The way tire buying should be. First round of the
NFL Draft is in the books, and the big shocker
for a lot of people out the soccer was that
the Atlanta Falcons take Michael Pennock Junior at number eight overall,

(01:22):
and apparently Kirk Cousins and Kirk Cousins agent were not
happy and not expecting that to be the decision that
they made with the first round pick. They reportedly were
told that quarterback would be in consideration, but they did
not think that it would be in the first round.
But then the Atlanta Falcons do the deal and they
draft Michael Pennix Junior, and it sent shockwaves through a

(01:44):
lot of people that were watching the draft covering the draft,
even you know, somebody like the Raiders who probably thought, Okay, well,
he's going to be sitting there for us when we pick,
and then he was off the board. And I think
Jay Glazer made that point as well too, to where
the race and who maybe it was. Denver assumed that
he would probably be there, and once he was taken,

(02:06):
it just kind of threw everybody for a loop. And
I don't know how many people actually he would go
ahead of J. J. McCarthy either.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
What I loved about it was, and I kind of
said this throughout the process, is he had to me
this year the second best tape of anyone I watched.
You know, Jade Daniels was number one, Pennix was two,
Caleb was three, JJ honestly was four, and May was
probably five, you know, if you if you really want
to break it down, But what you kept hearing was, oh, well,

(02:40):
the medical, all the injuries, and you weren't sure how
teams were going to look at a knee that's had
multiple ACL tears or shoulders that have had multiple surgeries, right,
And you weren't sure how they were going to view
guys who were older, right, I mean, Michael Penix was
in college football for six years, bo Nick six years.

Speaker 5 (02:58):
There's still some guys who are in this draft class
that have been six years.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Jane Daniels was what five, So you never know how
they were gonna view a class that you know, had
had some older guys who took advantage of a COVID
year in extra years, if that would be a knock
or not. I mean the one thing that you when
you look at the Kirk Cousins contract and the age
of Michael Pennix, is if Kirk Cousins plays out his contract,

(03:23):
Michael Pennox will be twenty eight.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
He's twenty four years.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Old, so even then, like he might not in a
perfect world. In the as Raheem Morris had said if
they go to the Green Bay route, he might not
play until he's twenty six years old, twenty seven years old,
which is not like crazy, right, I mean, Brandon Whedon
got drafted after playing professional baseball and then at Oklahoma
State at twenty eight years old.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Chris Wink Chris Wig was thirty thirty.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
He was thirty, so it's not it's not unheard of.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
But like you just get to that concern about I
guess their age and injuries even sooner, and he's.

Speaker 5 (04:05):
Already got those injury concerns.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
The question I was going to ask you guys was
this though earlier, when you look at, for example, the
Atlanta Falcons taking Michael Pennix, which I think we'd all agree,
like they've got Cousins, maybe you could make the case,
you know, not only for depth as a backup, but
also for the future, it made sense, but there's other
spots they probably could addressed, right, I think we don't
agree on that.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Yes, Well, meanwhile.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
You got the Giants who are sitting there at six,
and they had a completely different thought process because yes,
they go with Malik Neighbors, who I think is a
big time going to be a big time playmaker.

Speaker 5 (04:40):
But now you're locked into Daniel Jones basically being the guy.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
And so what's crazy to me is like, when you
look at that pick now in retrospect, do you not say, like,
maybe the Giants should have been thinking like the Falcons.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Were, because was, well, the Giants were if you believe
the reporting that's out there, which you know, take it
for what it's worth, but that Drake May was the
guy that they were targeting, and they tried to move up,
So Miley thought would have been maybe they liked him
so much more than everybody else that they thought, if
he's not there, we'll just take the best player on
our board, and they want with Neighbors.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
But well, it's great, but who's starting the football now?

Speaker 2 (05:17):
That's I mean, they have to believe that Daniel Jones
is the answer this year. So it looks like you're
not going to get a quarterback at this point and
say that that's going to be the guy that's going
to beat Daniel Jones out.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
I mean, you keep saying that making that sound jon Us,
but no one knows what the hell that means.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Spencer Rattler, come on, I know they need to watch.
It's a rattlesnake.

