Speaker 1 (00:01):
Is the best of two pros and a couple of
Joe with Lamar Arrington, Rady Win and Jonas Knox on
Box Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
So we do have we talked about this earlier. They're
going to start trickling in some announcements on games that
are going to be played this upcoming season in the NFL.
And Adam Schefter is he's not waiting around these morning
shows the chef. We've got Ravens Titans amazing in Tottenham

(00:36):
Hotspur Stadium, so that will be a London game. So
Lamar Jackson is going to take his show on the
road all the way over there. And by the way,
so October fifteenth, Will Levis should be starting by then,
so that'll be that'll be fun to watch for the
for Will Levis who will make.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
His uh make a start there at some point. And
also October eighth, so the week before that, we do
have Jaguars bills, so they're going.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
To get to go over seas. That sounds like a
fun one. That's a good game.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
And yeah, all of a sudden, Lundnon get the Jaguars
a couple of times a year, right, Yeah, yeah, So
that's so that's going on with them and.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
I would love to see Jacksonville continue that momentum. I'd
love to see it now.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
Have a competitive league.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Patriots Colts November twelfth in Germany.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
I don't know how to go about that one.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Wasn't it supposed to be Patriots Saints?

Speaker 6 (01:36):
I think the Patriots. Yeah, I thought that was the
international one. Maybe it couldn't work with the scheduling. Maybe
that's why they had to change it up.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Man Jimmer say, going to Germany. You know he's that
covers That might be the more interesting storyline. How many performances,
how many sets are he in the tree tree leaning
bang going to do like that? I think that might
be more entertained. Yeah, that's a that's a shirt to

(02:05):
the tree leaners.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Also, I feel like the NFL may have kind of
duped some people here. Oh yeah, because we were talking
about the Matt and Aggie revenge game in Germany that
it was going to be Bears Chiefs and it seemed
like a foregone conclusion. According to Mike Garafollo, that is
now the Dolphins and the Chiefs in Germany.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
So that's going to be a good one too. So
that'll be a nice one.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Did the NFL throw some stuff out there to get
people looking one way, and then they decided no, non,
We're gonna go ahead and we'll.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
We'll let you know what the tickets available right now?
The I don't believe, so it could be. It's possible, right,
I meanickets, Yeah, if it's announced.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Yeah, I mean, man, I wonder how much.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
The Rogers to the Jets thing changed any plans, if any,
because you do wonder how that factored into all of it, because.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Normally these are pretty spot on right, they get these
right when they leak like that.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
Yeah, I mean you think so, but there's there's always
some moving parts to all of it.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
You need at least one team outside of the Jets
to show some true dominance in that division, at least one,
and you're going to win. You're going to win if
you don't have any if you don't have any team
showing any type of promise, any type of you know,

(03:28):
kind of competitive nature. I mean, how how much can
can Aaron Rodgers carry if those other teams, if at
least one more team isn't isn't dominant, Like I'm nervous
about Buffalo. I just don't. I don't know why I
have this tremendous amount of trepidation towards Buffalo, Like I

(03:51):
almost feel as though they may have hit their ceiling,
and and and and I hope I'm wrong for the
sake of pair and and you know, seeing how competitive
this could be, you know, this season. But I just
feel like they may have hit a wall or hit
their seiling, not hit a wall, hit their stealing. And

(04:11):
if that's the case, like, what is New England going
to step up? Like is it their time to step
back up?

Speaker 5 (04:19):
It's Miami?

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Maybe it am Some people say maybe it's Miami.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Do you think there's a chance Buffalo could not make
the playoffs man.

Speaker 6 (04:27):
A competitive division in the AFC? Of course, I just
here's the only thing.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
There's always a.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Chance, Jonas, I'm just saying plus one ninety five if
you're interested to not.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
Make it, Yeah, I'm not taking those outs. Last year,
they were everyone's favorite, right to win the Super Bowl?
You Yeah, So, I sometimes feel like we tend to
be like a year or two soon now where there's
not as much pressure, they're not the favorite, they're kind
of flying under the radar.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
Maybe this is the year where they kind.

