Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the best of two pros and a couple Joe
with Labar Aarings, Rady Winn and Jonas Knox on Box Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Now, you mentioned Ole Miss earlier. So there is a
story that we discussed about the ultimatum that was put
out there. Reportedly, there was this ultimatum they told Lane Kiffin,
did old miss Brass, Hey, you got to the egg bowl,
make a decision. We want to know whether or not
you're going to be here, whether or not you're going
(00:33):
to take some job elsewhere. So Lane Kiffin was on
the Pat McAfee show yesterday starring AJ Hawk, and he
addressed the rumors that there was an ultimatum put on
him by Ole Miss.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
That's absolutely not true. There's been no ultimating anything like
that at all. And so I don't know where that
came from. Like a lot of stuff that comes out there.
Like I said, man, we're having a blast. I love
it here.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
So yes, hold on, hold on, Yeah, we cut that short.
He had the running back Lacy in the room with him.
He 'ks like a running backs fight here with me.
He calls me, He's like, come on over. He calls
him over into the shot and they're like both sitting
there kind of talking and hang out. He must have
been just meeting with him, so it was kind of
a wild scenario, just you know what exactly he had
(01:19):
going on at that.
Speaker 5 (01:20):
Point in time of the day.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
But he's he feels like a very open and honest
guy about what's happening.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
And now ESPN reported that their athletic director, Keith Carter,
has asked for a decision by this upcoming weekend, so
not the Egg Bowl weekend, which would be the following weekend,
but this upcoming weekend. So it feels like there's mixed
messages that have come out to where he's saying there
was no ultimatum, but ESPN's reporting there has been an ultimatum,
(01:46):
and it seems like they're looking for answers here as
quick as possible.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
So, well, it's not like that came out of nowhere, right.
Did somebody just like want to make up a rumor
that there is an ultimatum given or a timeline given?
Speaker 5 (01:58):
Is that how? I mean? It's not how it really works.
People don't make up stuff.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
You heard it from somewhere, and by the way, I
don't there's not a knock on old miss I can
understand their thought, like, hey man, we want to know
whether or not you're you're here for the long term
or not. I just look at it and I go, well,
this kind of sucks for the players there because they're
in contention to maybe win a national championship. They're in
the college football playoff as it stands right now, they've
(02:24):
got a game left in the regular season, they're in
their bye week, and instead you know, resting up and
getting ready for you know, the finale and to go
on and do big things, they've got to wonder whether
or not their coach is going to be around by
this weekend.
Speaker 6 (02:36):
Well think about it this way too. You know, all
these other coaches that were in demand, what happened they
were given extensions?
Speaker 7 (02:49):
Like maybe maybe my man.
Speaker 6 (02:52):
Laying Kiffin is sitting there like hey man, like yeah,
I acted like y'all.
Speaker 7 (02:58):
Want to know what I'm gonna do. I'm under track.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
Well, I think I think there's one in place, but
that wouldn't be announced until he makes a decision if
he's staying or not.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
If he stays, he'll he'll Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
I think what's interesting about this because there might be
a job or two that comes open there's some people
speculating Florida State.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
When they come open at the end of the season. Uh,
that would add to that list.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
To me, it's about is Elaine potentially being patient because
he's looking at the NFL. You know, people tend to
forget he he did have a short stint he did
with with the Raiders a time ago. It was extremely short.
He made it through one season and four games I
think the next before it was fired. And you do
have some some jobs open that I think, whether it's Tennessee,
(03:51):
whether it's the New York Giants, that there might be
some teams that are interested in and maybe giving him
another shot. He's had a lot of head coaching experiance
between the Raiders back into what two thousand and seven,
two thousand and eight that you know Tennessee granted only
for a year USC Florida Atlantic Old Miss.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
I mean, he's a.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
Different guy and maybe there's an opportunity or someone some
people are talking to him, they're you know, telling him
about what he thinks. You know, maybe there's an opportunity
to be patient and wait for some of these NFL jobs.
And he's able to do that by continually to be patient.
