Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to Later with mo Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
KFI AM six forty Live everywhere on the iHeart Radio app.
Twilt Sharp filling in for mo Kelly. This is Later
with mo Kelly with Yeah Me Twilt Sharp. I am
the producer of Later with mo Kelly, and I used
to actually host a show called soul Cal Saturday. I'm sorry,

(00:30):
sol Cal Saturday, produced by a super producer, Kayla, And
then I said, Jesus man, I need to have one day,
one day where I just sleep the whole day. I'm sorry, Kayla, I.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Must go I on my signature because I'm still so
attached to it.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
No, I love it, and I'm glad you haven't let
it go. But I'm glad also that you are having
fun with Tiffany Hobbs and how much of that. I
love that power to the ladies, and I love what
you'll do every Saturday afternoons, last evening five to seven boom.
What's the name of the.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Show Saturdays with Tiffany?

Speaker 2 (01:03):
So it is just I hear you state it, but
I didn't know if you were still looking for like
an official name. So that's going to be the name.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
That's the name.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
It sounds like you have some tea and crumpets with
it Saturdays with Tiffany.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
No, it definitely does. I like that lie. I like
the vibe. It's kind of like you're inviting them to
have a conversation with Tiffican, like coming out of a
conversation tific. Okay, I love it. I love it. I
also love letting you know what's going on in the Southland.
One of my favorite things about soul Cow Saturday was
talking about things happening in the south Land because I

(01:32):
love it here. I know there's all the warts and
all the rats, blah blah blah blah blah. I love
it here, I really really do. And I've tried living
elsewhere and it wasn't so good. It wasn't so good. Nope,
not at all. But some things that may change your perception,
put a smile on your face, make you say no, what,

(01:53):
so Cow's not that bad. We've got some major events
coming to southern California that are just going to be
out of control fun. There is this event and I've
never heard of it. I've never heard of this before,
but it's called the Big Bounce America tour. All right,
it's coming to southern California. The Big Bounce America twenty

(02:13):
twenty five Tour is the world's largest touring inflatable event.
So I guess this is like a bunch of gigantic
bouncy houses. This unique family friendly attraction, which features a
newly expanded twenty four thousand square foot bounce house where
there You Go, a nine hundred foot optical course, and more,

(02:36):
will be taking up stops in Santa Clarita and Orange County.
The first stop will be at El Corriso Community College. Oh,
I'm sorry, El Corriso Community Regional Park in Santa Clarita
on April twelfth and thirteenth, before moving to Rancho Mission
Via Hill Riding Park in San Juan Capistrano, where our

(03:01):
Tim Conway Junior will be hosting the what is it
the San Juan Coppastrana Parade, The Swallows Parade? Yes, s
Wala's Parade. Tim's gonna be out there tomorrow. Sure we
go check him out? Ding dong with you all, Go
and check Tim out? All right? Tell him, I said, hey, use,
I will be sleeping again. I need to sleep on Saturday. No, no, no, no,
I kid, I kid, I kid, So yeah, that's really

(03:25):
really cool. Look, I know there is an inherent danger
associated with bouncy houses. Kids are jumping in these things
and jumping on each other and breaking ankles and this,
that and the other. But that's on them. If your
kid isn't able to control themselves in the bouncy house,
well they may come out with something broke. But this

(03:46):
event here looks like it is going to be amazing.
I mean, they've got Octoblast, deep Sea pham Party, inflatable
submersive under the sea experiences. Look, this thing is going
to be good. Check it out and if you do,
hit me up at mister mo kelly on all platforms.

