the fact that I get to take a nice, long,
(00:25):
hot shower without these things on my leg because they
disrupt my shower flow.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
The little compression casts we'll call them.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yeah, they are. They're like compression casts, and they've like
they've I've been wearing them now for what three weeks,
and it is just a nightmare to take a shower
wearing like the cast protectors with them on. It's just cumbersome.
And today I get to take them off after the
show and go take a nice hot shower for about
(00:56):
probably forty five minutes. Don't anybody bother me. I'm looking
forward to it. I need this time and I'm looking
forward to the time. Why are you feeling good this morning?

welcome on now, No, I look, I'm gonna I've talked
about this many times. It was a very rough period
of our lives, the baby time. Some people are better
with the babies than toddlers. Not I right, not I
I mean, I know, it was just it was really
really challenging. So they're adorable, they're wonderful, But they give
(01:50):
me a little PTSD because it was a very dark
period in our lives.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
To find some joy in the y baby. Yeah, innocent.
There's just something about the look of course little babies
doing what little babies do.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
I will enjoy this baby way more than the stress
of having your own. That's the beauty of it. It's
my cousin's baby. Like, yes, course they'll take him, give
him to me, and then.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
YouTube's a thing, man. I learned how to install a

six ninety two seven forty three sixty one.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
So go ahead and tell us how did your child
accidentally cause harm?
Speaker 4 (10:48):
When my daughter was four years old, we were living
in Florida at the time, and she ran over to
a palm tree to you know, smile for a photo op,
and she stuck in a fire ant. Now, so right away,
all these fire ants when running up her legs, so
I dropped everything, picked her up, started swiping them off.
Then I got bit and it ended up. I didn't
(11:10):
realize I had a severe allergy to fire ants, and
I started going into anaphylactic shock.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Oh lord, oh damn, because your kid got into the ants.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
What'd you do? I?
Speaker 4 (11:22):
Well, it took me a while to realize what was
going on, because I've never had that happen to me before.
So I popped the benadryl, and I saw other kids
to take care of. So I waited for a our
babysitter so I could go to the er.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
And when you get to the er and you explain
what happened, what do you say?
Speaker 4 (11:38):
Well, I was helping my daughter and I ended up
getting injured myself, but she was fine.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
And from that point on, no more photos by a
tree exactly, and.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
No more living in Florida.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
We moved to DC. Right on your ants.

I was do you think you spend that much on slippers?
Perhaps maybe uggs half a billion?
Speaker 4 (13:07):
I'm actually wearing oug slippers right now.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
So you're part of the people who would spend that
total amount of money on some slippers because they're because

