(00:02):
That third spot is still up for grabs but the task is slightly
more difficult. To win Ibrox today would bolster
our position and confidence heading into the final stretch
of the season. We have the pre and post match
reaction from the match coming up, plus it's a double doze of
Don's woman action following their midweek outing against
Montrose and an away fixture against Dante United today.
Plus we have more Don's and supporters news and then I'm

(00:23):
back with the next of the matches in the SPFL on the AFC
Don's cast. Now we go to Switzerland.

(01:05):
This is the moment we've all been waiting for.
What? The.
Hell. Just.
The reaction in the arena. Is sensational.
We are ready to fly again. With United.

(01:28):
Kingdom's here with the EFC Don't cast on Sunday the 11th of
me. Happy Gothenburg Day the last
meeting between these two sides ended in A2 all draw out
Pataudry and with Rangers home struggles, it was perfectly
possible to get something out ofthis one.
Ahead to the game. Yeah, but Tillian spoke to Red
TV. Yeah, still our aim to arrive to
Europe, of course. And nothing has really changed

(01:49):
in our mentality, how we want toachieve.
And we have to go there and try to be the best we can be and
make a good performance and and then then this are the results.
So I think the team is ready. It's a good game to play now is
like the it's good. Like we have this tight
schedule. I think it's it's just focus

(02:12):
game by game now. The energy is high.
Everybody is more or less available, everybody's training
except Esther and Sievert. So the focus in in this in the
right space. OK, let's breakdown.
A disappointing afternoon at Ibrox, one that dealt a
significant blow to our hopes ofsecuring third place in the
Premiership at end of Rangers 4.Aberdeen nil.
A brutal second-half collapse for the Dawns after a composed

(02:34):
start in Glasgow. The Mittalene rang.
The changes following last weekend's loss to Saint Mirren
outweigh Nisbet, Palaversa and Morris all to the bench, while
Alfie Dorrington missed out through illness.
Then came Dabak, Povarak, McGrath and Christa Tobers, who
returned from injury. Alexander Jensen also returned,
taking a spot among the Sabs. It was a KG opening 20 minutes
with neither side creating match.

(02:56):
Aberdeen looked disciplined and organised, pressing well and
denying Rangers early space. Toby Kiskinen came close after a
sharp through ball from Ockels but the shot was blocked.
Rangers serial Dessers then had two golden chances, a stab wide
from close range and a free header that somehow missed the
target. Aberdeen responded with a
promising move from McGrath and Kiskinen but Liam Kelly, calm

(03:16):
and collected, made the save. Both side had the ball in the
neck before the break but VAR intervened twice, first to deny
Desers Fed offside and then to chalk off Dabag's rebound finish
after a free kick. The score level at nil nil going
into half time. On 55 minutes Nicholas Ruskin
sliced through the Don's back line with simple ball and Cerny
calmly finished past Meet off tomake it 1 nil. 3 minutes later

(03:40):
it was 2 nil, this time Desers turning in from close range.
After good work again for Cerny and Ruskin, Aberdeen had a big
chance to pull one back. Gay's drive was saved and
Kiskanen couldn't convert the rebound.
Then Polvara blasted a golden opportunity over the bar from a
corner and the punishment came swiftly.
A poor clearance from Conoster fell straight to Igamine, who
took one touch and lashed in Rangers third.

(04:02):
It was 3 nil and the game was out of reach.
Late heroics from Demeter Mitov kept the score down.
Until stoppage time, that is. In the 93rd minute a heavily
deflected effort off Jeff T spanned into the far corner
sealing A4 nil right. The Dawns will now need to
regroup quickly with fixtures running out and that third spot
in danger. A promising start and dad by
poor defending and missed chances.

(04:23):
A Taf lesson. A Diabrox.
Jimmy, what's your reaction after that?
No, of course, like the performance wise and especially
after their their first goal, how we act not like a team.
We play as individuals and it's still important to even if not
have the best day, you have to stay in the game and give you an

(04:43):
opportunity and a chance to takesomething from this game.
Instead the opposite. We start playing individually
and open up space everywhere, especially inside our our team,
inside our block. And then it's easy for them to
play football and we don't deny them anything in this moment.
And that's a thing we just have to improve for the long term.