(04:07):
You can find out more information at the Big Bounce
America dot com forward slash tour dates.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
I just want to confirm adults will not be frowned
upon if they want to take no okay editions.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
A family event. No, they have bouncy houses for adults. Kids.
It's zoned out, great, it's zoned out. This thing is
going to be huge. I love it, I love it,
I love it. And the Out Loud Music Festival in
West Hollywood has just announced their lineup for the upcoming

(04:40):
out Loud concert that takes over I believe all of
Santa Monica. I believe all of Santa Monica is taken
over by out Loud Fest. It is going that. Tickets
going sell on March twenty fifth. Tickets going sell on
March twenty fifth. But out Loud takes place on May
thirty first and June first from one pm to midnight,

(05:02):
and they're going to be having Lizzo, who looks fantastic.
I'm look, a lot of people want to hate on Lizzo,
but I think what she did is fantastic. I just
think that she should not have led with this whole
big and proud thing and then went and just like
lost weight and been like I'm just playing girl, you
got to lose this weight. Well, I see where you

(05:22):
come from.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
I think that she just reinforced that you can love
yourself at any fees, bigger, smaller.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
I hope. So, I hope that is the feeling, because like, look,
I originally just got like damn that be big and this,
that and the other, and then it's like, oh, but
I'm gonna lose this weight real fast. And again, look,
I'm not hating I think she looks fantastic. I just
got the messaging, Uh, what's wrong? Because I think there's
nothing wrong with her current way and she did it

(05:49):
for health and all that. Great, you got to But
if it was all about I'm doing this because I
want to look good, well, then that just flies in
the face of the original OG messaging. That's all. That's
just by two cents. But please do not at me
Lizzle or Lizzle fans. I don't know what you are called,
or you called the zizzos, I don't know. I don't
know what lizzle fans are called. But Little knobs Ex
is going to be there. Paris Hilton. Paris Hilton, who

(06:14):
is quite possibly one of the highest paid DJs in Vegas,
believe it or not, she rules in Vegas on the turntables,
and she is going to have a set at Vegas.
I know they've been playing the life out of her
new song on our partner station, Kiss and Coast and
Real they play our music all over the place, all right,
because she's just out there like that and doing it. Honey,

(06:35):
djon I don't know what that is. But they're going
to be there, and it's going to be at the
West Hollywood Park for the annual we hold Pride weekend events. Yeah,
that is really really cool. Where can you get tickets
at though I know tickets go and sell on the
twenty fifth, but I want to be able to tell, oh, well,
wait a minute, they also have Oh no, no, no, no no,
she's not performing this year. I will say I saw

(06:57):
Doci's name, but Doci just performed in the past. Don't
you has a really good show? General admission tickets Uh.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Out Loud, Out Loud Musical, Out Loud Musicfestival dot.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Com boom, thank you super producer Kayla. That is going
down with out Loud. And for those of you who
are into d M with the on the boom boom
boom boom boom boom boom boom, there is an after

(07:30):

is an after hours EDM music festival coming to six

or baby, it's just our a Essay is taking over
six Flags Magic Mountain for thrill City. All right. This

(07:52):

glow sticks and the acid or the mushrooms or whatever
else it is that these folks do that makes them

Not only can attendees ride X two, Tatsu, Full Throttle, Viper,
the New Revolution, Ninja, and the Grand Carousel, they will
also be able to check out banging beats from the
likes of a track Birds of Mine, Colon or is

(08:35):
it Colin? I hope it's Colin because Colon is not good. Darius, DJ, Harvey, Large, Mollas,
Marcia mah B two B, Heidi Lawrence, Mia, Mrati, Parallel, Rye, Rody's,
Rondy's gonna be there, Shazima and who made Who? I
don't know if I got any of your names right

(08:56):

but I'm sure you are killing it because us. This
event is already looking like it's going to sell out.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
KFI AM six forty live everywhere all the iHeartRadio apps.
Wiler Sharp filling in for Mo Later with Mo Kelly.
And one major event that is coming to Southern California
that I would be remiss if I did not mention
is Wonder Con. Wonder Con twenty twenty five is returning

(09:58):
to Southern California in full force and that is happening
next week in March twenty eighth through the thirtieth. I
have not been to a con in forever and a day.
I just haven't. And when it hit me when I
saw the dates, I said to myself, oh man, I'm
not gonna be able to go because typically, you know,

(10:19):
I'm here Friday doing the day, and then Saturday I
was on the air of the Path Few. I was
on the air with Soul Cow Saturday, No One wants
to go to a con on Sunday. That's where the
dweeves go. No one's going to a con on Sunday.
I'm sorry, no one's going except for those like who
are just like I got a few more things to sell,
you know, But the conhing that's happening on somethody they
try to like make them better on Sunday. No disrespect

