Texas Land Commissioner pushes back on Biden's offshore wind farm proposal

She says nothing's been done to quell concerns since sending
a letter to Biden.

Been estimated that it could be a negative impact of
eight hundred billion dollars a year to the Houston Ship
Channel as well as it happens to be right where
every bird migrates through to the Caribbean.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
That's Don Buckingham who says that they're ignoring the environmental
impacts as well. Beyond that the cost of it could
soar into the billions.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
We feel like it is all negative, no positive. It
is much more expensive to build windmills out in the
ocean than it is on dry land.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
She says they will block transmission lines to try and
