one quarterback in his negotiations. Plus we're going to look
(00:21):
back on the NBA Draft, not really a surprise, and
maybe the story is not even about the number one pick.
Maybe the story is about the number two pick in
the draft. Stick around and listen to that. Plus we've
got the usual fun stuff in Shenanigans and your daily
Aaron Rodgers update. Plus Robert Kraft take some ownership literally
of your situation in New England. We'll have that for

(01:18):
that's gotta.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
Be racist, It's gotta be yeah, it's me what two
pros and a cup of Joe?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
How you feel.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
No Brownie James stories this year? Hauh, just just Coop.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
I mean, well, look, uh, you gotta it's it's unfortunate.
You can only you can only squeeze that for as
long as you can to get the juice or the
nectar out of it. And apparently that is that is
not the case this year. No Brownie James, But Cooper
Flag does go number one as expected, the overwhelming favorite
to go number one to the Dallas Mavericks.
Speaker 6 (02:22):
And so all is well for the Dallas.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
They had a good draft. Yeah, you know, they had
a good draft.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Makes you wonder what the hell happened in the final
four in the finals. It just makes you wonder, like
epic meltdown by the Dookies. But congratulations, And look, a
lot of people in this day and age want to
be negative, and there's a lot of people out here
who want to take pot shots at the NBA. Not
on this show to speak for yourselves. I know, I
(02:51):
definitely need this draft to be spaced out over two nights.
Speaker 6 (02:55):
Okay, Like I know there's probably some people out there.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Going, well, they're not really being two nights to finish
this NBA draft right when it's only a couple of rounds.
Let's not turn this into the NFL. You're not even closed.
I don't know about the rest of you, guys. I
definitely need a night two of the NBA Draft. After
last night that was just scintillating stuff at the NBA.
Speaker 5 (03:13):
I feel like that that's cat and I also feel
like that's a ton of sarcasm, which is fine for Thursday. Yeah,
we're over the hump, so people aren't going to take
that too seriously.
Speaker 6 (03:26):
Two nights of the NBA Draft, A bro.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
I don't even know that avid basketball like phrased out
basketball fans even need two days two nights of the NBA.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Draft, Oh, because nobody cares about some power forward who
just turned eighteen from Yugoslabia. Nobody cares. Why are we
space that Netflix? I was watching Netflix. I was not
the first time were you featured on Netflix? Because you
were featured on Netflix us to this.
Speaker 5 (04:03):
So I was watching Netflix. I admit it, And I
don't even care. Like you know how sometimes you might
feel shame about not doing something that that is considered
to be a part of what you need to do. Yeah,
I don't even like find me for not watching the
NBA Draft. I was watching the highlights on Instagram and
(04:25):
stuff like that of the guys getting drafted.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
But it's like what I don't know.
Speaker 5 (04:37):
I will say Yanick, Yanick from Penn State. He went last,
and that was that was that was pretty cool seeing
somebody from Penn State get drafted in the first round.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Went to the clips, so I.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
Did see that, and I saw Cooper flag and then
I saw how many guys went from Duke and that
was kind of you know, that was kind of the
highlight for me there. Let me ask you this, Jonas,
how much excitement did you feel or anticipation did you feel.
(05:14):
I mean, everybody knew Cooper Flagg was going to the
Mavericks the minute Luca went to.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
The LA Lakers.
Speaker 5 (05:22):
So we've had a ton of time to know that
Dallas was being compensated for letting Luca go to the
Doubt to the LA Lakers.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
We've already known that.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
Yes, so, and I saw that they were trying to
build storylines around Cooper Flag heading into the draft. But
I guess is the storyline k is Kyrie Irving coming back?
How is Anthony Davis going to you know, how is
(05:55):
that going.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
To work out health wise for him?
Speaker 5 (05:58):
Does this give Cooper Flag an opportunity to transition into
the NBA and.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Become a Day one star? I mean, does it? Does
it work out that way? Well?
Speaker 6 (06:10):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
I don't think that he steps right in and dominates
the league. But I think everybody sees the intangibles, the tools,
and his skill set and they go, that's something that
could work, and that's why he was overwhelmingly the best
prospect going into the NBA Draft.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
But it could work. What does that mean? Well, I mean,
give me, give me the level of it can work
to you? What, like, what exactly does that mean?
