(00:00):
So Whinnie, I was thinking aboutyou. Yep, yesterday I was driving
listening to my you know, inmy car, listening to stuff, and
I keep hearing about this new showon HBO Max. I don't know if
you're watching it or have heard aboutit, but I'm hearing nothing about good
things. It's my girlfriend watching it. We watched it yesterday. Oh my
god, I nailed that. Yeah, I nailed that. So I don't

(00:22):
know much about it. I knowit's a reality show. Girod Carmichael is
obviously a comedian. He well,he came out literally came out on stage,
like years ago, a few yearsago, he came out on stage,
and so now you watched it.I didn't, So I don't know.
But all I know is I've beenhearing a lot of praise about it.
I did hear that he's a bitof an oversharerer and doing things like

(00:45):
meeting up with guys on Grinder, hooking up with them unprotected. I don't
know, well, I don't knowof all the time, but like he
had a boyfriend and he was likeopenly cheating on him on camera. Oh
okay, and then like her ininto the last episode, episode five,
War is what we're up to.We were watching it like yesterday afternoon.
And his dad, his parents havebeen famously not really supportive of him being

(01:07):
gay, like they're very religious whatever. But his dad had four kids with
another woman while he was married tothe mom, so he had like two
families, right. So he goeson a road trip with his dad down
to South Carolina, where his dad'sfrom, and he goes, you want
to meet my boyfriend? And thedad's like, okay, yeah, Like
I meet him and he's like, but do you want to meet him?
And he's like, I mean,if you want me to, I don't

(01:27):
have a problem meeting him. Andhe's like, yeah, I don't want
to think you want to meet him. I just think you're saying that or
whatever. And then he's like he'slike, I'll meet the guy whatever.
And he's like, do you wantto see him? He's like, oh,
you have a picture, gives apicture. He showed him right out
the shower and ski be underwear.Okay, like that your father's kind of
homophobic? Yeah, like he justyeah, I mean that's he does a

(01:49):
lot of stuff like and honestly, like I've always liked draw Carmichael. I
think he's he's like a he's longterm funny. It takes you a while
to get to the laugh, butwhen you get there, it's like he's
kind of similar to like a DaveChappelle, where it's like a story that
he's telling. I have a conversationand there's funny parts, you know what
I mean, But it's not asI think, inspirational as I mean.
It was a big deal. Wehad him on this show on the bill,

(02:10):
I know, we had him onThe Billy Leads Show. It was
a big deal. Jared Carmichael willjoin us at eight fifteen. Comedian Girard
Come. Comedian Girard car I can'tsay the two words together like that.
Comedian Comedian Gerard Carmichael will join usBilly and Lisa in The Morning Present,

(02:32):
a behind the scenes look into Boston'sfavorite morning show. That's a little too
much information, say, guys, the after show podcast who Here's justin a
way, Yeah, so maybe I'llcheck it out, but you know,
watch so that minute episode. Tobe honest with you, we don't watch
any TV at all. My wifeand I. Yeah, it's just you

(02:53):
know, with the kids. It'sreally because when when do people that have
young children in right, when dothey watch TV after the kids go to
bed? That's right, Yeah, that's right. And so she just hangs
out all of the time. She'stired, you know, she's home all
day. My daughter's in daycare now. But will she be in the bed

(03:15):
on her phone with you? No, when there's a hot show she's watching.
She's really into Love is Blind. So there were a couple of times
when she wanted to watch it andI said, that's fine. I have
a hard time falling asleep. Ineed complete silence and a fan, you
know, and I need to clickmy heels exhausted, click my heels five
times. If you don't get thatjoke, you gotta not joke but comment

(03:37):
reference. You gotta listen to theshow. But yeah, so I don't
watch any TV. I actually amenvious. Actually so, Ashley Feldman is
a friend of mine, and goingback to when I worked with her on
Jammin We this is before kids.I was the show guy. Yeah,
okay, I was. I watchedeverything I can recommend a show. I
knew all the upcoming shows. Imean, I was the fucking show guy.

(04:00):
Okay, So then fast forward,I have kids all that stuff.
Ashley kind of takes over. Nowshe's the show person, right. She
watches all the shows, and soshe'd always kind of make fun of me.
She still does good. She watchesshows. I don't watch any,
but she's like, remember when youwere the show guy. Right now,
I don't watch anything, but sheas a kid and she's watching. It's
excuse, I know. It's agreat point. That's a great point.

