. And
now we wait to see if there's any movement after
(04:22):
Bryce Young's pro day. But I'm calling it right now. CJ.
Stroud's going number one overall. Get it while the getting's good,
or you're gonna lose your ass on not making an
investment on CJ. Stroud going to Carolina. How about that sticks.
I don't disagree with you, I really don't. All I
would say is one I've been saying, I think he's
(04:44):
the safer pick. I do believe that. If we do
go into the history of our show, Yeah, I think
I am the one that came out and says CJ.
Stroud was the safer pick at one and I thought one,
even though a lot of people had Bryce slate his
number one. But I still think that there is a debate.
(05:08):
I think the debate is when when these these teams
are looking at these top three prospects for number one,
not including Will Levis, I think it still comes down
to how they perform at their pro day, what can
they build on from what took place at the combine
(05:31):
Those dinners that you're speaking of, they're super super vitally
important and they're important for the reasons that most people
wouldn't even take into consideration and think about this one.
And this might be breaking news to some people, but
they actually want to know, are you a good person?
(05:53):
Surely you know? You know? Are you a person? You know?
Are you just an athlete? You know? Are you just
a football player? Because a lot of times, you know,
that's what people deem, you know, athletes and football players.
It's like, oh, it's a football player, like you're a
football player. There's a football player, like, that's a football player.
I never knew what it meant. I still to this day,
(06:13):
I'm not clear on what that means. Like I was
just in the gym yesterday, and while I was at
the gym, this guy goes, you know, oh, basketball player.
I go, no, No, I mean that you should have
to tell me you weren't thinking about Burno hitting the
drop right then and there? Hey, you know what, I'm
gonna tell you The funniest part. I'm gonna tell you
(06:35):
the funniest part about the moment there right, The funniest
part is to that guy that'd asked me, I was
towering over him, so clearly he hasn't gotten out much
to see what a basketball player really looks like because
if you thought I was a basketball player, Boy, do
you have your basketball players mixed up? By the way,
(06:56):
if you saw me, you'd go water polo player. Yeah,
for sure that taxes. Uh, but I guess I guess.
My point is is that when you go to these
dinners and they're whining you, and they're dining you, they're
laughing with you, they're they're really probing you, and they're
(07:20):
really wanting to see is this someone that I can
connect with? Is this someone that emotionally I get stimulated
being around this person? Basically, do I believe in you?
I am going to invest the highest amount of capital
in the draft on you. Do I trust you? And
(07:44):
so those dinners are are very very critical. Um in
those in those moments where let me ask you this,
did it have any reports of the head coach being there,
like the offensive coordinator or any time the GM was
or was that in the report? Saw it? But I'm
(08:05):
just blanking on. Yeah, So I think Josh McCown, who's
on the staff, he was involved, Frank Reich was there.
There were It's I mean, it's everybody. I mean this,
If they were all there, I would say they one
hundred percent have him on their board as as a strong,
a strong, strong, strong um candidate to be their number
(08:28):
one overall draft picks. And by the way, that dinner
stuff that you're talking about, that that is a real thing.
That's how part of the reason why Trubisky went number
two back in twenty eighteen when the Bears moved up
one spot to take him. The story on Trubisky was
John Fox had no idea who was the coach of
the Bears at the time, but Ryan Pace fell in
(08:50):
love with Trubisky because they wanted to take him to dinner.
He was on their board, like you mentioned, as one
of the potential draft picks, and so when they went
to go meet for dinner, they told him, hey, you
make the reservation at a local steakhouse in Charlotte whatever
it was, because obviously he went to North Carolina, and
they fell in love with him because the name that
(09:11):
he used, because they said, we got to keep this secret.
We don't want anybody knowing that we're talking. The name
he used under the reservation was Jim McMahon, and they
thought that was so appropriate because they're the Bears, et cetera.
Et cetera. They met with him. He's a great guy.
Anybody really really really really good. Oh yeah. And also
just you talked to anybody, they'll tell you Trubisky is
(09:33):
one of the nicest people. That's why all his teammates
love him, except for Deonta Johnson that whole incident last
year in Pittsburgh. But point is, um, they fell in
love with the guy, the person, And when they went
out to the parking lot afterwards and they said, all right,
you know, we'll keep you posted, we'll be in touch.