(10:42):
Wonder Con. Look, I love the Wonder ConA loves San
Diego Comic Con. I love La Comic Con. But just
Sunday it's not a hot day. That's like I got
to go. I'll go to work tomorrow. But Wonder Con
is returning, and for the first time in forever because
even before not being able to go because I was
doing sol col Saturday, COVID was the thing, all right,
COVID was a major thing.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
Now.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
I know when I say that, I've actually got my
passes and I will be going next week.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
And I know Mark Ronerds just got just a little
tight I know, just when like, oh no, I missed
going to comic cons. I haven't been to one since
before the plague started, and I used to go to
them constantly because it's fun to meet the people who
read your stuff and to sell your stuff.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
The plague starts. Now you can't go and just get
yourself a nice isolated table in artists alley and have
people come out and you can sign some of your works.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
And nobody wants to see us sitting there with a mask.
And that's you know, even before COVID hit those places,
you'd go home with con crud, that's what we call it. Yeah,
because it's so packed and everybody's breathing on each other.
Add COVID to that, you're really playing Russian Roulette with
your health. And I'm just I'm not going to do
it until this is all the way over again. Imatically,

(11:54):
that though, beyond the con crud.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
And even COVID, let's let's let's have a real conversation
real quick, all right, Nerd folks. Nerd folks are pretty
filthy Nerd folks going down the hygiene route here. Nerd
folks are some of the filthiest human beings to exist.
And I only say that because i've I've I refuse
to use the restroom at either Wondercom or Comic Com

(12:20):
because literally, it's as if someone said, hey, I got
this costume on. I gotta run and real fast. I
got to go because I need to get back in line,
and they just go And it doesn't matter where. It
can be literally right on the floor as you're walking
into the restaurant.

Speaker 5 (12:34):
Then they should work here. We don't need to go
back into those stories again. No, no, no, but no,
they're legendary.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
It's it is a thing, and I resolved myself to
just dive in again. I love it. I love the
smell of nerd in the morning, and uh, it just
it refreshed me. I love seeing people from different walks
of life dressing up, geeking out over comic fare, anime, action, this,

(13:10):
that and the other. It just I feel a next
level of brotherhood and kinship there. Wow.

Speaker 5 (13:17):
By the way, Sundays are when you go if you
want a good deal, because all the dealers don't want
to haul all their stuff home and they'll cut your break.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
You know that is true. That is very very true.
That is very very true. So I take you back.
Save up all your Monday money for Sunday for going
shopping in like the shopping pavilion. But don't save and
wait it because every single time I go, I miss
out on the con exclusives. I used to go way
way back in like the late eighties and early nineties

(13:47):
and go and just be there early crack of dawn
getting those tickets, to get those exclusives. And I had
so many of them until some blankety blank blank blank
blankety blank broken to my storage unit and stole everything.
And I still still wish nothing but the absolute worst
on them and their entire lineage. Anyone that knows them,

(14:09):
anyone that went to school with them, Let that plague
hit them. Oh yeah, the same thing happened to me.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
And whoever broke into both our storage units, their graves
should be turned into a urinal.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Yeah, absolutely by diseased moose. Diseased moose should just say
this is where I'm gonna go.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
You're starting to sound like Johnny Carson now man, diseased
moose fall in love with your shin.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
I just look, I'm looking forward to going back to
Wonder Khan and going there with press passes and kind
of walking around like ooh, press, oh take a picture
of me. Sure I don't work for a paper, but
why not I don't work for take a picture, you know.
I love doing that. I want to go and peruse
all of the new acting figures that will be coming out.

(14:57):
It's just I'm looking forward to it, and I don't
think I don't think it's too late to buy tickets.
I think you still can buy tickets to Wonder Con.
Now here's what's really gonna flip your lid. I also
as also also got my passes for San Diego Comic Con. Oh,
when is that this year? Uh? San Diego Comic Con.