Speaker 1 (06:33):
The Look, they're not a bad team, he I mean,
they've got talent there. I think that he's I think
he's got the potential to be maybe a star, but
it's going to take time early on in order to
get there. Like, I don't think he walks right in
and dominates the league. I just don't see that happening.
(06:54):
But I don't know that a lot of people do.
I think they look at that and go, that's an
environment and a place where he's got veteran players, assuming
Jason Kidd's.
Speaker 6 (07:03):
Still going to be there.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
He's got, you know, a veteran coach, and that's a
place that he can shine in, a place that he
can flourish, you know, And you just wonder, I mean,
does this really soften the blow for Mavericks fans? Who
are you know, still pissed off at Nico Harrison for
trading Luca.
Speaker 6 (07:19):
I mean, I don't think.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
I just I think I think if you're a Mavericks fan,
you're like, sweet, Now it's an unknown when we had
a proven commodity that we got rid of because apparently
he was fat.
Speaker 5 (07:32):
And then they went home in the first round. Yeah,
So I just the Lakers went home with him and
Lebron James on the floor at the same time. So listen,
I think Cooper Flagg should get his fair opportunity to
be that guy. I'm just I'm curious as to how
(07:53):
strong his storyline can be going into his rookie year.
And a lot of times, you know, you don't see
young guys come in and dominate. I tell you one
guy who did do pretty well their rookie year, Lebron James. Yeah,
Lebron James did pretty good his his rookie season. And
(08:18):
I wonder. I wonder because we're in a day and
age where, you know, guys like this are stories are
so sensationalized. And I'm just curious. You know, Lebron averaged
twenty points, almost twenty one points a game, five assists,
(08:41):
five point nine assists, five point five rebounds per game.
I wonder, I wonder, is is the sensationalizing of how
we cover athletics, the politicizing of how we cover athletics,
the social aware and the social wokeness of how athletics
(09:05):
is covered anymore? I wonder will they prop Cooper flag
up in terms of the way he's he's he's covered.
Speaker 6 (09:15):
I see what's happening here.
Speaker 5 (09:17):
I mean, and and I'm not making it. He could
have been black.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (09:20):
He could have been messing. But he's it doesn't Okay,
it's an up it's an up top. It's an up
top for y'all. But but if you think about it,
like what I what for? The first thing I thought
about was Caitlyn Clark and and how you know, while
she is white, she's.
Speaker 6 (09:39):
A woman that's at you know.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
So so you're you're saying that we're taking over basketball
the NBA and w n.
Speaker 5 (09:47):
B A, Well, that could be a story. I mean
that that could be a potential storyline. Oh yeah, I mean,
you guys got some of the most elite players and
in the NBA, you have the most top about in
the w n B A. I mean, it could be
a story. You know what's interesting?
Speaker 6 (10:05):
But could you just run with this?
Speaker 1 (10:06):
Please let the headline of the clip that we post
on social media, LeVar Arrington says, white people are white. Yeah,
white people are taking over basketball.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
It's a fact, is it or is it an observation?
Speaker 6 (10:27):
You know they are white.
Speaker 5 (10:28):
You got to meet your going you got or the
storyline is fill your quota. We got rid of one
good one, we got to bring in another good one.
I mean you gotta have one. I mean I don't know.
I mean, but there is a storyline here connected to
how things are covered in America right now.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
So you're saying they needed to fill the spot on
their roster, the void left from Luca being traded with
somebody else of light complexion.
Speaker 6 (10:58):
Listen, I buy.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
I don't know how.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
Far fetched it is, even though I'm cat like I'm
joking around. But even even if I wasn't joking around,
there could be some truth to it. I will say
there's some There is some truth to the push of
trying to create a megastar in America for one, you know,
(11:22):
because that has not been the case. I mean, clearly,
you're you're looking at what the last three four years,
how many years has it been, where it's been someone
who's not an American basketball player?
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Win, MVP?
Speaker 6 (11:38):
Oh, MVP?
