Speaker 1 (00:00):
After show podcasts.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
We are on, we are live, and we are ready
to go, Winnie, Justin. The show just ended, and now
we are here to record an after show, a recap show,
or or this is great. We might not even talk
about the show. We might just talk about ourselves. You
never know, No, you never know what we're going to
talk about. That's the beauty of the after show. So

(00:22):
we work on a radio show where, for the most part,
it's planned out. We know what we're going to say
when we go on, we know the topic, we know
the general direction of where we want to go. But
on the after show, here's the great part, Winnie, we
have no fucking idea.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Billy and Lisa in the Morning present a behind the
scenes look into Boston's favorite morning show. That's a little
too much information, shy my guys.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
The after show podcast who Justin?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
I will say when he that it was very cool
to have Joey McIntyre in the building.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
And think about his life.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Crazy crazy crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
So I was, well, I was explaining to producer Riley
because she knows who the new kids are, but she
was born in two thousand, Yeah, like way past when
they were massive, And I go Riley, think about a
boy band. Did you have a favorite boy band? She
goes one direction? They one direction was my all time
posters on the wall like went crazy, I go bigger.

(01:23):
New Kids were bigger back in the day, bigger so
and they did it all with no social media or anything.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
They just were a massive boy band. So it's really
cool that Joe's coil around. Yeah, and he's super cool too,
really nice.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
He came here by himself himself. He's staying I believe
in his home that he has here yep, no literally
no entourage.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yeah, by himself.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
I was just walking from the bathroom before we started recording,
and one of the sales ladies was like talking to
somebody that I couldn't see that was in a different room,
and they were kind of like talking back and forth,
and so I came walking by and I said good morning,
and she looked at me and she goes, oh, sorry,
we were just going crazy. Like Joey McIntyre just walked
by and we didn't even know it was him. He

(02:06):
walked by all the salespeople and they kind of just
looked at each other and go, was that Joey McIntire,
Which is really funny, what do we think his net
worth is?

Speaker 3 (02:16):
You know, probably they're probably gonna have him at like
thirty or forty mil. But I'm sure it's more.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
It's never accurate.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
I'm accurate, but it's a good gauge.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Gauge. I would take thirty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Yeah, but I'm sure it's that's so this one says nineteen.
So you think that he still gets residual checks, I
come in.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
I would love to ask him how it works. But
think about how much they make. That's why they still tour.
They're making a ton of money.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Oh on the touring, yeah, you know what I mean,
like because.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Live shows, where does that merch? They do a new
kid's cruise?

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Oh yeah, you know.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
I mean like they really work it, like they are
all making millions of dollars a year off of current
new kids.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
But I think they also the music right. But I
also think that it's not just about the money. I
think they really love their fans, They love performing and
all that, except for Jonathan Jonathan though.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
If you notice, Jonathan has definitely come now that he's
like in his mid fifties, like he he he's like,
you know, I'm here just to hang out like, I'm
not a dancer.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
You don't they even try? No, it's you know what
I mean.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
He has a TV show on HGTV that does well.
He definitely has come into his own more personality wise
with being like, you know, very sweet. I see videos
all the time with him with fans. He seems like
a very man.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I just love how you know. That just shows how
close they are they still are. They could easily be
like Jonathan, we know you don't want to do this,
but we'll just go out without you do your show,
no problem. But they're like, no, come on and don't
do anything, just stand on stage. It's like at one
point when we saw him at the Garden, we talked
about this all the time. He came over and he
was right in front of where we were sitting. Jonathan

(03:56):
literally wasn't saying he wasn't dancing. Then he sees Billy
the audience.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
He's out there, He's just showing face.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
It's really cool.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
So Jordan and Joey were kind of like the you know,
the lead singers.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
I feel like, you know, yeah, But doesn't it seem
like at the shows now Donnie is the lead.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Johnny's the entertainer.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah you heard, not solo.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
It's more like a rap. Oh yeah, girl, how you
doing girl? Well?

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah, that's why. That's why Joe That's why Joey and Jordan,
they're the singer.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
They are the singers.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
They each have the solo performances at the show.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Yes, like Liken, Donnie Wahlberg is an amazing entertainer. Would
he be like a top singer? Those are two different things.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
So great actor too, No.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
But but Joey ow fuck. Joey does a lot of
individual stuff. He's done Broadway, He's done movies, TV shows,
you know what I mean. He's an entertainer himself. He
was in The Heat, good movie he played He played
what's Melissa McCartney's brother.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Joey McIntyre was in The Heat Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
With Bill Burr. And and remember you've seen The Heat
with Sandra Bullock. Oh yeah, oh there he is like
hit them all in a car, like to like to cause.
Oh yeah, yeah, he was playing He played Melisa McCarty's
brother with Bill Burr.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
See I wondered that I'd love to talk more than
more with Joey. So he did this role? So did
he did he keep acting? Does he want to keep acting?
How does he do?