(15:18):
It's in July. I think I can't remember.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
I'm gonna skip that too. I'm gonna wait till the
coast is clear. And it just sucks because you get
a real creative burst from being around your colleagues at
these things and getting blind drunk with them, of course,
but it's fun. You don't really have any FaceTime with
them because everybody's scattered all around the country. Now. It
used to be like back when we were pardon me children,

(15:41):
everybody lived in New York. Then the Internet made it
so you could live anywhere and be a comics pro.
And this is when you get to hang out and
see each other. And it's really I miss it a
great deal.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Yeah, no, no, no, Oh. Comic Con is July twenty
fourth through the twenty seventh Comic Con. I've always been
leary about going back because I swear the last time
I went, and it's it's nothing against the con. The
con is a victim of its own success. But San
die O Comic Con, I think it took it took
me a good hour and a half to walk from

(16:14):
one end of the San Diego Convention Center to the other.
All yeah, no, no, And this is when it was
early on now later on in the day. I just
I'm not doing that again. I'm not spending an hour
walking in a line that feels like four or five
traffic where it's just you're just walking the people and
people at comic Con they do not have spatial awareness, okay,

(16:38):
cause they will be right up on you, talking, breathing
right and you can't get mad. You can't be there,
like man, back up off of me. It's like, dude,
it is Comic Con. Like why are you calm down?
Bro I'd like, you know, it's like I don't want
to have to be I don't want to have to
be the com doown broke guy because I'm upset because
you're all up on me. Because that's what you do.
You get together and it's almost like like nerds moving
like a lemur, like where they're all just jammed together

(17:01):
trying to like make their way to this exit or
inchant or whatever.

Speaker 5 (17:04):
Oh, there's no social distancing at a comic con, especially
not San Diego. And if you are claustrophobic the least bit,
you don't want to go to that. Yeah, no, no, no,
it's hilarious. My brother's Listen. She says, you should not go.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Because of the measles. Like I think I'm vaccinated. Mom,
Like I think I'm vaccinated. I'm not getting the measles.
Or wait, maybe see, maybe there's something I don't know.
Maybe I need to go get vaccinated for the measles,
she says. Listen to Mark Stop It. It's KFI AM
six forty Live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Kfive AM six forty five everywhere all the iHeartRadio app.
This is Later with Mo Kelly. I am Twala Sharp
filling in for Mo and I want to go through
a few fun things that you and your family can
do this weekend. Tomorrow and Sunday, So March twenty second
and twenty third, there is the Los Angeles Folk Festival

(18:09):
happening at the belt Weather. Is that what this is?

Speaker 3 (18:12):
The belt Weather?

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (18:14):
Right there on three three three South Boylston Street in
downtown Los Angeles.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Is that where it'saying, yeah, I'm making that up. No,
it's sir, okay, all right, Well I don't know what
it is. Well, it's.

Speaker 4 (18:26):
The wildfire relief benefits. They slowed down, but this weekend
it's another chance to support the city and see some
incredible artists.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
I'm his postponed from the fall, but.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Tommy Prime will be there, Maddi Diaz and a bunch
of other people, and it's actually from It costs about
one hundred and forty dollars, but it's going to an
amazing Yes, say.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
Okay, I love that. I love that. I love it.
Tomorrow there is The Crystal Method that's at Venice West
seventeen seventeen Lincoln Boulevard, forty six dollars for in Generals.
Scott Kirkland of the Crystal Method will be performing. I
guess all of his hits, baby, not.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
The Crystal Method. That's an interesting name.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
I don't know who they are, but group, yeah, okay,
Crystal Method. I think they're like a rock group. But
it's happening, So I just want to make sure that
anyone who's down with the Crystal Method knows that you
can check them out. Paley Fest is an event that
I think is really really cool. Pailey Fest. It is
happening today through the twenty ninth at the Adobe Theater.

(19:32):
Pallee Fest is an event where you get to have
up close and personal conversations with some of television's brightest stars,
where like say the cast of Agatha all Along, they'll
be there and they'll be breaking down the episodes, what's
the store for the future and all that kind of
like giving you a behind the scenes look what's happening.