Speaker 6 (04:57):
Of come back around. Although we've talked about this Leslie
Fraser not being there as defensive coordinator. That was a
bit of a ten draft back. Yeah, you don't know
what goes into that, but that makes you wonder. You
wonder that, I mean, their their draft was kind of interesting.
So we'll see how this whole all pulls together. I
just I look at it and wonder if if maybe

(05:18):
we're just to get a little year too soon with
the hype and this is the year where they kind
of fly under the radar and then they become that
team that we thought they were going to be a
year ago.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah, because I mean, they're still loaded, but it was
an awkward way I exit last year for the Buffalo Bills.
But you still got a ton of talent.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
There would I say unceremonious departure from playoffs. They just
got their ass beat.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
I mean it did look good.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
I mean and and by I'm physically like it was
a physical beat down by the Bengals and in their
house in the snowy conditions where everyone's like, oh, this
is like perfect for the Bills, which it really didn't
make much sense because the Bills will run the football much.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
But like when you've got to go to the to
the press box and show demor Hamlin to try and
give the stadium some energy because they're just so shook
by what Cincinnati has done to them.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
That's that's a problem. Also, also.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Here's that here's something else to point out on the
international schedule that is taking place the Jaguars.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
I don't recall this ever happening.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
The Jaguars are getting back to back weeks in London,
so they're going to be but.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
That's their mob, that's that's that's their place. They're the
home team abroad.

Speaker 5 (06:29):
So are we thinking maybe it's like opening the door
to them, like.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Like, hey, we're just going to stay, We're just not
coming back.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
I've said this before. I think it'd be dope.

Speaker 6 (06:43):
Like after after my first trip scoring over there then
and when we went with the Broncos, and because somebody
said to me like, well how would you make one
team work over here? In the travel all that, I
was like, well, why won't you just have a whole division,
Like why would you have a team in Germany? Why
don't you have a team in London? Why don't you
have a team and pick two other cities you could
probably support it? And that way, you've got not only

(07:07):
those six games that you've got that the travel is
not as harsh, but then you're essentially looking at the
Eastern seaboard and flying there is probably not that much
different than flying east coast to west coast in the
US and you're Seattle, for example.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
You're actually doing three straight games, so week four, week five,
week six, or all games over in London. Have they
ever done that before?

Speaker 6 (07:29):
I think they've stacked the London games like that. I
don't know that they've had Jacksonville back to back though,
But the general point is, is this opening the door
for Jacksonville to make that move.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
Yep, and continue to talk about it.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
And look, they've been talking about this European division that's
picking up some momentum that potentially at one point in
time they're going to have four teams in a European
type division.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
Are just saying what I just said.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Well, no, I'm just but this is no.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
But the point is they were so ecstatic about what
happened last year in Germany and all the love and
the fanfare that they got that they thought, okay, well
maybe this will start picking up some steam.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
And so those stories started.

Speaker 5 (08:07):
A conversation back in twenty ten when we went.

Speaker 6 (08:10):
It's just they haven't made as much progress on it
because I think there's they're so concerned about losing some
of the I think the momentum fanfare that the NFL has,
and I don't think they want to ostracize small markets.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
They were they were talking about that in twenty ten,
doing a European Division.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
Yeah, I just said that.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
Okay, I don't know, you know, I'm just trying to
you know, they was talking about a European Division fault.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Yeah, I was trying to There's a lot of stuff
flying in here.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
I mean to get the schedule that I was just
trying to make sure you knew Jonas that twenty ten
they were discussed.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
That's my European Division, that's my far Listen, there's a
lot of stuff flying at us here. We got the
schedule coming out, We got games here. By the way,
Calvin Ridley's return against the Atlanta Falcons is coming up
in week four in London, so you know, you know,
some people are going to be gambling on that game,
especially in the locker room. There's a lot happened Ridley, Yeah,
to tell you, But point is we are getting some

(09:04):
games that are being sprinkled in here, and I don't
know if you springs not.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Back in twenty ten, they were talking about a European
Division according you know in twenty ten that was and sources.

Speaker 7 (09:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
You guys like the smell of fresh cut grass? Do
you want me to tell you what I like? Well,
freshly cut grats.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Well, the reason I brought it up is because Jim
Harbaugh was just recently talking with Sports Illustrated and they
asked him, Wow, more kids mowing lawns.

Speaker 7 (09:43):
Love.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
You're a different direction.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
I want to go. I want to go to there.

Speaker 7 (09:47):
You're ready for it?