A new Trump administration policy will require undocumented immigrants to
register with the government or possibly face fines or imprisonment.
The plan calls for undocumented immigrants over fourteen to get
fingerprinted and create an online account with Citizenship and Immigration Services.
The US and Ukraine are reportedly in agreement on a
(14:12):
framework for a minerals deal. It's a way for Ukraine
to pay back the US for aid provided during the
war with Russia. Police are investigating a shooting that caused
an evacuation at the Waterfront metro station last night. Investigators
say a woman was hit by a stray bullet when
a group of juvenile males tried to rob someone else.
(14:34):
The Wyse High School boys basketball team in Prince George's
County has to forfeit all of its wins this season
for allegedly using an ineligible player. However, district officials say
Wise is still eligible for the state playoffs, which will
start Friday. New data from the Department of Transportation reveals
the cheapest US airport to fly out of, and its
(14:55):
Florida's Fort Lauderdale Hollywood Airport. The average outbound flight camp
two hundred and fifty two dollars. Meanwhile, Dell's Airport here
in the DC area is the priciest in the country,
where departures cost an average of four hundred and seventy
three dollars. And according to a new survey, sixty percent
of Americans say that having your partner chatting with an
(15:17):
X could potentially end a relationship. Also, forty one percent
say they would call their partner out for casually flirting
with someone, and thirty seven percent say that hiding a
password is not okay. Forecast today sunny Sky's sixty seven.
The high right now thirty four in Woodbridge.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Do you see this? There's a new study out that
says gen z would say no to a promotion why
work life balance? They would reject the promotion on the job.
What do you think about this eight sixty six, ninety two,
seven forty three sixty one talkbacks wide open too. If
you're listening on your iheartapp and you're signed in, we'll
(15:55):
talk about it and why coming up in just minutes.
Want to hear what you have to say about it too,
so feel free to jump in. Coming up, Toby and
Chilly in the morning year at ninety seven twenty one.
Speaker 6 (16:05):
Wash up then with what seems like a catch point
two question. There's a study out that says that gen
Z would say no to a promotion at work. They
would reject it in it they would reject it over
work life balance. Right, so if it compromised their work
life balance, they would see a job is just income,
(16:28):
and they would see anything that wasn't is being stressed.
That would cause some sort of upset in that balance.
Thirty nine percent of workers not interested in promotions, forty
two percent of gen Z willing to just say no
to it all together. What do you think at eight
sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one work
life balance?
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Would you say no? Now? Chiley?
Speaker 3 (16:50):
What do you think at this point in my life? Yes,
I would say no to a promotion but gen Z,
they're in their twenties, and so in my twenties, I
would say yes to all the promotions. I would say
as to all the opportunities in the career because at
that point in my life I didn't have as many
responsibilities as I do now, and so yeah, I would
say yes then and know now.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
I would still say yes because that would help me
to have a better work life balance. I think, wait, yes,
yes saying yes to a promotion, because then I would
have the money to be able to go and do
the things I want to do that would help me
to clear my head, that would help me to get away.
So many times these days, I see people that are
our colleagues getting promotions in different jobs, not just here.
(17:34):
But they're empty promotions, right. They just give them a
title and they hand them a bunch more responsibility without money.
And that's not okay to me. So if you were
willing to come to me and give me, you know,
X percent more or whatever, I would take on additional
responsibilities because I know that it would pay off for me.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
It's interesting you say that, because friends of mine who
have taken promotions with or without that money, they have
even less time to try and do all those things
because the responsibilities are so great they can't quote unquote
unplug as much.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
I think now they would be the great test for
me to see if that is the case, you know
what I mean? Now, if I were to take a promotion,
and I were to take a little extra money, now
I would like to see if I could actually hold
fast to saying notice certain things in order to achieve
the work life balance, which means taking time off and
(18:28):
really taking time off, because how can you be the
best employee you can be if you're not rested, you
know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Either way, gen Z's very different than those of us
who are the gen X. Where we live work work, work, work, work, all.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Live to work and not work to live. It's very European.
Like the Europeans, they don't have some of this stress
because they work so that they can live right. They
can take their cestas during the day for three four
hours and then go back to the job. Here in
a fortress America, we don't do that for whatever reason.
What do you think would you reject a promotion in
(19:03):
exchange for work life balance? Yes or no? There's no
right or wrong answer. Just want to hear yours eight
sixty six, ninety two, seven forty three sixty one. Feel
free to call it anytime. Get involved. You can also
tap the talk back microphone. In fact, why don't you
do that? Now, let's talk about something you shouldn't do
after a breakup.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
An expert says, there's this one thing, a big mistake
you're making. If you're doing it.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
And everybody's been through some sort of a breakup or
you would hope that you that you've been through something
and you've learned from it. So give us a call,
tap the talk back microphone. We'll talk about this coming up.
Stay we gon't talk about some breakups here at ninety
seven point one. Watch FM Toby and Chilly in the
Morning at eight sixty six ninet two, seven forty three
sixty one. There's a magazine article or an online article
(19:49):
that's floating around that's that's very very true and very
very telling. This woman says, I'm gonna give you some
big sisterly advice. Besides looking in on your X on
social media, there are some things things you shouldn't do
after you break up.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
And the worst thing you can do is to keep
tabs on that individual to see what they are up to. Nope, nope, nope.
Let it go.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Unplug the social media. Unplug the Instagram. You don't need
to know Facebook, you don't need to go through Facebook.
So what is the one thing that you feel like
you shouldn't do when it comes to a breakup, because
everybody goes through unfortunately or unfortunately people go through breakups.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
I mean, if I were to add a personal thing,
I got a dog right after a really rough breakup
to fill the void. I don't think that was a
smart reason to get one, because that's a huge responsibility.
It's not just like a quick little thing like, it's
years of responsibility. But that's one thing I don't think
you should invest in something like that.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
What about you, I think you should not overthink you
in the process, and you should just keep it moving
and move on.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
Like, don't look for a reason why.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
Yeah, don't overthink it too much. You know what, for you,
things just happen. Sometimes sometimes they happen for you feel
like it's bad at the time, then you dwell on it.
So don't dwell on it, keep it moving and don't
look back. I know I didn't say it was going
to be easy These are tough lessons days. They're why
they call them relationships, and you learn something from them
(21:17):
along the way. What is it that you would do
eight six, six, ninety two, seven forty three, sixty two
through sixty one. What is something you would not you
shouldn't do after your breakup? Right? You know there's a
lot of things you should do. We could talk about
those at another time, But what shouldn't you do when
it comes to a breakup that maybe you found yourself
doing from time to time. We're not going to judge,
(21:39):
just want to hear what you have to say, and
we will coming up here at ninety seven point one
washt them with Toby and Chile in the morning. God knows,
we're not relationship experts, but together we can find a
way forward. And if you need the news, we got

