A young girl orphaned after the 1978 coup at Afghanistan’s Presidential palace is taken to America where she eventually becomes a successful surgeon. Years later a patient arrives who she recognises from that night, which brings memories of what happened to the surface and forces her to return to Kabul to confront them.