(04:23):
Well, okay, i'll give you. I'll give you. So my daughter
goes to bed at seven, Okay, so we could put the I could
put my daughter in the bed andthen watch until eight thirty. Yeah,
but then my son doesn't go tobed till eight eight thirty. So what
happens is my wife puts my daughterto bed, and then I stay up
and put my son to bed.Yeah, and you know it's not easy
for it to get him down togo to sleep. My son? Who

(04:45):
you telling you how to literally sleepwith him? Until like last year,
Well, I still have to laywith him. Oh yeah, yeah,
that he does, and he hestays in his bed for the most part
unless he has a nightmare. Mysister and brother, myister brother do that.
They like they go to sleep withthe girls. They lay down with
them and they get out the bed. You know, it's really it's crazy.

(05:08):
My friend Mike, he has ason, Liam, same age as
able Liam. Yeah, they're together. Oh they are, well, Liam's
are wrestling champ. But anyway, when he the he trained sleep train both
his kids, Mike himself. Usuallythe dad has to do it because of
the mom to cry it out.So luckily the mother worked nights serving,

(05:30):
so he had the kids all weekendand he just he literally for each kid
when the time came. He spentthe whole weekend and just let them cry
it out. He said, it'snot easy, but he did it,
so I'll never forget when he saidto me, I go, let me
get this straight. You bring Liaminto his bed, you read him a
book, or you sit with him, and then you say good night,
and then you leave the room andhe goes to sleep. Yeah, every

(05:54):
night. I don't even know whatthat is. I don't know what that's
like. Jem Jemmo, we mightJemma is sleep change. She sleeps through
the night. It's amazing when yousleep train them, It really is amazing,
especially when you've done that percussions. He's seven I know, and still
fucked up. Yeah, yeah,he's still I mean there there are weeks
where he'll he'll come running into theroom, like three or four night.
I remember like it was yesterday. It was literally like five six years ago.

(06:18):
They were all telling you, Lisa, Maddie, Milly do he was
a year old whatever it was. You're like, no, no, we
know what we're doing. No,we no, no, we this is
what works for us. Don't mindyour business. And now look at you,
fucking sleep changer. You're one anda half year old and your seven
year old still need to daddy tofall asleep. Listen, take this as

(06:41):
a lesson. If you're listening tothis podcast, which thank you by the
way, and you're pregnant and thinkingabout having kids or just had a young
child, sleep training is so much. Think you know better, you think,
but like you're gonna fuck your kidup that they're gonna be needing you
to sleep with him. You knowwhat, though, we we don't.
We don't really regret it, doyou know why? It's it's because at
that time Jen was in nursing schoolthat you need at the time exactly.

(07:04):
But if you could go back, would you have taken a weekend and done
it. Yes, because it seemslike from when I've gather my friend,
one of my best friend from middleschool, her son's five, she did
it like four years ago, whateverit was, she literally did it and
it changed. I mean literally, this girl could get him to nap whenever
she wanted, gets it. Nowhe's five, that reads the bed,

(07:27):
goes up to his room, noproblem. Like I just like the way
in the last couple of years I'veseen from naptime being easy for her and
then now bedtime, now that he'snot napping anymore. I mean, the
girl did herself a major favorite likea couple of years ago, and now
it's a breeze. It's it changesyour life, man, Like it took
that long for jem to no,No, not at all. She had
a couple of regressions. But whenit's amazing. At seven o'clock, you

(07:51):
know, she's very schedule. Rightat seven o'clock, Gemma will literally she'll
get her bubba and then after acouple of minutes, she'll look and say
bed and then and she'll say byebye Dad, bye Dada, and then
she says she wants and then shegoes into her room and then jen like
will sit with her and rock herwhile she drinks her bottle, and then
she places her on the crib andshe goes right to sleep and sleeps through

(08:13):
the night. And then she wakesup in the morning and when she gets
up your hair and she's like,Mama, mama, mama, it's amazing,
it really is. And then youget my son. She sleeps usually
twelve eleven to twelve, between sixand seven, between six and seven.
Yeah, yeah, so it's reallygood. Anyway, today is closing day
one, but that's how usually is. Anyway, it's closing day. I'm