Speaker 5 (05:43):
Do the snake again? Does that sound like a rattlesnake
to LeVar? No, not at all.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
What does it sound like, Lorena? Do you have a rattlesnake?
Probably don't know.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
You want to have a rattlesnake off, all out rattle
anybody here on the show?

Speaker 2 (06:00):
You guys want to go that route?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
You got all right, LaVar, let me see your snake.
Come on, give it to me. I can't do the snake, man,
I just can't. I'm sorry, I just can't.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Come on. You live up in the mountains.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
You don't have rattlesnakes up there. You got grizzly bears
for Christ's sake.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
Well, listen, somebody was not happy with the decision of
the We do have a rattlesnake.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Sound, we got something late.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
Sounds nothing like Jonas.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
Okay, yeah, but that rattlesnake clearly is a cocaine. So
mine's mine's the sober you hear how fast it's going.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
Have you never seen a rattlesnake before?

Speaker 6 (06:45):
Jonas cokaine?

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Uhka snake, cocaine rattlesnake.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
So Terry Fonto and Raheem Morris, we're talking with the
media last night, and so with Spitzer, they were talking
with the media last night and they were being asked
about Kirk Cousins when they found out that quarterback was
going to be the move and going to be the

(07:17):
direction they were going. And this is how that back
and forth went last night in Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Well that's a private ooh and yeah, share that, you know,
and alas who reactions are pretty private.

Speaker 7 (07:28):
Right, Yeah, you know, he got called on the clock
obviously because of the sensitive time with the issues of
what you got going on. It's never a right time
to talk to a quarterback about those things. And reactions
are always going to be private when it comes to
those things, unless Kirk decides to tell you some of
those things that whatever the case may be. But he's
a competitor just like us all and you can always
expect those things to go just like you kind of think.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
And so that's the reaction they got from Kirk Cousins.
Do you think Kirk Cousins when that happened last night,
they was like, what the what?

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Well?

Speaker 4 (07:59):
I wonder the friend, Yeah, he probably he probably would
have said that. I wonder, gosh, darn it because one
of my thoughts was he was better off in Minnesota,
and I wonder if he thought after that happened, like, damn,
I should have stayed in Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
The irony is, if you look at what Minnesota did
in the first round, they literally replaced what they lost
in free agency. They drafted a quarterbacks, drafted an Heage Wresser,
and they lost Daniel Hunter, and they lost Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
So they got younger and cheaper at both.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Yeah, I mean, we don't know if he'll be as
competitive with both. If if Turner and Jaj McCarthy that
can be the guys they're hoping they'll be. But SAME's
room for Justin Jefferson's extension, which is God, Lee, it's
gonna be like thirty five million a year now it's
got it thirty three at least. I mean, you'd have
to think he's gonna leap frog Y J.

Speaker 5 (08:46):
Brown.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Would you not, Yes, man, this guy's getting paid. Dude,
that's a good ass situation for JJ McCarthy. I'll tell
you that.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
I was just gonna say, I think the biggest winners
last night are Michael Pennix and JJ McCarthy for the quarterback.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Don't forget they added Aaron Jones to that backfield.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
But you know what I'm saying, like, like, both those
guys enter into good spots. And I don't even say
bow Knicks to a degree because I think Sean Payton
is now he's attached his wagon to take.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
But he gives them the best chance of success in
the league. I'd say that I like, I.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
Don't know, I liked something about bow Knicks. I think
he's gonna I think he's gonna have a good year
for Denver.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
Did you all see his reaction.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
It looked like he knew, like he he looked at
his dad and dats him up, and it looked like
his dad and him were just like kind of like
gave this nod like yeah, they told us this was
gonna happen, and this is.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Where we're going, Jay said Sean Payton and this is
I don't know if this is because of where they
were picking or I don't know, but he said that
that Sean Payton said, this is my favorite guy in
the draft. This is who I want in the draft.
I think he said the same thing to uh.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
He just talking to Belichick on the pat Mac if
he shows starring aj Hock and he said the same thing.
They left the they left his private workout and said
they couldn't.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Believe what he said with him. Apparent apparently they gave
him playbook. Is that is that what it was?

Speaker 5 (10:13):
Probably?

