Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well as we're all kind of gearing up for Christmas
and spending time with our families some of us. Guy, sorry,
we'll get into that tomorrow. Thor I guess they has
plans to go spend some time with the in laws. Huh, yeah,
that sounds like a good time. No, Northern Californiya.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
I enjoy hanging out everybody up there because of we're
all sports fans.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Well, so it's great.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Is that good for you?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Well, great, that's great until it comes to buying presents.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
We ain't done yet.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
It's time for the podcast over a year, completely uncensored
and unacting filtered, except for that part the show's after
show starts now. I honestly wonder what would have happened
if you married into a family that weren't sports fans, Like,

(00:55):
can you imagine going and spending time with them and
they're like, yeah, we don't really watch but during dinner.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Oh god, or something like that.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
My aunt did that with me one year.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Fucking shoot me.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
She hosted one year and she goes, yeah, we're turning
off the TV Thanksgiving dinner. What we can't even have
it on the back.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
I was, yeah, I was at when we were at
Thanksgiving dinner with my sister.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
My brother in law made all of food.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
It was incredible, And he's a massive sports but he's
a die hard Michigan Wolverine fan, so he gets it.
But there was a part of me for a second
because his family was there. So there's a part of
me for a second that was like, I wonder if
they're gonna say turn off the TV. And in my eyes,
I immediately start thinking I'm a little kid and I
have to do it. But then I start thinking, fuck that.
I'm at my sister's house. I'm giving this downstairs by myself.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
I don't fucking care. I'm thirty.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
I'm gonna be thirty eight years old.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
I think yours between you and your dad, Yeah, it happen.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
It was, It didn't there.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
They were cool, but yeah, yeah, you're headed up north
for some Christmas antics up there with your wife's family.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Yeah, we're well, go ahead.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Sorry God, I was just gonna say it all sounded
all jolly and good until you got the news of
what's actually going down.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah, so we they weren't. We weren't sure when we
were going up there because my dog Watson needs an
a cl surgery, so we can't get it. We need
to be with him. So A dogs, we don't. I
don't want to put a dog sitter in that situation.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
You go to take care of him, give them pills
because he's like wild two and he's gonna be Yeah,
well he's hurt.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
And then and then on top of that, I wanted
to fly up there, but A, we'd have to wait
till last second because of the weather.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
If it's cloudy, we can't go.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
And then B I don't know how my dog would
react in plenty for the first time with the surgery.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Oh, you're taking the dogs with you?

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Yeah, I'm gonna we're gonna take the dogs with Yeah,
we're gonna take the dogs with us.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
I know.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
And I wanted to fly. It's like a two and
a half hour flight, but just with him with the
torn A CEO, it's just risky. So I'm gonna we're
gonna drive. So when they found out we're driving, they
were like, oh, that's great now, I said, yeah, we're
you know, we were usually run a car when we
go up there anyway, so we'll save us a little
bit of money, I guess.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
And they they said that's great.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
This year we're doing something different and we're glad you
guys are going to be here, and I'm like, well,
what are we doing that's different. It's always the same
every year. You know, we have nieces, and we have two.
We have two nieces, and then Haley has three brothers.
So whenever we go up there or whenever we do Christmas,
we get gifts for the nieces. There's usually one dollars two,

(03:23):
and then her three brothers we each get like something
small because her younger brothers are a lot younger than me.
They're all like, they're twenty two and twenty four, so
Haley would buy them like one v Ory's shirt, so right,
and then we get her dad and her stepmom something,
and then her real her biological mom doesn't celebrate any
of us.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
So that's great. We're off the hook there.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Actually, right doesn't celebrate. She doesn't celebrate holiday to her birthdays.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
We never get that.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
We never have to get her anything. Oh god, which
everyone was Joe was thinking about Mary.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Hell yeah, hell yeah, oh man.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
So Haley and I we're planning on going up there
and just spoiling our nieces and looking everybody something small.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
And then we hear from her dad, and her dad says, oh, actually,
this year, we're doing something different. And we said what,
and we said.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
We've just we've decided we're doing Yankee swap.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Oh and I go, oh, let's go. Yes. I love
white elephant. I love Yankee swap.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
The same as a white same thing. Yeah, all right,
you got like.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
So many rounds still you just had one this so
I was out of yankee essentially white elfin.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Yeah, did you get something good?