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Uh. They asked him if he wasn't a code Rushley
cut grass, what else would he do, and Jim Harbaugh said, quote,
I would be a lawnsman.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
That's what I would do. Mowing the lawn is one
of the great feelings I have in life.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
And he talked about how he drives around ann Arbor
and he's a little disappointed because, you know, he sees
a lot of companies out there, but there's not a
lot of kids out mowing their own lawn, you know,
mowing the grass, and it just brings did.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
You guys grow up mowing your lawn?

Speaker 5 (10:15):
Hell? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Did you push the line too?

Speaker 7 (10:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (10:18):
I had to push. We had to drive.

Speaker 5 (10:20):
I remember, oh the line. Yeah, you gotta have nice line.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
You gotta have nice lines, a right, come on now.

Speaker 6 (10:24):
Yeah, my dad would make me sometimes mow it twice
in both directions, like you give him like a little
bit of a haircut, so you really can can make
that thing look good.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
But did you do the edging first and then the
mowing or vice versa.

Speaker 5 (10:38):
I usually that's a good question.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
I had a brother, I had brothers, so we were
edging first. We were multitasking, so I was either they
were mowing and one of us was edging, you know,
like you're hitting the trimmer. But then you had to
do the We actually did the shrubs too, Like we
were we were cutting the shrubs. Like they did not

(11:00):
have to hire a company of landscapers because they had
like we had to pick up the leaves everything, clean
out the gutters, you name it. They didn't have to
hire anybody. They had hired hands Harrington long Care. Bruh.
Now I'm thinking about what's what we should have used
to do. It's what we should have did.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
It's a ton of levers.

Speaker 7 (11:19):
Though.

Speaker 6 (11:19):
We got like a motorized push mower, you know when
you kind of like grip down it. And I was like, man,
this can cut the lawn twenty minutes faster.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Yeah, yeah, that you made it with that? Yeah yeah,
man cutting them off, I mean cutting the lawn. And
when I when I was in the pros, like once
I retired, I had like a nice little piece of
property back in Maryland before I moved out here, And
that's what I used to do. I put my headphones on,
I put my mask on, and and I have a

(11:47):
big old, you know cigar in my hand. Yeah, a cigar,
and I just used to mow my lawn.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Now, did you walk or do you have like a
jont oh I had, I would drive that bad, but
i'd be cruising.

Speaker 6 (12:00):
You sound like aj My brother in law's got one.
He'll drive that thing like twelve miles an hour.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (12:06):
Never see someone mode their a lot as fast as
he can. It is hilarious.

Speaker 6 (12:11):
I mean that thing is souped up, and you know
he'll obviously miss some spots here and there, but he
flies to get all his grass cut.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
I just stay out there.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
That's so good. Oh I'll just stay out there though,
Like I'd cut it and just be out there, like
driving it with my cigar in my head phone.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
So you'll you'll get it done and then just cruise around,
still be cruising around?

Speaker 7 (12:32):
Why not?

Speaker 4 (12:33):
Why not?

Speaker 2 (12:35):
It's like after you win the Daytona five hundred, you
still do laps. You're just waving to everybody. You know what,
look what I did? Yeah, I'm running out of gas.
I would get back. I was, so, what do you
think of my top three? I was thinking about this?

Speaker 7 (12:50):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Top three? Best smells.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Fresh cut grass, brand, new can of tennis balls, and
a barbecue restaurant when you drive by, hop pretty smells.

Speaker 5 (13:03):
That's pretty darn good.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Gasoline Gasoline pretty good.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Gasoline is pretty good, but you feel dirty smelling it.
I wouldn't say best smelling, but most memorable smell is
al Selena is in there.

Speaker 6 (13:16):
Gasoline is like when you have a cast and you
like you kind of have to like scratch her or
you're like, what does the smell like that?

Speaker 5 (13:24):
Because it's like the snow after a while, that's like gasoline.

Speaker 7 (13:29):
It's not like a great smell.

Speaker 6 (13:31):
But you're like, it's not a bad smell either, And
I'm like, I kind of want to keep smelling.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Good, keep keeping your skin coming weeks because you like,
you're like, man, why do I like the smell?

Speaker 4 (13:45):
You'd be pumping the gas. I'm like, why do I
like the smell? It's like a pack of cigarettes. It's
not lit.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
If you just smell the pack of cigarettes, it smells
good until there's some.