They saw him drive away and his Grandma's like Honda Civic,
(09:54):
and they said, it's a humble guy. He's down to earth,
he's got a sense of humor. They fell in love
with the purse, and the next thing you know, he
goes ahead of Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes and all that.
So to your point, like that the people issue and
the people skills and just the social skills, that does
(10:14):
have an impact. And if they were blown away by C. J.
Strout as the person and he came off that well,
I find it hard to believe that he did anything
but improve his chances to go number one. Overall. Again,
I would agree with that, but Bryce Young is an
impressive young man. Bryce Young will have an amazing workout, which, again,
(10:37):
workouts don't really in my estimation, there's very little you
can take away from the physical aspect of a workout
unless you fff it up, you know what I mean,
Like like your boy and Jalen Carter, like, unless you
mess up, it shouldn't matter. It shouldn't he couldn't, should
(11:00):
be Jonas, It should be a formality. It should be
going through the motions, whether you're the number one, number two,
number three overall pick, it really doesn't matter if you're
at that point, at that place in the draft order,
so you can only jack up what you got going
(11:22):
on at Pro Day. Like otherwise, if you do everything
you're supposed to do, all it really is is an
opportunity for these teams to see you again, which, by
the way, because they are always on campus during the
course of the year and they're saying hello and different
things like that, and you get a chance to see
(11:43):
the pro scouts and the pro guys during the course
of the season. Maybe people aren't aware of that, but
the pro guys definitely, especially when you have a team
that's heavy with a top talent on the team or
a few top talents. There are a ton of scouts
that will be there. I can remember my last year
in school, it was like a pro day every like
(12:05):
every Thursday practice, you know, every Tuesday practice. It was
like a pro day. And so by the time you
get to this point, they know who you are. They
know how the coaches feel about you, they know how
the community feels about you. They know how the lady
at the grocery store feels about you. They know how
(12:26):
the person that you get your McDonald's off of feels
about you. They know pretty much everything about you by
the time they get to this point. So now it's
really just about how they feel, you know, confirming you know,
certain things that they may want to tighten up on
loose ends because you're about to again invest in a
(12:50):
heavy investment by having the number one overall pick, or
the number two pick, the number three pick, you know,
even four and five. So this really these moments with CJ.
Stroud and taking him out to eat, they probably wanted
to just go over you know, the grease board one
more time and you see what his understanding is of
(13:15):
of offensive schemes. Does he understand defenses, you know, look
at some route concepts, different things like that. I would
be curious as to how much time they spent with
him in a film session, you know, how much on
the board work was he doing in those meetings, because
I think the biggest thing is is that you want
(13:36):
you want to feel very, very confident and have an
overwhelming feeling going into the draft that this is an
NFL ready type of type of prospect. And I think CJ.
Stroud probably, I'm certain CJ. Strout was aware he needed
to be on his p's and q's on different things
(13:56):
like that and not leave that up to any type
of interpretation. And I think that Bryce Young and Will
Levice will equally be as impressive, if not maybe more impressive.
I'm looking for Bryce to probably be a more polished
version of of CJ. Stroud, And that's not a knock
(14:17):
against CJ. Stroud. I just think that my time that
I've had meeting those guys and meeting their families, you know, CJ.
Stroud is a pretty quiet, reserved, humble dude. You really
really like him. He's just a very unassuming type of guy.
You might not even know that he's famous or a
top prospect kind of like how you're talking about Trubisky
(14:40):
in terms of just a super humble dude. Will Levice
is is the same type of guy, like very very interesting,
very very almost like kind of like Kirk Cousin ISSH.