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Yeah, I heard they gave him the playbook. He needed
to know the playbook. The next day. He comes in
the next day, knows the entire playbook like what they
wanted him to know, and executing in the next day
of meetings or whatever it was that they were doing.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
You have to understand, he's a very very mature young man.
He is older. He's twenty four, so you'd expect that
to a degree.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
But like if all of these quarterbacks, you know, when
I get to sit down and talk to him, he
was the one that came off and I was like,
all right, he's he's like in college, but he's not
about all this other crap, like he's ready to go pro.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Lanning loved him, he loved them, Yeah, because he sits
his kids.

Speaker 5 (10:51):
He's a he's a coach's son. I believe he's married.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Yeah, he married.

Speaker 5 (10:56):
He's like he's.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Completely like just settled down and not there's no bs
to it, right, Like you don't worry about getting a
call late at night because he's out partying or something.

Speaker 5 (11:05):
You don't worry about any of those other things.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
The question just becomes within Seawn's Peyton offense, Sean Payton's.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
Offense with what they have, like what's his ceiling? How
good he can be?

Speaker 1 (11:16):
And if if you're talking about a guy that took
Drew Brees helped, you know, and allowed him to be
and set the all time what completion percentage you know
record and become one of the most efficient passers we've
ever seen. I mean that's what bo Nix was at Oregon.
He set the completion percentage record. Like I know, people
want to talk about how many screens he threw. That

(11:36):
was like a big knock on him. But if you
actually put on the tape too, of the plus ten
plus you know yards downfield or twenty plus yards downfield.
He was actually really accurate downfield too, But everyone knocks
him because like, oh, they threw a ton of screens. Well, yeah,
you've got you know, a guy in Troy Franklin who's
a heck of a speed demon that you get the

(11:57):
ball to in space and other athletes in space.

Speaker 5 (12:00):
We're you're gonna throw screens to those guys.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
So when you say best situation, Michael Penis is one
of the him and JJ McCarthy. If Pennix isn't going
to get an opportunity to play right away, is that
the best situation for him?

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Because I think it is for him to sit, learn
and understand because he's sitting behind a guy who kind
of similar to Patrick Mahomes and Alex Smith. He is
sitting behind a guy who has not been able to
rely on his talent and athleticism to win. Kirk Cousins
relies on every other in tangible that he has in

(12:36):
his preparation and how he goes about giving himself the
best chance.

Speaker 5 (12:40):
To win on the field.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
But it all is all through what he does during
the week, right, So if you're a guy like Michael Pennocks,
who's more athletic he can run better than Kirk Cousins can,
So you have that in your back pocket, but you
don't want to rely on that. And I think he
knows that too from his time in Indiana then to Washington,
that when you leave the pocket, that's where injuries happen.
And so he talked about developing more of that portion

(13:04):
of his game. So I think he gets to see
how Kirk Cousins prepares, how defenses try to take away
different players. Like that's one of the things that you
have to learn when you get in the NFL's it's
all about playmakers.

Speaker 5 (13:16):
It's all about matchups, and it's like that to some
degree in college.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
But like sometimes like teams just can't even take away
your best player because they're too good, they don't have
the ability to. And it's more about, you know, halftime
in college, just trying to get guys lined up in
the right spot. Sometimes, so at the NFL level, like
when you've got Kyle Pitts, when you've got Drake London,
who you've got all these weapons they've gotten now, or Bijeon,
how they're gonna play Beejeon when he's on the backfield,

(13:39):
he's gonna see he's gonna here exactly how Kirk Cousins
breaks down every single moment before the snap of the football,
and how he goes about discerning than confirming.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
What he sees after the snap and what the defense
is doing.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Like that is a a education that you can't get
from a coach. You're watching a guy go out there
and do it for a year or two. So not
only does he not have to worry about, like, you know,
being thrust it in there necessarily, no, we don't even
know if Kirk gets injured, but he gets time to
learn the offense. He gets time to learn how to prepare,
how to be a pro, how to how to see

(14:13):
how defenses match up with their personnel, how to see
different defenses that he's.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
Going to see, and all those things.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
He gets time before he gets that first impression because
these other rookies that are getting to thrust it into it,
we're going to make a first impression off of that
first year and then you know, if they like Bryce
Young a lot of people have given up on him
after one year. Yeah, Zach Wilson or and I think CJ.
Strout will continue to play at a high level. But
we form our opinion off.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
One year for them, and that's to play that way though.
That's the thing. That's a successful rookie year for a
high draft pick the way Stroud played, it's crazy, like you,
your expectations of high draft picks are generally unrealistic when
you're talking about the integration and adaptation of being in

(15:00):
the league. I one hundred percent agree, and and that's
something that it's a lost it's a lost way of
doing things. It's a lost way because we're in a
microwave society. Everybody wants to see now like they want
it now, and that's pretty crazy. Why ask you a question?