(19:53):
I know Severance is going to be doing events, hacks
and more. There's a special Ye More Girls reunion happening
at PaleyFest, and Palleyfest is great. You got to check
out Pailefest. I believe you can go on PaleyFest dot
com and for more information for tickets and things like that.
That is a great event. Paileyfest is a great event.

(20:16):
Now tomorrow from one to four pm at the Golden
Dragon Parade. You can get grandstand tickets right now for
fifty dollars. The Golden Dragon Parade happening in Chinatown Central Plaza.
That's nine fifty North Broadway, lying in dancers performing on

(20:38):
stage for the one hundred and twentieth Golden Dragon Parade.
One hundred and twenty Golden Dragon Parades, and this one
is going to be even better now. I believe that
it was supposed to have happened in January around the
Lunar New Year, but I believe you have the fires.

(21:00):
The wildfires pushed it back, so that's why it's moved.
So that is always a good time. There. What else
have we got, super producer Kayla Oh, There is an
opportunity to meditate among the monsters. There is an exhibit

(21:20):
happening at the Pace Gallery where the exhibit The Monster,
a group group exhibition curated by Robert Nava, is currently showing,
including paintings by Robert Lynch. Proceeds of this event are
happening or going to local fire relief efforts.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
But this.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Is interesting, So if you're into David Lynch and his films,
this is what this is about, all right, I know,
Mark Ronald, you know a thing or two about David Lynch.
But this event where you can meditate among the monsters,
this is your opportunity to go into this serene transcend
didn't meditation mode and honor the great works of David Lynch?

(22:05):
Did I tell you?

Speaker 5 (22:06):
David Lynch, after I interviewed him, made me go learn
to meditate with his assistant.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Are you serious? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (22:12):
He forced me. He insisted that I go meditate. He
must have felt that it would help me. Actually, he
felt that it would help anybody. He was big into TM.
You've got to go and check this out. It's free,
Mark three, nine to nine. That sounds fun. And you
had me at Paileyfest too. I've always wanted to go
to Paley Fest.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Pailey Fest is a good time. That is a great time.
I have plans tomorrow, but I definitely watch you. Oh
I'm home next week, duh. I can check out some paileyfests. Mark.
We need to set it up. Yeah you said that.
I know you don't wake up till the crack of
seven pm, but we got to set that up. Oh,
they all have coffee there, they do on Tomorrow noon

(22:48):
to four thirty. Digitization Day is happening at the Windy
Museum or wind Day w.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
E N D E wind right there in Culver City.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Boom. If your is your house full of family photos,
you're sitting there waiting to be digitized, digitized, digitized, digitized,
then this is the project that you have been waiting for.
You can head over to the Windy Windy to the
wind Museum, book yourself an appointment, and get your long

(23:19):
awaited digitization project going. They're going to host a show,
a presentation about how to get started and provide access
to copiers and scanners so you can digitize your life.
Do you know how many photos that I still have?
Old photos for my time in music radio, all these
artists that I've hung out with and cofforded with. It's

(23:41):
all hard pictures. This is something. Now, can they help
me digitize my VHS collection?

Speaker 5 (23:49):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (23:49):
That's easy. I do that all the time.

Speaker 5 (23:51):
You do? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (23:52):
Okay, So maybe I don't have to go to the
Windy to do this.

Speaker 5 (23:55):
I don't want to step on your event here, but
you can get a nap on your phone that acts
just like a scanner and.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Does what How do you how do you do anything
with the VHS tag?

Speaker 5 (24:04):
You put well, no, no, no, we're going back to
your digitizing your photos or as you would put it,
digitization dig dig digital do. Yeah, you get an app
and you just take a photo of your but what
about the shine that comes with the photo, like when
you got the flash or what not.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
I can't shadow. I can't be held responsible for the shine.
There's shadows, there's shy. This is all type of problem.
I'm sure it has features that allow you to get
rid of the stuff you don't want. Okay, okay, I
mean but we're talking about VHSS right now.