(08:37):
gonna leave hair and go to uhclose on my home equity for a hassle.
It has and there's a lot offear around it. You know,
it's a big amount of money.Yeah, but you know what you have.
You're not leaving your house, right, you have the equity, the
equity. Worst comes to worse.I can sell my house, pay off
the loan and uh and it evenmakes some money. But I'm not going

(09:01):
anywhere. No, you're not.But I'm saying you'll be fine. I'll
be fine. How about this. How about I'm with my son last night
and he said to me, Dad, when I get older, I'm gonna
because now he's at an age wherehe's learning a lot of things. He's
hearing a lot of things, sohe'll ask questions. And I know you,
I know you remember when you werea kid. When you're a kid,
you just want to be grown, and then when you're grown, you

(09:22):
wish you could go back and bea kid. That's how it is.
Although I will say I was onit early. I said I never wanted
to grow up. I thought itwas shit. I was like, this
is stupid. You're the Peter PinnI was. I My mom will call
me that because I was like,I don't want to grow up. I
don't and I'm here. I amgrowing Like I knew it. I fucking
knew it. I just wanted whenI was a young teenager, I started
smoking cigarettes young. I wanted tobe eighteen to be able to buy cigarettes,
and then twenty one to buy alcohol. Anyway, those are bad aspirations.

(09:46):
Yeah, So yesterday he says tome, Dad, when I grow
up and I find a girlfriend andget married, we're going to live here.
I'm never moving out. Yeah reallyreally? He said? Yeah?
Is that not okay? I go, well, I did say, what
it's not okay? But when youget older and you start working, and

(10:07):
you go into a career and youwant to live here, you'll have to
pay. He was flabbergasted. Haveyou charge me money? But I'm your
son, I'm not leaving. Iknow you have to pay for yourself.
I go, we'll have this conversationlater. He'll be living down with Nanny
for free. So I think thatthe way I envision it, right,

(10:28):
Obviously, Nanny is you No,she's she's only sixties. Yeah, she's
in the low sixties. Sixties,No, she's sixty one or sixty two.
No, she was born in sixtytwo, so she's going to be
sixty she's sixty one. Oh yeah, okay, but think about it.
Nana is eighty five, eighty four, yeah, fifteen years. Let's not
be morbid. I'm just saying, but yes, you are you are right,

(10:50):
you are right. So so she'llbe living with his seventy five year
old grandmother down for free in herand her unit. Yeah, that could
happen. Nanny won't charge him, could What are you gonna say? Nanny
pays for that part of the house, and you know what, else know
what else is crazy the downstairs wherethey live Nanny's house. One bedroom is
on one side and then the otherbedrooms on the other side. Yeah.

(11:11):
Perfect from roommates or your grandson andyour grandmother. Plus Nanny would be like,
oh you got your girlfriend. Ohyou have a little sexy time.
I can see it now. I'mgonna put on a nice sauce tonight.
I can see I can see itright the fuck now. It is interesting
though. My nieces are seven andfour, and the way they like talk

(11:31):
about like boys and marriage and like, so when they met my girlfriend,
uh, you know, for Easter, they said to my sister because they
knew I had a girlfriend. ButI don't think they were processing it really
so that okay, like when Auntiecomes like over, her girlfriend is a
girl, right, and they werelike, yeah, she it's a girlfriend,
not like a boy, you know, boy, you know whatever.
They're like, yeah, she's agirl, she's a girl. And they

(11:52):
were like okay, And then Lailagoes, well, I want to marry
a boy. And then my sistergoes, yeah, you can do that,
and then me and like the youngerone goes, I want to marry
a boy too, and they werelike and my sisters, yeah, you
can marry whoever however you want. And then they were like, well,
Auntie, you're an adult. Youcould already marry a boy. What are
you doing? And then she's like, okay, my sister's single. She's

(12:13):
like twenty seven, she's single.Whatever. It's just funny the way they
view it, like you should getmarried your twenty you know, you're an
adult. And then I go,hey, I wanted to marry a boy
until six months ago, so Iget it. Marry a boy, yeah,
go for it. They really haveno idea about life. Amazing,
even though they're very accepting, likethey just didn't process it. Like when
they said I had a girlfriend, like okay, and then like wait,