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Yeah, completely off topic of this because I'm having a
conversation to side with a met wagon. He asked me
if Joe has a puberty yet, because he looks like
he does the boy in a giant's body. And I
was like, when he stood up, that's a great call.
I was like, he might be seven foot by the
time he's like his fifth or sixth year in the league.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
That's how big he is.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
That's he does. He does look like he's got the
really young face, no facial no facial even trying to
come in yet.

Speaker 5 (15:48):
No, he's still growing, like like he's he's just a
growing boy. He's still drinking his milk.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
You know, well, where is he? Where is the child?
Harry comes here, comes tiny, and.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
He's all these big guys by the way, I don't
know why, Like they got their girlfriends sitting there.

Speaker 5 (16:05):
I'm like, man, I feel bad for her.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
I got you that.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
I'm just like, imagine if like he just falls on him,
like it just it can end really bad.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Feel bad for their next boyfriend too. You're saying, like,
oh no, this these guys are are huge.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Well.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
Uh and Joe Alt's dad played in the NFL as
well too. His dad was like six six or six seven,
wasn't He played tackle as well too.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
He's a big dude. But it is two pros and
a cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio. Listen.

Speaker 4 (16:42):

Joe Alt's girlfriend, Joe Aalt's dad. I don't know, because

Speaker 2 (16:55):

a girlfriends draft that got drafted too. They got drapped

Speaker 8 (17:28):
Drafted, they got drapped, they got draped.

Oh, by the way, We're gonna have a silky edition
of Over. On the weekend, we recapped the first round
of the draft last hour, A lot of controversy.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
We will get into Uh really yeah.

Speaker 5 (19:58):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (19:59):
By the way, LaVar did point out they showed a
replay of J. J. McCarthy getting drafted. There was a dog,
there was a white lab.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
It wasn't.

Speaker 5 (20:07):
I didn't doubt that there was one dog, but it was.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
There's probably more, That is what I'm saying. We just
weren't paying attention enough.

Speaker 5 (20:15):
I was looking.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
You were looking, yeah, but you didn't see the one.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
Well, there's other things that people were pointing to that
distracted me.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
She was holding the dog exactly.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
She was holding hey, exactly.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Okay, that's fair, fair point, you know what, I won't
argue that's fair point. All right. I feel bad for
Olu's girlfriend. Why do we keep revisiting are talking about it?
You're evatuated with and his girlfriend. You should be applauding
this weird no, no, because let me tell you why.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
It's because I think people are trying to make it
more than it is. And I'm with Lee on this,
and LaVar is trying to just sit there saying that
she was blocking her out and telling her and and
Lee Lee pointed out that that Olu's girlfriend and the
mom embraced later like until way later.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
He's hoping for that because he wants that same embrace
when he's.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Got when he's sitting on the outside, but his girlfriend
gets drafted. Tang thank Lee was told now hope like
in his mind, that's what his mind created, like she
did give him a hug, La, No the hell she
did not. You stay right on over the Lee.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
Where did you What footage did you see where there
was a hug between the two Because I didn't see
that either, But I trust you because you don't miss on.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
This well because everyone trims it, just like at any
SoundBite that was It wasn't short, it wasn't short.

Speaker 5 (21:47):
It was a short man, it was like a minute loan.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
They like they were there for a while. That's the
awkward reach over the mom's lap, like like should I
touch him? Should I not touch him? Like it's just
the whole exchange, just was the whole.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
Family like hugged at one point and she was just
standing there like kind of clapping like Hercules, Hercules, Hercules.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
The fact that Olu was just sitting there smiling and
laughing though, that's what made it even funnier.