(05:04):
But now we don't have so much time for the next game.
But it's we can't do in this emotional things when things get
against us. I think the first half it's a
solid block, but we don't createso much.
We were, but still we were stable.
In the second-half we start better and creating some
chances, but when they score 10,everything, just how we act as a

(05:28):
collective team just disappear and and that's matureness and
behaviour. We just need to change as quick
as possible because we we have to show ourselves, our fans
travelling here that we have much more inside us as a team.
When when things go tough and and trust sometimes you don't
have the day, but we have still a chance if you play as a team

(05:50):
to get something out from these games.
Do you feel as if it just fell apart in the second-half?
I think like even score 10, I think like we stop acting the
the way we want and then it's super difficult and we play
alone, we play individually, 11 individuals running around
instead of one team and then it's super difficult to play
football. It's still a collective sport.

(06:11):
A lack of discipline second-half.
Yeah, it's a lot of things. Of course, if you have call it
tactical discipline if you want, but it's more like finding the
moment to do, to try to find a way to press them, to find a way
to, to break out and, and createsomething more.
But instead we opened the whole block and they just keep playing

(06:33):
inside. And it was really easy for them
today to, to create chances. We don't do good enough as a
team. And on the evidence of the first
half, it looked like a very winnable game.
As I said, the the the block wasthere.
We didn't create too much. We start the second-half with
some good opportunities and, andthen when they scored it was it

(06:56):
was just too, too easy. Of course, one shot was a really
good shot and maybe one more, but the other two went straight
through our block and, and and after that the game was not in
our hands anymore. What's important obviously is
that it doesn't impact into the games coming up.
And of course it's. As you said, it's Celtic on

(07:17):
Wednesday night. I think it's about
responsibility. When you do like this
performance you had today, you you have to show up on Wednesday
and show everybody that we, we can react on this in a good way
and take responsibility for our performance and, and try your
best on Wednesday again. So that's what it's about in
football and life. When you have setbacks, you have

(07:37):
to try to do it better next time.
And your message to the fans, Jimmy.
Of course, if we're disappointedtoday, what we what we show and
and they were amazing by so manypeople here today again.
And we we have to give them moreand not, not always going to
win, but they have to feel that we are there and we have to show
them now on on Wednesday. Thanks, Jimmy.

On Wednesday night the relegation battle got even
tighter in SWPL 1. Aberdeen Women welcomed Montrose
in what was a miss win showdown and to the lights up.
But Audrey With just four pointsseparating the Dons from the
drop zone and Montrose breathingdown our necks, this was always

(13:00):
going to be a tense win. Fresh off A2 nil win over
Spartans last Sunday, we came into this clash with confidence.
A couple of changes for Scott Boo's side so Amy Black returned
to defence and Ellie Mae Cowie rewarded with a start after her
weekend heroics but this one haddrama written all over it.
The KG first half saw both side programming without reward on

(13:20):
Trolls looking threatening as Holly Daniel forced a big save
from McCann but we struggled to deal with the visitors
physicality up front. Half time came with the score
goal less and everything still to play for.
The breakthrough came late in the second-half.
Francesca Ogilvy, Aberdeen's stand out player, latched onto a
pass from Hannah Stewart and loved the keeper with a standing
finish, but Tawdry erapted one nil to Aberdeen.

(13:42):
But Montrose weren't. Dan Georgia Carter pulled them
level with just 8 minutes left, pouncing on a loose ball from a
set piece. Then came a moment of
controversy. Darcy Miller was denied what
looked like a clear penalty. Moments later Montrose struck
again. Holly Daniel cut in from the
right and called home a beauty to Ann Montrose.
The home fans stand With the clock ticking into the 96th

(14:03):
minute, Aberdeen threw everyone forward and it paid off.
From an Ogilvy corner corner Darcy Miller rose highest to nod
in the equaliser. A massive goal and possibly a
season saving win. Scott, that was a pretty wild
finish. How do you reflect on it?
Yeah, I mean, the game was always going to be a tight game.

