Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific, and we do it all

Tire rack dot com. We'll help you get there.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
An unmatched election, fast free shipping, free road has a
protection and over ten thousand recommended installers. Tire rack dot
com the way tire buying should be. So. Obviously, the
big conversation in the world of sports is Game seven
coming up later on tonight between the Heat and the Celtics.
How the hell we're at a Game seven? Well, one
of the craziest finishes to a sporting event you'll ever

(02:11):
see took place over the weekend, in which Derek White
beat the buzzer on a misshot from Marcus Smart with
a tenth of a second left, giving the Celtics a
win and the Celtics forcing a game seven. Teams that
were trailing three in an NBA series during the playoffs,
oh and one hundred and fifty coming into this series,

(02:31):
so Boston looking to make history never been done before.
This is also the same city and where the Red
Sox dated against the New York Yankees, so there's a
lot of similarities there. Everything would tell you that this
feels like the way that game ended, the heartbreak in
that arena, just the gut punch that was to the
Miami Heat. How the hell do they respond in Game

(02:52):
seven against the Boston Celtics. But if there was a
team that was going to respond, it would be the Heat.
And if there was a team that was going to
blow this opportunity, it would be the Celtics. So I
We're gonna be fair about it. This does seem to
line up correctly for both these tides, for both these
teams here.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
So I think it's a daunting test to win four
in a row after losing three in a row. I
just do like a sweep. I get it. We had
two sweeps take place. So maybe the Celtics look at
it like, hey man, like let's just treat it like
it's a new series.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Let's go for sweep, And maybe that might take place.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
But I tell you this, Eric Spolstro, we have talked
about how he is probably the best coach in the NBA,
one of the best coaches, if not best coach in
the NBA. The job he's done with this Miami Heat team.
To talk about how you go up three games in

(03:51):
a series and then you're facing becoming the first coach
in the history of the sport to actually let a
team come back from down three to zero and win
the series. My first question is how do we view
Eric Spolstra, Because we were sitting there talking about the
Celtics head coach is on the hot seat, may may.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Get let go if if they get swept.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
We we saw how many coaches Doc Rivers got let go,
the Phoenix Suns coach got yeah, I mean coaches was
getting letting let go for losing, for for less. So
I mean this is the Eastern Conference Finals. I mean
they they they did make it far into the playoffs.

(04:40):
But I don't think that these ownership groups, these these
these decision makers up top are caring about how far
you got. I think they're looking at how you lose,
and to lose this way, how do you quantify it,
how do you justify it one way or the other.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
It's never happened before.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
You gotta really say this is probably the most epic
meltdown in the history of an NBA team in the
playoffs because it's never happened before. A team is never
melted down this way. And make no mistake about it,
Like I could see if you went down, you went
down three games to one, like they won two, you won, you,

(05:23):
you won one. Then they go up three to one
on you. They were on three oh three oh in
the series, and now it's tied up and it's going
back to Boston. I don't know, man, Yeah, even if
they win, even if they win, that's still tripped out

(05:43):
to me, if you ask me, that's still tripped out
that they made it this crazy interesting.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
It's a Celtics minus seven and a half for you
degenerate gamblers out there, courtesy of our friends at DraftKings,
seven and a half point favorites in this game, seven
in a game nobody thought going to happen. And yeah,
it's a tear Like I would actually say, this is
worse than getting swept if Miami loses this series. This

(06:10):
is worse than getting swept because to have that many
chances to get one game multiple times at home and
to not be able to get it done and not
pull it off. And we can talk about Derek White's
shot in Game six. All we want and is put
back to win the game. But the fact of the
matter is Jimmy Butler struggled most of that game. He

(06:31):
was iced at the line to put him up by
one late with the three seconds left, but man Duncan
Robinson had a couple of shots at a three, missed
both of them. Like, there was a lot of opportunities
there for Miami as well too. In a game where
Boston shot twenty percent from three, which they've never done
all year long, and to lose like they did and

(06:53):
then potentially be losing four in a row and be
a part of history on the wrong side of it,
it's not a great look for the Miami Heat or
anybody evolved. I mean, it doesn't mean that Eric Spolster
is going to get You're going to lose his job
or anything, but you know, I do feel like I
would also say this, some of the criticism I feel
like in Miami and surrounding Miami would be a lot