Let the season play itself out, you know, to your point,
(04:30):
he's got a chance to play for the College f
Wall playoffs. They're almost assuredly going to be end they
play Mississippi State next week in the eight Bowl, and
even if they don't make the SEC championship game, which
it doesn't appear they're going to, they would still get
in with their current resume. So they are going to
be a playoff team. They're gonna have a chance to
play for a national championship. There's no reason to maybe
rush this outside of if you're Old Miss, because they've
(04:53):
got to potentially go find a new head coach, and
that might have been something that didn't dawn on them,
you know, coming into the season, and now it's drastically changed.
But I do wonder how or if the NFL angle
on things is playing any role whatsoever, and him waiting,
and this isn't just about him his family and him
(05:13):
deciding between LSU Florida and Old Miss. This is more
really about him potentially looking at trying to get to
the next level. Maybe he's a coach that saying I
don't want to have to deal with the nil stuff anymore,
and all that I'd rather just go to the pros.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah, and his former quarterbacks sitting up there in New
York looking for a head coach this offseason.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
So there you go.
Speaker 6 (05:32):
I would old miss really do if they if they
self imposed, uh you know, a due date for him
to make a decision.
Speaker 7 (05:41):
What are you going to do?
Speaker 2 (05:42):
They can fire him, what are you going to do?
Speaker 7 (05:44):
Like, I'm not ready to make a decision yet.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
You're fired, okay, you know.
Speaker 7 (05:49):
What I mean? Yeah, I don't see I don't see
playing out that way.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
So even then, it's it's like it's like, you know,
you it's one of those threat that you know there's
there's nothing behind it, right. I mean it's almost like
when you're a parent and you've got kids and you
like you threaten your kid and the kid looks at you,
well yeah, but they're like they're not. It doesn't work
anymore because the problem is they know they're in a
certain place where like you can't really discipline them if
(06:16):
you want to, and they know it, so like they
kind of look at you and and Jones is going
to get there at some point. I don't know that
your son's there quite yet. Your kids will get to
an age where they become very aware of the safe
zones of where they can be, where they can be disciplined,
and where they can't.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
I mean, var tell.
Speaker 6 (06:33):
Them, oh, man, look my three two ones used to
be three two. Wouldn't even make it the one. Then
they get a little older, then it's like three.
Speaker 7 (06:48):
Two. Then they get a little older, then it's like three.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Three two. I said, too, one and a half.
Speaker 6 (07:06):
I said, I said too, you get the one. And
they were still coming now today with the last one
at ten years old. It's it's it's really just like
if if my voice inflection isn't like for real, for real,
like for some strange reason, his voice sounds like he
is really really upset, then you know she doesn't. It doesn't.
(07:33):
It doesn't work. That's the point. At some point, you know,
the whole then you get you better get over here
type type talk that it doesn't work, it doesn't work,
so ultimatums. Now it just seems like that's that's empty
calories for old miss right now, you know, because they're
they're sitting there like three.
Speaker 7 (07:55):
Three.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
By the way, I also feel like it's it's for
like relationships that aren't gonna last, like if old missus
Gamie Lane Kiff an ultimatum now, and they don't think
that this is going to come up in the future.
Speaker 7 (08:07):
It's a great point.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
That's just like if you hear a couple, you know,
you're talking to him, They're like, oh, yeah, he gave
me an ultimatum, It's like, yes, probably gonna work out.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
Like, well, let's be real. It's just that whole.
Speaker 6 (08:18):
Point, Like, can't guys just jump on top of extensions now,
like if they really wanted to. There's a coach that
a school really wanted an extension. I mean, are you
are you legally off the off the table for how long?
Like is there an extending amount of time or is
(08:39):
it come back? There's always going to be a buyout, right.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
Yeah, well correct, But if you look at the James
Franklin situation, James Franklin had to actively be searching for
another job and then technically not get it if he
was going to get the full payout from Penn State.
So that's why the settlement only end up nine million
because of what he was offered. Is now the head
coach of Virginia Tech. So if you craft like Pat
(09:06):
crafted the contract, right, you can mitigate some of what
you're gonna be, you know, putting out there now if
you're someone like Louis.
Speaker 7 (09:16):
The contract though I think that might have been Sandy Barrow.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
Might have been before him or someone. But either way,
oh get credit for it.
Speaker 7 (09:24):
Now.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
If you look at Louisiana a different story. You know,
Brian Kelly's coming for all fifty four million, every single dollar,
and I'm not sure if he's gonna get hired or not.
