If you're interested in comedy writing, this episode is FOR YOU...because I sit down and chat with one of the best in the biz. Writer/Producer from Late Night with David Letterman and a wee show called The Simpsons, TIM LONG parks his mug at the mic and we have ourselves a helluva a good time. I expect you will too if you give this episode a listen.

A terrific and insightful chat with comedian and SiriusXM host/exec Ben Miner. We discuss many things... so, so many things... if I told you them here, it may perhaps dissuade you from listening to the entire episode which would be, frankly, the cruellest thing I could imagine doing to you. What a lovely and pleasant chat we had! By "we" I mean "myself and my guest James Hartnett". Laurence Brown uses the term "Youtube sensation" as a joke, but in his case it's the truth, dammit! And I'm a fan. I had a terrific chat with him about how his online adventure came to be, why he moved from England to America, and why he has never deigned to set foot in Canada.

After another healthy (long) hiatus (busy with production on Corner Gas Animated Season 2) Brent Butt returns to The Buttpod, and sits down with his very special guest, and old friend, Kevin McDonald, to discuss The Kids in The Hall, Canadian vs US comedy, first forays into showbiz, and the secret ability of cows... among many, many other things.

After a stupidly lengthy hiatus (currently delivering Corner Gas Animated Season 2) Brent welcomes tremendously talented comedian, and all around good egg, DJ Demers to the hallowed heights of Sparrow Media Towers, to discuss his time on 'America's got Talent', Just For Laughs, Canadian vs American showbiz, and 'The Golden Triangle'...(whatever the hell that is!)

Brent parks his carcass across from comedian and best selling author Charlie Demers, to discuss labour relations, family relations, animation, and crime fiction.  Among many, many other things. 

Brent welcomes comedian extraordinaire and podcast pioneer GRAHAM CLARK to the 67th floor of Sparrow Media Towers, to discuss comedy, journalism, being a young detective in Calgary, and how (and why) somebody might go about painting pictures using nothing but the beard on their face.  Loads of laughs.  Loads of fun.

Brent sits down with his Corner Gas co-star Fred Ewanuick (Hank Yarbo) to discuss his role on the show, what he thinks of the new animated version, what TV shows he loved as a kid, how to make beer, and whether or not cross-checking to the windpipe is officially allowed in lacrosse.

At long last, episode 6 gets launched into the world.  A lotta laughs this week, with special guest PHIL HANLEY, in from NYC to do a run of west coast comedy clubs.  We discuss dyslexia, mutiny, hiding from angry passengers on a cruise ship, and all that kind of jazz.  Big laughs and big fun.

Comedian, improviser, and award winning comic book writer IAN BOOTHBY makes his way up to the 67th floor of Sparrow Media Towers to set Brent straight on about 850 different topics, including Elvis' favourite superhero, how high were the Brady Bunch writers, and breaking into CBC to covertly write comedy sketches.  Whole lotta laughs!!!
