Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wake up, Wake Yo, Tess, wake yo, as wake up.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Well, well, well.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Hi everybody, good morning. It's Tuesday, but it's actually an
iconic day for this show. Tuesday, March twenty fifth Foreign.
Do you know what that's yes?

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Woh, guys, I was talking to somebody about this.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
Has it been can anyone? I'm not good with this
six that's what I thought.

Speaker 5 (00:31):
It's twenty nineteen.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
That's a long time.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Only reason, yes, the only reason I know this is
because turn around, look at the calendar. Pop wrote on
our calendar, happy six year, because today, to remind us,
today is our six year anniversary. In the in the
world of radio, in the world of morning shows. Yes,
I mean listen, there are some iconic shows that have

(00:54):
been around for double digit years.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
But six years is a is a long time.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
It doesn't very long.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
And I think the most important part about it is.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
They let us stick it out through COVID. Because I
know no one's told me this, but they don't need to.
We were a new show and then COVID hit. They
got rid of a ton of people. I know our
show had to have been on the shopping block, there's
no question. Because we were so new.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
I think so too.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
And I think there was a conversation because people let
this conversation out that weren't supposed to that they were
thinking about maybe switching their radio station to something else
at one point, yeah, which would have been crazy.

Speaker 6 (01:30):
It doesn't feel like six years, No, it doesn't. Honestly
feels like three, which is a good thing.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
Just got rid of the word new last year, like
two years.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Which is good because I think we've been a part
of some morning shows where like three months or six
months has felt like years.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
It just dragged on.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
I was a part of a morning show that was
like we lasted from April to like November, and it
was just pure hell hell.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
For that I was part of when we lasted from
January to feb it was like a month. Really, No,
I don't I don't know how long I was on
with Frankie for.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
But it wasn't long.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Oh, I think I could set you because you guys
came on in July, yeah, and then February.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
I think, yeah, it wasn't long. God, how long were
you Ramiro and I doing that show?

Speaker 1 (02:14):
We did it like about three years, okay, which is
you know, I thought that one was gonna last really good. Yeah,
and then whatever happened happened the next you know, but
six years is something positive.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
It's really good.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Hundred and like I said, I you know, during twenty twenty,
when it was that really weird, everybody was home.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
People weren't listening the same way.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
The people that were listening were people that had to
go to work, like emergency personnel. It was just a
total different vibe. And you know, I wasn't sure what
was going to happen because they came to us and said, hey,
we need you guys to go an additional hour from
six to eleven. And I remember being like, guys, we
can't say no, yeah, we have to do this. We
have to do it for free, because I just don't

(03:01):
know what the future is going to be. I don't
know what's going to look like. I mean, our company
is still recovering.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
That was also the year where they made us take
unpaid vacations. We had two extra weeks.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Yeah home god, yeah, because they were trying to get
back to zero.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
Yeah, and I don't know, well it's public, so yeah,
so they're still not back.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
But no, I haven't seen it. Rais in years.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
Yeah, stock continue, the stock price is not doing well.
You can buy hot.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
This is how we don't continue to celebrate a seventh year.

Speaker 5 (03:34):
People involved.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Right, If we can get that people, we can buy
the majority of stock, and then we can own.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
They played themselves millions of dollars. Yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Wonder if we could get anybody you know, or a
couple of people during the show today to call in.
We have had people call in and admit I've had
people call in and be like Ashley, when they first
announced the show, you, I was so mad, like I
hated you. I didn't want to listen to you. And
then I listened for a while and now I love
the show. Or somebody that's just like I've been listening
for the last six years, Like I listened when it started.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
I'm still here.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
I think in the beginning people were upset because the
Breakfast Club was on and then totally but let's just
be real. The Breakfast Club the ratings were horrible, horrible.
They were so like business wise, it didn't make sense
and they weren't local.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Yeah and yeah, and when I took over, and by
the way, Charlottagne was like so excited for me, one
of the most excited people for me. It was never
h We're going to try to be the breakfast club.
We're nothing like their show is their show and our
show is our show. But that was that was a
weird time for me there for a minute, because people
were mad. I mean people were mad when I came

(04:43):
on with you and Romeiro because they still wanted Pebbles,
like it's just the radio weird and and again people
just get used to that's just the way it is
for them. And nobody likes a schedule to be broken.
I mean I certainly don't want to have one, like
a routine.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Pebbles wasn't on the show, No, he was.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Gone, and then I auditioned, yeah, list so all the
time thinking that all of y'all were together.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
It was literally just me, Santi and Rameiro.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
I did not know ye yeah yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
And then Pebbles was great with you, you know, she
was like negative and all that stuff comp separate like amazing.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
Yeah, like there's no people.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
Were up at first, but I think they came around
quick change change. People have except change, yeah, you know
what I mean, Like my.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Routine is my routine and if something changes. I remember
when we switched over to this building, I was like wait,
what what do you mean. I just don't I don't
like when things aren't the way.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
This building I was like about time, No, it was,
it was.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
It was falling apart. But I've actually only had real
radio beef with one person.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
But by the way, I forgot to play this cliff
for you.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Guys.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
We got mentioned on.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
I can't remember. I'm gonna get the clip and I'll
play for you. But we we got mentioned. Basically, the
guy insinuated that our whole station is AI.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Really yeah guy, yes, yes, as a crackhead, Justin like
that's crazy.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Justin from down the hall said it to me because
you know, he likes to get me going always.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
It's the sports Hub, Sports Hub, Toucher and Hardy.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
The Big Show.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
Yeah, I used to work over there, just talking about radio.
He made it quick.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
He made a little thing like, well, you know, jamming
and kiss went away like it's all AI anyway, No
one listens to kiss since Maddie.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
I think he's friends with Maddie.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yes he is, okay, so yeah, while we always get
called in the cross.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
But the thing is, shouldn't say anything about us because
if anybody could like back up, like anything between fighting
or or talk condish.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
It's us, right, hello, right, you want us to be
other side?

Speaker 5 (07:03):
Yeah, I met other people in this business. Business, they're
not tough, they're not tough.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
Yeah, bitch, bless o my god. Well you know what, guys,
Happy sixth anniversary to us,