Speaker 5 (13:53):
People say cocaine smells really good.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
I wouldn't have never people never smell.

Speaker 5 (13:58):
I've heard that.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
I've never been close enough to smell. It wasn't that
it smelled like Jonas did. Yeah, you're right, jonas quick
as he. For some reason, when you smell, it disappears.

Speaker 7 (14:11):
I don't know what.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
I don't know what that's about. That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
It is weird, But uh, yeah, gasoline does smell good,
but I feel dirty smelling it, like it feels.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Like a nice new pair of tennis shoes out of
the box, new car smell new car smells a good one.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
That's a good one. Smells old books. I don't know
about that one. You lost me on that one.

Speaker 7 (14:34):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
They could be a little musty. There's like, have you
ever gone into a church man? Like, I don't like
that smell at all. No, you don't like that smell. No,
I don't like books.

Speaker 6 (14:45):
I'm not saying what I like. Walking through the perfume
and clone isle in like a department.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Store, yet free free of the airports.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
They're duty free. Smell good. Also when you walk into
like h I could never forget.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
I don't think dream laundry Matt smell yeah, wud smell
college no softeners man, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (15:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
But if there's a bunch of like little kids blankets
in there, they've been urinating off.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
I mean I only did it in college, Bro, I
was college laundry, Matt.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Guy, you wash the blankets, John, Yeah, But like sometimes
that urine's tough to get out.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
What do you talk it is You're you're reliving something
right now, unless they're crapping on it.

Speaker 5 (15:26):
That's the easiest thing to get out.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
Yeah, it's it's nasty.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
I'm not a fan, but uh so the pois being
you guys. You guys haven't had an issue where your
kid pee is a blanket and it takes a couple
of times to get the.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Smell, or or it's you and you're blaming it on
your kid. Supposed to wash you supposed to wash it
with detergent.

Speaker 5 (15:46):
It is, or.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
When you lay in it and you wake up in
your hamstring is sore for.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
Something we put, we put fabulous.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
That's another one.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
That's a good sack that smells, smells so good.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
It doesn't clean anything, there's no disinfecting.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
So it does smell good though fabulous.

Speaker 6 (16:09):
I smell of a good cigar on there. Yeah, yeah,
that's the shoutout for chopper though.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
Yeah, okay, like to smell on my own farts sometimes.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Oh my gosh, Well I'll tell you why I won't.

Speaker 7 (16:20):
I won't.

Speaker 5 (16:21):
You know what stort out to so far.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Unbelievable, everything flammable for Berto.

Speaker 1 (16:31):

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Ladies and gentlemen, this man is Petros papadaekas the co
host of the Petros and Money Show, which you can
hear on the blowtorch Am five to seven LA Sports.
He's also a Fox College Football analyst. You can get
him on Twitter at the Old p and he is
a happy man.

Speaker 7 (17:25):
He is a happy.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Man because Ronnie James Bronni James is a USC Trojan.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
Petros is Alma moter.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
He spoke about it and spoke into existence, the Bronni
James Arrival for USC. Obviously, Lebron is already here. Nobody
has been supportive of Lebron James like Petros Papadaeikas and
now he's got Bronnie James in the full. Congratulations, Petros,
just a monster, monster week for you and everything going
on there at USC.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
I know you're happy about a Petros.

Speaker 7 (17:57):
I'm thrilled.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Yeah, I'm man.

Speaker 7 (18:01):
I could not believe this news when it came out.
I absolutely love it. Just to get nailed by the
king and the pros and in colleges, Oh my god,
to let the king of real estate have his way
with you.

Speaker 9 (18:21):
Hey, Petros, Guys, can I ask this question, and maybe
this is a this is a bad question, but you
know a lot was made of Lebron, who like, hey,
he Ohio State fan.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
He looked at Ohio State if you went to somewhere.
I think that's what was said.

Speaker 6 (18:37):
And when this announcement was made, I was like, all right,
makes sense, Like he's in la Like why wouldn't you
want to stay close.

Speaker 7 (18:43):
To home and all that.

Speaker 6 (18:44):
Then I was like, wait a second, they're moving to
Big ten. He's going to have to go up and
play Ohio State. I'm kind of curious how that'll be viewed.
Although I guess Lebron did leave Cleveland once he came
back and the left again.