Speaker 3 (04:37):
I got a hair care bag. I got like some
hair care stuff like a brush and some products and
stuff that was funked about.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Excited, nervous.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
I took it from somebody.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Okay, we're good. I want to get good after it.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Well, my thing was her younger, her older brother and
my sister in law don't want gifts, just buy stuff
for the kids.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
And we're like, all right, that's fine.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
And then is that how you responded or were more
like hell, because.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
That's what my sister does.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
She goes, just buy stuff for our nephews, don't buy
stuff for us.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
But you don't listen to it.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Right, Well, I don't want to, Annoyer, Really you are
too much.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
So so.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
And so her and her younger brothers. I feel like,
now one Keith's gonna be twenty six.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
At a certain age.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
I don't know what we're talking about. So Haley and
I decided that, okay, you we were going to get
gifts for her dad or stepmom and that was and
our nieces and that was it.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Because it was as little tight this year with.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Washington surgery and.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
He's having us.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
I got this in October. I don't want to hear
about it. Okay, so watching.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Having the surgery.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
So we agree in that. So then they hear they
do the Yankees. Okay, I guess it will save us money.
But then I found out the parameters of the Yankee swap, which,
by the way, we weren't even asked about. We were
just told, this is what we're doing.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Well, whoever host kind of determines how you do the
whole present situation.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
But don't I don't agree.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
You want to first well, first of all, this is
you ask if you're you guys are cool with this. Well,
you don't just tell us, hey, this is what we're
doing now. So there's two rounds of a Yankee swap
that I didn't know about.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Eddie.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
There's the first round will be twenty five gifts. Twenty
five dollars gifts in under.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
All right, that's fine, that's usually what it is.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
In the second round is one hundred dollars gifts.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Oh really, I'm like it.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Now they were you were doing Yankee swap in my eyes,
to save money. Now we're gonna spend more fucking money
than we were if we were buying gifts for everybody.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
I want to do this such an idiot. I'm not idiot.
They weren't doing Yankee swap to save money. That's just
what you are saying. There's no chance in hell somebody goes,
you know't be fun this year. Do Yankee swap. And
everybody's like, yeah, that sounds great. Nobody's thinking but you.
It's oh, it's to save money, and nobody my family

(07:06):
we do not only presents for everybody. We do a
Secret Santa, and we do white Elephant, we do all that.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Well, that's it's the most extreme thing I've ever heard
in my life. That's the most extreme life. So did
they say this is in lieu of giving presence? This
is not we're not giving presents any We got that part.
We're doing to me that's screams. We're saving money. We
don't want to get everybody gifts to it. We don't
want to get everybody gifts, and we just we just

(07:35):
buy two things and everyone does the fucking game.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
So but in my eyes, I'd rather get everybody cheaper gifts,
so everybody gets one thing. Why And also you don't
ask me, You don't send a text to me and
my me and my wife.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
How do you know they haven't sent it to Hailey
because Hailey. I feel like I feel like Haley's in
on this and.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Probably would be crazy. It could be crazy, is it?

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Though? If you found out Hailey kind of new.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
I'd be fished. No, I'd be fished. No.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
I don't not like Yankee swap. I just don't like
this one hundred dollars gift. I got my dad's sixteen
dollars bird feeder. Oh my god, John, they don't I'm
not they're not allowed to listen to people.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Oh really? Yeah? I mean no X amount.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
The pee podcast is a much from my parents.

Speaker 1 (08:25):

hundred and fifty dollars.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
You're fucking hot.

Speaker 1 (08:34):

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Me and my wife are doing one gift. No, yes, yeah,
ask ask your.

Speaker 1 (08:42):

Yankee swap, it is individual gifts because you can't play

you want dollars.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Is breaking news.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
I realize fifty I will cut off my leg before
I spent without that.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Anybody else want to steal this want. I don't want
the leg. I don't want to like you're too fifty deep.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
There is absolutely no chance.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
I'm not going to go there, but you going.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
You're one hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
I'm going to tear my a cl so I don't
have to go. Me and Watson can stay back.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
You're one hundred and twenty five in and Haley is
one hundred and twenty five in.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
You have to no no, no, no no no no no
no no no no no no no no no no
no no.

Speaker 1 (09:36):

of white elephants, there is no couple going in on it.
It's all individuals, all drawn.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
You want this? Do I play this game?

Speaker 2 (09:48):
And then Homie's going to the ninety nine fucking cent store.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
There's anything I don't under.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
I was like it, like any said, I was not
a white elephant this last weekend and what I was
wanting charge of getting the numbers out. But I just
counted all the gifts on the table to know how
many numbers to write.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Out how many people?

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Because that and it's all individual, right, individual?

Speaker 2 (10:10):
You can't do a couple literally, can you can this year?
It's not you can this year?

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Good luck talking to Niner about that.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
I'm not doing.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
So then you're out and Hayley's the only one gonna play.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Yeah, yeah, I don't play.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
I don't care. I'll go.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
