Speaker 1 (01:47):
And you got to give the New York Jets credit,
you guys, because man, that.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Team, the Jets, or Aaron Rodger that.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Team, because the Jets, that franchise, they're not very good,
and they have been good for decades. But you know what,
every single Tuesday, they're dropping bombs.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
They're trying, they're trying. Man, good for them. Yeah, finally
got done yesterday. Come on, Varr, give him some credit.
I've given Aaron Rodgers all the credit.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Aaron. He's trying.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
He is trying. Aaron Rodgers is trying. I'm with y'all,
I'm with it.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
So Davante Adams the worst kept secret in the world
of sports?

Speaker 3 (02:28):
How was it a secret?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Gone?

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Jet's told y'all.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Man up and vanished like a fart in the wind.
He's headed to the Jets in exchange for it.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
With that horrible hamstring.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Huh's amazing that health.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
He's all good now. Huh he got that trade, that
trade rehab.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
That casino flew in Vegas. He's headed to the Jets
in exchange. It's a conditional third round pick that could
become a second if he's a first or second team
All Pro, so it won't or if he's on the
Jets active roster for the a SEE Title Game or
the Super Bowl. But nonetheless, Davante Adams ends up back
with Aaron Rodgers, And yes, at least we know we're

(03:09):
going to find out at the end of this whole
thing whether or not Rogers still has it, because it
feels like everything's been laid in and everything's been put
in place for him to try and a successful run.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
At the end of this thing. Following the loss on
Monday night.

Speaker 6 (03:21):
Obviously, I'm really excited.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Obviously it really might What was that?

Speaker 5 (03:29):
I mean, he is the great, I mean, whatever that
is that does happen, it's very magical.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
He controls everything, doesn't He's.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Controlling everything, even if we play his SoundBite or not.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Yeah, So initial thoughts, initial thoughts on the deal for
DeVante Adams, and the first.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Thing that stands out was the timing of it, which
you guys know, this had to have been done before
they played on Monday night football. That's the crazy thing
is he was probably he probably knew this was gonna
happen come Tuesday, but he's out there playing on Monday,
thinking like I.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Could have Deavonte Adam out here with me right now.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
So that's the first thing, is the as fast as
the trade occurred, and then on top of it, the
restructured contract for DeVonta Adams.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
This really was probably done on Monday.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
So it's kind of crazy to think that he was
going and playing that game and probably in the back
of his mind and then seeing how things played out
with Mike Williams in particular at that final played interception.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Who Mike Williams now I guess on the trading block.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
He's wonder if that was like the last straw, or
if there's anything that Mike Williams could have done in
that game where would have changed his fortune, because he
was one of the big free agent signs in the
offseason that was soosed to help out this prosser. Now
he ends up being on the trade block and they
get DeVonta Adams, who is going to be the number
one wide receiver, And I just wonder what happens for

(04:59):
Garret Wilson, who is their number one wide receiver.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
But clearly, given the history.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Given the ability of Davonte Adams is gonna be knocked
down to probably that number two receiver. It would open
things up for him, But at the same time, he's
not gonna get his made targets as he was in
the past.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
I don't think so. They said he was frustrated.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
They said he was frustrated before all of this took place,
Garrett Wilson, And so to me, my I just I'll
just look at it like this. Aaron Rodgers said he
can't wait to play with Davante Adams again. I mean,
the quote is out there. He said it. They they
knew it. This was, This was orchestrated long before this

(05:42):
trade took place, whenever it took place, and whatever it is,
whatever it is Aaron Rodgers got going on. I know
you can't. It's not it's not politically correct to say
the p hand. But his hand is strong and it's
gotta it's got a pinky, pinky nail and a pinky

(06:02):
ring on it and whatever it is he's saying.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
He's doing.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
What do you mean by a p hand?