I think I think, I do think Brian Kelly is
a good coach. I know it did not work out
at LSU, and maybe he had a ceiling both at
LSU and Notre Dame. But I do think he's proven
he can coach at smaller schools and be able to
(09:48):
get the most out of it. But maybe he doesn't
want to anymore, at least it sounds like it from
some of the reports of what was What do you.
Speaker 7 (09:54):
Mean him and his family is donet winning?
Speaker 4 (09:58):
Yeah, I mean a lot of things going on there,
but a lot of fine wine and golfing going on.
Speaker 1 (10:05):

our two hour show. We never get to everything, honestly,
because this guy is over promising things we never have
time for. Yeah, you blubber list lame and me.
Speaker 8 (10:42):
Well, you know what it's called over promise. You should
be good at it because you've been over promising women
for years.

Well, it's a Cavino and Rich after show, and we
want you to be a part of it. We're gonna

sure you check out over Promised and also Uncensored, by

little harder it's gonna be the best after show podcast.

There you go, over promise it. Remember you could see
it on YouTube, but definitely join us. Listen to over
Promised with Cavino and Rich on the iHeartRadio app, Apple
Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
The Aaron Rodgers situation is this, they don't know whether
or not he's going to be able to play this
weekend against the team he's part owner of the Bears. Uh,
He's got a fracture in his left wrist. Mike Tomlin
calls it a functional thing. You know, it's about seeing
how functional he can be with it. But there's going
(11:43):
to be no surgery. They're probably going to try and
brace it up and we will see. They should know
sometime later this week whether or not he's going to
give it, give it a go this Sunday.
Speaker 7 (11:54):
But this week, I mean it is Wednesday.
Speaker 6 (11:56):
Yeah, Like if you don't generally, if you don't know
by today, like by today's end, you gotta I mean,
you got to make sure you're preparing the person that's
going to play. You know, I would assume that they
got to figure out what that assumption is most likely,
(12:16):
Like today Thursday. You super late. You're super late. If
he's a late scratch. You know, if you come to
the conclusion on Friday that hell, if you come to
the conclusion on Sunday that he isn't going to play,
you had better have been preparing. Whoever the backup is
(12:38):
going to be to play the game.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Well yeah, I mean they probably do know, but they're
not gonna publicly state anything. They're going to try and
keep the Bears guessing, which you know.
Speaker 7 (12:50):
I mean, the Bears all of a sudden are a
team that you have to be concerned about.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
That's crazy, don't think so A lot of Look, I mean,
what happened to.
Speaker 5 (13:05):
Minnisod this is your reverse psychology.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
It's not reverse psychology.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
It is.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
If you watch the games like a lot of these
results should have gone the other way. I mean, give
them credit. The old Bears teams would have figured out
way to lose these games. But they're figuring out ways
to win uh close games somehow someway, and they're sitting
atop the division. But I can't imagine what the schedule
coming up, this is going to continue on.
Speaker 6 (13:30):
Nonetheless, even what you're reasoning, it does seem to be
a team that you should be concerned with. I mean,
just as what it is, Jonah, So take it and
enjoy it while you have it. You know, he knows
how long it'll last.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Well, we talked about this that if you were going
to try and buy him some time and rest him
with this injury, this would be the game that would
make the most.
Speaker 7 (13:52):
Sense because all of a sudden.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Well, no, because it's it's an NFC opponent, it's not
going to factor into afe seating or standings or tiebreakers.
Why not just save him for a week and get
him back the following week and then you've had a
division game after that, you know, in two weeks like
that seems like it would make more sense as opposed
to rush him out there, and God forbid, something further happens,
(14:17):
and then you're gonna have to go with Mason Rudolph
in a couple of AFC games, which could be factoring
big to the playoff seating.
Speaker 7 (14:24):
And they got a.
Speaker 6 (14:25):
Rough stretch after I mean, you could consider the Beers
a rough stretch now considering how they're playing. They got
the Bills and they have the Ravens. The Dolphins have
been feisty, They have been fighting. They don't have the
easiest of schedule, you know, in terms of the rest
of the way. But I could see where you would say, Okay,
(14:47):
we got the Bills and then we definitely have a
tilt with the Ravens and that could be a very
very you know, obviously a lot riding on that game.