Speaker 7 (18:56):
Wow, that big of a deal. I guess the Ohio
state part about it, or the Big Ten part about it.
I don't know if that has as much bearing as
just USC basketball is not an entity with a whole
bunch of identity, and it's a great place for Lebron
to come in and get as many tickets as he

(19:18):
wants and kind of control the situation. I don't believe. So.
I believe that the scream that you heard of joy
and ecstasy when Bronni James announced USC was Dana Altman
in Oregon, uh celebrating, And I think there was a

(19:43):
lot of coaches deep down that had both fingers crossed,
staring at the phone hoping that it didn't ring, and.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Because they didn't want to deal with the chaos, would you,
yeah right. I can't imagine Mick Cronin would handle that
well well.

Speaker 7 (19:57):
I don't think it's going to be like playing with Lebron,
which is like, if you do well, Lebron did it,
and if you do badly, you're screwing Lebron's legacy. I
don't know how that's going to work out with USC basketball,
But USC basketball has always been an afterthought. If that

(20:18):
in town, and they've had some good years and they've
had some good teams, but deep down, I don't think
they're really anything that anybody wakes up and freaks out about.
So it's a good place for Bronnie James to go,
and they'll get the ESPN attention for however long he's there.

(20:39):
If he's there, I mean, who knows, you know, I mean,
these things change pretty rapidly. But I had heard a
lot of rumblings about it, and I'm certainly not surprised,
and I'm sure it'll be interesting. Lebron James he played
a game in Torrance at Bishop Montgomery High School for

(20:59):
the high School playoffs when he was with Sierra Canyon,
and Lebron tried to get it moved to Redondo Beach
because he didn't like the Bishop Montgomery gym and Bishop
Montgomery told him to pound sand So you might think
they're going to Ohio State, Brady, but Lebron might have
that game moved to Vegas.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
I mean, he might own a team there at some point.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
It sounds like yeah.

Speaker 7 (21:25):
And you know, he invented taco Tuesday. No one ever
had a taco on Tuesday, and he invented talking at
the barber shop.

Speaker 5 (21:32):
Yeah, hey, look, I'll defend him on this.

Speaker 6 (21:35):
I remember when that first came out, the Taco Tuesday video,
he was drinking.

Speaker 5 (21:39):
Red wine and I was like, this is just not right.

Speaker 6 (21:42):
And then I've had a few glasses of I think
red wine with some tacos one night, I was like,
that actually tastes pretty good.

Speaker 5 (21:48):
I really can't, I really can't say anything.

Speaker 7 (21:50):
Now, it's a great pairing. I'm glad that you learned
the lesson. Thank you. You know, I'm not very comfortable
talking bad about Lebron like this because I heard a
scintillating and Rich promo while I was on hold and
they were like, if you talk bad about Lebron, you
hate it. So, you know, those guys seem pretty pretty

(22:10):
cutting ends great sports.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
Talk quite c.

Speaker 7 (22:15):
Here. No, I'm just saying, you know, you guys want
me to talk bad about him, and basically I'm defining
myself as a hater based on their criteria that I
heard during the break. You know, there's always like a
new Petros and Money show, and that's what they said.
Corvino and Rich is like it's like it's like Petros
and Money, but nationally an appealing. Oh and uh and

(22:40):
just hearing that. Hearing that promo was a bit of
a surprise to me.

Speaker 5 (22:45):
That probably didn't go overwell, did it.

Speaker 7 (22:47):
Well. There was a guy they said with the Latino Petros.
What he was described as that I forget. I think
his name was Pablo. He was running around town for
a little while. He asked, uh, he asked Chip Kelly.
He was illivid that Chip Kelly gave a guy named
Josh Kelly the ball like thirty plus times against USC

(23:09):
to beat USC in the rivalry game.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
I remember that game.

Speaker 7 (23:12):
Yeah, yeah, he was. He went on like a I
think that pretty much ended it. You know, isn't that
too many times considering player safety to give a guy
the balls? Yeah, Cavino and Rich and Pablo, that petrust somebody.
I mean, it's like saying the Bubble Championship's not a championship.

(23:34):
You just might as well say you hate the Lakers.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
If they win it, do you change your opinions on
a little bit on the Lakers?

