Today marks one year since New Zealand saw it's first case of Covid-19 - and the country is back in lockdown.
Auckland is at Alert Level 3 and the rest of New Zealand is at Level 2 - which is set to last for at least seven days.
New Zealand's latest community case of Covid 19 declared this evening is an older sibling of a Papatoetoe High School student who was a casual plus contact.
The student has already returned three recent negative tests and is asymptomatic.
Public health officials are undertaking interviews to help establish how this new case was infected - but it has been genomically linked to the second family in the Papatoetoe High outbreak.
The 21-year-old man went to the gym after getting a Covid test, which has contributed to the need for lockdown.
Commentator Liam Hehir and Cooking the Books podcast host Frances Cook joined Francesca Rudkin on The Sunday Panel to discuss their reaction to the outbreak, whether it was necessary, and what needs to happen next.
