I think a lot of people, especially here in Boston
anywhere besides California, are doing better than over there.

Yeah, I woke up this morning, you know, three am,
and I had a flurry of emails from my boss
because we had Jojo on from La And I had
no idea. I mean, obviously I know they had been
going on, but you know, I kind of saw this
real sense of urgency in the emails and I was like, wow, okay,
And then I opened up my phone and Twitter and
all that stuff, and I saw the new fires and
Hollywood and.

It's never ending. Yeah, really really sad.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Yeah, it's really sad. But I think we did a
good job of covering it. We got some good calls.
We had Jojo on Caroline Kepnis. We had to be
evacuated there. You know, we opened the phone lines, you know,
we just that's the benefit I think of a of
a live show. Right when so people like to talk
about radio and its impact and how it's not what
it once was, which is true. And podcasting obviously is
very big these days, right, But what radio has over

podcasting is the live, ass instantaneousness of it.

A podcast, A lot of them are put in the can,
meaning they are previously taped and then.

Times even this podcast sometimes not all the time, though.

Yeah, we try to do it on the day.

But but when we do it, we don't like we
we're recording it at ten am when I listen to
it until six pm.

Yeah, so you're you're able to call and talk to
real people, you leave talkbacks, you hear it back in
real time. So that's kind of one of the benefits.
And I think today was a good demonstration of that
of the power of radio. So radio, Winnie, you have
a big day today. You have to leave, so you're
getting a photo shoot done?

I'm sure she's great. Yeah, Kristen, but I think it's
a testament to her being good at her job.

She's amazing making them comfortable and makes you feel so comfortable.
It's amazing.

I mean, you know this that I have a coach
and stuff, and I send pictures every week of me
and my underwear, well of my body makes adjustments.

selling his pictures on only fans.

the wildfires and everyone affected. It's just awful. And I
said it on the show, and I want to just
end with this. You know a lot of people, including myself,
when these fires for us broke out, and you hear
you know, the Palisades and Malibu, and you think, oh,
the celebrities. That sucks, But you know they have ten

more homes, or they have the money. They just write
a check and they can rebuild. That's maybe true, but
there's a ton more of regular people. We're talking firefighters,
we're talking about teachers that are losing their homes and
don't have the money to rebuild and don't like maybe
have insurance. So yeah, just some thoughts on that, but anyway,
we'll talk tomorrow.