people that are our colleagues getting promotions in different jobs,
(25:46):
not just here. But they're empty promotions, right, They just
give them a title and they hand them a bunch
more responsibility without money. And that's not okay to me.
So if you were willing to come to me and
give me, you know, X percent more whatever, I would
take on additional responsibilities because I know that it would
pay off for me.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
It's interesting you say that because friends of mine who
have taken promotions with or without that money, they have
even less time to travel and do all those things
because the responsibilities are so great they can't quote unquote
unplug as much.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
I think now that would be the great test for
me to see if that is the case. You know
what I mean. Now, if I were to take a
promotion and I were to take a little extra money,
now I would like to see if I could actually
hold fast to saying notice certain things in order to
achieve the work life balance, which means taking time off
(26:41):
and really taking time off, because how can you be
the best employee you can be if you're not rested?
You know what, I mean either way.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
Gen Z's very different than those of us who are
the gen X, where yeah, live work, work, work, work, work, all.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Live to work and not work to live. It's very European.
Like the Europeans, they don't have some of the stress
because they work so that they can live. Right. They
can take their cestas during the day for three four
hours and then go back to the job. Here at
a fortress America, we don't do that for whatever reason.
What do you think would you reject a promotion in
(27:17):
exchange for work life balance? Yes or no, there's no
right or wrong answer. Just want to hear yours eight

free to call it anytime. Get involved. You can also
tap the talk back microphone. In fact, why don't you
do that? Now? Let's talk about something you shouldn't do
after a breakup.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
An expert says, there's this one thing, a big mistake
you're making. If you're doing it.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
And everybody's been through some sort of a breakup or
you would hope that you that you've been through something
and you've learned from it. So give us a call.
Tap the talkback microphone, we'll talk about this coming up.
Stay we gon't talk about some breakups here at ninety
seven point one. Watch FM Toby and Chilly in the
Morning at eight sixty six ninet two, seven forty three
sixty one. There's a magazine article or an online article
(28:02):
that's floating around. It's very very true and very very telling.
This woman says, I'm going to give you some big
sisterly advice. Besides looking in on your X on social media,
there are some things you shouldn't do after you break up.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
And the worst thing you can do is to keep
tabs on that individual to see what they are up to. Nope, nope, nope,
let it go.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Unplug the social media, Unplug the Instagram. You don't need
to know Facebook, you don't need to go through Facebook.
So what is the one thing that you feel like
you shouldn't do when it comes to a breakup, Because
everybody goes through unfortunately or unfortunately people go through breakups.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
I mean, if I were to add a personal thing,
I got a dog right after a really rough breakup
to fill the void. I don't think that was a
smart reason to get one, because that's a huge responsibility.
It's not just like a quick little thing, like it's
years of responsibility. But that's one thing I don't think
you should invest in something like that.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
I think you should not overthink you in the process
and you should just keep it moving and move on, like,
don't look reason why, Yeah, don't overthink it too much.
You know what, for you, things just happen sometimes sometimes
they happen for you feel like it's bad at the time,
then you dwell on it. So don't dwell on it,
keep it moving and don't look back. I know I
(29:23):
didn't say it was going to be easy. These are
tough lessons days. They're why they call them relationships, and
you learn something from them along the way. Yeah, what
is it that you would do eight sixty six, ninety two,
seven forty three, sixty two through sixty one. What is
something you would not you shouldn't do after your breakup? Right?
You know there's a lot of things you should do.
We could talk about those at another time. But what
(29:46):
shouldn't you do when it comes to a breakup that
maybe you found yourself doing from time to time. We're
not going to judge, just want to hear what you
have to say, and we will coming up here at