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (11:40):
Think about it. This year was Canada. Last year was
where where is he from?
Speaker 7 (11:46):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Where? Where where is is Joki from?
Speaker 6 (11:49):
Oh he's from uh not Lithuania? Is Lithuania?
Speaker 5 (11:54):
Makes no never mind? You you're you're over in the area,
right and it ain't America, Okay? Then and then the
year before it was who and beat Yeah, And then
the year before that, who was at giannism I Tatum.
Speaker 6 (12:09):
I believe no Tatum's ever been MVP.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Okay, so was.
Speaker 6 (12:13):
Jannis for two years.
Speaker 8 (12:14):
The last American was James Harden in twenty There you go,
how long ago was that?
Speaker 6 (12:18):
Twenty eighteen?
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Think about it.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Let me tell you something. He was dishwinning eighteen. He
was disrespected. James Harden had an MVP season. All anybody
did was bitch about the step back that he used
to score thirty plus a game. All right, So maybe
Cooper Flag brings brings us hope here with fourth of
July right.
Speaker 5 (12:37):
Around them, bro twoenty eighteen, the NBA, think about that.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
That's a long gass time.
Speaker 6 (12:47):
I believe Cooper Flagg just turned six years old back then.
Speaker 5 (12:50):
With that end, that's kind of why he's eighteen. Young boy, yeah,
young blood. I just I think Cooper Flag has come
in with the type of fanfare. He has come in
with the type of hype, and he has come in
with the type of skill that would say, this is
(13:14):
someone that we can build around. And he's American, and
I think that like a perfect storm, it's a perfect
storm for him.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
And most importantly, he's what else, He's a white American
I just think I think that's really what we've established here.
Speaker 5 (13:32):
I mean, that's what you wanted me to say, So
I said what you wanted me to say. I mean,
I can think of a lot more, you know, things
that were most important about Cooper Flag, but I knew
what you wanted, so I gave you what you wanted.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
You know what, you know what is We spent time
talking about Pablo Torre and Mike Florio breaking down the
collusion case in the NFL. We've got more in that
coming up later on if they really want to do
some digging find out whether or not it is true
that the Dallas Mavericks felt like they had to swap
out one light skin guy for another, and that's why
they took Cooper Fly hilarious, Well, because you know, Lucas
(14:12):
not a he's not American, so I don't know if
it you know, I don't know if it applies. You
know that he's he's white, but he's not American white.
So two different types. And I can say that as
somebody who's also light complexion, really light.
Speaker 6 (14:29):
By the way, did you see the AI generator?
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Did you see you know, who might have judged by
the way, did you see the AI generated photos of
Black and Drag that they put together on X Some
people have put those together.
Speaker 5 (14:45):
They do realize that you were an actual player.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
They don't need to AI anything. They could just use
you and then swap in a Dracula.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
For me as I don't have a problem a crock.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
They went to groc and just said, can you give
me generic black guy wearing eleven and a guy who
looks like Dracula?
Speaker 6 (15:07):
They made me fat and why am I taller than you?
Doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
We got to do better, like if if A is
going to step up and come up with a show
logo for Black and Drag and we at least make
it look somewhat legitimate, like something close to resembling us.
Speaker 6 (15:24):
You know, if you guys would just let me do
what I wanted to do. Yea Lorena wants a photo shoot,
I do, and it's gonna have this whole vision in
my head. It's probably the coolest thing I've seen in
my mind of you two in a minute.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
WHOA, Okay, that was crossing?
Speaker 6 (15:41):
All right? So now, but what do you all you said?
Speaker 1 (15:44):
I'm curious all you said for me, all you said
for me was all black and sunglasses.
Speaker 6 (15:53):
Yes, okay, so what are we not hurt?
Speaker 5 (15:55):
All black? Which is not hard for me. I mean
I could have came in there butt naked.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Now, but you did say that you get dressed in
the dark in the morning and you're a little disoriented.
Speaker 5 (16:04):
So yeah, and I came in with a stick city
joint that was blue.
Speaker 6 (16:09):
Jona said, not yesterday. He said he's not doing it
yesterday because he's a hard working man. This day, well,
I just got just got a lot of stuff.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
He always wears black though, just the sunglasses.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
We're an Italian. We would just take that off, just
take that.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
Yeah, but you don't like then you would see my
dumb tattoos and Dracula didn't have tattoo.