Speaker 3 (05:35):
You know? He's he was on a CBS TV show,
like not that long ago. He has You look at
his acting credits, he has a lot. He is He's
not as many as Donnie, but he has a lot
of acting credits. Interesting, he's definitely more of the actor
in the group with you know, but when it comes
to acting, like he's filmography. He was in.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
And of the Mac That was a show that he
was on.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
I mean justin in twenty twenty three. He played he
was in a TV movie.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Oh, he was in Boston, Paul Look, I remember that show.
Oh God, there's a ton of stuff here on Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
He's a big actor. Yeah, Yeah, he was in there
was he was in Fuller House. He was in there
was a show. He's in the Goldberg. That's a big show.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
He was on CSI New York.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
But he was in Oh, the McCarthy's it was on CBS.
He played a main character. It was It got canceled
after a year, but it was a CBS show, I
mean a network show.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Yeah, that's a big deal.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
No, he was in the remake of nine to two one. Oh,
he was in Psych. He was in CSI, New York, Johnny, Bravo,
Boston Public, all that.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
All yeah, yeah, my my my wife was bombed.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Oh and then look at his theater credits.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Yeah, I know he's big on Broadway. My wife was
was bombed. She has a crazy week at work. Otherwise
she would have came down. Oh yeah, to either the
in studio this morning or to Newberry Comics at one o'clock,
because we're all gonna be there at one o'clock. In
Fanuel Hall, Joey has a new album, new song, and
Billy's gonna host a little interview.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
A bunch of listeners are gonna show up. So that's
pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
It'll be fun. What are you gonna do in the meantime.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
I'm just gonna work. I'm gonna stay here. I brought
my lunch with me, so I'm gonna eat my lunch.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
So I brought I'm gonna go to the gym. I
brought two faith cloths to try to just you know,
clean up a little bit because I can't go home
and shower.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Oh why did you get dirty between the time you
woke up and now?

Speaker 3 (07:33):
No, I'm gonna work out. I'm gonna go Okay, I shouldn't.
I don't sweat too much when I don't do cardio.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Hope, deodorant.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
I did bring deodorant. I brought theodorant I bought it.
Brought a hair straight and fix my hair. I brought
makeup to a makeup on. So I'm gonna go to
the gym clean, you know, I don't. I think today
might be arms, which is I don't sweat too much
during arms. Yeah, I sweat way more drink and I'm
not doing cardio today, so yeah, that's when I really sweat.
So I'll wait, I'll be all right.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
I've been dealing with some back acne, a little bit bacne,
and I think the culprit I figured out is that
I have this bad habit of when I work out afterwards,
I'll stay in the same shirt for how long, well,
on the weekends, potentially hours.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
You're nasty, Okay, you don't come home and take a shower.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
I don't know, because I only shower at night, so
I end up going sorry, do you mean?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Yeah? So I do my ice bath and sona and
all that at night.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
I'm sorry? What are you talking about? You?

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (08:29):
For example, you're saying, but you work out, yes, like so.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Okay, no worse than that much. And during the week
two at three o'clock I work out. Okay, So when
I come home around five, and I'll hang around for
an hour and then I'll go into the ice and
sauna and then shower.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
The problem is the weekends because on Saturday and Sunday,
specifically Saturday, I'll get up at around five thirty six,
I'll eat, I'll go to the gym for seven o'clock
when it opens, and then I'll work out. I'll do cardio,
hard work. I'll get home around nine to nine thirty
and then I'm in the same shirt until probably five
or six pm.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Why do you not shower?

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Not anymore? Not anymore.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
I think that's what was causing issues on my back
because I'm sitting in my sweat.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
You know, I just can't believe that this is a
conversation what we're having. It's just why don't you shower
right when you get home from the gym?

Speaker 1 (09:22):
I don't know, I don't know. You know what, Sometimes
I like.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
To next time we talk about Benny Blanco or somebody
else's bodily hygiene, I'm going to bring this up.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
But it's used to you figured it out.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Right, but you just stopped doing it.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
This week, I went to the dermatologist and she said,
she gave me some medication, and she said, you know,
I know you're a big workout guy. Make sure I
would shower at the gym. She goes as soon as
you're done. And then I said to her exactly what
I just told you, and her face was a look
of it was a mix of shock and disgust.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
And I was like, oh, yeah, I don't get it.
I know, I just I don't.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Changing my waist. Changing my waist, okay, okay.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
That's the fact that we even have to change it
is sad.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
I mean, it is what it is.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
You are. I know, we've talked about like plenty of
celebrities and they're you.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Know, not chynge.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
Yeah, and you've never mentioned this.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
I never thought it was weird.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Honestly, I never thought it was weird until I went
and saw the dermatologist about my back acne. And that
was the first thing she said was to make sure
you change your shirt after I work out.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
I've been doing it for years on right now. Yeah,
I've been doing it for years.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
It's gross.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
There's a video.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Could you do it when you were like three hundred pounds?
You probably smell.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
I don't think I did. Jen never said that I smelled.
Maybe she's being.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
Told that a bigger smell because I you know.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
No, Yeah, sometimes it is more sweat. I'm sure. I'm
sure I did, but I think I'm I'm pretty clean.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
No, it's just it's not about it's not about you
being bigger. It's about your lack of hygiene.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Yeah, yeah, well, I mean, because.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
That's twenty big people that shower every day. I just don't.
I am.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
I mean my hygiene back in the day wasn't good,
well documented. I didn't really brush my teeth or shower.
I mean I went weeks without showering because I didn't
have a home. When you don't have a home, Winny,
there's no way that you can shower, you know.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
So that was deep.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
But yeah, the showering is the last thing on your mind,
you know. And yeah, I've told I can't tell that
story again now I can't. It's see, this is what
you do. You get me in these situations. Friday, I'll
tell it on Friday.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Tell it on Friday.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yeah, I will okay, okay, just dirty.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
I want to hear about it. I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
You already know the story, but you don't know you
already know it.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Yeah, that's when I no, no, no if wait, no,
we're not going to remember it.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
We are, Oh, we.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Are, We're going to remember. I'm going to write it down. Okay,
we're going to talk about on Friday. Stay tuned for
that podcast. I need to go to the gym, all right.
Justin has to go do whatever he's doing. I don't
know what it is.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Not doing anything.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
I'm working until one o'clock, actually twelve thirty, so I
have a couple of hours. Okay, Well, on that note,
never are as our mic gets off.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Thank you for tuning in, everybody. We'll talk tomorrow.