Speaker 7 (23:43):
Well, I mean if they win the championship, yes, I mean,
what is my opinion? I don't know. I'm pro basketball team,
I don't mind, not a basketball analyst. I don't. Yeah,
I'm not going to be like, no, I'm not really
well bump them then at the Lakers, let's talk about
up nos right, Well, no, I just I live here
and I have to talk about it. I don't think

(24:04):
Laker flags are coming back anytime soon. They're just not
practical because you can't roll down your windows.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
You know, COVID restrictions.

Speaker 7 (24:14):
Yeah, No, I just I just.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
Yeah, custom made.

Speaker 7 (24:20):
I don't know, you know, it just seemed like people
were more willing to sacrifice their their windows not being
rolled down. Back in the there was a thing in
Town Brady for years where when the Lakers were doing
well in the Kobe years, people would put the flags
every far and you know, you'd be next to some
you know, Honda Civic and be like, you know, next

(24:43):
to your flap and the flag, and you know, every
once in a while somebody would roll down their window
and then it would fly back and hit. That's why
it was.

Speaker 5 (24:51):
It was the best business plan because they knew people
would roll down their windows and lose them and they
have to order another one. It was actually brilliant.

Speaker 7 (24:58):
What you're getting more of now is like to defend
our media flags, which is just like a real flag
in the back of a truck flying like a like
an American flag.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
Or something like that.

Speaker 7 (25:09):
Yeah, system of a down, I've seen some Laker flags
like that.

Speaker 5 (25:16):
How about truck nuts? Do you see much of that?

Speaker 7 (25:18):
Not as much anymore, although we did have some hanging
from the back of my truck like outside of remote
once and to tell.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
You what color chrome or do you go to the different.

Speaker 7 (25:26):
They were red because the truck was red, so inflamed, inflamed.
But as far as my opinion on the Lakers, like
I think I mentioned this to you guys last time,
it's been a tumultuous relationship with the city of Los
Angeles for Lebron, I think, And there's a lot of
people just like they were when when Kobe was doing

(25:49):
this thing, although I think it's a lot more pronounced.
But there's a lot of people that consider themselves Laker
fans and not Lebron fans. But having a guy go
through the playoffs, win series, potentially defeat defending champions in
front of a crowd, with Jack Nicholson and all that

(26:09):
sitting there, that's going to change a lot of people's
opinions about Lebron James and his ability to still compete
and all that stuff to win championships. I should say compete.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
Petros Papade is joining us here on Fox Sports Radio
at the Old p on Twitter. If you disagree with
anything he has to say, Petro, here's.

Speaker 7 (26:30):
What did I say wrong?

Speaker 4 (26:31):
No, I'm just saying if you do like, that's where
you can find him.

Speaker 7 (26:34):
I look, Coveno and Rich is a great show. You know.
I just didn't. I just didn't want to look. I
gotta leave town today. I'm not even on the radio.
Jonas is going to do the show with Matt Bunny
Smith and he cares.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
About the Yea, I love the basketball.

Speaker 7 (26:51):
He care. No, No, no, Matt does. He'll make a
he'll have a big long dissertation about it, and you will.
You'll be reversed.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
So this is what I want to ask you, though,
because I'm hearing some reports out there that now that
Bronnie James has arrived back, or now he's going to
be arriving at USC, then maybe this could.

Speaker 7 (27:11):
Go to USC. But one of those Arab emirates princes
who like says they go to USC, but they live
in the Westwood Corridor and they really just show up
to pick up the degree on graduation if that.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
But I just there is some rumblings that maybe this
could signal the return of their former PA guy, their
PA announcer who used to do the basketball games, who
was none other than wouldn't you know it, Petros Papadaikas,
are you going to do the PA announcing for USC
basketball now that Bronnie James is back? Come on, Petro's
has been too long.

Speaker 7 (27:43):
They'd have to do a couple things.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
What's that.

Speaker 7 (27:46):
They'd have to fire the DJ that they have, DJ Malski,
the most annoying person on earth Polish No, No, he's
he's an African American man.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Okay, but post we're gonna miss on that. Uh Malski
Molski either way, he does the RAM games warm into
a RAM game. Yeah, So they'd have to get rid
of him because I don't want to.