(07:14):
different than if this were on the flip side in Boston,
Because if this was Boston about to lose after going
up three to zero, they would get mutilated.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
In Miami.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
It's kind of like, eh, whatever, let's go to South Beach, Yeah,
you know, like, yeah, let's go.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
To Cleveland or have a couple of cocktails. You know,
like let's you know, who.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Cares, listen, where we still live in Miami, things could
be a lot worse. So that's where that's where I
feel like this is headed. But I do have if
you are a fan of controversy in the NBA, I
got something for you.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
Eric Lewis.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Is an official in the NBA, and apparently Eric Lewis
is under investigation because there was a Twitter account that's
been deleted at Cutliff Blair and this Blair Cutlift name
on Twitter was spotted by some Twitter users as being

(08:11):
somebody who frequently defended some of the calls that were
made by Eric Lewis during the course of the season.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
Just him.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Yeah, like they just it was always battling back and
forth because Laker fans complained about calls and all this
and whatnot. So the NBA kind of, you know, took
notice of this, and what really stud out to them
is when somebody started pointing out that well, this is
this Eric Lewis's burner account, which wouldn't be the first time.
By the way, the seventy six ers had an executive

(08:41):
who had a burner account. Kevin Durant has admitted to
having burner accounts. He's a big fan of the old
burner account game. A guy rights over to somebody on Twitter.
So the gentleman rights NBA ref Eric Lewis has been
outed as having a burner account. This is a momentous day.
The account will surely be deleted soon. So for the archives,

(09:05):
the entirety of the account replies all involving yep, Eric Lewis.
Well the account Cutliff Blair responded to this tweet and said,
this is Mark Lewis right, family, older brother. I'm sorry
that I put Eric in this situation, but this ain't Watergate.
You're right, the account will be coming down. Twitter should

(09:26):
not be this vindictive. Sorry to inconvenience you. So it
just happened to be Eric Lewis's brother, not Eric Lewis,
according to this Twitter account that was defending Eric Lewis,
so ed it wasn't him, it was his brother. Of
all people who were defending Eric Lewis. Something seems a
little fishy, something seems a little bit off, and the
NBA is investigating, and we could have ourselves another scandal

(09:49):
involving an official in the NBA.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
How battle LeVar Arrington?

Speaker 3 (09:53):
How bout it?

Speaker 4 (09:55):
What a loser?

Speaker 1 (09:56):
By the way, if you do have a burner account,
you are a full fledged loser.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
How many burners you got, oh.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
Like fifteen or sixteen?

Speaker 3 (10:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Come on, who does it? Please? Come on, that's what
we do here.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
You are a loser.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
I don't I don't get the whole burner account phenomenon.
Like Kevin Durant is a huge fan of it, like
he's taught, like he's admitted, Yeah, I have burner accounts.
I don't get it. It's there's not enough time in
the day to control one account, let alone.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
If you could use a burner account and not get
caught and say what you want to say, how you
want to say it about any and everything, I think
that that might be one of the most liberating experiences
that you could possibly have. Yeah, but it's a lot
in today's culture and society.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
But wouldn't you feel like it's it's kind of half
assed because it's a lie.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
You're saying everything. It's not a lie.

Speaker 5 (11:00):
It's not a lie. You're speaking your truth. You're just
doing it anonymously.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
What do you think the chances are that this just
happened to be Eric Lewis's brother who is controlling the account,
and not Eric Lewis.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
It's Eric Lewis, But who cares? Who cares by it
that it's his brother?

Speaker 5 (11:20):
I want like, why shame that man into not doing
it anymore? Isn't it more valuable to be able to
see what the man is thinking versus like shame him.
And then now he's put it on his brother, his
older brother, and now they're taking the account down, like
let it go, like pay attention to it, don't draw
too much attention to it, like, let it go, keep