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Yeah, I can't say it. You say it. You know
they drive Cadillacs.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
You know some people say that there you go, there
you go.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Why can't I say that? I don't know it's they say.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
It's like like you can't say like the T shirt
that that the tank tops. You can't call him just
like the movie Pooty Tang. It's kind of like Pooty Tang. Yeah,
it's kind of like Pooty Tang. But for one reason
or another, it's not politically correct to say the p hand.
Or you can't say what what tank tops? What we
used to call like the regular like Haynes tank tops.

(06:43):
You can't call him the WB's anymore. Yeah, yeah, you
can't call him that. It's like not politically correct, and
you could end up getting canceled off of saying it,
I guess. But but anyway, he's wearing that tank top
and he's got a pinky ring, and he's got a
pinky nail, and he can cut his blunts with that
pinky nail because it's almost like a razor blade. It's

(07:06):
used like multiple purpose. The dude is really really he's
he's he's manufacturing and he's structuring this team the way
he wants it. And if anybody wants to deny that
after what just took place with Davante Adams, I mean,

(07:28):
you know.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
Go in peace.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
I can't. I can't go with you on that one.
I just can't. So if if at one point I
sat there and thought to myself, you know what, Aaron
Rodgers had nothing to do with Robert Salah losing his job.
I know he went on on air he said that
that as much is what it was, he had nothing

(07:52):
to do with it. Whatever's going on, it's the decision
that's purely made.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
I know. That's the reports we heard Aaron.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
We heard ab Albert Breer said, we you know, it
was out there that Aaron Rodgers had nothing to do
with it. Aaron Rodgers has everything to do with what's
taking place in New York right now, everything to do
with it. Whether he knows it or not, whether he
wants to acknowledge it or not, whatever it may be,
doesn't matter. He has everything to do with what's going

(08:22):
on in New York. And I think with this Davante
Adams trade, it's evident. It's evident that he's orchestrating and
that he's maneuvering this team to be the way that
he wants it to be. That was the most life
we saw out of him in this game, this last game.
It was the most life we saw out of him,
and he played well. That's the first time we saw

(08:44):
him look happy, and he played with a lot of
energy and he played well. And it was the first
game without Robert Sliss. They lose the game. They still
lose the game, even though the man was happy, and
then they go out and get Davonte Adams. What's next?

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Well, what I mean, would you like to hear Rogers
discuss the situation?

Speaker 3 (09:03):
Are you sure we're going hearing the.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Well, love, We're going to hear him, And I think
there's maybe a little bit of pushback on the timing
when he found out about it, in his involvement with
this whole thing here. He was yesterday on the Pat
McAfee show starring the Great A.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Jhawk.

Speaker 7 (09:16):
Obviously really excited, loveday. He's a phenomenal player and a
dear friend. He was a crappy day yesterday. Obviously we
had a real good chance to get to three and
three and win a home game.

Speaker 6 (09:29):
Kind of gave that one away.

Speaker 7 (09:31):
I was pissed driving home through traffic, had a couple
of messages. I was just not in the mood to
talk to anybody. Got home and Tad called.

Speaker 6 (09:40):
Me, so I finally called him back. And so about
two point forty five lat last night, I heard the
news it's definitely adding left our team.

Speaker 7 (09:48):
But I think energetically, you know, with the change that
we had, that was kind of can't be disjointing for.

Speaker 6 (09:55):
Energetics in the team. For guys want to know what
does this mean?

Speaker 7 (09:59):
Then the way Brick can everything, you know, it's his
class and good leadership, and now this move lets everybody know, Hey,
it's on us.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
Now because we're going all in and it's our time
to go out there and win games. Get on a run,
which you know we all feel deep down is going
to happen.

Speaker 8 (10:16):
You know.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Good for Woody Johnson. I'll say this.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
You know, it's a nice, pleasant surprise for Rogers to
not know about this trade in advance and then to
find out after a tough loss like that when he
got home, probably having a little bit of scotch, you know,
a two or three finger glass, and next thing, you know,
he gets the word that Davante Adams is good for
you is on the team.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
Hey, listening to you say it that within it kind
of has a real pattern to it. Huh. They lose,
Aaron Rodgers is pissed off, something happens, Woody does something
that seems to beat equation. What happens if they lose
with Devonte? That?