But I won't go as far as down the lane
of maybe the Christian part of it, because I mean,
(15:01):
nobody goes that far down the lane as Cousins. But
then Bryce Young, Bryce Young is it just I mean,
he's He's like the epitome of the embodiment of what
Nick Saban is as a coach. Now. It's it's pretty
wild to think that if it comes down to it,
c J. Stroud, great human being, great player. We saw it,
(15:23):
you saw it in person in the semifinal game, was
you know, best player on the field, especially before Marvin,
especially after Marvin Harrison got injured. And obviously we saw
Bryce Young what he did his entire career, Heisman Trophy, etc. Etc.
It's pretty wild to think that the entire fate of
the franchise in Carolina and everybody's jobs there are based
(15:44):
on five inches because that's what it's going to come
down to. Because if they're both great guys and they
passed the smell test at dinner, and you go through
all the evaluations and everybody you love both these guys.
Tie is going to go to who's the bigger guy,
and ultimately the entire fate of the franchise relies on
almost just about five inches in a difference between Bryce
(16:08):
Young at five ten and an eighth and c J.
Stroud measuring at sixty three. That's crazy. That's called that's
called I need a cigarette after experience. If it pays
off or I got boned. Um if it doesn't, Yeah,
the inches matter. So you know, in the end, if
if the you know, if you went on the lower
(16:31):
side of the inch measurement and you didn't get the
happy ending that you were seeking, Um, I think that
that's that's a heart one. Yeah, that's a heart one.
Now if you went fur the inches and you still
didn't get the ending that you were seeking, then maybe
(16:53):
it's a little bit more justifiable because you could say
it past the eye tests and you were hoping that
the performance at the eye test of what it is
that you went with, but it just ended up being
more of for show. So that's just how this co work,
you know, that's how this co work and yeah to day,
(17:14):
yeah you know what I mean? That could make sense
to day? Yeah, yeah. It is Two Pros and a
Cup of Joel Here Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Jonas
Knox with you here. We are brought to you by

(17:58):
Pros and a Cup of Jobs with Brady Quinn, LaVar
Arrington and Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three

Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here. You can hang
out with us as always on the iHeartRadio app. You know,
(18:20):
I was thinking to myself listening to the music coming
back the Music Bay, coming back into this show. Hey,
by the way, I hate to interrupt. People complain that
they can't hear the music on the podcast. Yeah, understand
that there's a rights issue. We can't just play whatever
music we want on the podcast. We can for a
(18:41):
short time on the air, So that's why we try
and mention what song is being played. If you're hearing
this on the podcast, it's Metallica. Is this Master of Puppets?
Is that the name of this correct? Yeah? So there's
that all right. I just want to clear that up.
So I came to the conclusion after seeing that one
(19:02):
of one of our listeners doesn't like the way I
sing um, and he said that the podcast gave him
the ability to fast forward me singing um. I came
to the conclusion that we should, possibly, like tomorrow, just
come back to every single song that I enjoy singing
(19:25):
like I was really I thought about sending that into
email when I looked at you know, the topics today
but I was just like, you know what, this song
just made me really kind of think about it. It's
solidified in my mind, like we should come back to
like slow R and B songs or you know, yeah,
(19:45):
just slow R and B songs so well, also some
three eleven you know, anything with like a so Whitney Houston.
Yeah that works too. Like you know the problem, Like,
here's the thing that doesn't make sense about people that
bitch about the singing. Like, if you're radio show and
people are singing, dude, you go. You pay money to sit,
buy drinks, eat food, and watch karaoke. You can't sit
(20:08):
through fourteen seconds of somebody doing an average to a
below average rendition of a song that's on the air. Like,
come on, what are we talking about. Well, I'm just saying, like,
you know, no, that's how you feel. That's the truth
came out. So he was right, No, no, no, no no, no.
Everybody who's singing these songs in real time in comparison
(20:30):
to the singer is going to sound average to below average.
It's about having fun. I think you just hurt my
feelings badly because of all in my mind I kind
of felt like I sound just like everybody that I'm singing. Okay,
I've told you this, and this is coming from somebody
who's had singing vocal lessons and has been in a
(20:51):
band for many years. You and Brady have under the
radar voices, like I would say, underrated and under the
radar because when you look at you guys, you think, oh,
that's somebody that could light me up. It's just like
the guy in the gym who said, oh, you must
be an NBA player, which is blatant racism. If you
asked me, well, he didn't even say you must be,
(21:12):
or he said you you NBA player, you basketball player? Tank.