Speaker 5 (24:33):
Okay, Well I can do that too. I've done that
for I used to do that for people all the time. Well,
you just get a VHS player.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (24:39):
It comes with the RCS cables and a us B.
On the other end, you have whatever software that you
decide to use. There's tons of different software, some free,
and you can and just feed it into your computer
and you can put it in whatever format you want.
It's easier to do than people think, but it's just
kind of a hassle and they don't want to deal
with it.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
That sounds amazing. I didn't even think that that was
a real thing. I think I've heard Marshall Collier talk
about that on Tech Thursday.

Speaker 5 (25:05):
And I was like, whatever, Oh, you can't really do
that to digitize people's concert footage and things for them
all the time.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Do you know how many movies I have that are
still in VHS?

Speaker 5 (25:15):
Like I have the.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
The Indiana Jones, the first three in VHS. It's like
in a beautiful box set. I've got the Star Wars
collection and two different VHS volumes, the original ones that
weren't scared with the original ones before they were messed with. Yeah,
but the Lucas remastered, the digitally remastered ones, not the
ones where he started adding stuff. No no, no, not
the ones where they tried to have job of the

(25:39):
hut get stepped on behind. No, no, no, none of that,
Just the digitally remastered ones to make the pictures crisp
and clear and kind of make that spop. Well.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
I mean, you got to remember that those things are copyrighted.
But if you own it, nobody's going to bust down
your door like they did with what Roddy McDowell in
the seventies.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Yeah. No, look, I'm not trying to like have free
screenings of Star Wars in my backyard, and I think
not just just for me, just because I want to
maintain that in you know, VHS tapes. It's like, you know,
come on, who's got VH I have two d H
DVD VHS players. Though I have two, you should have
at least two, everybody should. I think I've got like six.
Yes see, I'm not alone.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
Ka Mark, I just want to I just want to
have one in case it's worth money. Sometimes you don't
need it, Okay, real quick? Two more event more tmre uh.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
There is a week of French language cinema Mark that
is happening at Theatre Raymond cabs what theater? What theater
cabas there's two bees.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Yeah, but it's just Cabaz.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
It's not cobabe. Nobody's gonna be able to find this stuff.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
It's right there on Pico Boulevard and West La.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Ten uh one zero three six one West Pico Boulevard
ten dollars for intro entry. Uh la la. It's French
cinema week at raymondas or uh where you can see
things like uh cue, I can't speak first, I can't

(27:14):
read this. It's a loose q jimas Jim Jim o
j Dom Juliet Delippi in Lis barberees Mary. So he
knows all. Okay, just saying Mark, this is your bag. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (27:32):
I had to retake remedial French to get my master's
degree because I humiliated the teacher and made the class
laugh at him.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
I had to take it all over again.

Speaker 5 (27:41):
And so I understand some of what you're saying, but
no reading, no listeners understanding one word of that.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
Okay. Also break time, okay, okay, okay, folks, Keys weeks
got the police in the building. It's CAMFI AM six
forty live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app where that's for
your food.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
You're listening to Later with Mo Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
KFI AM six forty Live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app
twhile it's sharp closing out the show, closing it out
for Mo. This has been Later with Mo Kelly and
I have had a ball filling in for him. Fun fun,
fun under the night sun that would be the moon. Yeah,

(28:33):
killed it had did great. We got in fact, somebody
just messaged me that they that they liked you. I
appreciate that, whoever that is. I like you too. Who
is it? What's her name? Let's maintain some anonymity on this, Okay, okay, look,
we don't want I don't want to blow them out. No,
let's not make it weird. No no, no, no, no,
look I don't want to be weird.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
Probably just his girlfriend. I don't know who else text.