Speaker 5 (16:31):
We don't know that. We don't know that.
Speaker 6 (16:38):
Taller than you, there's no doubt.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
Well, yeah, it's got to be accurate. I mean, we
can't just take any generic.
Speaker 6 (16:44):
I might even have to squat a little bit in
front of him.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Just like, wow, that feels uh feels like an awkward,
awkward scene for doing the casting on that. But nonetheless,
congratulations to Cooper Flag and congratulations to the NBA, such
a such a great draft and Uh, so glad we
(17:07):
could have it back for another night coming up later on.
And who knows, maybe the Lakers will hit on their
number fifty five pick yet again two years in a row.
Speaker 5 (17:14):
You know, maybe that is there any other big storylines
coming out of the NBA draft?
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Let me see, now, that'll do it. And I thought,
I'll pretty much do it when it comes to that.
And now we just wait to see what other movement
we've got in the NBA when it comes to trades,
et cetera, et cetera. That that, to me is more
interesting than the actual NBA draft, which is a craft.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Shoot.
Speaker 6 (17:41):
If we're being honest, it's a bunch of.
Speaker 5 (17:42):
Lot There's no there's no this year's Brownie James the
Stills up still of the draft, still of the second round.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
I mean that drove round two?
Speaker 5 (17:52):
Well mean, you know, the last two drafts, the NBA Draft,
this year's NFL Draft have been driven by late round
draft picked stories and famous people and sons.
Speaker 6 (18:03):
Yes, I mean, look, are there.
Speaker 5 (18:05):
Any famous basketball players sons in this year's draft.
Speaker 6 (18:10):
I'll have to do a deep dive on that.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
I would say this with the Lakers having the number
fifty five pick again we saw what that turned into
last year. Who knows, maybe they'll do something wild again
this year and maybe they'll maybe there's somebody else who
can get Does Rob Polinka have a nephew of potentially
getting drafted? Rob Polinka, by the way, played on the
bus Family.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
You know.
Speaker 6 (18:32):
Oh, it feels like they're uh.
Speaker 5 (18:35):
They want I mean, they're getting up at it are
But I'm just saying if you had a bust and
that would be interesting.
Speaker 6 (18:40):
It feels like, oh, that.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
Would be interesting news, just like.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Things are winding down for everybody hanging there. But it
is two pros and a cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 6 (18:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
No, they're getting paid, which, by the way, you know,
whats So the Lakers went for ten billion, Steve Bomber
bought the Clippers for four billion, And I think Lee,
if I have this correct, I think Bomber bought the
Clippers in twenty fourteen. I believe, so, ten years later,
same city, same sport.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
I know it's a different team, different team, but damn,
that's a big butt but juicy but.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
But it also points to Steve Bomber. We're going to
look back on that deal and go kind of a
bargain based on that asking.
Speaker 6 (19:29):
No, yeah, you think it's going to go down value.
Speaker 5 (19:32):
They're not going to go down in value, but they're
definitely not going to be valued anywhere remotely close to
the LA Lakers.
Speaker 6 (19:40):
It's pretty disrespectful.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
We've got like the same market, but it doesn't matter
unless they start winning. And it would take a really,
really long time to build up the Clippers the Clippers
value to the level. I don't think it could ever happen,
to be honest, damn. I don't think there's an enough
time for them to build up to the level that
(20:03):
the Lakers are in value.
Speaker 6 (20:04):
No, I mean, that's probably never going to happen.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
But I do think that, you know, four billion dollars
we're going to look back on. Yeah, I mean it's
something to sneeze at, but that we're going to look
back and go, that's that's a you know, pretty solid
deal for Steve Bomber. The endtwo A dome reportedly is
h is phenomenal. I'm not sure how I feel about
the facial id stuff. When you walk into the place,
(20:27):
you know, and you have to pull out a card,
they just recognize your face and that's how you pay
for stuff that feels a little intrusive, but hey, you know,
they're doing their thing, trying to uh their thing, make
their own.