(11:42):
it going. How interesting would it be to see what
Eric Lewis is thinking, what he's really feeling. We've identified
that it's his burner account. Okay, don't sham him to
the point of where he comes out and says, it's
my older brother and the account is coming down now
we don't get it anymore.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Yeah, that's true. They kind of ruined it for everybody.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
You ruined it.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
Ye, So don't don't exp It's a burner account, so
he's not committing any crimes, like he's not like like.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Let's let's read what he's got, so let's see what
he's thinking.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
So all these Twitter snitches, you rats, you cheese eating
rats on Twitter? Who outed Eric Lewis? You took away
and spoiled the fun for everybody else. We could have
gotten some truth about the NBA. We could have found
out what was really going on with Tim Donahey, all right,
we could have really found out who else is on
the take and who else is betting on games in
the National Basketball Association.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
But you've now sold me on this. They've now ruined
that for the rest of this because they had to
go pat and somebody.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
Every single time a burner account is recognized and figured out.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Don't go crazy on trying to shame him. Let him go.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
Don't acknowledge that, you know, let it go. Why would
you stop being able to see and read what they're feeling.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
Let it go.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
It's like my wife tells me when my kid is
making a mess and he's like dumping the toys out
and he's got like thirteen trash trucks and he's got
all the little plastic trash cans and doing all this stuff.
And I would initially get flustered because it would just
be like, why is he making another mess? We're gonna
have to clean this up. But but hey, listen, whatever
he wants to do, that's fine. But well, no, I

(13:26):
don't care it's.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
And own a company.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Please.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
But but her point to me is always her point
to me is always just let him go. Let him
do it, like this is what's going to tire him out.
He's going to be able to take his nap sooner.
Just don't don't like if he's making a mess. Let
him make his mess because it's going to benefit us
in the long run.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
And she's one hundred percent right. So your point, Let.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
Eric Lewis do his thing, Let him go as Blair
Cutlift or whatever this guy's name is, and we could
find out some real dirt about the National Basketball Association.

Speaker 5 (14:04):
Man, he was going to keep defending himself if y'all
didn't call out KD. KD was going to keep firing
off on people. Let them go, let them do what
they're going to do.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
That's more entertainment for us.

Speaker 5 (14:20):
I wish I had a burner account. I'm telling you,
if I had a burner account, I would be going.
Now here's the thing. I would not have a job
at Fox Sports Radio if they uncovered that it was
my burner. Now, I would probably be unemployable if I
was able to say what I really.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Wanted to say at times on my burner.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
Would people figure burner account name? B do you have one?

Speaker 5 (14:43):
Oh, I don't know, I don't know. It would be
the Lockness Monster. I've just guessing that's the direction I
would go with.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Like, there's a lot you could do with that as
well too. Uh yeah, there there, there is that.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
Uh, I just.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Think maybe I don't know, you know, use my middle
name and.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
Yeah, you know, I.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
Don't know mc Hammers. There you go, there is that,
uh you.

Speaker 5 (15:22):
Know Johnny Hammers, l A, you know La Hammers, you know,
I don't know, you know, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
It's a lot that I go with.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Yeah, maybe's something pretty interesting.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
It is.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
It is pretty phenomenal just to see him and then
and then the guy comes back and says, this is
Eric's older brother.

Speaker 4 (15:41):
Yeah, sure it is.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
By the way, do we even know if Eric Lewis
has an older brother, come on, dude, or maybe he
just he gave him his passwords said hey, say you're
me and then uh and then you know that way.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
You can cover my tracks here.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
But of course, you know, people have taken a look
into this and have now said, well, this is means that,
you know, Eric Lewis be questioned because he was the official.
Remember when Pat Beverly took the camera away and showed
the official the replay of a miscall he made on
the court. Eric Lewis was that official, and so there's
some people who think, well, you know, Eric Lewis was

(16:16):
you know, he was one of the guys that was
against the Lakers because he missed that call, and you
know he supports the Celtics. But they failed to also
point out the fact that Eric Lewis was one of
the officials working the bubble when the Lakers won that
championship in the finals against them, so they kind of missed,
you know, some of the details there. But I'm with
you man, you weasels ruined it for everybody on Twitter.

(16:38):
We could have really gotten the truth about the NBA
and now it's gone. It's like it's like when Jack
Ruby got shot once Jack Ruby got shot or once
he died, it was like everything was gone, you know,
Lee Harvey Osoll went down. Then once Jack Ruby died,
then everything else was gone. Now we were never going
to find out the truth about JFK. It's a shame, man.
They ruined itastards.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
There you go. I mean you went down a different
direction now in my opinion, but you go.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Justay until you get to the bottom of conspiracies. You
got to go to certain people involved at the bottom
of it, and then you find out all the stuff
that was happening on the top. And that's what we
could have gone from Eric Lewisman. Unfortunately, a bunch of
rats and weasels ruined it for everybody. It is two
pros and a cup of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio.
It's LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here and you

(17:27):
can listen to this show as always on the iHeartRadio app.
All right, so coming up, we are going to talk
about some speculation in the NFL. Could could we see
a major move at quarterback for one team in the league.
We'll get into the details on that for you right
here on FSR.