Speaker 3 (10:52):
I just who's next? What's next?

Speaker 2 (10:56):
I do wonder to Brady's point, because one of the
reports was that the deal was completed before the Monday
night games. Should put me.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
Out, Which if that's the case, then that it makes
what he said even more likeable.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
I wonder if he felt suspect.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
I wonder if he felt more comfortable airing out Mike
Williams knowing that like well, I'm not really gonna have
to deal with this guy much longer, So why not,
you know.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Because maybe if he had to deal with Mike Williams,
you know, for the next foreseeable future, he would have
been a little bit more gentle with all those game comments.
Now that he's acting against Jackie Moon will Ferrell's character
from semi pro I don't know, if you're gonna be
a player general manager, you want to devalue him by
area him mount like that. You probably wanted to build
him up, you know, take more accountability there.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
At least that's how I would see it.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
So, I mean, but what's crazy about it is, in
I don't know, the span of twenty four hours they lose,
they get Devanta Adams, Mike Wims on the trade block,
Hasaan Redicks also on the trade block.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
I mean, so many things cleaned up relatively fast now.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
So either this has been going on now for about
a week since the Roberts solid firing, or they had
a meeting and they kind of came to it and said,
here's what we're gonna do.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
We got two decisions.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
We can either kind of limp through this thing, or
since we've got Aaron here, he's got another year left
on his contract. Let's just go all in and let's
do something that will entice him to not only be
here this year but also next year, because I do
wonder if long term, as we've speculated, who knows if
Philly will want to come back after this year. Based
on how it will happen, it feels like, well, DeVante's there,

(12:37):
he's got Alan Lazard, he's got Garre Wilson, which I
don't know what the late relationship is, like, I don't
know how the rest.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Of the season's gonna go.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
But with those three receivers the backfield, they had an
improved offensive line. That group's only going to get better
too through another offseason either because we're working together, they'll
continue to add to it. And this defense is already
pretty much stay intact. It's a good team on paper,
good ross. And you've got this window of time and
say what you want about Whatddy Johnson's He's chosen to

(13:06):
make this decision to allow Aaron Rodgers to have all
his power, but he's also going all in, like we
will not look back at this era for the New
York Jets and say that their owner didn't give that
quarterback everything he's wanted. I mean, seriously, what what is
he not provided Aaron Rodgers at this point that he's

(13:29):
wanted a spouse.

Speaker 5 (13:31):
Maybe I don't I think maybe that anything.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Maybe he's done that. I don't know. But as it
a plasta on the field, he's giving them everything weed.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Rooms it does. I mean, it does feel like everything's
been kind of laid out for him.

Speaker 5 (13:53):
But you know what if Brady did the same thing.
Somebody sent somewhere listening to us right now.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Is like Tom Brady did the same thing. Yeah he did,
he did, Yes he did.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Blazer family did. They went all in right, like go back,
go back. I mean, I've said this back with Peyton
going to Denver, you don't want to know what one
of the biggest things that the Broncos did for Peyton
was they said, we we as a coaching staff organizatic,
we'll learn your offense, you run whatever you want to do.

(14:22):
You know Greg Roskoff, who does muscle activation tech and
technique m AT. That was a big part of Peyton's
rehab routine coming back from the neck injury. And he
had you know, Greg had worked with a team intimately
for a while but that was another big piece of it, right,
having all the resources that he needed, you know, to

(14:43):
be there to help him get through that initial season,
all that in the next couple of years where he
ends up setting records. But between all the different players
they had there, whether it's Damarius Thomas, god rest Is
soul Eric Decker, all of the people that came in there,
Wes welkeru ends up coming in there. I mean, they
they stacked that thing around him, They build up the
offensive line to the point where like he had his

(15:05):
shot at winning a Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
So I just there's something to be said for that.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Like I think we've we've given Woody Johnson maybe some
flat for how he's handled the situation with Robert Salah.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
But if this works in the end, this.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Will ultimately we'll look back favorably and say, yeah, man,
like say what you want. But it worked for the Broncos,
it worked for the Buccaneers, it worked for the New
York Jets. I Mean there's a lot of owners who
just sit back and cast checks like they you know,
we'll put out a mediocre product, you know, as long
as you keep coming through the turnstiles, and then we're good.
So at least he's like, I wonder how Jets fans feel.