(14:24):
And Troz have been doing really well lately and picking up
points and had some momentum going into this game.
So we knew it was going to be a tough match, but we really
wanted to, you know, stay in this division through a win
tonight. And at some, some points we
thought that that was going to be the case.

(14:45):
But you know, Montrose never gave in and they always, they
always battle right to the very end.
So at 21 down, you're then quitehappy to to take the point.
How frustrating is it that we can't just quite see it out when
we win them up at home less than10 minutes to go when we know
what's at stake and what's really a bit of frustrating
point? Yeah, because the the goals that

(15:06):
we conceded were really soft. And you know, one of them comes
from a long ball into the box which we've been practising.
We've been asking the players tobe brave and go and win the
headers. Can when you play against a team
that put the ball in the box, like when trolls do, then you've
got to be able to do that. Otherwise, if the ball drops in
the box, then the opposition areare ready because it's what they

(15:28):
that's how they play. And that's that's where the the
first goal comes from. How frustrating is it that maybe
we're just not quite probably atthe levels that we know the
capable of them? We saw maybe for a bet at the
start of the post split and I kind of think it's just not
quite there at the minute. Yeah, I mean, I think the the
the the players have shown a little bit of nerves, I think
over the the the last three or four weeks.
I think that the the way that wewant to play wish, you know,

(15:53):
being a possession based team, we've become a little bit more
transitional just because we're not keeping the ball well enough
and and that's not allowing us to get into any rhythm of play
in games. And that's something that we
really need to work on and get back to.
What tonight does do is some wayit sets up another massive game
on Sunday. We just got to turn our
attention to that now. Everything's about Sunday now,

(16:13):
everything's about 3 points on Sunday, you know, but United,
they've been they've improved aswell over the last three or four
weeks. So it's not going to be easy.
It's not even been easy against United this season.
It's always been tough, but we've managed to get the the
wins, but this one's a massive 1for us again on Sunday.
Just lastly, we said how important it would be that we
got the we got the fans out tonight and they certainly

(16:35):
showed up. So we've got to thank them for
that. Yeah, 100%.
It was great to come out and andsee the stand pretty much full
and, and get them behind us. It's great for the players to
have that at the Audrey. So yeah, thanks to to them and
long made that back and continue.
Cheers, Scott. No problem.
Thank you. Actually, talk about an impact.
Unbelievable. I know finally a goal, but I've

(16:57):
been desperate for it and to do it for Tadre is just mental.
So yeah, happy that. Must just be the moment that you
just you almost dream about scoring and that that way on the
game that means so much that Patodre well, I've.
Grown up an Aberdeen fan and to score here is just I can't, I
actually can't believe it and inthis season personally hasn't

(17:18):
been the best for me that that really topped at.
All all eyes were on Aberdeen woman who sealed our SWP 1
survival in style with a thumping 5 nil win over Dandy
United at Foundation Park this afternoon.
Coming off a dramatic midweek draw at Patodry, the Dons
arrived in Dandy knowing only a win would guarantee top flight
football next season. And they delivered with

(17:40):
confidence, composure and a touch of class.
Manager Scott Booth made three changes to the starting 11.
Injury time hero Darcy Miller was rewarded with a start.
Ohana Stewart missed out throughinjury.
Mendez and Phoebe Maddie were also handed places in the lineup
and they made their presence count.
The Dons flew out of the blocks just 4 minutes in.
Kelly Beatty opened the scoring with a sensational curling

(18:01):
effort into the top corner aftersome slick link at play with
Emma Elioski. A perfect start for Aberdeen.
Dundee United, already relegated, did try to respond
with Kayla McDonnell Nagua goingclose from distance but after
she was forced off with a hamstring issue, United
struggled to create clear cut chances.
Aberdeen second came just beforethe break.