Speaker 6 (20:37):
Mark in southern California.
Speaker 1 (20:39):

the bad times are gone.
Speaker 6 (21:11):
The bad times are over.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
It's good times ahead and they better be or else
He's going to be looked at a lot differently, very
very soon. We'll get into that for you right here

dope album. It's a really good song. Do you know
who sang the original?
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Yeah? Of course, who.
Speaker 6 (22:40):
Oh my gosh. The sample that they use that one guy,
come on, slipknot.
Speaker 5 (22:49):
Huh what they're using is Luther Van But I believe
the original.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
It is. It's it's Sheri Lennon and Luther Van Dross.
Speaker 8 (23:05):
I believe well, well, going to be Marvin Gay and uh,
Tammy Terrell, was it?
Speaker 6 (23:13):
I see that as if this world were mind? But
this song is called Luther So.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
But maybe the original was. I don't recall it being
sung by Marvin Gay. But huh, that's interesting. Let's see
what we can find it.

buying should be. So I go yesterday, by the way,
it's fun. It's always fun. Yeah, those guys are good
guys over there, and so good seeing everybody at the Blowtorch.
And do it again later today, time permitting, because it
is a day game for the Dodgers, So it just
depends on you know, how late that game goes. And
(25:19):
then we figured it out from there. But then you
won't do it again, do it all over again. Good
people over.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
There, there you go. That's nice.
Speaker 6 (25:29):
Now, speaking of.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Fanatical and fans, there's a lot of fans of Petros.
There's a lot of fans of the New England Patriots.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
What a great setup. Yeah, and there's a.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
Lot of fans who apparently are going to be pretty
pleased with what Robert Kraft is about to say, the
owner of the New England Patriots, who spoke at Fanatics
Fest and spoke about the past, the present, and the
future for the New England Patriots.
Speaker 10 (25:58):
The last two years were the worst years of my
thirty one years of ownership.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
We had to change that.
Speaker 10 (26:07):
We have a new coach and Mike Vrabel, who was
really connected with the players, who's.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Doing great work.
Speaker 10 (26:14):
We have a young quarterback and a lot of great veterans,
free agent veterans who came in a great draft class.
We're gonna have fun this year, I promise.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
I mean, first of all, I want some of whatever
it is he got at that moment, first off. Second
of all, Second of all, By the way, LeVar.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
So is it the last two years? Isn't it? Gerardmeo
and Bill Belichick?
Speaker 1 (26:47):
By the way, LeVar tried to claim that that was
Harry Carey and it was very close, which I thought
was disrespectful to both.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
That was very close.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Bro.
Speaker 6 (26:55):
We're being honest here.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
Hey, bro, he helt no punches worse two years.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Of my life Okay, here's you know the part about
this that I find kind of funny.
Speaker 6 (27:11):
That's your fault, robber Craft, that's on you. That's nobody
else's fault.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
And the reason why I think he feels the heat
and feels the pressure is because if this doesn't work again,
who can we point to other than robber Craft, Because
you could blame Belichick for the final year. It was
a disaster and all that, and it was remnants of
them moving on from Tom Brady, even though they went
(27:37):
to the playoffs with Mac jokes like he blamed Belichick.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
All you want.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Belichick was the fall guy. Okay, we finally have the
guy that we want. We push out Bill Belichick for
all intents and purposes. He was fired. We bring in
Jirawd Mayo, and it was a diaper fire, awful from
the get go. So he got desperate. They went out
to hire Mike Rabel, who's a great coach and every
but he's rave reviews so far his time in New
(28:02):
England and what he's done with the culture there. But
Robert Craft's talking about how miserable the last two years.
That's his fault, that's his doing, and I think he
knows if this doesn't work, where else does he have
to point a finger at? Because at some point he's
going to be held responsible and he's got to be
the guy that everybody looks at and goes, well.
Speaker 6 (28:22):
Maybe it's his decision making.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Maybe it's not just Belichick, Maybe it's Robert Kraft who
we should look at and go, I mean, is he
doing his part to make sure that this franchise is
back on track and they're trying to build a winner?