(15:44):
I mean, do you do you feel like Aaron.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
Rodgers has that much control at this point?

Speaker 5 (15:48):
Yes, I mean it seems rather obvious, but yeah, it
is obvious.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
Well are you okay with that?

Speaker 2 (15:53):
They're not in a position I mean, this is this
is like one of those wild times where LeVar was
back during a single days.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
He's getting tied up or handcut. He doesn't have any control.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
That's just going to that's a great correct I was
just going to say that you like water. They're not
in a position to dictate to anybody how the team
should be run like at all, in any way whatsoever.
They are not good and they have not been good
for years. So you take whatever it is it's going

(16:24):
to get you in the headlines and whatever is going
to get you back back to success. They don't know
a damn thing about it. So just go with the
flow and see if this works. Because you tried everything
else and it didn't, so you may as well just
let Aaron Rodgers have whatever say he wants at this
point and then just ride it all the way through. So,
I mean I'm a.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Little skeptical I've you know, been very bullish on the
Jets that they're going to be a playoff team hoping
for the best. I don't want to have to admit
that Levarro was right at the end of this whole thing,
but you know, at least we're going to get an
answer Adams.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
If he's healthy, all right, if he's good to go,
they can I give you the updated NFL playoff predictions
as of today.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
All right, can we get some game show music here?

Speaker 3 (17:14):
Yeah, some sort of music.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
We have a live studio band type of music here?
All right? Where we go?

Speaker 5 (17:19):
That's the one right there too.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
All right.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
If you recall, the Jets were sitting in the number
eight spot before their Monday night football game versus Buffalo Bills,
which they lost, dropping them to two and four. Now
the question is how low did they go? LeVar? How
far the New York Jets drop in the playoff picture
of the playoffs or to start today?

Speaker 5 (17:45):
I would say they be the well I think they'd
be out. Well, they are out. They are out, but
it's not as significant of a drop as you would think. Jonas,
do you want to you want to try this?

Speaker 2 (17:59):
I'm gonna say in the ten spot. That's right there
on the ten spot. Oh okay, he most likely looked
it up. But they're in the ten spot. And what's
interesting about that is if they beat Pittsburgh in Week seven,
their playoff probability increases to sixty six percent.

Speaker 5 (18:20):
They're currently one game out of first place when they
lost this last game to Buffalo.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Correct And what's crazy is their current playoff probability is
fifty seven percent. It's by far the highest of any
of the teams that are on the outside looking in.
In fact, it's even higher than the Colts, who are
at three and three, currently sitting in the seventh spot.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
So this thing sets up for the.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
Jets to make a run to make it in based
on the nfl dot com Playoff Predictor, even though they're
sitting in the tenth spot, a couple of spots, a
few spots, excuse me, outside of that final playoff spot.
How about that? That sounds good? Should you put that
in your pipe and smell?

Speaker 5 (19:04):
I mean, I think the Davante Adams move is significant.
Now he's got two guys that he trusts. He's got
two one guy that is a legitimate, He's a legitimate,
legitimate one receiver and threat. I mean, you got Breeze
Hall in the backfield. I'm if it doesn't work. If

(19:28):
it doesn't work out, I mean, I don't know what
you blame it on. I don't know what you blame
it on. I don't because I mean the addition of Adams,
they're already you know, on paper, they're already just a
super super stacked team.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
Bad for Gardner, Minshew and Ain O'Connell and also the
training staff for the Raiders. I mean, they couldn't get
his hamstring right now.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
He's got to go to the Jets to get a Well,
clearly they did a good enough job where he was tradable.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
That's true. We passed the physical there you go, because
you have to take up physical when you get there.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
You have to pass that.