(18:21):
A Darcy Miller overhead attempt was smartly flicked in by
Mendes, her first goal for the club since joining in January,
and it gave the Dons a comfortable two goal cushion at
half time. Into the second-half, Aberdeen
remained in control. Ellie Mae Cowie's introduction
added pace and width, while Francesca Ogilvy continued to
orchestrate from midfield, then again and BT both went close as

(18:43):
the pressure mounted. Then came the late avalanche.
In the 86th minute BT made it a brace, another sublime solo
effort curling off the undersideof the bar and just two minutes
later Hannah Ennis tapped in 1/4after a pinpoint delivery from
Nieve Noble. And the Dons weren't Dan.
Substitute Emily Craft added a fifth, commonly slotting home
from a perfectly weighted through ball by Ennis. 5 nil,

(19:03):
the final score at Foundation Park.
Aberdeen women survive and will play an SWP one next season.
A dominant performance when it matter most.

(19:32):
OK, let's catch up with the newsthen.
And Yami Talin has been awarded the Scottish Premiership Manager
of the Month award for April, his third award this season
after maintaining the club's undefeated league ran throughout
the month. The Dons gained 7 out of a
possible 9 points in April aftersecuring victories over Ross
County and Hibs as well as A2 all draw against Rangers,
positioning ourselves in the race for a top three finish.

(19:54):
And Yami is back in the spotlight, this time as a
contender for the Scottish Football Writers Association's
Manager of the Year award. Taline, who has guided the Dolls
to a potential Scottish cap triumph in his debut season, was
left out of the PFA Scotland's three man shortlist.
That honour went to Falkirk's John McGlynn, but the Swedish
boss now has another shot at glory.
He joins McGlynn, Rodgers and Grey on the SFWE's Manager of

Sunrise to sunset, our North Sea.
Kid is here and as the end of the season draws closer, the

of the city. Dedicated to the North Sea, the
new kit features a North Sea blue base and a distinctive
pattern with golden sand detailing.

(23:47):
The pattern visible across the front of the shirt is designed
to replicate the sun shimmering on its surface at sunrise or
sunset. The new Awake kit is available
to purchase now at afc.co.uk/shop and from the
Preparatory Club shop. Yeah, it's a beautiful kit.

(24:26):
Long. Time in the making, actually,
but obviously. A lot of hard work.
From people at the Audrey and Adidas to to bring it to to
fruition and actually what's theend we've got here?
You know, in the harbour at Aberdeen celebrating a a strip
that's. Synonymous with the northeast
of. Scotland synonymous with the.
Culture and the Industry of. This area, the North Sea, you
know, is a big part of. Aberdeen's identity.

(24:46):
And we've tried to reflect that in this beautiful kit.
Yeah, listen, we're absolutely delighted with the design.
I think of toys in the business community and and our fan base
really well. There's a great story behind it
and we're. Very, very lucky with the
corporate partners we. Have involved huge support
coming into the club, especiallyover the last couple of seasons,
we've seen a a massive growth inengagement with the business
community. So they have an event like this
and they're certainly this is absolutely magnificent and

(25:08):
they're I think people are quiteimpressed with the the kid
design and and obviously kid sponsors that like to see the
Brandon on it. OK.
So Sentinel Marina are the owners of the Portland Sentinel,
which is the platform today's event.
We've been in existence for for 15 years now since we started
the company and we have a fleet of 14 ships similar to this.