Speaker 5 (28:34):
There is this turning into a Jerry Jones scenario. That's
what it says to me. You found magic lightning in
a bottle, captured the tiger by the tail with Jerry
Jimmy Johnson. Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones were a winning
(28:58):
combo for whatever reason, who knows the reason, and then
something happened. It didn't feel as though there was even
credit given to the success. And Jerry Jones has been
(29:19):
chasing building his own successful Super Bowl winning team ever since,
even though he got one with Barry Switzer, because many
debated that Barry Switzer's team was the team that Jim
Johnson put together. So when I look at this, this
(29:42):
whole scenario now and where the New England Patriots are currently.
It just makes me feel like with all of the
things we've heard through the years that have been you know,
discussed or put out there about the relationship dynamics, the
three way relationship dynamics, the trinity in New England of Craft,
(30:09):
Belichick and Brady, where he is currently right now, it
has the feeling that he has to find in his
own mind. He has to find a level of success
that can free him from the idea that it wasn't
(30:32):
him that should get the credit for being one of
the greatest runs in all of sports ever in the
history of sports. He needs to put it to rest
in his mind that he is the type of owner
that can create that type of success again. And it
(30:53):
doesn't have to be with Bill Belichick. And I think
that's the biggest thing with him.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
And it's no coincidence that they've spent the amount of
money they did in the offseason. I believe they spent
more than any other team in free agency. He went out,
they got aggressive, had to have Mike Rabel, that was
the guy that he wanted. I one hundred percent by that.
I do think he feels pressure. I think he feels
like I've got to do my part to justify I
(31:22):
don't want to say existence in this whole foundation of
a dynasty that we created, but facts are facts. If
there is the Holy Trinity, and Belichick's gone and Brady's gone,
and all of a sudden, this franchise is a shell
of themselves, who's left and it's him, And so I
one hundred percent by that that there's maybe a little
(31:44):
element of Jerry Jones. And also, it's been kind of
a rocky year or so for Robert Kraft year plus
considering everybody started was very critical about the you know,
the documentary that came out in which you know, it
was his production company, but you had people taking shots
(32:05):
at Bill Belichick or you know, really thanking him for
his part in the success of the organization. It was
really kind of painted as Belichick was the bad guy,
and Robert Kraft got a lot of heat for it,
and players ex players spoke up in defense of Bill
Belichick afterwards, and so.
Speaker 6 (32:21):
He went on a little bit of an apology tour.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
They had the Tom Brady roast and they're doing like
a shot of whiskey on stage and all that stuff.
It's not been a great year or so for Robert Kraft,
and I just think he looks at this and goes,
I got to turn this thing around asap. And also
not in the Hall of Fame yet, which is kind
of strange considering Jerry Jones is in the Hall of
(32:43):
Fame and those two reportedly have some little rivalry, some
little beef. Robert Kraft's got six Super Bowls as an owner.
He's not in the Hall of Fame. And I don't
know if it's because, you know, he went to the
Grab Lab in Jupiter, Florida that one time. But it's
not like Jerry. He owns has got this squeaky clean
reputation off the field. It's just been a really awkward,
(33:07):
uncomfortable and rocky year plus or a couple of years
for Robert Craft. And I do buy into that that
he looks at this and goes, I've got to prove
my worth here and show that I can get this
franchise back on track because the other two guys aren't
here anymore.
Speaker 5 (33:22):
It's a great point, but I still think it's just
ego driven, and when you're as successful as Robert Craft
has been in business and in life, it's it's something
that it's there. It's always what's next, and he's going
to get into the Hall of Fame. I mean, it's
(33:42):
that's a If he doesn't get in a hall of fame,
then that's a that's one of those things where.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
You say, well, how do you value.
Speaker 5 (33:50):
A hall of fame that doesn't have you know, craft
in in in.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
The hall of fame?
Speaker 5 (33:56):
So that that to me, that will take care of
itself eventually. To me, the bigger issue here for Robert
Kraft is that I believe he fights. He fights demons
as it applies to Bill Belichick, like he fight, he's
(34:18):
fighting them like he I think that there's something about
the way it all went down, in the way it
all unfolded that didn't sit well with him, and whatever
that bad taste that was left in his mouth, it's
like he's on a mission to to rid himself of
that feeling.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
And it's it's.