Speaker 7 (14:57):
So but you know, I don't know. He has owned the.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
Bears, he has been largely in part adorable quarterback. I
think there's so much riding on this for him. If
he can go, he's going to go. I don't see
him being rested just because of the risk. I think
we'll know if he can do it or if he
can't do it, it'll most likely probably be reported on
(15:26):
more so today. If not, then again they better be
preparing who's going to you know, play in his place,
and then concentrate on making sure they get him healthy
for that those next two games.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
Yeah, it's interesting.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
I would consider in Rogers durable too, right, all the
stuff he's played through there there have been no seasons though,
I mean the Jets obviously, the torn Achilles. You know,
he missed some times back in like twenty seventeen, he
missed a big chunk of that season before that, Yeah,
there's been spots where like he's missed a good chunk
(16:05):
of time for some injuries. I don't think this is that.
But look, this one will come down to a few things.
Every single player when they have an injury that doesn't
need immediate surgery, like there might be something he's needed
down the road, but in this case, it's just about
the healing process of the bones. You know, there's a
(16:26):
couple of things. It's pain tolerance and you know, can
you make it worse? Like are you willing to play
with an injury that could potentially get worse depending on
what you do to it? And you've got to make
that decision of you know, how do you want to
handle the pain?
Speaker 5 (16:43):
All right?
Speaker 4 (16:44):
As LeVar has pointed out, there is a nectar of
the gods, is there not LeVar? So there's ways of
getting yourself out of that pain, but maybe it's not
great for your body. And the other thing is like,
are you okay with a potential chance of making something
worse and not knowing what the long term IMPACT's going
(17:06):
to be on your health and wellness? You know, that's
those are things that like I think most players in
the moment they usually sign up for it. Shoot me up,
let me go play. I'll deal with the consequences later.
But you know, being someone after the fact, you kind
of go all right, you know, maybe he's old enough
now too, at forty two years old, you know, years
(17:28):
of age where he understands, you know what this means
long term for him, based on how his body feels
now from all the where and tear it's taken in
the early parts of his career some of those other
years I mentioned, So all those things are taken into consideration.
But I do think if you're Pittsburgh, it's really about
you win in the division, So forget conference games and
(17:50):
all that, just win your division, man, And that's I
would think the amount of time they'd want him to
stay out to be able to heal a little bit.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
How often do they test for weed during the regular
season in.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
The NFL, Well, they don't unless you're in the program.
So typically for street drugs or something like weed, there's
two tests. There's a window in the spring and there
was a window around training camp and once you have
your annual test, which, by the way, the threshold for
that has been increased to the point where it'd be
(18:27):
really you know, it might be tough for some guys
even to test positive. But I digress. You take that
test at some point, and by the way, if you
don't get it in the spring, you know what's coming
in training camp. So for guys who are habitual smokers
like that, when they get popped, it's the dumbest thing
in the world because they're essentially saying, well, they know
(18:49):
what's coming, and like, I can't sacrifice for three weeks
not doing it to get through my test, so then
I can the rest of the season. Like I always
would look at players who got pop for that and
thought to myself, I don't know if I can throw
them the ball. I don't know if I can trust them,
because if they can't make this sort of decision, that's
going to impact another eleven months of their life. Like
(19:10):
I don't it just they're not a very smart player.
But that's roughly the the protocol for the testing on it.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
So here's why I ask Aaron Rodgers is a guy
who likes alternative methods to dealing with pain. Okay, well,
I mean he's the same guy. He doesn't He doesn't
use air pod pro or the the AirPods because he
doesn't like he feels like the five G or whatever
you know is bad for your brain.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
It's the bluetooth. That's nothing to do with five G.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Well like the air pods he likes the ones.
Speaker 5 (19:46):
Yes, it does nothing to do with five G.
Speaker 4 (19:48):
I has to deal with the bluetooth technology and the
the radio frequencies, all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Whatever it is. He's got beliefs. I'm wondering gesis if
he looks at it and goes, If he looks at
it and goes, you know what, I don't want to
take the tour at all. You know, I'm not interested
in the Nectar of the Gods.
Speaker 7 (20:08):
I'm gonna deal hypocritical, Okay.