(25:30):
That trade around the world. Yeah, yeah.
No, absolutely. I mean, the relationship between
GAT and the AFC is probably the best part of two decades.
Few various. Levels of partnerships and
sponsorships. We're now one of the partners of
the the AFC. Women's team and Academy, which
is great for us. Gag UK, We've got our largest

(25:50):
operational office here in Aberdeen.
We hire over 65. People in Aberdeen so.
Being involved with the local football club, it's it's
brilliant for us. The GS here are global agents
that provide our service throughout the world, Logistics,
ships, agency and also fuel. We're here to launch the new

(26:13):
awake kit, the the North Sea kit.
It's a special kit. Just maybe start with you Maka,
get your thoughts on the top. Yeah.
Guys, we're here to watch the new Awake kit, the North Sea
kit. It's a special kit.
I wonder if we may just start with you Mac and get your
thoughts. Yeah, I actually really like

(26:34):
this kiss. My favourite colour is Navy, so.
And Emily gets this, didn't you?Yeah, I my predictions were.
So we have. Predictions of boy it would
look. Like and I said Navy gold, so
we're happy. You want to design anything in
particular You want to you want to talk to me about what you
thinking? No, you know, I actually like
it. I think the designers did a

(26:55):
great job. I like it's not too much yellow.
You know, I like that the Navy. Is sticking out a bit.
But no, I really like the details of it.
Great job, been a bit of a special event.
We're also we're on, we're on a boat at the harbour.
You ever been a part of this before?
Any previous clubs or is a new one?
No, this is a new one. When I got the texture going on

(27:15):
a boat at 9:00 in the morning I was like yay.
I've been about, it's a chilly one.
I've not been on a boat considering.
The occasion and it's. A It's a new one, it's a
different one, but definitely anexciting.
One it's. Just cold.
It's not probably the best day to to be in shorts, T-shirt.

(27:35):
It's not quite raining, but we not got the blue skies either.
But I know you must be happy to to meet all sponsors and see all
this and just be able to unveil. It's quite a special thing.
Yeah. No, it's always.
It's. Was a nice occasion.
To meet the sponsors, to get to actually know the people that
are behind the different names. And see faces.
Yeah, no, it's a nice. Little gathering, definitely.
It's a good way to start what could be quite an exciting day,

(27:57):
obviously with with later on howwe feel when looking forward to
it. Yeah, very much, very positive
and can't wait to play at our home ground again.
Obviously it's a Pitodri again as well.
So yeah, it's a big occasion andI like to talk to some of the
sponsors. I know some of them are
definitely coming, some I need to.
Talk to again. To make sure they will.
But, you know, we're looking forward to it.

(28:19):
It was a tough afternoon at Cormac Park as Aberdeen and
their eighteens hosted Rangers in our penultimate Club Academy
Scotland Elite League fixture onFriday.
Midfielder Ellis Clark returned to the starting 11 but it was
the visitors who left with all three points as Rangers secured
A convincing 3 nil win. Alexander Smith opened the
scoring before Cormac Christie pounced on a defensive mix up to
double the lead before the break.

(28:41):
Despite A spirited second-half showing and key saves from
captain Rodrigo Vittles, Aberdeen couldn't claw our way
back. Joshua Gentles sealed the win
for Rangers with a stunning halfvolley into the top corner.
The Yang Dons will look to end their season on a high this
Friday night as they travel to face Hibs.
More Yang Dons on loan picked upsome end of season accolades.
Findlay Marshall won Cove Rangers Goal of the Year for his

(29:03):
outstanding late effort which rescued A valuable point against
Montrose in February. Yang Player of the Year was
voted for by the players, management and staff and the
poll ended in a tie, the honour shared by Adam Emsley and Dylan
Lobbin. And it was a good week for
Findlay Marshall who has been named in the SPFL Team of the
Week after scoring for Cove Rangers in their win over on An
Athletic last weekend. There's good news for Don's

(29:25):
fans. Christers Tobers is back in
training and hangry to return toaction.
The Latvian defender signed for Swiss side Grasshoppers and
Journey had become a key part ofthe Dons defence before injury
halted his momentum. Yeah, but Talin says Tobers is
recovering well and is expected to feature in the final league
matches and crucially will be fit for the Scottish Cup final
against Celtic at Hampden on Maythe 24th.