Speaker 5 (34:40):
Going to be interesting to see how that unfolds because
we have watched it torment Jerry Jones to so many
people's chagrin, to so many people's entertainment, to to cowboys
fans disappointment.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
We have watched Jerry.
Speaker 5 (34:59):
Jones live in not being able to find the magic again,
and how do you something that happens once in a lifetime.
The run that the Dallas Cowboys went on with the
Big Three was something that was phenomenal. A Michael Irving
(35:22):
doesn't come along every year, with a Troy Aikman that,
by the way, doesn't come along every year, by the way, EMMITTT.
Smith that doesn't come by every single year.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
And in New England.
Speaker 5 (35:41):
A quarterback in Tom Brady that never comes along ever
in any years other than my Draft two thousand. That's it.
You've only had one Tom Brady.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
That's it.
Speaker 5 (35:56):
So if you're chasing that unicorn and that's going to
make you feel whole, it's going to make you feel better,
good luck with that, man.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
It's not good luck with that.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
And also he's brought this up before Robert Kraft has
where he's you know, when Belichick made the decision to
want to move on from Brady, and Robert Kraft sort
of regrets not sticking up and speaking his mind because
he didn't like the idea of that. Okay, well, why
didn't you do anything then? Like you didn't know, you
didn't think in real time? Oh, look what we've got here?
(36:32):
Like maybe there is a little bit more left in
the tank. Maybe this pairing doesn't work anymore. Maybe I've
got to move on from the coach and maybe I've
got to stick with the quarterback. It just there's a
lot of things that have happened that it's on him
and if he is, to your point, chasing that ghost, dude,
it's not happening, and it's.
Speaker 5 (36:50):
A ghost for a reason. Yeah, it ain't here.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
It is. Be happy, man, Be happy with where you are.
Speaker 5 (36:58):
Yeah, be happy with where you are and whatever you
do from here, it's a bonus like.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Ours off my entire life. Like, why, bro, look at
your bank account.
Speaker 5 (37:18):
Player, you got a dope as I think it's his
wife now is his girlfriend?
Speaker 2 (37:25):
I mean he's good to go. I mean.
Speaker 5 (37:29):
Clearly he clearly spares no expensive free agents in that
department either.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
If not for our day.
Speaker 6 (37:38):
He's got options. Say something he.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
I mean he is a smooth ass old man. Bruh,
go live, don't hold it.

(38:47):
he crushed it. It's a little little different, different pacing,
little different, a little different vibe to it.

Lead Lap.
Speaker 8 (39:58):
Good morning everybody, Good morning Jonas, Good morning LeVar, guys,
in case you missed it. Obviously, tough look for the
MLB the other day as the White Sox face off
against the Diamondbacks diamondback center field, where Tell Marte was
heckled by a White Sox fan, a twenty two year
old in the stands, obviously kind of taking digs at
(40:21):
his late mother, who passed away in a car accident
in the dr Very ugly look. Obviously, the White Sox
banned that fan immediately kicked him out of the stadium.
MLB took it a step further yesterday, banning him from
all MLB stadiums indefinitely.
Speaker 5 (40:36):
I mean, good for them, Yeah, but you don't have it.
Don't don't be don't be a fan terrorist. Bro, Don't
don't do that, don't you. You You don't get to
pay to go do stuff like that. Bro, Like, it's
a privilege to be able to go spectate and watch
a sport. I mean, you want to chair, chair, you
don't want to chair, don't chair. You want to hackle, heckle,
(40:58):
you can hackle all you want. But bro, like there's
some things like if that man would have been able
to get to him and beat his ass, he gets
in trouble, Like you can't say like stuff like that man,
But like there's should there should be a limit ahead.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
But well no, I'm just saying, if you're if you're
gonna punish somebody, is not letting him go see the
White Sox really a punishment.
Speaker 2 (41:20):
Dang, dang, I.
Speaker 5 (41:23):
Thought you was about to stick up for the dude.
Heck ofing him. Oh you did him, You did him
a favor, so he got what you're saying. That's cold
blooded well, there you go, white sox