I think I think my name's LaVar. What's yours? I
think you know, by the way, I think I just
got a visual the uh the internet. Well, the funny
thing is your visual is wrong. Yeah, but he you
(21:33):
know he is it? Berno? Yes, okay, very good, All right,
Oh no, it wasn't It wasn't. No was gonna say, yeah,
I didn't know you worked out. Never mind. Never, I'll
just leaving it alone, leaving it alone, not even touching it.
But point is, why couldn't you be something other than
(21:54):
an NBA player? You know that I mean, an NFL
player would have made more sense, you know, it really
would have. Um, but I guess I didn't look like
a football player. I wonder what he would say to
Alan Fannica if he saw him, well these days now,
(22:15):
these days, he probably say, you do my taxes? Yeah,
like it, not realizing he was a mass murderer when
he played as an offensive lineman, destroyed people as an
offensive lineman. And I will say this, I will say,
I just feel like athletes are bigger these days. Like
(22:35):
I met Darren Waller the other day, um, very very
very kind young man. By the way, what a pleasant
dude to to um, what a like just I was
blown away by how humble that dude, that dude is
man like. I really enjoyed meeting him. But there were
a host of other UM athletes that I was at
(22:58):
this uh this summit for Interscope in the NFL, and man,
there they just don't look human anymore. And I know
people will be like, oh, LaVar, you're you were big,
and you like, yeah, I just don't. It just doesn't
feel the same, like I don't know, like Courtney and
(23:21):
Courtney Brown to me is one of the most freakish
athletes you will ever see in terms of the way
he's built, the way that he's able to move, just
one of the freakish things you'll you'll ever see. Javon
Curse is one of the most freakish dudes you'll ever see.
There's a few that I can say that probably fall
(23:42):
in line with what today's football player looks like, but
it still seems different for some strange reason. They just
look different, man, And it's kind of interesting, like just
the look of them, the texture of them. They just
they look different, bro, especially Lyman. Start him early and
(24:04):
by the way, to your point on Courtney Brown, six
four two eighty five, big dude, no four. Now he's
like six six, Ok, he's a real six six. Yeah,
he's a real six six, real a real six six.
Because he towers over me, so he makes me look small. Yeah,
(24:25):
so hey, keep singing. Who cares people don't like it?
Tell him to kiss your ass, That's what I do. Yeah, Well,
it hurt my feelings, buddy, You know that that tweeted
mean that that's the best part of the podcast. Like,
it really hurt my feelings. I'm gonna lie like I've
been called a lot of things on Twitter. But I
gotta say me being talked about with my singing has
(24:49):
probably been one of the fewer times that I've been
impacted by somebody's message on Twitter. Well, I will say this,
despite what he wants to say, you look great, especially
because you got a clean shade. Of course, save Dollar
Shave Club because if you're still over pain for a
razor in this economy, it's gross. It's gross. With Dollar
Shave Club, you can get a top shelf shave at
a regular shelf price. Dollar Shave Club is available to
(25:09):
store near you and the men's razor aisle. That's it.
That's the add So coming up in about fifteen minutes
from now, fifteen minutes, there's somebody in the NFL one
of the all time grades. Someone he's an all time grade.
Turns out it's a heat right, Yes, turns out he's
exactly like you, the person listening. This guy's exactly like you.
We're gonna give you the evidence of that. Yes, now
(25:33):
you personally, well, actually, no, I think this. I think
this relates to everybody. It's a moment that relates to everybody.
I can relate to you. Jas, Wow, you've got a
lot in common yeah, yeah, we do. Yeah, absolutely, Hammers. Hammers.
So we do have something near and dear to your heart.