Speaker 6 (20:10):
Hypocritical because he has used, he has used you know,
forms of you know stuff.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
But he's learned. Maybe he does. Maybe he doesn't want
to deal with the aftermath. And so I'm just wondering,
is there enough only.
Speaker 7 (20:27):
After aftermath from the Nectar of the Gods?
Speaker 6 (20:30):
Is you could use another one when you come down
off of it like that?
Speaker 2 (20:40):
This is why I ask you, guys are poteads, So
how would you smoke? Recommend?
Speaker 7 (20:46):
Never never?
Speaker 6 (20:47):
I never popped. I never popped when I smoked like before.
I know, I mean, it's it's always been my business.
But if you know me, you know I'm a rosta man.
I don't you know, but I never how I conduct myself,
how I handle things, you know, it is certainly I don't.
Speaker 7 (21:10):
I don't have to have it.
Speaker 6 (21:12):
So what I will say that like if it's in
the if you got something that's an addiction, then then
you got to pay attention to it. But if you
have something that is a part, is no different than
if I were to sit down and smoke a cigar,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
So well, I guess what I'm trying to ask, and
I'll ask it in the way that Brady would ask it.
In the words of Brady Quinn. Oh god, how much
hippie lettuce would you put on that salad? If you
were Aaron Rodgers getting ready for this game.
Speaker 5 (21:38):
I would never use such a dorky phrase like.
Speaker 7 (21:40):
That, hippie hippie lettuce.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
Yeah, I mean you used to call it the green wolf, remember,
like that was actually fun.
Speaker 7 (21:48):
That sounds pretty good.
Speaker 5 (21:50):
Hit way better, Yeah, hit way better.
Speaker 7 (21:53):
It's corny. That's the old old school term.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
Yeah, so maybe it's not. Maybe it's not the Nectar
of the Gods.
Speaker 6 (21:59):
You know he's it's not going to be the same.
One thing I will tell you is it's not the same.
The Nectar of the Gods is from the gods for
a reason. You're not going to supplement that with something else.
Believe you me. If he plays, there's a very very
(22:20):
strong possibility that that Nectar of the Gods played a
part in why he's going to play this weekend.
Speaker 7 (22:28):
That just is what it is, and there's nothing wrong
with that.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
So would you play if you were the Steelers looking
at the schedule, would you play? Because the Ravens have
the Jets, so that's a win for Baltimore, so it's
going to get real close. And then after the Bears,
you've got Buffalo, You've got Baltimore. It feels like the
one in a couple of weeks is really going to
(22:53):
factor in big to what the division looks like. But
if you are the Steelers, would you put him out
there risky injury? Knowing listen, this could turn into a
bigger issue and we've got bigger games coming up after
this one that would mean more.
Speaker 7 (23:08):
If he can play, he should play.
Speaker 6 (23:10):
If it's if he's in, Like, if he's in some
type of condition where like Q said, he can make
it worse, then you don't play them. But if he
can play, then if it's not as serious as as
it may seem to be, then you ask him if
(23:31):
he can go. Like you, you know, he's he's a
super vet, so he's been around long enough where the
respect factor of asking him how does he feel can
he go? Being based off of what his pain tolerance
level would be would be the bigger question here. So
if but if he can go and he's willing to go,
(23:53):
which I would.
Speaker 7 (23:54):
Believe he's poised to go.
Speaker 6 (23:56):
Start defiicient finish, go coast to coast on this season,
they just got a big win against the divisional opponent,
and that was off of the heels of a disappointing
showing against the.
Speaker 7 (24:11):
Chargers.
Speaker 6 (24:12):
So I would say he's again he's so close to
putting himself in a position to have legitimized why he
has continued to play. It didn't play out that way
in New York. I think that made it even more
of a deal, and I think he's aware of that.
(24:34):
So I think he's in it to win it. I
don't think he sits out if he can play, that
just furthers the storyline of what we'll say about him
when he's done playing the game that he pushed through
you know, times like these, even as an old hit.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Yeah, but do you think that's really going to be
a storyline after it's done, Like, hey man, he sat
up there.
Speaker 6 (24:54):
When you're as gifted as as Aaron Rodgers is everything
that happens in and certain parts of your career are
going to be highlighted, So you might as well just
keep putting on you know, putting good things on your
resume as you go, Like, yeah, of course they'll talk
about that.
