National has revealed that they intend to scrap Three Waters and return water assets to direct council ownership.
National plan to establish a new water infrastructure investment regulator, which would ensure that councils are investing adequately in water infrastructure and charge appropriately for said investments.
NZ Herald political editor Claire Trevett says that National's plan is a return to the status quo with more emphasis on monitoring councils, despite Chris Luxon's earlier comments saying the current situation doesn't work.