Elon Musk will take part in President Trump's first cabinet
meeting later today. He'll provide an update on how all
of the cabinet secretaries are identifying waste and government fraud well.
The House narrowly passed the GOP's budget resolution. A handful
of Republicans had expressed concern with the bill's spending cuts
and how it will affect social programs like Medicaid, but
(30:40):
they still voted for it. The FAA is investigating a
near collision between a Southwest Airlines plane and a smaller
jet at Chicago's Midway Airport yesterday. The business jet reportedly
entered the runway without authorization just as the Southwest plane
was landing. Meanwhile, locally, the FAA says an American Era
Lines pilot called off a landing at Reagan National yesterday

morning after spotting another plane on the runway. Pepco has
announced its extending breaks for customers in DC and Maryland
who found their energy bills jumped dramatically this winter. So
under the plan, customers will not have to pay late
fees for January, February or March. And according to a
(31:24):
recent study, our shorter lifespans might have something to do
with the fact that we don't have as many friends
as people did in previous generations. Back in the nineties,
forty nine percent of high school grads had at least
six close friends. We'll fast forward to now and that
number has dropped to just seventeen percent. Forecasts for today

what would that be and we'll get into it coming
up in just minutes, as Toby and Chilly in the

and Chilly in the Morning, it's ninety seven point one
wash f M. A little bit earlier, I said, just
keep it moving, don't overthink the why it ended, don't
(32:29):
waste time on that, don't overthink you. That's just not productive,
at least not in my opinion. So change nothing. Keep
the course, that's right, Yeah, say the course. It didn't
work out, Okay, it happens. What about you?
Speaker 3 (32:42):
I had said that I got a dog to fill
the void at the emptiness around the house. Maybe that's
not the wisest thing you should do, getting a pet
right after a breakup.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
Taking on that responsibility eight six six nine two seven
forty three sixty one Jason and Landover. When it comes
to a breakup, what should you do you not do
after the deed is done and it didn't work out.
Speaker 6 (33:04):
Oh, you shouldn't look at old stuff that reminds you
of your ex.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
Either store it all the way or just get rid
of it. It's time to move on.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
That's great advice. I had my stuff in a box
and then I dumped it when I met my husband.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
I had a friend of mine who I encouraged to
bring their stuff down from their ex relationship and throw
it in a wood shipper. Ooh, I actually did that
on the side of the building here. Yes, a ton
of time, no kidding. Ninety seven point one. Watchef them
things you should not do after your breakup Karen and Gaithersburg.
What wouldn't you do or what shouldn't you do? You
(33:36):
shouldn't immediately jump into another relationship just to fill the void,
you know, just try being single for a bit. Ah
this to that too.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
You also shouldn't immediately hook up with another X that
you had in your life just for some sort of validation,
so to see.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
I completely agree with that. Stand on your own two
feet for a while. There's nothing wrong with you being you,
nor do you need to have a SI significant other
to be completed in life. You know. Maybe that's just
my two cents on it.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
In other words, don't be a j lo exactly?
Speaker 2 (34:08):
What more?
Speaker 1 (34:08):