Speaker 7 (25:11):
He'll be one of the most talked.
Speaker 6 (25:12):
About quarterbacks once he's done playing, hitting up to his
candidacy into the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 7 (25:18):
Yeah, of course you do. Why not. That's what a
legacy is, your memories, you.
Speaker 6 (25:22):
Know, the things you left behind. He pushed through, he persevered.
You know, he made it work in Pittsburgh. It's just
supposed to be a one year experiment coming off of
a very disappointing showing in New York. So he can
right a lot of wrongs by doing, you know, little
things like going out there with a jacked up wrist
(25:43):
and playing and playing well, you know that's what I
would assume.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Well, we'll see what happens, but we'll keep you posting
if the Steelers dropping it.
Speaker 6 (25:54):
Why you're so dismissive because they playing the beer? Yeah,
I just I think you want him to miss the
game to have more of a chance to win.
Speaker 7 (26:01):
Is that what it is now? But the underlying reason
for all it.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
Is because I'll be honest, man, like, I mean, you
didn't attack the man.
Speaker 7 (26:08):
You made it seem like I haven't attacked anything.
Speaker 6 (26:10):
You didn't made him seem like he's a weed hit Like,
what what were you? What you got going on?
Speaker 2 (26:15):
I was featured in his Netflix documentary. You were so like,
there's no attacking going on here, all right? And you
would know that as a Netflix star yourself, like you
would know that, you know this is how this stuff works.
I mean even Dean Blandino was watching Selling Sunset.
Speaker 7 (26:30):
You know, Q is that not ten dollars?
Speaker 4 (26:33):
Ten dollars for you can't find him for everything he says.
I mean, the guy is, you know, try to do
a radio show.
Speaker 6 (26:40):
I am caning my heir to the passive aggressive if
of what he does that was ten dollars. But I mean,
like you said, you could call it. You could call
a penalty every place, so.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
Exactly, so I'm gonna let this one. I'm what the slide.
Speaker 4 (26:54):
He's in a bit of a you know, frisky mood today.
Speaker 7 (26:59):
That was give it's host player whatever. By the way,
you got a good judge.
Speaker 5 (27:04):
Today, bruh.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
By the way, they I just don't want to hear
him bitch anymore about the fine system. I mean, that's
how cheap Jonas is that he can't pay a thirty
five dollars fine that literally just goes to a dinner
we're all having together.
Speaker 7 (27:16):
That's crazy, bro.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
I'd rather just do it with the goodness of my heart,
like I don't need to be fined.
Speaker 5 (27:21):
Well, you won't do that because you're too damn cheap.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
Well no, but because here's here's the three then.
Speaker 5 (27:25):
Think about it.
Speaker 4 (27:25):
By the way, think about this way all right, Not
to kick a guy when he's down, but the dinner
will be exponentially cheaper because Lee's not there drinking.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
Oh geez, I'm just saying.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn LeVar Errington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
There are some good.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Things that happen, and there's some bad and then there's
some downright ugly things. It's time for good, bad and.
Speaker 7 (27:58):
Ugly all right?
Speaker 2 (27:59):
Justin Cooper, who's out? What this week? All right? Brady?
This week we're starting off with you with the good.
Speaker 5 (28:05):
Oh yeah, you know it was good last night.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
Maction.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
That's right, baby, Although Ohio University did not cover that
rather large spread versus UMass, who is making their way
towards a completely defeated winless season. The Bobcats won forty
two to fourteen last night. But how about Akron and
Bowling Green?
Speaker 2 (28:26):
I watch that all right?
Speaker 5 (28:28):
Yeah you did? You know why?
Speaker 4 (28:29):
Because you want to see Ben Finley and Drew Pine
score off two six year quarterbacks. Seven schools between the
two of them. Finley started his career at NC State,
then went to cal now Akron. Drew Pine was remembered
for his time at Notre Dame, made his way to Missoo,
(28:50):
Arizona State, now Bowling Green.
Speaker 5 (28:53):
Akron got the best of them.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
Eddie George's Boying Green was laying I think two and
a half and Akron pulled out the three point five victory.