(12:33):
it's a girl. She's a girl, and it's like yeah. But it's
interesting how they process things. It'sso funny. There's this like meme or
this thinking, especially in recovery, where for people that are that you got
clean, that used to use andit's like remember when one hundred dollars was
like a thousand dollars, it's gonnahave to be free if you were using
it. My first job was stoppingshop. Okay, good, first job

(12:54):
because it's a union. So Igot time and a half on weekends,
right, and then like tall daypay. So if I was working a
Sunday and like a Monday holiday,I was like sixteen seventeen bringing in like
three hundred dollars a week by timeand a half. Yeah when I yeah,
it was time and a half homewith Sundays and then double time or
time and a half or holiday payfor like you know, any long you

(13:16):
know, any of those holidays, even if i'd like Easter or what you
know whatever. So I'm like fifteen, sixteen seventeen bringing home like three four
hundred a week with no bills. You know what I went done with three
four like and you were you werehood yeah, because I was like my
parents only made me pay for gasin my car. Yeah, like it
was the only thing is that youcouldn't If you couldn't pay for gas,
you couldn't drive. So it waslike really gas in my car and like

(13:39):
a couple of things. And Iwas just kissed it away the days anything,
the good old days. I coulddo anything to go back to that.
Yeah, anyways, can we go? So I'm depressed now? Oh
why you depressed me? I'm sorry, why did you do that? I'm
sorry? Yeah, so real quickabout the show, so it's so confusing,
right, So we we talked aboutabout the talking about our personal lives

(14:01):
thing, which I think we dida little bit today, but people,
you know, like we want tohear more of that whatever, and I
understand that. But then during topictime, what happened was is behind the
scenes, right, we had SeanStillato on the NFL Agent and typically when
we get out of that segment aroundseven twenty seven, we tease because there
are new listeners tuning in. Sevento eight is the most listened to,

(14:22):
so there's a good chance most ofthose people that are listening at that time
in the seven o'clock didn't hear thetopics that we'd said at six point thirty.
Right, Okay, So because wedid not tease and say, hey,
topic time's coming up, call us, we we like didn't have any
calls because we had to tell people. So we started topic time by telling
our own weird things that we do, right, Winnie, Right, And

(14:45):
then I get to talk about frommcgirl and it's like, hey, you
know, I really love topic timenow, you know, I loved right
now and I love you change thisto topic time. But you guys are
just talking a little bit too muchabout yourselves, Like this is want to
hear what people have to say,you know what I mean. And I
wanted to talk back to the talkbacker and I could I have a couple

(15:11):
of times, but I wanted tosay to them. You know, typically
we go right to the phones, but when we don't have phones, and
as soon as we start talking aboutit, and I told mine, then
all the phone calls come in.You know, that's how wrong. That's
how radio listening works. Well.A lot of people listen to the podcast
straight through at the end, buta lot of our listeners listen live and

(15:33):
only for small portions. That's howit goes anyway. Wednesday is done,
Thursday is tomorrow. We appreciate youlistening. And uh yeah, is that
it? Whinny? That's it allright, man? Yeah, maybe when
you'll show a girlfriend today on Instagram. No, I didn't know we were
still doing that, the hiding ofthe girl. I do, but I
didn't know you were teasing. Iknow because I am on the audience's side.

(15:56):
The audience wants to see the girlfriend. They want to my decision we've
talked about this, okay, AndI respect that Jen said justin no post
me. I respect that. Andit's not even like she says that,
she just like I know she she'lltell me when she even the day I
said something and then I was like, you want me to tag you in
it? And she's like no,but you're getting closer and closer. And
now we have a side shot ofher face. Yeah, so maybe that'll

(16:18):
get revealed one but then and thenand then well then kiss concert. Is
she going, yeah, oh okay, is that going to be the big
reveal? Well no, I meanit is Pride month, so maybe I
don't know. June first, Ohyeah, you should do it for Pride
months. Yeah, so but thenher birthdays in a few weeks. I
don't know my post for that. You know her birthdays. You're so gay?
Now, I am all right. That'll do it. Have a good one.