Speaker 5 (20:06):
So they did well enough to get him, you know,
get him out, get him through the physical, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Good job to the to the Vegas Raiders.

Speaker 5 (20:13):
Yeah, try me, boy, Yeah, way to get it done.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
Boy.

Speaker 1 (20:19):

Speaker 8 (21:29):
So we started with postseason baseball Game two American League
Championship Series and the Yankees defeat the Guardians six to three.
Fresno State's own Era Judge with a home run a
two run shot, his first home run this postseason. He
drove in three runs overall. Alex Vrdugo had an RBI double,
and the Yankees scored on an error as well to
account for their six runs. Starting Vitrid Garrett Cole for
New York four and a third innings, two runs, six

(21:51):
hits in the bullpen for New York four and two
thirds innings, one run on two hits. New York has
a two to OH series advantage. Series now shifts to
Cleveland for Game three. NHL Games of note, Yeah, the
Panthers beat the Blue Jackets four to three. That was
Columbus's home opener. They honored star Johnny Gaudreau, who was
killed in the off season. They retired as number thirteen
before the game. Lightning beat the Canucks four to one.

(22:12):
That was Tampa Bay's home opener, although not the original
home opener, which was postponed due to Hurricane Milton. Stars
over the Sharks three to two in a shootout. Dallas's
four and oh Flames beat the Blackhawks three to one.
Calgary is four and oh to start the year, and
the Hurricanes down the Devils.

(22:53):
up in a little over fifteen minutes from now. We
know and have some information about the super Bowl. The
super Bowl coming up here very very soon, and it's
good news. If you've ever been there before, that'll be
yours here a little over fifty three team now, I mean.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
It might have been the worst one that you've ever
dot thank you. That one was kind of bad.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
Way, Eddie, I was actually you know, I was actually
at the Blue Jackets game last night, Eddie. That was
a just it's devastating with the Goodrow story. I know
we've talked about it before, but just devastating with the tribute,
the retiring of the jersey, everything they did, called in,
did a nice job of honoring him, but just an awful,

(23:34):
awful story for the Gudreaux family. So that was It
was tough. And obviously they lost four to three to
Florida last night, but I can't recall another time of
a tribute like that before, like a home opener of
a game. I just I think as a player, like
how do you come back, you know, from a from
an in issue like that or an incident like that.

Speaker 8 (23:55):
It's tough, Yeah, no doubt, and uh, you know his
family being there obviously, and uh you know them starting
the game where they didn't put out a player at
his position on the ice and yeah, yeah, seconds was
a cool touch. Yeah he's number thirteen. Yeah no, that's amazing.
I didn't know you were there. That's I'm sure that
was something. Yeah, it was.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
But I kept thinking as I'm watching all this, and
I mean everyone relates when you have kids and you
have a family, and the worst part about is his
you know, his wife's pregnant.

Speaker 5 (24:23):
So what what is that the one? They're the ones
that him and his brother Yes, okay, yeah Bike in
New Jersey.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
Yeah, that's just tragic.

Speaker 8 (24:33):
Man.

Speaker 5 (24:34):
And my wife is pregnant. Wow, both wives, both of them.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Yeah yeah, wow yeah, but wow. Didn't mean to get
onto a to a sour note. I was just thinking
last night they did a really good job. Like I'm
not sure how you cannot ultimately do that, right. It's like,
I don't know what prepares you for a moment like
that and how you honor someone. But I thought Columbus
did as good of a job as they could have

(24:58):
done considering their circumstance.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
So I would have.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
Had a hard time playing after that, to be honest
with you, if I Well, that's where like Monahan, his
best friend his lockers, you know, right next to his
and they've they've kept up the locker with his jersey
in it throughout the season, and I could only imagine,
like he came to Columbus this offseason to play with him,
and then to have all this transpire and you're watching

(25:21):
all this before the game and he had a goal.
I mean, that was one of the coolest parts is
he had a goal in the game pointed up to
Goodrow's jersey and the rafters, so it was it was
a pretty neat touching moment, despite the fact that ultimately
Columbus lost in the.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
End, and Calgary did something for him too, right, Eddie,
Because I played he played with the Flames as well too,
so I think Calgary had something.