We got something near and dear to your heart. Leavar Rington,
is this We've got an update on the possible sale
(25:55):
of the Washington Commander. So there's a new potential buyer
that has emerged. Me try this is probably gonna take
a couple of takes here. Steve Apostelopolis nice track, a
billionaire from Canada. If I got that wrong, I want
to apologize to mister a. I got that wrong. Yeah,
I'm not even gonna try it again. He's a billionaire
(26:17):
from Canada. He apparently toward the stadium and the team
facility recently. By the way, when he toured the stadium,
that probably, uh probably deterred him one into both. The
place a whole lot of work too, right, Hey, can
we get the seats back that we took out so
we can fill the place up again? You see, I
want to have to do a whole lot of renovations.
(26:39):
He so apparently there are three known bidders thus far.
The asking price from Daniel Snyder is seven billion. That
was what was thrown out there Forbes listed the franchise
value at five point six billion, so a little bit
off as far as what Danny would like and what
the Forbes listing the actual value as. But there's three
(27:00):
bidders thus far. I'm just curious are there any sellers?
Because until they decide to actually go through with this,
it feels like these stories are just wishful thinking from
everybody who wants Dan Snyder out. We talked about it
last week, didn't it when we talked about it on
Friday last week? Didn't the way it was message make
it seem like it was imminent, like this was going
(27:21):
to happen in the next couple of days. That Dan
Snyder and them they've already cleared out the facility, all
that stuff. I just wonder he apparently throughout the feelers
and put the team up for sale back in November.
What happens if this drags on because he thinks he
can get more bidders, and all of a sudden they
get closer to the season. You've talked about how much
(27:43):
he loves the team. What if they get closer to
the season, What if God forbid, they're actually decent? What
if Dan Snyder just says, you know what, I love
this too much, I'm not getting rid of them, and
just decides not to sell, Like it just feels like
we're at the same point where everybody wants to throw
out pretend bidders and buyers. Yet the seller hasn't really
(28:04):
made the decision that he's ready to part with the
football team. I'll say I won't fully agree with that.
And the reason why I think that, again, the reason
why I think that they are selling the team, it's
just going to be a process that they're going to
(28:26):
have to go through in order for it to sell,
is because of the the investigation. I think the Nail
and the Coffin, where he may have lost the support
of any of the other owners was with this whole embezzling,
you know, accusation or different things that have come out.
(28:50):
I think that that's the Nail and the coffin. Jonas Honestly,
for me, whether it's a couple of weeks or whether
it's a couple of months, I think that the idea
of why things progressed the way that they did seemingly
so suddenly, because I would have been there with you,
right I would have been right there with you in
(29:11):
terms of saying because I've even said it. I don't.
I don't think that he's going to sell this team.
I just don't know, Like I just know from my
own experiences which things can change because of experiences in life.
But you literally have to pry that team from his
dead body, like from his dying left last breaths to
(29:35):
get that team from him. Like that's how into that
team he is. I mean, I'm sure he died of
slow death when he had to change it from like
on his time, on his watch, they had to change
that team's name. Oh god, remember that battle back? Oh god,
don't look at some of the quotes he gave. By
the way, you remember when he hired a leader from
(29:59):
a group that represented Native Americans to say he was
not offended by the name and this is just fake outrage, etc.
Say he went to the end to make sure that
he didn't have to change the name, and that probably
still bothers into this day, and not for any other
reason than he had to change the name. Yeah, that's
(30:22):
the name that had the sentimental value connected to it,
so many other things I'm sure would it represented to him.
But where we are now, I think there's two things
I play as the reason why I believe he will
sell one I've already given you. And then the second
one is how much can your family take? You know, like,
(30:45):
for what it's worth you're going to get who knows
how much you're going to clear, all right, but you'll
clear enough money out of this sale. I'm assuming. I'm
just just assuming you'll clear enough money out of this sale.
