In this episode of the 'A Lease On Life' podcast, host Ally Ammo explores the common cycles around change and happiness from her book, 'Detangling the Web of Life: The Complete Guide to Understanding You and Everyone Else.' Though these cycles exist on a spectrum - we all are stuck repeating them on some level. Being stuck in cycle of change is fuelled by a pursuit of happiness, yet often people will chase external events to find joy. Meanwhile they're missing the contentment they could find in their current lives in the process. She shares personal experiences, including insights from her past relationships and career, to illustrate simultaneously being stuck in both of these cycles. Ally also introduces the cycle of stagnation, which is characterised by a fear of change.
This episode encourages listeners to reflect on their own lives and identify the presence of both of these cycles so that they too can break free from them. She also previews upcoming masterclasses and workshops aimed at breaking these cycles and promoting sustainable happiness.