So a lot of good maction last night. That's what
was good. In the word of sports.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Jonas, what you got for the bad? The bad is
looking ahead to this Sunday, and ladies and gentlemen, I
present to you the Browns and the Raiders from Las Vegas,
a combined four and sixteen record between both awful teams
and bad franchises. So for anybody that's got a ticket
or anybody that's out in Vegas, why don't you just
(29:26):
skip that whole thing altogether, stay in Mandalay Bay and
gamble your ass off because it's better than what you're
going to watch this Sunday. Well, that leaves LaVar with
the ugly.
Speaker 6 (29:37):
I'm feeling like I want to go with Steven A
not being on the NBA show. I don't know, I
haven't seen the details of it all yet, but I
just feel like, if he's not on the ESPN NBA show,
will they still show him walking into the arena?
Speaker 7 (29:54):
And for that, I feel like that's ugly.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
Man. That's a great point.
Speaker 6 (29:58):
Yeah, I'll miss that.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
I didn't even know he's not on.
Speaker 6 (30:02):
Really, Yeah, it's like a new look NBA show and
he's he's noticeably absent and.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
He's out He's not there.
Speaker 7 (30:09):
Yeah, he's out there.
Speaker 2 (30:11):

Over there, Lali Ray, what we got?
Speaker 10 (30:35):
Oh, we got a fridge full of yumminis today controversial
yummanis if I let's say, uh, I don't know if
you guys watched the game in Madrid over the weekend.
The National Anthem outfit, though, is causing a crisis.
Speaker 2 (30:48):
Yes. Uh.
Speaker 10 (30:48):
The singer wore a black mini dress with a deep neckline,
thy high stockings, garters which are the things that connect
your dress to your stockings, stilettos, and all black.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
She is receiving heavy backlash.
Speaker 7 (31:03):
From NFL faner dress or is it like your like
you know, I.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
Thought you were describing Marilyn Manson.
Speaker 10 (31:11):
Yeah, it's it's a lot and she's people are comparing
her outfit to a hooker and a cabaret dancer.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
What's that?
Speaker 6 (31:20):
That's kind of the representation, right, I mean that's what's
in can't get the sad when you want to be upset,
you chose her, she got chose.
Speaker 5 (31:32):
I mean, is this the worst thing someone's worn?
Speaker 4 (31:36):
I understand, but you're also in a different country, like
why are we taking a game to another country and
then gonna question that performs a problem with our patriot,
Like now you have a problem, then we maybe shouldn't
have a game in Madrid.
Speaker 5 (31:56):
Right now?
Speaker 7 (31:59):
They sing for that.
Speaker 5 (32:01):
I tell you that if you if you.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
Have on an Amsterdam why's the singer comes from the
red light district? You know, like, well you kind of
invited that possibility.
Speaker 10 (32:10):
She is a US performer, so born and raised here
in the United States.
Speaker 5 (32:14):
Yes, yeah, but she's trying to like integrate with the culture.
Speaker 10 (32:17):
And honestly, okay, yeah, So when I went to Guatemala
and I was watching their morning news, those girls are
a little scandalous. Yeah, they have like short crop tops
and mini skirts and he's I'm like, let me get
into that news segment.
Speaker 7 (32:31):
National anthem.
Speaker 6 (32:32):
You're not singing one of your your singles. I mean
you have a little respect for yourself and our country
and your representation of our country.
Speaker 7 (32:42):
Got darn it?
Speaker 6 (32:43):
Who dressed you to sing the national anthem?
Speaker 7 (32:48):
Like?
Speaker 6 (32:48):
Whos like you put this on? You're like, I'm going
to crutch this today?
Speaker 5 (32:52):
What else we we got?
Speaker 10 (32:54):
Well, you know, the holidays are approaching. Thanksgiving is just
next week, and La rams I saw this special story
they're kicking off their holiday giving campaign. It involves players
and staffs doing toy drives and collecting food donations youth
football clinics, and this is a great time.
Speaker 5 (33:14):
I don't care.
Speaker 10 (33:15):
Wait, but these finds mean that I'm officially invited to
San Francisco, right, because that means I get to go
to the dinner. Oh, I'm so excited. Okay, let's do it.
I'll start packing my bags now, I'm already ready.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
I think it sounds like a guy thing.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
I'm one of the guys. But no, I'm close.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
Enough, not even close.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Painted beard on. You won't even know.
Speaker 7 (33:42):
They did a movie like that. One of the guys