Speaker 6 (22:22):
He was just in his he was in his face.
He was totally oblivious. She was on the outside. She
was looking for the support. He's like, hey, it's my family.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Get used to it. So, with that being said one
of the other Lee out here trying to find it
so he could text messages, he's.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
Really hoping, he's really hoping for more acceptance.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
I'm saying it. Look, he's like, I've seen it.

Speaker 4 (23:01):
They hugged let me, which is you know, it's It's
interesting because I thought Lee would have defended the mom
based on his resume.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
Instead he's not. He's going the other way. That's more. Uh, yeah,
I don't see nothing. Yeah, I just see the.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
Blenders update is all I got, which was thank god
for Lee. We cleared that up earlier. Okay, now now
I do see Lee's trying to say that Olshanu's mom,
you didn't send anything.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
I'll though again, a lot of people kind of had
that we're rich bits kind of reaction.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
They did, you know they did. I'm telling you when
when people reached their arms up to the heaven and
I mean and they just reached out like Jesus, you
could take.

Speaker 5 (23:56):
Me what I noticed?

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Which one what When the mom.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Leans over to hug him, the girlfriend slides in a
little closer.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Yes, right she did. I'm with Lee. What an embrace?
What a welcome? We are? Where is it? Look right here?
That's an embrace.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
She got her whole right buttchee. When when the when
Mama turned to hug, she took up that space. There's
an open gap. She filled it and then she was
right there to hug.

Speaker 5 (24:30):
Mama.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
Hey, Mama, for shant everybody in that house be proud
of yourselves like that. That is how you show everybody
that we're all one and we are Penn State.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
We are ah oh.

Speaker 5 (24:43):
But then Mama kind of boxed her out of the picture. Though, man,
not at the end. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
She was really trying to figure it out. That's like
she was really trying to figure it out. This man
well lesser, so good luck.

Speaker 5 (25:02):
I feel for good Luckily.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
I've been there. I feel for her. Oh yeah, good luckily.
I mean, uh, Lee just trying not to look his
awkward man, like I try not to draw so much attention.
More you try not to, the more you do.

Speaker 5 (25:17):
You know.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
It's like the first night, the first time I went
over to the in laws for a Christmas Eve and
they were having Tamali's and asked if they had any ketchup.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
It was like I was. I was basically O lose girlfriend.
They looked at me like, what are you doing? Cannot
Can I just explain to you what makes it like
not awkward in those situations as if he had, if
he had acknowledged her, you know what I mean, Like
I just got to keep going back to.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
He didn't acknowledge her.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Oh was Oh was in his world, man like whatever
world he went into when they called his name, that's
where he was living. Well, he's going to New York.
He stayed right in the center. He did not he
did not move, He did not deviate. He did he
was just right there, smiling, laughing. It wouldn't have been

(26:05):
as awkward if he would have just got up, like
this is what you do, right, You get up, You
hug your mom, you hug your dad, you hug your chick.
Everybody like turn you acknowledge people like Oh, Lou was
just sitting there like Olu time, like Olu's happy and
what time y'all got Lou? I got Lou thirty, Olu

(26:30):
forty five. He was chilling. That's what made it awkward
because she was trying to figure out like when do
I do it?

Speaker 5 (26:37):
Like?

Speaker 2 (26:37):
I don't want to be disrespectful. I don't want to
be that girl. And she turned out to be that
girl just because she was trying not to be. And
that's sad. Oh, lou do better, man, you gotta do better.
You had her out there, you had literally you had
her out there.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
Well, somebody who's been out there misinterpreting on reach and
damn shame's somebody who's been out there in trade talks
has been Brandon Ayuk. Now, for what it's worth, Brady's guy,
Mike Silver's.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Been covering the NFL for a long time. Brady loves
Mike Silver, big fan of Mike Silver, loves them.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
Mike Silver said, based on conversations that he has had
with people around the league, and again he's been doing
a long time, very well sourced, he says that it's
more likely than not that the forty nine ers would
trade Deebo Samuel and not Brandon Ayuk.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
Oh wow, that's what he said. That's what he reported.
Did you make that up?

Speaker 3 (27:38):
No?