Speaker 7 (28:11):
I don't want to be on with him anymore. And uh,
they have to pay me when they brought him in.
That was like I had one foot out the door.
And then uh, and then it would have to be
like at least two thousand dollars a game, which would
be really high for a PA guy. So it's unfortunate

(28:32):
those are by demand. Okay, do we get any of
that out to Lebron's camp? Get that out to Clutch sports?

Speaker 5 (28:39):
About if we negotiate this on your behalf? Do we
get any any fee here for this or no?

Speaker 7 (28:44):
Uh for the two thousand a game?

Speaker 5 (28:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (28:46):
Yeah, I'll cut you guys two percent work. You know
that'll buy donuts for the guys in studio.

Speaker 5 (28:54):
Yeah, we'll take care of that.

Speaker 4 (28:56):
Take care of does it?

Speaker 7 (28:59):
What if I go to jeez it? Well?

Speaker 6 (29:02):
Hey, Petro's one thing I wanted to ask you in
regards to college football the dollars weeks ago now?

Speaker 5 (29:07):
Is the change in the stop clock on a game
first down?

Speaker 6 (29:11):
Yes, I mean, I don't know, you feel I've been
kind of waiting for this for a long time. I
think what people don't realize though, is how much is
going to speed up the games? Right, Like that's going
to change how you haul a game and how it's
produced as well, big time.

Speaker 7 (29:24):
Right. Well, I guess you are probably still playing when
when they started the clock after you went out of
bounds before two minutes, you know, they they've started moving
the clock a lot more in recent years. This is
I think this is the most dramatic, right, Well, yeah,
this is the biggest change we've had with the clock.

Speaker 6 (29:44):
Do you remember so my senior year six they had
it was a one time rule. They actually was so
stupid they got rid of it. They used to start
the clock on like a change of possession when they'd
blow it in. So I remember, like in six, I think.

Speaker 7 (29:59):
That, Yeah, I mean, I'm vaguely, but they've been trying
ways got dumb to speed up the game.

Speaker 6 (30:06):
We would sprint off the sidelines to get light out
at the start, and you're like, what are we doing?

Speaker 5 (30:11):
Like why are we rushing out of a TV time out?
That's to snap the.

Speaker 7 (30:14):
Football Nebraska football style, sprint on in the field and
run the wishbone. But no, I don't. I don't think
it's going to be a crazy difference, but maybe it is.
Like I don't think it's going to be dramatic like baseball,
you know. I mean, we still have all kinds of
things that can stop a game up now, especially reviews

(30:37):
and things like that. How different will people call games?
I mean, I think you have just your identity and
you work it within the clock and it either helps
your defense or leaves them out there dying when you
score fifty points a game a lah Lincoln Riley. But
it will be interesting to see how much it changes

(31:00):
things and how dramatically, because you know, they've been trying
to shave time for years and have and this is
just another step. You know, this is all about fitting
into a better window and being able to sell more
TV time, which is why the NFL is constantly trying
to just ram their product into that three hour window,

(31:24):
and college football is trying to get closer to that
because the closer you get to that, the more you
can charge for the commercials and the more money you
can make. And you know, it's funny because the NFL
has one more commercial per quarter than college football, yet
the games go faster. Figure that one out.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
Oh get him on Twitter at the old pe is
Petros Papadakis. He is the co host of The Petros
and Money Show. He is also an analyst on Fox's
college football coverage. Petros, we appreciate it. Enjoy the little
vaca you're taking.

Speaker 7 (31:56):
Oh yeah with a bunch of fourth graders and Sacramento, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
Joy, big time be safe.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
So there he is from from lawmakers, from the kids,
from the kids.

Speaker 7 (32:10):
You guys want anything done in California, I'm gonna go
handle it to I'm gonna be on the house floridadays.
There is, he's already legal.

Newsom the standoff. I'll bring my gel Let me get
my tres flores gone. Uh, there he is. Petros papadegis here.
Always a fun ride every Wednesday with Petros here on

What God, No, here's Brady Quinn.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (32:56):
Well, speaking of news, MTV News uh actually shut down
after a thirty six year run.

Speaker 4 (33:03):
Oh wow for us.

Speaker 5 (33:05):
I think the guys in the shop probably recall a time.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
Yeah, it was first TMZ almost right, kind of sort
of disorder like that.