Speaker 8 (25:40):
Yeah, most of his career and probably you know, the
biggest you know, his biggest moments were with with with Calgary.
He didn't you know, he came to Columbus, signed the
big deal and was trying to get that franchise, you know,
kind of off the ground. They don't get a lot
of big name free agents with the Blue Jackets, and
that was a big deal for them, and they were
hoping to kind of turn it around.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
But yeah, it's that was tough.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
Yea awful, awful situation.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
I did.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
I didn't see something that I wanted to ask you
guys about. And this is completely on a separate subject
and it's not easy to ever segue from that subject
to anything else. But I'm gonna do my best here.
So as I was going through some of the highlights
and seeing some different things from this past weekend, and
not to like go back and harp on the Colin
Coward video, but it is somewhat related to that. So

(26:29):
I'm looking at these different videos and I come across,
basically a shot of a guy in a Penn State
tank top who's filming himself running out of the tunnel
at the Coliseums with Southern Collis football team. And I'm
thinking to myself, did this guy like rush the field?

(26:50):
Did he find his How does this happen? And it
goes It just goes to show you USC will do nothing.
They will stop at nothing to make to make a buck,
all right. They will allow you to run out with
their team at home games. This young man played eighteen
hundred dollars I believe for him and his wife to
run out despite the fact that they're Penn State fans.

(27:12):
He's yelling we are, He's full fledged, full fledged supporting.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
The opposing team. Yet Southern cal allows.

Speaker 5 (27:21):
Him to run out with their He paid that cut, Yeah,
he paid what he was supposed to pay.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
There's no way this can continue, right, Like could you
imagine like a Michigan fan running out of Ohio State's
tunnel or vice versa.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
It would never happen. It would never happen.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Like who's response over the checks and balances there at USC?
Like you let a homeless guy field punts at practice,
like Clay Helton had a golf simulator. Now you've got
rival fans that can run out into the coliseum before
the game. This is like a nationally televised when you.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Don't think it could get worse, it gets worse, It
gets worse.

Speaker 5 (27:59):
I didn't even understand it at first when I was watching.
I was like, what's going on? That's like that's USC
walking behind him, Like I'm trying to understand what what's
going on? What's happening? And then I read it. It's like,
oh wow, it's pretty dope, Like what what dude did
is kind of epic for.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
Us, And it's only eighteen hundred dollars like that something
like that, with the embarrassment for thirty six hundred dollars
for two like ten grand I could be like, all right, yeah,
but it's like I don't know that it was I
don't know that it was thirty six hundred.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
I think they might have paid eighteen hundred total for that.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
So nine hundred a piece to run out.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
It could have been. I'm not exactly.

Speaker 5 (28:37):
I think it's like twelve hundred of person, twelve thirteen
hundred a person. This guy said eighteen hundred in this one. Yeah,
I think it's I mean, I don't know. I don't know.
I mean, I know, I've read what I do. If
you want far yeah, no, I'm okay with I'm okay there.
I mean that thing is pretty I think what he
did is pretty dope, man.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Do you watch some video like some of the USC
players are like seriously like this is like this is
where it's at, Like this is this is what's going
on here. We're just gonna let some guy run out.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
I mean some Yeah, let me ask you this.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
If you're a player, and even though that money could
be going into your nil fud, so you might be
receiving a portion of that.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
All money ain't good money, man.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
Well that's that's what I'm thinking about. Head of everyone,
I think I'd rather not see this rather not If
you imagine if he turned around started talking trash to bro.

Speaker 5 (29:31):
When we played against Illinois, the Illinois players were walking
on on Penn State side of the field, and it
took everything in me not to do something like I'm
sitting there, I'm standing on the sideline. They're walking towards me,
and I'm looking these dudes in their eyes. Now, i

(29:53):
haven't played at Penn State since nineteen ninety nine.