Speaker 4 (27:39):
He tweeted that he said, based on conversations, it's more
likely they would trade Deebo instead of Brandon oh Man.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
I mean, there's two big issues with that. The first
is the way they use Debo, Like they're so creative
in the many different ways they get him the football,
so I'd hate that. And the second thing is their
walkout him and Trent Way when they got the boom box.

Speaker 5 (28:01):
I don't know who the dude is with the boom Box.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
It's awesome, and it's always like Debo and Trent like
walking out.

Speaker 5 (28:06):
Together kind of as they get going.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
And I don't know, like I'm not like a Niners
fan or I think I'm not partial, but I get hyped.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
Up, like all right, here they come, man, here the
boys camp, but let's go. So that's gonna be disappointed
because you can't just replace that, you know.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
So they drafted Ricky Piersoll out of Florida, and John
Lynch spoke yesterday following the draft pick and then talked
about the status of both Brandon Ayuk and Deebo Samuel.

Speaker 10 (28:33):
We're continuing to have positive talks with BA and you know,
we are really efforting to get something done with him,
and we're excited about continuing down that path and Brandon
being a part of this team. Deebo is a part
of this team and a big part of this team. So,
like I said, we feel great about that group and

(28:53):
we feel like we just made it better with another
really good addition to it. Who compliments the group.

Speaker 5 (28:59):
Real, Well, you close the door on a trade, never
closed the door out of trade.

Speaker 10 (29:03):
I mean we you know, we'll we'll always listen and
and and we have and uh, but we like our
group as it.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
Stands based on their track record. Should anybody on that
roster feel safe that's cure in their job. Never I've
just said they kicked the tires on everybody. Tom Brady, I.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Mean they Yeah, that's that they're wieling and dealing. They
have leverage right now for this reason. Anyone who didn't
get a wide receiver that's looking for a bona fide
coming right away help our.

Speaker 5 (29:36):
Roster impact us.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Well, they got two guys, I mean now, one in
Brendon Aukhu's on his fifth year option. He wants a
new deal. So if you're signing up for that, you're
signing up for paying him too. And that's going to
now be as he's probably looking to reset the market
somewhere north of somewhere in the ballpark of thirty two
million per year. Whether whether you think he deserves that
or not doesn't matter. That's like the market, that's the
going right now. We're starting to talk about that for

(29:59):
wide receivers, which is nuts, but that's where we are.
And then Debo, you know his contract, it's it's I mean,
the cap hit this year is like twenty eight point
six million. So what I what I find interesting about
it is they drafted Ricky.

Speaker 5 (30:13):
Piarsl, who, by the way, I love like.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
I didn't think a team would take him in the
first round, but I one hundred percent get why San
Francisco would because Carolina or someone probably would have taken
him at the top of the second round had they
stayed put.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
Instead, they moved up to get a receiver.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
But he's got speed, he's got hands, he's a heck
of a route runner. He could do a bunch of
different things. So I love the pick. And I think
if you're San Francisco and you're looking at what Philly's
done with Reep and aj Brown and DeVante Smith, and
you look at who you have to beat to win
a Super Bowl, which is the Kansas City Chiefs, and
look what they did in the draft, and what they've
done this offseason. You kind of have to figure out

(30:50):
a way of making this work to keep all this
firepower at least for this year. And look, you got broocked,
pretty us rooky deal. So why not try to maximize
have these three studs at wide receiver for you along
with Kittle, along with McCaffrey, and go after it and
figure out a way of like making it work. I mean,
Philly's making it work. They've got a ton of money,

(31:12):
you know, wrapped up into the wide receivers, but it
sounds like like they're going to have.

Speaker 5 (31:16):
To move on from one of them, I guess to
make it all work.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
Yeah, so we get to watch that fun story play out,
and who knows, maybe it'll get done later on today
we'll see. But coming up next here we close up
shop with a special edition of Over Unders here on

It's over under to lead the lab I mean, I
don't know why we're trusting you to be able to
give out accurate information this time based on what happened
during the look back on over unders.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
For the first round of the draft. That was solid.
I got perfect. Brady won, Okay.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
I mean, here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
When Jonas comes in strong, knowing how bad he is
a betting, I just we've got to humble you a
little bit.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
John It okay, first of all, bad, I am a betting.
You saw the proof.

Speaker 4 (33:18):
You saw the proof that I bet on Caleb Williams
to go number one overall?