Speaker 5 (33:16):
I mean, I'll say this much.

Speaker 6 (33:17):
I still recall, like seeing Kurt Loder when he broke
the news of Kurt Cobain's death. Yeah right, So, I
mean you think about some of those monumental things that
happened back then. MTV News was was a part of it,
but it's coming to an end, which may be not
surprised to people because most people not even thought it
was still around.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
I don't even what do they happen on TV?

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Like just reality shows?

Speaker 7 (33:39):
Right?

Speaker 5 (33:40):
I think they played movies and things like that now too, that's.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
Yeah, that's wild.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
I don't I don't think I do you think there
would ever be a place or is TikTok just replaced
all that TikTok and YouTube?

Speaker 4 (33:52):
Yeah, so there's no point for.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
Music videos anymore. I don't even know if anybody still
makes them anymore.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
It's odd, it's unfortunate.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
I think they do, but they just live in a
different in a different area.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
I'm looking back at some of the long time Chris Connolly,
he was another one that was an MTV news anchor
then a full.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
Roster here was it Downtown. Julie Brown a part.

Speaker 7 (34:15):
Of that.

Speaker 5 (34:18):
Now.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
I think she hosted a show she hosted. Yeah yeah, yeah, too.

Speaker 6 (34:22):
Bad anyway, sad thing I think for our generation of
folks who kind of recall that and maybe you know,
grew up watching MTV, you know, music videos and all
that stuff.

Speaker 3 (34:31):
But because when they broke in, you knew it was
something bad.

Speaker 5 (34:35):
Well, something big, I'll put it that way.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
Yeah, but Kirk Obrien, O J.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
Simpson, all that stuff I remember.

Speaker 5 (34:42):
Watching on there, moving on, moving on.

Speaker 6 (34:44):
Selena Gomez and her kidney donor, Francilla Reisa, are reportedly
not friends anymore because Selena drinks alcohol. Now as some
people would would throw out, their alcohol typically affects your liver.

Speaker 5 (35:01):
That's why it's called livert looop.

Speaker 6 (35:02):
Yes, more so than your kidneys, but it does obviously
impact your kidneys if you continue to drink. This report
is not necessarily substantiated because neither has really said the
reason for their breakup and friendship, but it's leading to
think that maybe that's part of it.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
So let me get this straight.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
She donates an organ to her and then tries to
tell her how she should handle her organ.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
Well, I mean, if she's going to give her her organ,
at least you could do is be respectful or mindful
enough to not let people see you drinking. Yeah, but
if you buy a house off somebody, you don't get.

Speaker 5 (35:39):
You drink.

Speaker 6 (35:39):
Here, hold on, let me propose this a different way
to you. Okay, she gets a new kidney. I mean,
aren't you going to use that kidney?

Speaker 4 (35:46):
Why not?

Speaker 6 (35:47):
Okay, So let's just you know, let's say LeVar gives
you something that's very near and dear to him.

Speaker 5 (35:53):
Yeah, that you know you might need Jonas. I mean,
are you not going to go out and use that?

Speaker 7 (35:57):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (35:58):
You will go abuse it. It's a great point.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
And I don't know about abuse it, but I think
you probably mean.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
I mean, if you got what I was giving you,
you definitely would.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
Go out drive. Why not? Yeah, okay, I can dig that. Yeah, Okay,
that's more.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
Now it becomes a little bit better context for me
to understand. You know what, check that's upset with Selena
Gomez kick rocks.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
Here, here's twenty bucks, but you got to spend it
in a certain way. It kiss my assself, spend it.
I don't want to spend it. Don't give me the
twenty bucks. Then well, I'll tell you.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
If it goes bad, they probably ain't putting her back
on that donor list.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
You better make sure it works, Selena.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
That could be one of the issues with it. I
mean it's not like she could take it back.

Speaker 4 (36:42):
Yeah, give it back, right like.

Speaker 6 (36:45):
You're giving an organ up, basically saying like, look, I'm
doing this good deed and I don't know really what's gonna.

Speaker 5 (36:50):
Come from it.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
Give me my organ back, yeah, forget you give me
back my org.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
I changed my mind. Yeah, come on, man, get out
of here with that. Oh well, okay, I'll give you
guys an organ. I would which one?

Speaker 4 (37:06):
I nothing even