Speaker 6 (29:58):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Oh wow, wow wow. What you know, I'm old.

Speaker 5 (30:06):
I'm old, Like, thank you, thank you, thanks man. Anyway,
It's not like I would have been able to do anything.
I'm old, you know what I mean. But I saw
those guys walking down the sideline and I'm looking them
in their faces like you mother, right. Yeah, I wasn't

(30:26):
going to do it, But the point is. The point
is then I look at at the players and I'm like,
you don't have a.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
Problem with this, y don't have a problem with this.

Speaker 5 (30:36):
Cats was getting turnd up to like it almost I
almost incited like something on the sideline because I'm sitting
there as they're walking through, like they're walking around me.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
Because I wasn't going to move.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
They're walking around me, and I start talking to our
players while they're like walking past me, and I just
don't know how I would react to. That's just there's
just certain acts of disrespect that should never happen, let
alone the university being the reason.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Why it happens, you know, to be honest with you,
I think Illinois doing that, Like we've seen that before,
and that's like, you know, mind games, we're going to
show you. They were, like I.

Speaker 5 (31:17):
Get all, they were. They were one hundred percent trying
to set a tone. You could tell by the way
they were doing it. They were trying to like set
a tone with our with our team.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
That I can like. It was a guy from a
rival team playing eighteen hundred dollars to run out of
your tunnel onto He.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
Was setting fans, he was setting a.

Speaker 5 (31:35):
Tone he's not even playing. He was sett in a
tone he wasn't even playing. They gave they gave that
man the singular power to set a tone. And you
know what's crazy now that this became a story because
I didn't even I was unaware of it. Now it's
become a story. Why wouldn't any Why wouldn't somebody from now,
Why wouldn't the team pay for somebody to be able

(31:56):
to do it?

Speaker 3 (31:57):
I pat hell, why wouldn't.

Speaker 5 (31:59):
A booster be like, yeah, I'm gonna pay, like how
many how many fans we got traveling on what ten
of y'all?

Speaker 3 (32:04):
Y'all want to go out?

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Okay, you know, God, you know what you should have done?

Speaker 4 (32:07):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Pay Lee and I are like, just to pay for
Lee and I had to do it, and we could
wear our linebacker you shirts running out of the tunnel.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
The Collie I would have been, I mean, why would
you do it? I didn't flowing.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
I didn't know. I didn't know.

Speaker 5 (32:22):
I would have paid for the jersey. I would have
paid for him to have on a stick City shirt.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Baby.

Speaker 5 (32:26):
But just remember the type of type of running that
would get.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
Hey, you guys, just remember this though.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
If you dare say that football is different in other
places than out here in LA, you know, people take
offense to that. This is more proof because I can't
imagine this would have flown at Penn State or Notre Dame.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
They had they had a fan, if they had a kidd,
if they have bro Like.

Speaker 5 (32:48):
You got to keep in mind we have Steeler and
we have Eagles fans that are are Penn Staters.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
They would have been.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
And listen, I don't want to offend our fan base
because I'm okay with defending the Philadelphia Eagles fan base,
which is weird, but I don't want to fit our fans.
But some of our fans would have probably spit on them.
They would throw things at him, through beers at him.
Now you get to cab beers they would have thrown
like like the police would have had to have intervened
USC fans.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
That's awesome, dude, what's your ig? It's unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
Man.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
I can't wait till Patres gets a hold of this
an hour three field.

Speaker 3 (33:26):
We'll have to ask him about it for sure.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
I just I mean, I'll put it this way. Notre Dame,
I mean, there is accommodating as it gets. They were
even like, because you know, when we were down there
for Notre Dame USC last year, they were like, yeah,
Matt can't come to like certain areas of the stadium,
like we know you guys are here for the pregame
showing all that, but he's got to stay on their sideline.

(33:50):
And you know there's certain parts of if he wants
to come up to a box unless it's someone for
Southern cal like, he can't. He can't come up there.
And there was a as accommodated and kind as it
would be about that. But they were even aware of
like it just looks bad. I'm like, Okay, that's fine.
I'll make sure to let them.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
Know that's great.