Speaker 6 (17:46):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here coming up later
on this hour, about twenty minutes from now, We're gonna
have another edition of You in or You out here
as we close up shop on a Memorial Day Monday
here on the program. Yeah, I'm in two.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
That's what we do on a Memorial Day. Baby.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
We're gonna get into this situation at quarterback. We could
see a drastic change for one team who is going
into the season with a certain somebody starting an Now,
there may be somebody else involved in the conversation.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
We'll get into that here in just a moment.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
I just wanted to throw this out there because they
were showing highlights of this earlier. Did you see video
footage of that plane, the Asiana plane, the airline where
the guy opened.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
Up the emergency door.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Yes, I did, all right.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
I don't know what happened to that guy, but he
should have been thrown out the plane right up.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
Like however, many.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
Thousans disagree with that. I don't disagree with that.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
You I'd have just been too scared to be the
one to do it, because I'd have been trying to live.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
That is terrifying.

Speaker 5 (19:02):
There's video sitting up in that bad boy like Jesus,
just what.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
To do that for?

Speaker 4 (19:12):
I just want to live, My God, I can't breathe.
I can't breathe because the.

Speaker 5 (19:19):
Hey, but once we land and I wipe my tears,
I'm going to beat.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
His because I mean.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
So they showed they showed footage of the guy being
arrested afterwards. I think he was, and they were kind
of you know, uh, you know, rushing him out.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
And they having like on a gurney or something like that.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
Something like that. But like that, that should really be
a rule in place to where Hey, if you want
to mess around and you want to intimidate and scare
everybody and open up that door, you're the first one
to go. That's it, Like, that's the way this is
going to work. You want to open up that door, You're.

Speaker 5 (19:55):
Going the minute we touched down on that ground. The
moment we touched down on that ground, I am sprinting
to that dude, and I am whooping his.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
Ass all in that seat.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
He might be sleep, he might be sleep, and I'm
still going I'm not stopping. Like do you understand? He
basically like whether you did it on purpose or not? Like,
first off, why the hell would you be touching the
door in the emergency latch?

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Why are you touching it?

Speaker 5 (20:39):
That's first and foremost, like did you get that board
on the flight where that's what.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
You you felt you needed to do that?

Speaker 1 (20:48):
What if he warned him, like, Hey, if you don't
get this Wi Fi fixed, I'm opening up that door.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
Yes, sure, buddy, now you know, And for.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
What it's worth now, you got to change the policy
on emergency exits.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
They got to change the policies because.

Speaker 5 (21:05):
You don't know if you're gonna get a schmuck moron
that's sitting next to that door that can't control themselves,
Like I wonder if this door really will open.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
Hey, I ordered a white clock twenty minutes ago. I'll
open up this door.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
You don't bring it.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Yeah, sure, pal, you know that all of a sudden,
everybody's how many thousands of feet in the air and
they're on the set of twister.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
What's crazy?

Speaker 5 (21:28):
Imagine if the flight attendants were walking. Oh sure, there
was a possibility. If somebody was up, they was gonna
get sucked.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
That right, I'm gonna use the bathroom row. I'll be
right back. Make sure you wash your hands.

Speaker 5 (21:42):
We said keep your belt buckle snap. I keep my
belt buckle snap all the time. I do not get
lazy on that. I always have my buckle snap because
I just think. You don't know who's on that airplane
with you.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
You just don't know.

Speaker 5 (21:58):
Like I'm telling you, I be vigilant on airplanes because
you just don't know. You got hundreds of people that
you don't know getting on an airplane and you're sharing
the same space and the same air for however long
that flight is. Excuse if you really think about it,
it's kind of a scary thought.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
Excuse me.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
There could be killers on there, drug dealers, you don't know.
You don't know, Sir.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
Can I get you another V eight?

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Nope?

Speaker 5 (22:29):
I think that'll be my last forever. What do you
mean forever?

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Let me show youiencing.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
We're experiencing a little bit of turbulence. Can you lift
up your trade too? Where'd you go?

Speaker 3 (22:43):
Man?

Speaker 5 (22:44):
They said they had to take multiple people, multiple people
to the hospital with respiratory issue cars that took place, brouh.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
Let me tell you something.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
On top of me beating that dude's ass, I'm gonna
have respiratory issues and I'm getting paid.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Oh man, I'm going.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
And by the way, I wonder.

