Speaker 1 (00:00):
He's deeper in the din with dangerous day. You know,
some people need peace and quiet to slide into sleep.
Others want noise, white noise machines. We use that. We
started that to drown out our neighbor back in the day.
How about enjoying the enchantment of the cable news and
a new poll, twenty four percent of people said it's
easier to fall asleep with the TV on in the background.

(00:22):
They didn't even specify what show could be something on
Netflix or late night comedy or maybe a house hunter's show.
Forty percent said they can't fall asleep with the TV on,
Thirty percent said it doesn't matter either way. Young adults
more likely to say they could fall asleep in any situation,
while older folks most likely to prefer no TV. See
when I was younger, I used to sleep with the
radio on. My wife broke me that habit. Then when

(00:45):
she would be gone, I would always have the TV
on because it would just make me sleep better. Now,
any kind of noise at night, except for like some
constant white noise noise of a fan or humidifier, keeps
me asleep, just kind of drowns out the outside stuff.
But nothing like TV because the commerc go way too
loud or the variance of light flashing. Sixty five percent
said they have a TV in their bedroom, number higher

(01:07):
among conservatives in the South. Fourteen percent said there's always
a TV on when they're falling asleep, whether they like
it or not. Twenty five percent said usually or sometimes,
while fifty three percent said rarely or never. The demographic
most likely to say it's on always middle aged women
in the South or in the well. What a hobby
makes somebody seem more attractive, they ask people on the Internet.

(01:29):
Some of the best responses. A guy who can really
cook well and as automatically is more attractive. Somebody into
outdoor activities. Other activities or hobbies that make somebody immediately
look more attractive. Camping and hiking is super attractive for
a guy. Also reading books, particularly good literature, talking about
it intelligently and not just the latest thriller. Somebody into fitness,

(01:52):
a girl who plays golf, a man who can fix things,
big muscular men with tiny kittens, any man in general
who loves animals and loves to explore nature. A guy
who can play guitar, a woman who plays an instrument
and people who can sing. And I don't mean drunkenly
karaoke stuff, although that can be fun too, so according
to the Internet, that's what we find more attractive. Maybe

(02:14):
I need to get some more hobbies too. In again
for another episode of Deeper in the Den with dangerous