Speaker 5 (28:53):
So no, it was the dude.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Oh I love it. I love it, dude. I appreciate you,
I really do, because there's that. I just have a
ball to this. To me, this is just fun, just
chopping it up, sharing thoughts. I know, I know, I
got someone mess with me last night. I think that started.
It started off saying are you insane? And I didn't

(29:15):
read the rest of it. Just the tone wasn't like
like it was gonna be a fun read. It was
like something I'm like, m delete. But you know, I
still like having those insane thoughts, so it's all good.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
I liked it. We're in the profession where nobody feels
like they have to observe like basic societal niceties to
start right off with are you insane? Yeah? I like that.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
I opened up. I was like one message or it
was someone wants to send you a message, and I'm like, okay,
this is not someone I know, but maybe someone else
listening they had something nice. So I opened it up,
Hey are you insane? Like, okay, when you start with hey,
we don't know each other, but you start with hay
and then go with into are you and then insane

(30:00):
wasn't all caps. So that's why I was like, Nah,
you're trying to yell at me. Yeah, you know you
wouldn't do that for you in my face, so you're
not gonna do it to me online. So I said myself,
all good, you listened enough to you know, prompt you
to ronto write what was I guess going to be
an insane finger pointing at something I might have said.
I don't know, I might have said something crazy yesterday.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
That's not it.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Sometimes you just got to go with it. You just
gotta go with it. Hey real quick though, before we
got out of here, I didn't want I don't want
to miss to see one event that I think is
very very special, especially to the city of Alta. Dina
mister Reading Rainbow himself LeVar Burton. You know LeVar Burden
from of course Reading Rainbow. Most importantly roots Star Trek.

(30:46):
Next generation and more. He is going to be headlining
in All Ages celebration at the Alta Dina Main Library
tomorrow from ten am to one pm. The event is
to welcome the commun unity back to the library, which
reopened on March fourth. It is amazing driving down the

(31:08):
street that the libraries on, which is Oh God, I
can't believe I'm planking them, like like this is killing me.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
Uh Morosa, Mariposa, Jesus, I got you.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
I cannot believe I'm like having a complete another brain
fart of all my city. But drive me down Mariposa.
It is amazing to see, like from what I grew
up knowing and seeing all the houses on both sides
of the street of Mariposa as you drive down, burnt
to the ground. Right at the corner of like Mariposa

(31:47):
Lake Street is like where a kind of old town
Altadena was and will be once again when it's rebuilt.
And you had like all the stores there that burned down,
the even the corner of Market and things like that,
all that burned down.

Speaker 5 (32:00):
There is.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
An apartment complex that is on Mariposa that burned to
the ground. And the only thing that's left of this
apartment complex huge building, right, A lot of people stayed there.
The only thing that's left is the sign that says
now renting. Talk about ironic it is. It is eerie,
you know. And when you go down further right next

(32:25):
to the Altadena Library, there was a senior center that
burned down, just a senior center. It's just just gone.
It is amazing, amazing that the Altadena Library is still there.
You know, Alta Dean Library. It's on on Mariposa and
I believe that Santa Rosa where Christmas Tree Lane is,

(32:48):
and it is just it's just you know, we grew
up there going to going to the library before the
internet when you start to go there and check books
out and all that, and just we would spend time there.
It's just the the going to the Altaden Library. It
is just a beauty, beautiful thing. And for someone the
likes of a Lamar Burton to come to Altadena to
bring some light to the city is in absolute joy.

(33:09):
All ages, of course, are welcome. There will be author talks,
community involvement DIY and crafting fairs, and there's gonna be
a festival with food and drink and story time, which
of course mister LeVar Burton, who is the special guest,
will be possibly. I don't want to say it for him,
but I believe he's going to do a reading. I

(33:33):
believe he's going to do a reading. He's got a
new book, The Writer Who Swallowed a Storm. I believe
he's going to do a reading. What But if you
could get there by eleven am, I think you'll be
able to check it out, and I hope you do.
Thank you so much, seriously from the center of my
heart for riding with us these past two days. I

(33:54):
will be back on Monday with mo Kelly back in
effect later with mo Kelly doing all the things that
we do so damn well. That just makes this ride
all the way worth it. Foosh, thank you, my brother
from another mother. I truly appreciate you, Mark Ronald for
holding it down and keeping me strong. You're the best producer.

(34:15):
Michelle yesterday, love you, Thank you so much for that.
And tonight, my girl, love you with the love of
gall super producer Kayla, thank you for putting it together tonight.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
Love you, mister Bear.

Speaker 5 (34:29):