Speaker 3 (23:10):
Know this, I'm getting paid.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Like if you launched that guy out of the plane
right when he opened the door, Like, do you to jail? No,
I think you get free flights, like probably for the
rest of your life.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
I have no idea to jail. I think they are
you a hero if.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
You're probably looked at as a hero, because I think
that they would say, all right, we don't condone this
sort of activity. But you know, anybody on that flight,
I mean, is looking to your point at trying to
get paid now, because that is like the video of.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
That is terrifying. It's like one of those works everybody's
been on a plane.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
I don't think i'd ever fly again.

Speaker 5 (23:50):
I don't think I would ever if I experience somebody
at that height in the air opening up an emergent
and see exit while I'm on that plane, I don't
think I would ever fly ever again.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
Yeah, it's pretty bad, man.

Speaker 5 (24:07):
So you gotta pay because that means I gotta take
a ship, or I gotta take a I mean, if
I'm going out of the country, i gotta take a boat,
or if it's around the country, I'm taking a train,
or I'm taking one of them excursion winn Tobagos or buses,

(24:28):
whatever it is.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
But I'm not flying.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
So that airline is going to pay for my travel
for the rest of my days of living. And that's
how it should be. Because of you, I don't want
to fly anymore. I will never fly ever again because
of the emotional and mental damage that can never be undone.
You can send me to as many psychs and as

(24:53):
many psychologists or whatever therapists as you want, it will
always like, that's an experience that will always be there
for anyone that was on that.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
Flight, that that will always be there. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
Yeah, I don't know about that one right there, man,
I don't know about that one right there.

Speaker 4 (25:16):
It's f man, that's an ft up situation to be in.

Speaker 5 (25:20):
But you know, tremendously tremendously aft up. Yes, I mean
that's I.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Saw that dip and they was showing live footage of
it too.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
Weren't they look at there was video of it, but
I think somebody videoed it. Yeah. By the way, I
didn't know you were allowed to have your phone on
at that height, but apparently.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
Yeah you can, you can.

Speaker 5 (25:39):
You can have your phone on all right, Well, surprise,
you got to have it in airplane mode.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
I'd be more concerned about trying to hold onto my
seat at that point than we're breaking out my iPhone
trying to get it.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
I'd be recording it.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
I'd be recording it, and then I would be beating
his ass with one hand while I was recording it.

Speaker 3 (25:56):
While I was beating his ass.

Speaker 5 (25:58):
Yeah, i'd have I'd had the part where everybody was
getting sucked out the door and oh look at the
oh my.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
God, like like.

Speaker 5 (26:07):
And you know what's crazy, Like what if one of
them went through like the turbine, you know what I mean,
Like they get sucked out, they go through the turbine,
Like there's so many things that could now, now the
turbine's going to explode. Now that that that. You know,
big old planes they don't they don't go down like
the propeller planes like they go down. You know what

(26:28):
I mean, like propeller planes, you can hang glide it
down and you got somewhat of a chance. Them big planes,
you got to hope that you could get over top
of a body of water and kind of like like
do it the way that you need to do it,
because it hits different.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Them jets hit different. It just could.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
There's so many different scenarios that could have played out
on that man. I'm telling you, it's so many scenarios.
And I don't generally I don't travel alone, you know
what I mean. I generally don't travel alone. So if
I got any type of family member or anything, I'm
not beating their ass because of me. I'm beating their
ass because you and danger people I love. Yeah, and

(27:07):
I'm gonna beat im. And when I say I'm gonna
beat that ass, I mean Jonas, I'm gonna tap that ass,
bro like like, and I'm gonna turn and look at
the people like is it worth it? Like he tried
to kill your asses too? Is it worth it to
y'all to pull me up off of this man? Because
if you try to pull me up off of me,
I'm gonna put you to sleep too.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Well, I think the Jimmy garoppolo experience with the Las
Vegas Raiders.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Yeah, that might like that.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
That might end up.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Sleep as well too, because you talked about just sort
of the injuries that could take place being thrown out
of a plane. Well, the injury to Jimmy Garoppolo and
his situation with the Las Vegas Raiders. Apparently now we
know why there was a delay in the announcement of
his contract with the team during that news conference and
all of a sudden miraculously disappeared and then showed up