Speaker 8 (34:08):
It is.

Speaker 5 (34:08):
I just it's crazy to got his he got his
two minutes of fame and the gift for him.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
We are that's awesome.

Speaker 10 (35:47):
Good morning everybody, Good morning Jonas, Good morning Brady, Good
morning LeVar.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
In case you missed this, the NFL has officially.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Announced that the Super Bowl.

Speaker 10 (35:55):
Hey Brady, this the NFL is officially announced that the
Super Bowl in twenty two eight. We will be playing
at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
Have you guys been to Atlanta for the Super Bowl before?

Speaker 3 (36:07):
Why do you ask a question of the answers?

Speaker 1 (36:09):
Okay, I'm asking because I want to ask both of
you guys. I don't want to just assume.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
Can I give you the backstory here? Why he's doing
this was we went to a Ted's Montana grill. I
didn't even think about that. Actually, Jonas walked in or
we would you and I go together? And then my
wife walked in, yeah, with her bags.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:26):
I think my wife came in from the airport to
meet us and we proceeded to get drunk. No, that's well,
that's the simplest way I've explained that. I actually wasn't
thinking about that.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
I think Atlanta was the most organized, cleanest super Bowl nice.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
Yeah, like it's nice. It's all essentially located. It's awesome. Yeah,
and so I but we got hammered at Ted's Montana.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
That is true.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
That's that's he eventually wants to get to that.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
No, I really didn't even think about that. But that
is a great point, and that'll happen again if we're
if we're still here doing this show and we get
to go to a super Bowl week there, And I
would just say this, if we're still here doing good,
it's good news. It's good news that this super Bowl
is going to be back that way, because I'm a
little fed up with these West Coast super Bowls, to
be honest with Thank God, I'm tired of it. So
I think that's good news for everybody.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
Yeah, East Guts time would be awesome for us.

Speaker 5 (37:14):
I mean, at least people might be starting to come
in there, you know.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
Yeah, twenty twenty eight, is that right? Yeah? Okay, nice?
All right?

Speaker 2 (37:23):
What else we got, guys?

Speaker 10 (37:24):
In case you missed this, Will Compton of Buzzed with
the Boys has responded to The Washington Post, who's reached
out for a comment regarding his interview with Donald Trump.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
Take a listen to the explanation.

Speaker 9 (37:34):
The Washington Post has reached out for a comment regarding
a remark that Trump made during the interview, and I'll
post this email so you guys can see it as well.
But we laughed at a remark Trump made where he's
essentially you're talking about how it used to play tight end,
and he said he didn't want to get hit by

(37:54):
somebody who had been lifting weights all day, every day,
and came from a bad neighborhood.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Trump is essentially admitting that he is not built for
the A gap. He's admitting that he is not built to.

Speaker 9 (38:06):
Catch a slant over the middle, only to get his
vertebrae is L four and L five compressed by a
middle linebacker that probably goes on to play in Nebraska
and debatably ten years in the NFL. But that's why
I'm sitting there thinking it's funny. So the Washington Post
has reached out for comment. Well, Washington Post, here's your comment.

Speaker 5 (38:30):
Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
And you could clearly hear him pivot. You could clearly pivot.
This is all dark dunk.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
First of all, brilliant editing job by lead to lap
to get that down to about a minute and sound.
Also his discipline and ability to hold on to that
duck he had buried in his back pocket for two
plus minutes while he went on that rant.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
It's just brilliant.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
Yeah that that seemed to be a one take. You
know where he goes with the he's not an A
gap guy. He's not some guy catch a slant across
the middle.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
Oh wow, oh.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
And by the way, for anybody that wants to they
all are they going politics? No, funny is funny, that's hilarious.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
That's what we're going with the fart there. That was
our choice.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
Hey, the bar has been set, Lee, you know what
to do. I'll work on it.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
Oh wow, don't say don't do that to Lorena Tang.