(29:46):
Talin now did that with three games in seven days.
Managing player workload will bekey as Aberdeen look to finish
the season strong and prepare for a shot at silverware.
And a familiar face is set to return to Pittaudry this summer.
Defender Slobbedin Rubisic Rubisich has confirmed he
returned to Pittaudry this summer after a loan spell at
Novi Pazar in Serbia, a move he made for personal reasons to be

(30:07):
closer to home. Despite rumours there's no
option for Novi Pazar to buy in a buy.
I'm sorry. He's expected to back for pre
season and ready to fight for a spot in the team.
Rubisich had dropped down the pecking order after we signed 3
new centrebacks in January. His final game before the loan
was a tough one, stabbed off early in a three nil loss to
Saint Mirren. Rubensich has been a key player
for a Novi passer, helping theirpush for European qualification,

(30:30):
but his eyes are on a return to Patori, where he's under
contract until 2026. Now we go to Switzerland.
This. Is the moment we've all been
waiting for. What?
The hell just. The reaction?
In the arena is sensational. We are ready.

(30:56):
To fly. Again with United Kingdom.
English calls. Ladies and gentlemen.
It's the final two games of the season coming up this week.
First step for us is our last home game of the season against
Celtic on Wednesday night. Kick off at Bataudry is at 8:00

Then on Saturday it's a 12:30 PMkick off against Dundee United
at Tanadice for the final match of the season.

(31:39):
Aberdeen supporters will be in the Jenny Kerr Stand.
However there will be a number of segregation areas in play
which will see the allocation reduced by approximately 1000
tickets. Dundee United and Police
Scotland have requested that Ultras Aberdeen purchase tickets
at the rear of the Fair Play at Lower Stand.
In addition to this, although the cloud requested the ability
to sell to Don's fans direct as per previous matches, ticket

(32:01):
sales will be conducted digitally through the Denti
United website to try and maintain an element of priority.
The link to the Denti United website will be available to AFC
supporters at via our own ticketing portal over 4 phases
based on priority points totals. You'll find the link in the
usual place which will direct you to their site.
The game will only show with thelink when you are logged in and

(32:23):
qualify for the sales phase. So the first phase is.
Tickets for that match will be available to supporters with 300
or more points online from 5:00 PM tomorrow, Monday the 12th of
May. Phase 2 is for those supporters
with 150 or more priority pointsand will have access to purchase

PM. It's a general sale.

live on Red TV. The other matches in the
Premiership on Wednesday are Rangers versus Dundee United,

(33:07):
St. Mirren are at home to Hibs, Ross
County are away to Dundee, Hearts are at home to Saint
Johnstone and Mediwell are at home to Kilmarnock.
That's all 7:45 PM kick offs on Wednesday.
Then on Saturday it's Celtic versus Saint Mirren and Hibs
versus Rangers, both those are at 12:30 PM and on Sunday it's
Kilmarnock versus Hearts, Ross County versus Madiwell and St.

(33:30):
offs. You can follow the live match
starts and live score updates onour socials at AFC Donscast or
on the website afcdonscast.co.ukfor both the Celtic and Dundee
United games. I'll be back with a Donscast
double next Sunday after the final match is in the
Premiership. You'll catch the final AFC

(33:50):
Donscast of the season online ataround 8:00 PM.
If you're heading to either match, safe travels till next
Sunday. Thanks for listening and stand
for you. Red.
Simple colour. Which means so much everyone

(34:14):
knows to who it belongs. Dots, the famous Aberdeen Ruid
in the northeast. Emblem of our city.
Red flag flying high D to the dawn under our granite sky.
Renowned on these. Shores Europe knows too,
defeating the best. From East.
To West red, not blue, not green.

(34:38):
Everyone has a choice to supporttheir local team.
Do it and you will see. And feel what others never.
Do relentless support through ups and downs, European cities
to seaside towns. Day.
Or night, rain, wind or hail. Rd rail, even by sea or sky.

(35:00):
Dedication to the cause which money can buy.
Rewarding sometimes. Engaging, always dull, never
real. Emotional, dramatic, ready to do
it again. Everyone together, down, up.

(35:23):
Torture. RE.
