One Auckland-based open water swimmer will test the limits of human endurance in the coming days.
Jono Ridler has planned a record-breaking 100km open water swim, all to raise awareness around the urgent action needed to restore the Hauraki Gulf.
Swim4thegulf will take place as soon as the weather conditions are ideal, between April 25 to May 5th
Jono Ridler says he's watching and waiting for the ideal weather window to attempt this record-breaking swim.
"What I'm manifesting is less than 10 knots for the duration. I know that's very, very unlikely, but we'll take 24 hours of good weather and 12 hours of average to muck."