(27:57):
the very next day. So there was language in the
contract that was revealed over the weekend that said that
Jimmy Garoppolo failed as physical and there was a waiver
clause put into the contract so that after the surgery,
they're going to try and do the physical again to
try and see if he passes. But the way the
money was moved around and the way the provisions were done,

(28:20):
there's still a chance Jimmy Garoppolo never plays for the
Raiders based on the seriousness of the injury, and they
want to see what's happening with the foot, whether or
not it heals correctly, and then they'll go from there.
The expectation is that he is going to play, but
he had the signing bonus and the base salary, and

(28:42):
then the foot injury resulted in the Raiders removing the
signing bonus and moving all of that to a base
salary this upcoming year. So he's not going to get
any of it until he passes his physical and so
the Raiders can cut him for any reason related to
this issue that popped up when when going through the physicals.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
Now we know why there was a delay.

Speaker 5 (29:04):
But now with that being said, who is your quarterback?
And now that makes what your boy talking about Devonte
Adams make even more sense.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
Yeah, Like, what the hell are y'all doing?

Speaker 5 (29:19):
Is what we're is this what we're planning on for
our season, our upcoming season. Is that's our possible starting quarterback.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Well, one of the speculations we talked about this on
Friday was you know, what about Tom Brady. I mean,
he's there with the Raiders now he's available. You know,
Brady wanted to go to the Raiders back in twenty twenty,
but John Gruden put the kybosh on things.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
What about Brady?

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Well, there's a report from the Las Vegas Review Journal
that owners may put in a stipulation that they'll only
approve Brady's owner's bid for the Raiders if he is
fully retired, so he may not even get the opportunity
if he wants to be owner of the Raiders, because
the other owners around the league would say, no, we'll

(30:03):
accept this bid, but you've got to be fully retired.
So now, if that's not an option and Jimmy Garoppolo
is banged up and he can't go, now, all of
a sudden, DeVante adams comments kind of make a little
bit more sense, like, Okay, maybe he knew what was
actually happening there, and maybe he understood this is exactly
why we shouldn't have gotten rid of Derek Carr. I mean,

(30:26):
it feels like they're in a little bit of a
tough spot there already. I would I would say the
worst team in the division, and this is not a
good look for them. Although the expectation is they feel
that Jimmy Garoppolo is going to be ready, but until
he passes his physical I mean, everything's kind of up
in the air and in flux when it comes to him.

Speaker 5 (30:45):
Hey man, Josh McDaniel, it seemingly is good at a
lot of things, but being a hit coach just has
not shown that it's been favorable.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
It's just that one thing.

Speaker 5 (30:59):
It's just that one thing that seems to just kind
of get in the way of Josh McDade.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
It's a great cook for battle Man. It's that coaching thing.
You can't really figure.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
That that hit coaching thing.

Speaker 5 (31:11):
Not just coaching, it's like that hit coaching thing seems
just like it's.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
Like a stumbling block for Man. It's like his kryptonite.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
No, not great.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
Right now, every Superman has a crypto kite head coaches
for Josh Daniels Man McDaniel.

Speaker 5 (35:39):
You got to figure it out because in the end,
let's be clear here, time devices like anybody who does
like these crazy ass time devices anymore? Like it's kind
of it's kind of it's kind of lame. It's kind
of lame because technology has come so far. You don't

(36:01):
have to use the old school arms and hands and
stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
You don't like that, you don't like that vintage look though.

Speaker 5 (36:11):
We are so trained to have something of a time
piece on our wrist. You know, the last time I
had to watch that could tell time was right before,
right before cell phones came out with times on it.
Like like when the time was on the cell phone,
I stopped looking. I stopped setting watches, like I haven't

(36:32):
kept I haven't had a watch on my wrist that
keeps the right time in two decades.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
By the way, I was standing in a urinal next
to lead Lap one time and you said, hey, get
a load of my get a load.

Speaker 4 (36:44):
Of my Rolex.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Oh, and I just felt like that was a little
bit inappropriate, you know, trying to take care of business.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
You know, I don't know where I was doing that.
Why would that be the time? Get a load of
my Rolex?

Speaker 4 (36:54):
At least?

Speaker 3 (36:55):
Lease very And if I were in.

Speaker 5 (36:57):
A situation where I say get a load of my Rolex,
I ain't gonna be talking about a watch on my own.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
Right either, right neck? Brace what you got time for
one more lee quick one.