Speaker 5 (33:22):
That is true. Did you see you see that bet?

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Yeah? We bet twenty bucks to win.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
You been.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
I did see that. Hey, when's the way you can
kiss my ass? All right? I did see it.

Speaker 4 (33:35):
Those two pennies I could throw in a fountain in
a car wash and somebody would look at that and go,
you know, that's good luck.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
So that's you know I'm gonna I'm gonna take those
wins when I can get it. All right, Lee, what
have we got? Are we doing last week's or are
we just going to this week? This week? I probably
won last week.

Speaker 11 (33:49):
Too, No, you lost, all right, guys, let's just do
this week, all right. Let' we got some more draft
to go through, So let's do this we talked about it.
Raiders are the favorite to draft Spencer Rattler. They pick
at number forty four over under on where Spencer Ratler
gets drafted forty four and a.

Speaker 5 (34:04):
Half under under, I think his name goes off early.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
I'm gonna take the over.

Speaker 5 (34:15):
Such a bad crush.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
I'm gonna take the over on Spencer Rattler. Yeah, coke
D Coke D.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
Rattlesnake can't even acknowledge that drug addict.

Speaker 11 (34:32):
Guys about this round A punter or kicker gets drafted
in four and a half.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Ooh, it's been a funky draft. I'm gonna take the under.

Speaker 5 (34:44):
I'm trying to think who's hyped up enough?

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Taylor from gonna take the over?

Speaker 1 (34:49):
I just I feel like Tom Brady got taken the
sixth round.

Speaker 5 (34:55):
Pretty what mister irrelevant?

Speaker 2 (34:57):
Like? What about to do from iowas he out in
the draft?

Speaker 5 (35:00):
Oh no, he is in the draft.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
Yeah, I'm gonna take you to put my money on
him taking the under.

Speaker 5 (35:04):
He gets drafted in the fourth round.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Yep, by the four man.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
He probably should I mean, hell, he's pretty good.

Speaker 5 (35:11):
But I'm just gonna say, say the over.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
Guys.

Speaker 11 (35:16):
Blake Korham big name amongst the running backs. Where is
he amongst the draft positions among the running backs? Two
and a half? So Lake Korum's draft position among running
backs two and a half.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
You've got Jonathan Brooks, who's gonna be the first running
back taking off the board.

Speaker 5 (35:30):
I think you come up an injury though, Trey.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
Benson out of Florida State, whom I mentioning you got
Blake korm Is a part of that conversation.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
That's too much of an educated over under for me.
Marshawn Lloyd, Jalen Wright.

Speaker 5 (35:45):
I don't know that it put him ahead of him
jaalen Wright. Maybe someone to you might like him better.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Bryln Allen's who's young, too, bigger back, different style, Bucky
Irvans the other guy I really like.

Speaker 5 (35:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
I don't take the over.

Speaker 5 (35:58):
I'll take the over two.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
Take the under. All right? There it is. I mean, damn, damn,
I didn't get to go. Why you say it like that? Man?
Like cutting me off? Like come on, like doing my
research here? All right?

Speaker 11 (36:21):
Fellow's number of players who were traded through the rest
of the draft at a half.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
Oh, I'll take that over. Somebody's getting out. Somebody's going
to get out. You heard go entertained, all all trades,
all over, traded out of here to day and fellas
you got to cap it off, right, mister irrelevant, Will
it be an offensive or defensive player? I think the

(36:48):
racial deal would be a better overall black or white. Alright, Yes,
I know I was gonna say that. Oh no, no,
I was gonna but I'm going white a way, mister irrelevant.
What was the first round?

Speaker 5 (37:06):
Did we do the numbers on.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
That number of black versus white?

Speaker 2 (37:11):
But listen, listen there.

Speaker 5 (37:15):
Did we get over five?

Speaker 4 (37:16):
And I mean it depends on still out, It depends
on racist.

Speaker 5 (37:22):
It was a quarterback or saying nothing.

Speaker 4 (37:24):
You know, mister irrelevant in defense of Olu's girlfriend.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
Yes, you're going white.

Speaker 4 (37:32):
I'm gonna go black for mister irrelevant.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
Here it's black. No, oh no, you go black, don't