Where if you're never a successful businessman ever, again, you
you should not have to worry about money ever. Yeah,
(31:09):
So if that's the case, that that you know what
you're you're facing and what you have going on, where
you're going to be compensated in a way where you
are wealthy beyond measure with the cell of this team. Um,
why would you Why would you sacrifice your family? Is
(31:32):
what I would would offer him. And I don't want to,
you know, even knowing how I feel about the dude,
I don't. I don't like to kind of get into
talking about people's personal business, you know, talk about family, wives,
kids or anything like that. But in this scenario in particular,
it's pretty interesting. Tanya Snyder is a and this is
(31:55):
the reason why I am talking speaking on her is
because she was pretty much the acting owner of this team. Um,
in recent times, she's a fine person, Like a fine
fine person, well respected, well, very very intelligent, well spoken,
(32:17):
represents herself and her family very very well. From all
my interactions, UM, not one bad thing to say about her,
and and so to me knowing she's been holding it down,
and from like guy talking to like guys like France
Smooth and a few other guys, UM, just really really
(32:41):
really people felt good about her. So you know, I
just I just think that you don't want to keep that.
You don't you don't want to lose your family to
keep this franchise. And it's I guess the biggest question
Harry is Jonas. How much more can she take of
hearing the things that she's hearing? And how much more
(33:03):
can the kid take or the kids. I don't know
how many kids he has at this point, but how
much more can his family take, you know, in terms
of all the things that are being said may come out.

I love that part, guys. In case you missed it,
Joe Cleco finally making it into the Pro Football Hall
(35:40):
of Fame, one of three finalists nominated by the Senior Committee.
In a moment of relatability, he talked about the moment
Joe Namath came and knocked on his door that he
was actually looking for door Dash to come to the door.
Somebody's knocking at the door and I'm waiting for them
to answer. They didn't answer it. I'm going to the
door actually to look for door Dash, you know, I'm
(36:02):
looking for somebody or here. Joe Namath's there, and of
course there's eighteen cameras behind him and his golden jacket.
I know what this is nice, But does door Dash
knock every time? A lot of times they just they'll
just drop it off and bail, right, Yeah, they just
drop off an option to let me just drop it off,
or they give it to you. Man. Sometimes they don't
(36:24):
care what your option is. They're dropping it off regardless,
and they're out like they're they're leaving it and then
they're just walking away. Wasn't there I think there was somebody. God,
I want to say it was somewhere back on the
East coast or who knows. It was probably California. It
sounds like a California thing out here, knowing these people.
But the door Dash driver returned the tip to the
(36:50):
person who bought the door Dash because they didn't feel
like it was enough. Their order was like twenty or
thirty bucks, and they gave him like an eight dollar tip,
and the person returned the door. Dash person was so
upset or uber eat whoever it was, that they actually
went back to the front door and gave them their
money back because they were so outrage It's a great tip.
(37:11):
Now I could have that totally wrong, but you know,
just for the sake of you know, the story, and
not having to go back and do any research, I'm
just gonna say I got that right. It's at least
somewhat accurate. I mean it sounds good the way you
put it. Yeah, about that, I've gotten way worse tips
for way larger Oh god, I carried it. I carried
a Christmas tree when I was working at the tree lot,
(37:34):
one of the great part time gigs of all time,
working at a tree lot. I carried this Christmas tree
around the block, drugged the entire thing. It was like
an eight or a nine foot noble fur No, no,
it was a douglass. Carried it around the block, dropped
it off at this lady's front door, and she gave
me like a dollar in like sixteen cents, and I
went back. The owners of the tree lot felt so
(37:56):
bad about how I was getting jipped on tips that
year that they actually gave me extra money at the
end of the year, saying, we just hope that you
come back because they were so outraged by the tip.
So eight bucks for a thirty dollar food order. What
a loser. I think I left the worst tip I've
ever left the other day, because I usually have a
pretty generous tipper. But I was sitting at the bar
(38:19):
watching the games, and we were there for like a
half hour trying to get more drinks at the bar,
not like at a table or anything like that. Only
got one drink order in and got my change back,
and they only gave you know, when you should expect
some ones back and then only got like one in
a five I just left the one tip. A tip
(38:41):
is for good service, Yes, so if I don't get
good service, I'm the first one. If I don't get
good service, your your tip will be reflective of what
my feelings are of you. The only country in the
world that tips is here. Terrible, terrible and little tipping
in Europe. Interesting, you get a tip in Tijuana just
(39:05):
uh you know my comicsmdtives. Yeah, that's a different type
of tip. That's Tijuana. Fox Sports Radio has the best
