Former Olympic boardsailor Barbara Kendall has managed to maintain a solid athletic legacy.
Kendall was the first New Zealand woman to win an Olympic boardsailing medal, at Barcelona in 1992.
She followed it up with silver and bronze medals at the 1996 and 2000 Olympics - and was later inducted into the International Sailing Hall of Fame in 2007.
